Very friendly service. Drinks were served without ice upon request – great service! The burgers were super tasty, just like in other cities. There were more golden fries on the plate than in other cities. The atmosphere is always very cozy – right in the city center. We'd love to come back!

It's my 3rd visit here in a row. All in all, nearly the best in my life so far! The servers are super friendly and polite. They quickly switched over to fluent English, when they heard I wasn't a German speaker. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes at noon on a Saturday. They easily took care of special needs regarding the meals every time. I'm pretty satisfied.

A standard for hamburgers, a typical Hans im Glück restaurant. It's great that even vegans have a choice, and the regular burgers are actually pretty good. The service was friendly and courteous. However, you're spending a lot of money for a simple meal. The seating is a downside. Hard benches and tables for four people are far too small for adults. I couldn't stand it for long.

We went there for lunch with our three kids, and everyone loved it. Our youngest was given a big coloring page to play with until the food arrived. This visit had a lasting impact on us. Generous menu, but dubious lunch specials. Service was haphazard. Several guests left because they weren't paying attention. We also had to wait a long time for everything. So, not really recommended.

Waited 40 minutes for two burgers. When I asked why it was taking so long, I was met with, "How long did you expect to wait?" Absolutely outrageous. All this fun for €40, too. When you go to the bathroom, you find a toilet bowl with a plastic bag installed, as if we were at war. What a shame, I always liked going to Hans im Glück...

Absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly! We had a vegetarian burger and two meat burgers with sweet potato fries, and everything was very good. The orange mustard is my absolute favorite; you should try it. All in all, highly recommended.

Yes, exactly! It was a visit comparable to the Grimm fairy tale "Hans in Luck": wasting money on two burgers and a portion of fries, all cold! And then there's a wait of about 40 minutes. Hans would have been lucky, but we were unlucky!

Super cute restaurant Large selection of burgers, and you can customize any burger and change things. Even with complicated orders, the servers remain super relaxed and funny!! We had a really short wait, and our food arrived piping hot. It was absolutely delicious!! I HIGHLY recommend the Smashburger!

We had reserved a table for 7 people at 7 p.m. today. The order was placed at 7:20 p.m. because we were still waiting for someone. Up until then everything was fine. When we arrived it was really full but it was getting less and less crowded, which I think is manageable. I didn't get the feeling that there was a lack of staff. At 8:10 p.m. we asked how long our food would take. A waitress came and said 5 minutes at the most and to pass the time she offered us another drink on the house. But since we all had large drinks, we declined. The food came, no joke, an hour after we ordered, which is really sad. We were about to leave. The staff were very friendly. But despite this, 3 stars for the service because of the wait. Something has to change; it took far too long. On top of that, one of the dishes was cold and we didn't want to wait another hour.

Got turned away in the door with a message saying we open in 10 minutes when the time was 1058 and Google Maps says you open at 11. Next person coming at 1103 got the same message. I'll bring my money to the next place.

We were in Kiel two weeks ago on a very warm, sunny day and wanted to take a short break at this café/bar-restaurant, have something cold to drink, relax, and have lunch. Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing overall. Positive: We received a friendly welcome at first, which was unfortunately the best part of our visit. The drinks we ordered initially tasted fine, but after the first few sips, that completely changed. The rest just tasted like stale water, as if it had been sitting in the sun for days, even though it was chilled. Our table wasn't clean, and the outdoor benches were uncomfortable. We left over half of our drink because it was simply undrinkable. The wait staff actively approached other guests but completely ignored us, even though it was clear that we were long finished; our glasses were clearly pushed aside. After waiting for a while, I went inside to pay and find another restaurant for lunch. Unfortunately, the cashier was very unfriendly. No eye contact, no questions asked if we enjoyed our meal, which is something you usually expect and expect in restaurants. Even a simple "goodbye" was missing, even though I said my goodbyes politely... Overall, a very disappointing experience. It's a shame, because the first impression was actually good, but never again.

My food was unfortunately lukewarm, but well prepared. Service was moderately good. I saw many employees on their phones. Unfortunately, there was no water supply for dogs during our stay due to the heat. I visited both the Hans im Glück and the one in Kiel to eat there. Unfortunately, the service in Kiel is much worse, which I find very unfortunate. Unfortunately, no one knew the story behind the restaurant. But you can google it. You should check out restaurants carefully beforehand. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Unfortunately, I had to correct my first review because it wasn't approved.

Everything was good except for the fact that it was advertised as gluten-free, but unfortunately, they didn't have a gluten-free bun. So I had to get the burger without the bun. I can't say whether that's always the case or just unavailable that day. Otherwise, the service and food were excellent!

I've walked past it 194 times... today I went into the Gudd Stub for the first time because of the rain. Wow - absolutely delicious. The hamburgers and sweet potatoes were really great. I'll definitely go there again. Whether it's in Kiel or Heidelberg or...?

I can't say anything about the food, I drank a Coke. The service was very good, they came to the table immediately if you wanted something. I really liked the atmosphere, a lot of wood was used, so it looked very rustic.

The three of us ordered something from the lunch menu (which is available until 5 p.m.). The service was very friendly and accommodating, the food was ready quickly and really tasty. The ambience is actually very nice as I really like the decor and style of the chain. However, the restaurant was quite untidy - the floor was almost dirty. That wasn't really appetizing to look at. Price-performance is ok. You just have to get used to having to pay a good €20 per person for a burger meal. Thank you, we'll be back.

The vegan burger was very tasty. The selection of sauces for the fries is great. Service was quick and friendly. The tables are a bit too cramped for me, but that wouldn't stop me from eating here again.

Very nice service. Son young guy, always friendly. We almost always go here when we are in Kiel. The food is delicious, especially the things with truffles and the homemade iced teas. The store is always full. However, the tables are a bit small.

Expensive! Small cocoa/cappuccino expensive and only half filled as the rest is just foam. Churros taste like fries because they were obviously fried in the same oil as fries. Not really recommended!

Good place with good food. Perfect place to get ready for action if you have just taken bridgehead or intend to retreat. Close to the ferry terminal and shopping. Good beer that should be drunk a lot and often.

Very helpful service, pushed tables together for us so the six of us could sit together. Since we usually go to the comparatively huge Hans im Glück in Wuppertal, we found it quite cramped here.

For a shopping break in between. You can also come in just to have a tasty espresso at the bar. Many guests do that. Colorful cocktails are also popular. Friendly service and crowd.

It was okay, the table and bench wobbled annoyingly, so we had to worry about the drinks I had the Loaded Avocado Fries which were pretty disappointing but okay for a quick craving. It would actually have been more worthwhile to order normal fries and guacamole with it, because the 4 lettuce leaves and halves! cherry tomatoes were a joke

We ordered online, after an hour of waiting the order was canceled for no reason. Not again!
