Fast, friendly service. Good food, top beer.

Worth a trip in summer and winter. Sitting under the trees in the cool of summer. Enjoy beer, snacks and warm dishes (also from the grill). In the winter "village" curling with a mulled wine (don't worry, there's always beer 🤣). Large playground for smaller children, so they are tidy. There are often music events with squeezes, but also modern music. All in all, my favorite cellar “in” Bamberg. By the way, the bosses and staff are also great.

The Schäufele with savoy cabbage and the pulled pork were excellent. The apple fritters at the neighboring table also looked great and were highly praised. The young service lady was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself appears traditionally rustic and therefore very authentic. The old corner bench can also wobble a bit😊 The restaurant is located just outside the center of Bamberg and is an excellent place to stop after you have completed the hike to Altenburg. An absolute recommendation.
