We were there on Thursday, October 10th. there and are quite disappointed with both the service and the food. The cocktail consisted of 3/4 ice cubes. When we asked, we were told that it was “normal.” The peppermint tea we ordered was not fresh or had no mint leaves, even though we explicitly asked for it before ordering. Our complaint resulted in a sulking/insulted reaction from the waitress. The grill plate we ordered was carelessly prepared and tasted a disaster (unfortunately we had a stomach ache at night, as we feared). Nobody was asked in between whether everything was OK and everything tasted good. When we asked later, we were told that the waitress had only been working here for a week. For us, these are just excuses because good induction/training looks “different”. We miss the old, good days when the service staff were full of enthusiasm, energy, friendliness... For us it is no wonder or understandable that many restaurants give up/close when there is no customer orientation and constructive criticism is not taken seriously. “Never again Frankenheim!” is our conclusion. Since Mettmann is relatively small, word has already gotten around about what to think of Frankenheim. Are the operators/owners aware of this? By the way, we went to another restaurant nearby afterwards. This was “crammed full” in comparison. Anyone can imagine what that tells us...

Food is ok, place is nice, service is less than one star.

Incredibly bad service coupled with the lowest cooking skills I have ever experienced. Really all the dishes were unseasoned and tasteless, but at the same time overcooked. We were there at the best time on the weekend, but still the only table. That should have made me suspicious! However, we had to wait almost half an hour for our food. How can you mess up fried potatoes? Even if I wanted to, I couldn't make fried potatoes that bad. But the blonde waitress was the best. Kindness or a smile probably costs extra. When I asked two things about the dishes, she rolled her eyes and sighed loudly. I've really never experienced anything like that. Tip to the waitress: If you hate your job, do something else. You're not made for this!

We were there on a special day. There is nothing wrong with the operation. But.... But the food...it's so bad and getting worse. Schnitzel from the deep fryer... and permanently, not just once. Fries and schnitzel dry and without taste. What's wrong with you? Why are you doing this?
