Were yesterday November 19th. the second time at John’s Burger on Gutenbergstrasse and we thought it was absolutely great. John’s Burger is a beautifully rustic shop that has nothing in common with the other burger shops you know. (Not McDreck or Strangler King).. dim lighting, thrown together furnishings, that's exactly what makes it so charming. (My opinion) open grill, you can see what's sizzling if you choose the right seat. Not a big selection. But definitely more than sufficient. With every meal there is a small portion of homemade coleslaw... the quality is absolutely top, both meat and burger buns or the various toppings right through to the fries. They are served really crispy, ketchup/mayo comes to the table in a bottle. The menu is in English, but it shouldn't be a problem even for those who don't speak the language. However, as far as Gutenbergstrasse is concerned, there are also very good and friendly employees. In addition to the burgers, the sandwiches (the ones in Burger Bun's) are also recommended are served). It was unusual at first, but it wasn't a disadvantage in terms of taste. The pulled pork was tender and not dry at all, the fried chicken on the sandwich was plentiful and juicy... the homemade barbecue sauce was a must! In terms of price, quality and portion size, it's absolutely top! In my opinion, we definitely recommend the Alpirsbacher Zwickel beer. The taste is really good... it goes well with the dishes... and very important... there has always been good music playing. It's definitely not the last time we've been here... when we come to Kiel in the future, we've planned a visit to John's Burger... keep it up.

Very cozy. Never a problem getting a table with a reservation. Burgers and fries were very tasty. The cocktails extremely good. There is a tasting offer with 3 cocktails, highly recommended!

The best hamburger in the city. The home made hamburgers are really delicious. Juicy and tasty. The staff are very friendly. The place is cool. Everybody in Kiel should try it.

I ordered a meatfree inca burger menu via lieferando but the customer service and overall experience was really bad. They took more than 50 min to deliver and there was no update about delivery time in the app, so I never got any update untill I called them. When the food came, the burger was a mess almost all the ingredients were out in the box. I literally had to open the bun and put everything in by myself. The fries were the worst, it was cold and hard, didn't even look like fries. Probably they had it prepared for a longtime. When you spend 15€, you expect atleast warm food and not some cold hard mess. Never going to order again.

Delivery time was not met, even though the app said the order was on the way and should arrive at 8:55 p.m., it only arrived 45 minutes later. After the third call, we were told that the driver was now on the move, that the order had been mixed up, and we were asked what was ordered. Quite disorganized and unfriendly on the phone. Excuses were sought, which is not professional. They asked for a call back, which was confirmed, but after 10 minutes we had to call again ourselves because we had lost the number. At least the food arrived warm and tasted good. Nothing earth-shattering but delicious. But it doesn't take away the first impression. The offers on Uber Eats are quite good, so we ordered there too. Accordingly, the price is really good

The citizens are very classy when it comes to taste. The possibility of eating on site can still be improved, but that doesn't affect the quality. People are very friendly. I'll have to see if I can use the lifer service, but just to know what the waiting times are like.

Oh man, I was looking forward to a good burger. Unfortunately the burger and truffle fries were below average. I had no luck.

Price performance doesn't quite match, you get full, but that's it.
