Looking for home-style German cuisine and craving fried potatoes, we came here on a Friday evening without a reservation. The very friendly waiter happened to have 2 seats left. However, it is advisable to reserve a seat because the restaurant was full. Both the Condon Bleu and the rum steak were very tender, juicy, tasty and huge. The fried potatoes were crispy, flavorful and exactly how I imagined them. The side salad was very fresh, the dressing was homemade and excellent. The food was exceptionally tasty and the portions were too big for us, so we only managed half of it. We had the waitress, who was also exceptionally friendly, pack up the leftovers for us because they made another complete meal. Most of the plates at the neighboring tables were cleaned, and the other guests also seemed to enjoy it very much. The prices were reasonable. We only paid 65 euros for 2 main courses and 4 drinks. We really liked the Alt-Irlich country inn and we will definitely come back here.

The food was bland, the caramalization failed and it literally burnt. I can understand if the new chef wasn't under Alfons supervisor and delivered that, but I saw alfons greeting us - Leading to the question: Is the quality standard in that restaurant so low? C'mon guys, I'd better go to Burger King next time than that.

I was very positively surprised. Some of the tables are very cramped, but it's comfortable. There are many beautiful things to look at in the room. What surprised me most was the food: good home-style cooking; I couldn't decide what to eat. Me and the others really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and we were satisfied with the price-performance ratio.
