Terrifying!!! Today I had the Champion Rahm Schnitzel with fries and salad! I am very disappointed and also scared. The schnitzel was definitely convenience food, at least that's how it tasted. The ppmmes were very dry and didn't taste like anything. The sauce contained 3 small pieces of mushrooms. The dish costs €24.50, which for me is significantly overpriced for the quality of the food.

Service underground. We were there with over 20 people. Went there at 8:00 p.m., then everyone left around 11:00 p.m. because nobody had anything to drink and nobody showed up. During this time there were maybe 3 or 4 drinks for everyone. Really lousy for a brewery. Normally “Köbes” comes by every 10 minutes with a beer wreath. Here - none. The kitchen is closed without asking who else would like dessert. So friendliness and good service are a long time coming here at Marienbild. The next Christmas party will definitely be somewhere else, of course!

It was absolutely delicious there. Cool Cologne atmosphere. I would suggest reservation. However, you can also relax and wait for a free table using a gaff at the counter.

We were no longer served from the kitchen after 8:10 p.m. and actually had to leave the restaurant at 10:30 p.m. I understand the personnel problem, I understand the cost problem, but as I am a service provider myself, I know: The guest, no matter how bad he is, must be honored. Beautiful beer garden - a Kölsch oasis in the inner courtyard. Great atmosphere before an FC home game. We'll be happy to come back or from now on it's a must - the next table has already been reserved. Great value for money. Schnitzel with mushroom cream with fries and salad for 19.90 very fair and original Viennese only 24.95. Drinks are of course fair, as you would expect in a Gaffel brewery.

Always the same good level. It's simply a beautiful brewery in the heart of Braunsfeld. It belongs to this Veedel. Exuberant and good atmosphere with a certain level of noise that goes with it. The Kölsch is super tasty and the food is great. The waitresses are also great. In summer you can sit very well in the beer garden. Luckily it will be back soon. I can only recommend it.

Four of us were in the Gaffel beer garden in Marienbild on July 26th, 2024. Personally, it was my first time there. The food came very quickly, the location both inside and outside is cozy and our waiter Jasper was awesome. We had a lot of fun with you, thank you for that! And greetings to the mushroom shirt.

Ambiance is nice. Simple but inviting, nice beer garden in the back yard. Seat cushions on the folding chairs outside would have been nice. Rarely have I sat so uncomfortable. Service was completely fine, helpful, very friendly and accommodating. The food is really good. We were offered really good food for a spontaneous lunch. Pork chops (amazingly juicy and aromatic, not overly seasoned) Fried potatoes (fried potatoes, but solid) Bacon Bones (you can't go wrong, that's not what happened) Then pasta with chanterelles in cream sauce (plenty of chanterelles, mushrooms from Germany, sauce wasn't too heavy/greasy. In terms of price, everything is in the middle range and OK. However, the desserts are outrageously expensive for what is on offer. 10.90 euros for a glass of Greek yogurt with a splash of apricot jam, 2 cookies and three berries is really audacious. The same goes for the crème brûlée. It can easily cost 10 euros depending on the restaurant and location, but 10.90 euros here is simply way too much for the presentation and quantity. Then there was sorbet on the menu (same price). We haven't even tried this. It was clear to us in advance that it would never live up to this price.

Visited you yesterday before the England Slovenia game. The Wiener Schnitzel was an absolute disgrace. Soaked in fat and not yet 100% cooked. Add a touch of potato salad with cucumber and you're done Price-performance and taste don't match here for just under €25. Plus just one waiter for almost 100 people. If you have a staff shortage you have to set up fewer tables!!! We will definitely not come back a second time.

I like the shop. Service was a little reserved last time, considering you're sitting in the Bauhaus. The food has always been delicious. With the spare ribs, a little decorative greenery would look nice on the plate. But it's complaining on a high level.

There is also a lot for vegetarians. The Köbese always have a funny saying on their lips, the Kölsch comes quickly and the atmosphere is lively and inviting. On temperate days you can also enjoy some peace and quiet.

The older gentleman who served us was quite unfriendly. I don't know if it was because of my dark skin tone. I'm always friendly when I enter a restaurant/eatery, so it can't be my demeanor. All other guests were warmly welcomed by him. Then we were urged to hurry up when choosing drinks, even though the menus had only just been put at the table. In my opinion we had to wait an exceptionally long time for our food to arrive, which tasted good enough. I won't be entering the store again in the future.

Went there yesterday after an FC game. The food was very good and came quickly. The waiter appeared visibly drunk later in the evening. It took ages for the next round of Kölsch to arrive and we had to wait another 20-25 minutes for the bill. Yes, it was full but that's not possible.

Great Kölsch, but in contrast to the fried potatoes the prices are high. The schnitzel was delicious, the side salad was sparse and, as I said, the fried potatoes were unfortunately unseasoned. The ambience is typical of a brewery, the seating area for eight people is rather narrow, but that's just how it is in a brewery. The service, on the other hand, was quite good, quick and friendly. Despite the prices being too high in my opinion, I would stop by again for a schnitzel with Kölsch.

Small, rustic brewery with very good food

There were just way too many people in there at carnival. A trip to the exit or to the toilet had to be planned very early. You could hardly move to the music. Some had reserved tables for themselves. How did you get such reservations when there was no advance ticket sales? 15 euros just for entry was also quite expensive, not even the cloakroom was included. The Kölsch price was okay at 2 euros. Food was okay, staff friendly.
