We stopped here because we were hungry and thirsty and I have to say it was great! The food was a dream, the drinks were delicious and the staff was very attentive! You should consider a visit if you are in Bamberg! Reservations are recommended as the beer garden is very busy when the weather is good!

Very nice cellar. It is advisable to look for a table first and then order the food then you don't have to complain about having to look for a table with food in your hand because there is no service 🫣 Very nice cellar, good food...keep it up 👍🏽

The Schäufele with savoy cabbage and the pulled pork were excellent. The apple fritters at the neighboring table also looked great and were highly praised. The young service lady was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself appears traditionally rustic and therefore very authentic. The old corner bench can also wobble a bit😊 The restaurant is located just outside the center of Bamberg and is an excellent place to stop after you have completed the hike to Altenburg. An absolute recommendation.
