First of all, free beer all evening because someone in the family had something to celebrate.

A very nice, well-kept brewery! The service staff were super friendly (thanks to the "Köbissin 😀) and quick, the food was very tasty, the portions of the food were also suitable for those who were very hungry and the drinks were well chilled. All in all very appetizing. Thumbs up and always worth a visit!

We had lunch here. There are daily changing lunch offers. Here we got a delicious starter soup, a side salad and a main course for just under €13. Really highly recommended and everything is really delicious! There was also a delicious Kölsch. The service was very friendly and attentive.

We always enjoy coming here for 1.2 beers. My parents met here 70 years ago 🤗

Price performance ok for Cologne Drinks quite expensive but it's Cologne. Food was very tasty with large side dishes of salad.

A warm friendly what we in England would call a pub. The food was delicious. We had 2 different flammkuchen. Which were delicious. Washed down with a beer. I'm already planning to come back when I come to the Christmas markets in December. Well worth a visit.

The host was in a bad mood and we tourists got it. That doesn't work at all. He insulted us and didn't serve us because we didn't talk to him, even though I made eye contact to order. Meanwhile, he beat up a young operator. Unfortunately failed.

Quaint Cologne restaurant We had the pleasure of dining at Gertrudenhof in central Cologne recently and it was an all around great experience! The food was simply excellent – ​​tasted to the point and prepared with great attention to detail. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service. Antje looked after us and was extremely attentive, friendly and always there at the right time without seeming intrusive. Overall, a fantastic evening in a great atmosphere. Five stars and a clear recommendation!

I've never experienced a schnitzel like this before & the service is very unprofessional: At first everything was fine. I quickly received a card and ordered a Kölsch and Korn. I ordered the Brauhausschnitzel. The schnitzel meat, which should normally be light, had partially turned red and pink. It looked to me as if the meat was no longer fresh and that's how it tasted. Suddenly there was no waiter in sight, so I ate everything except for the strange-looking parts. When I saw a waitress again and asked for the bill, they asked if everything was okay. Since I assumed that the question wasn't just an empty phrase and that she was genuinely interested in how the guests enjoyed their meal, I then kindly shared my constructive criticism. She then cleared the plate without comment and visibly annoyed and groaned and left. At first I thought that maybe it wasn't the first negative feedback to the kitchen and that their reaction wasn't directed at me but at the kitchen. !!!! However, this turned out to be wrong!!! She brought me the bill directly and without comment and didn't even say goodbye to me. I really hope that she didn't seriously expect to receive a tip if she treated guests like that. In any case, the fried potatoes and the beer were good, hence 1 star.

I had Bavarian dumplings with salad from the Oktoberfest menu. Some of the dumplings were burnt black and so hard that you couldn't cut them with a knife. I don't understand how a chef can let something like that go out of the kitchen. The balsamic dressing tastes like the cheapest ready-made dressing. It was also very cold in the dining room because the waitresses had the door constantly open in the cold autumn weather with rain. I won't go here anymore.

My buddy and I came here while exploring the city to have a bite to eat and a few drinks. John was very helpful and made sure we had a great experience here. Worth the visit for sure.

Today the four of us had dinner at the Getrudenhof. The food was very good and our service person, Jonny, was super nice and quick. The staff overall was very friendly. This brewery can be highly recommended

The food was a disaster. The schnitzels could hardly be cut. Fried potatoes were hard. Then there's the price of almost 24 euros for a schnitzel. That was the last time. We complained about it at the table. There was an espresso on the house. You could have done without charging for my son's schnitzel. Almost everything was left there.

Centrally located and still rustic! Beautifully designed outdoor dining and a typical Cologne ambience in the interior invite you to enjoy an ice-cold beer. Kölsch, Helles, Weizen and currently the Allgäuer Büble Festbier are on the menu alongside various other drinks such as long drinks or Aperol. The food is fresh and well prepared, comes quickly and tastes great. There is a changing menu as well as a diverse regular menu with classics and house specialties. My favorites are the Schnitzel Royal and the Brauhausschnitzel, but the Flammkuchen, for example, are also delicious. Special requests are gladly taken into account by the incredibly friendly and attentive service. You should always make a reservation for FC games, the hut is packed and the atmosphere is right... the Bayern games are also celebrated by the mega fan and host Uwe. Prices are reasonable for the location, but above all you get great quality and perfect service - not a typical tourist brewery, but really Cologne. We always enjoy coming back, even with a larger group, for example for birthdays.

