Well, the store doesn't need to make money from guests who own a dog. Otherwise I don't understand the other reviews. Do you eat everything fresh (no convenience - they also advertise Thuringian cuisine on the homepage) and you see ready-made croquettes and fries in the photos? And since when have schnitzels and co. Thuringian cuisine? Of the almost 60 dishes on the menu, only 1 is “Thuringian cuisine”. It is very questionable whether I can then advertise with “Thuringian cuisine”? What is also very nice is the mold on the walls in the guest room (next room towards the mountain). It was very nice to look at. Also the cobwebs in the children's play area and at the bowling alley. But what is not possible is a wood stove as heating in the middle of the entrance area. This is not secured! Small children could touch the window, which could result in serious burns. I see an urgent need to catch up here. Conclusion: If you would like to go there without a dog but with a child, you are welcome. Before doing so, you should check whether there is enough immunization and how quickly the emergency doctor will be there in the event of a burn. As for the food. It is questionable whether fried spaghetti as decoration is already a cultural asset. And if the dining room looks so run down, I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. My tip to the operator: ask yourself the question “What do I want to be and what do I want to represent?” and then perhaps change the concept again, but in a well-thought-out and coherent way.

Unfortunately, after 1 hour of hiking, we found ourselves in front of closed doors (vacation) even though regular opening times were stated on the internet. I've been there twice and am satisfied. The current opening times need to be made more clearly visible.

We were invited to a family celebration that had been registered for the long term. With an outside temperature of 5 degrees Celsius, the guest room was not heated. We haven't been this cold in a long time! After an hour everyone finally had a drink, we waited 2 hours for dinner. The first ones were finished eating when the last ones got their orders. Not all the seats in the restaurant were occupied. We were served by an assistant who was obviously unfamiliar with the industry and completely overwhelmed. The boss cooks alone in the kitchen, which explains the long waiting times. The dumplings were average and the venison goulash was nothing special. Others, for example, had schnitzel with beans, which was totally over-seasoned with garlic. At prices around 20 euros per portion, that was unacceptable. Recommendation: Reduce the number of dishes on the menu so that the waiting time and quality are significantly better for the guest. Too bad! The restaurant is located in the heart of the city and could really be a great deal for locals and tourists. But it's a long way from that at the moment!