Unfortunately, that was the most disappointing restaurant visit of my life. Ordered vegetable noodle pan, but a plate came with lukewarm noodles mixed with still cold frozen vegetables. No sauce, no spices, not even salt... I have no idea how you can serve something like that with food. The only thing that speaks for the shop is the nice waitress, who apologized and offered to remake the food on behalf of the kitchen. But I declined because I don't think there was anyone in the kitchen that day who had learned anything about cooking.

For the ultimate German local dining experience, this is a great choice! All the local famous German dishes are served here. We took the menu of the day with soup and main dish for just 14€. It was really delicious. I want to give a shout out the young lady who served us in perfect English and was very attentive. This was amazing!

Here you can eat very well and in a traditional way. Centrally located near Neumarkt, Schildergasse and Apostle Church... Staff mostly friendly and attentive with something! Room for improvement... Recommendation!

Food was very tasty, I can really recommend “Duke of Berkshire” and a “big scoop of Mett”. The service was good, friendly. What annoys me personally is the option of getting a free schnapps for a positive 5 star rating on Google (this is also checked by the service staff or looked at on the smartphone). The Gertrudenhof doesn’t need that at all! Hence deduction.

Very nice shop in the middle of Cologne. Didn't eat leather there, but looked delicious on the neighboring tables. Great staff, who are all very nice and Kölsch. So a real experience.

The terrace is quite nice. When we were there and sat down, it took over 10 minutes for the table to be cleared. Wiping the table was completely eliminated. The service was only polite and very annoyed. The drinks again took 10 minutes to arrive. Then we saved the food.

IF YOY ARE A TOURIST BE CAREFULL WHEN PAYING. They charge you a blatantly excessive amount taking advantage of the fact that you are a tourist (more than 15%). Then they justify it by saying that it is their tip (I have never seen a waiter add his own tip). It's a shame, since the food was good and I was going to tip anyway without any forced additions.

Hardly any vegetarian options on the menu. I can also understand that a brewery serves a lot of meat, but at least the cream sauce could be vegetarian. The food is ok, but there is much better food out there. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right. Especially since a service fee was charged, which is not common in Germany. I also find it questionable that people try to buy good reviews by offering guests free schnapps if they leave a good review. But apparently you have to rely on it.

So I was very stuck on the vegetarian side, felt like there was no choice, the staff was very nice, the ambience was a good location, it was okay to drink What's really unpleasant is that instead of working on yourself and earning more stars, they end up offering you a schnapps or espresso for free if you give 5 stars. This is just cheap 😅

We ordered the mushroom cream schnitzel, the onion schnitzel, the Duke of Berkshire and the Gertrude pan. Rating: 9/10 Food: 8/10 I ordered the Getruden pan and was very satisfied. The portion was large and the pan was nice and warm. The meat was fresh and tasty, and the cooking point was very good. The broccoli only came when asked and was a bit tasteless, but still delicious. Personally, I prefer the mushrooms in the sauce cut smaller. The side salad with the schnitzels was particularly great, even with sprouts. Products: 9/10 All products were fresh and deliciously prepared. The salads in particular looked super fresh and good. Service: 10/10 The service was great. Melanie always served us quickly and friendly. The service was always courteous and polite. “Dozens” of typical Kölsch and we were also able to pay by card. Location: 8/10 The location was fine, typical Cologne beer garden / inn. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable after a long time, thicker cushions would alleviate this.

So if you're in the mood for a well-kept Kölsch and want to eat a bit of something super delicious at the same time, you MUST visit the Gertrudenhof on Neumarkt! We even come from the Lower Rhine specifically to enjoy the Cologne hospitality with a great tap Kölsch and very good food! 5 stars
