Unfortunately not recommended, the taste and price as well as the ambience (toilets) leave a lot to be desired.

First of all: The food was excellent, delicious and freshly prepared. Then comes the big BUT: if you're hungry and don't want to wait 1.5 hours for your food and if you value good service, you're unfortunately in the wrong place here. There were twelve of us there with two small children. Even the two minis had to wait 1.5 hours for their food. We ordered a small portion of pasta with tomato sauce for our little one. We got pasta with quartered tomatoes and rosemary garlic. As a normal portion, which we had to pay in full in the end. We ordered some drinks at the counter because no one came to our table for a long time. All in all, unfortunately not a satisfactory experience for all of us - despite very good food.

Very nice restaurant. Very nice staff who were super accommodating when we wanted to move inside. The atmosphere is small but very nicely done with a terrace and everything inside is bright and modern. Food was delicious and came very quickly. Nice menu with a variety of dishes, also for vegetarians, and also a larger drinks menu. All in all, a great evening and a highly recommended restaurant. Thank you!

Very tasty food with great ingredients, where regionality and quality are more important than profit! And the staff, especially the cook, is also super friendly and you can feel their passion for good food!

After walking through the town for an hour looking for a restaurant, we finally came across Zellreder. We were there half an hour before opening, but we were still welcomed very warmly. We had a really good time sitting on the terrace. The service was very nice. Our dogs got water immediately. We both had schnitzel, which was very good. However, I ordered fries with it, but was given potatoes because they supposedly go better with the schnitzel. I would have preferred the fries, but the boss was nice enough so I left it at that. If we come to Zeulenroda again, we would be happy to be guests again!

A wonderful chance find for us. Lovingly furnished down to the smallest detail, this creates an atmosphere in which you can feel absolutely comfortable and relax. The menu is varied, the food is super fresh, the service is on point. We were really full and satisfied. Highly, highly recommended! Big compliments to the owners :-)

We spontaneously called on Saturday evening for 4 people and a child, our first time eating there. The boss was very nice and brought toys to our little son so he had fun 😁. Now about the food we have to say I don't know when was the last time I ate so well, the food was perfect and everything was very fresh, there's nothing more to say about it. Can just be recommended. We will definitely come by more often. Big praise to the boss 👍

We went there for dinner with friends. Great advice, good service, very tasty and rich food. My little 3 year old daughter was also spoiled from beginning to end. Child-loving, funny and open-minded team. I can recommend everyone to visit the restaurant and enjoy the delicious, affordable cuisine.

I was eating there today, I ordered mushroom schnitzel with a side dish (fried potatoes) instead of fried potatoes I got a cucumber, the mushrooms were cold, the sauce was just water with food coloring and the schnitzel consisted of old dumplings, the three of us ate the 97th with my mother years old, my mother ate a bread with fried potatoes, but the fried potatoes were pitch black and the bread was moldy, each of us ate a portion including a drink, we paid €547, when I heard that I thought I was crazy, but it was the bill is correct and the waitress demands a 10% tip, cheeky! When we went out my glasses were stolen and my husband had to argue with a homeless person in front of the door who owned the beer he was holding, this store is a disaster.

Pleasant atmosphere, run by the owner, who takes personal care of the guests. Food is very delicious, good ingredients and beautifully presented. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm not a bad or spiteful person, but I think you have to be able and allowed to point out grievances in your restaurant! I expect a good home-style restaurant like yours is advertised on the internet to offer you a classic, like beef roulade, red cabbage and dumplings, and that it tastes and looks great! Unfortunately this didn't happen that way......! The food was consistently cold to lukewarm, even after the second attempt to get the food hot, the dumplings were only warmed up and not freshly prepared. The roulade was pre-made from a wholesaler because they only had 120g of filling and it all looked even. The filling was a little minced, but not like a beef roulade. The red cabbage from the jar, seasoned with lots of cloves! I've been in this job for 30 years, but what was offered was subterranean! I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't shy away and put on a good face for evil! Everything was served on an oversized plate that was hot, but what was on it wasn't and everything was drowned in sauce, the dumpling was firm and not fluffy. An indication that it had already been cooked and then mentioned again. I also didn't ask for a lukewarm, warmed dumpling and a sliced ​​roulade "on top"! I just wanted hot food! Since I didn't eat it, but only tried it, it was clear to me that I wouldn't pay anything for trying it and being hungry. Nevertheless, we paid almost €70 for the inconvenience. We didn't want to tip either, but the boss had an advantage because she didn't know her own prices and we didn't notice it right away, so she gave her restaurant €2. I stick with the fact that I can't recommend this restaurant because I went there twice and didn't succeed twice!

Since we have only heard positive things about the restaurant, we made a reservation online for 5 people on April 30, 2024 and also received a confirmation. On April 29th we were reminded of the reservation again. We were at the restaurant at 5:55 p.m. sharp. However, this was closed. Since we had a journey of around 45 minutes, this was not only annoying but unbelievable. We have never experienced anything like this!!!

While visiting relatives, we were able to spend some culinary time in this restaurant with Annett and Michael today. The lamb was cooked to perfection, the venison goulash was fantastic. We can only report positive things about our visit to Zellreder, the boss always tried to look after us. Keep it up. Kind regards and stay healthy.

The boss should definitely avoid contact with the guests. According to her, Diet Coke is not offered because it contains rat poison, but speci is possible! The food is supposedly freshly prepared. The puree was cold and lumpy. The fish was full of bones and served with the wrong side dish. There was also no offer to exchange the inserts. A small child knocked over a candlestick at the table next door. The boss stormed out of the kitchen in a rage. Without asking about the child, she immediately made an outrageous demand for money at the top of her voice. Not recommended. Never again.

Our son (1.5 years old) pulled on the tablecloth while getting dressed and broke the candle jar. The boss then came and asked us to replace the value of €280. If we didn't pay immediately, she asked for a photo of our ID (in front of all the guests). “Then you just have to look after your child and not wantonly destroy it.” Staff seemed very intimidated and were also exposed in front of the guests. Not very family friendly, unfortunately not recommended

Very nice service, accommodating. I had a 🍔 that was really good. The price was ok. It smelled nice of fresh flowers. The only thing, I couldn't pay with a bank card.

Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Eine absolute Empfehlung sind die Kalbsbäckchen. Egal ob der selbstgemachte Glühwein oder das Essen, wir konnten schmecken, mit wie viel Leidenschaft für sehr gute Nahrungsmittel hier gearbeitet wird. … macht weiter so!

Ein kleines, aber sehr feines Restaurant. Es empfiehlt, sich, vorher anzurufen und gegebenenfalls zu reservieren. Wichtig: derzeit nur Barzahlung möglich, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nach einem Jahr haben ich das Restaurant nochmal besucht. 105 Minuten haben wir auf das Essen gewartet und dann wurde festgestellt, dass mein Essen vergessen wurde. Ich habe Lachs gegessen, leider wurde dieser nicht auf der Haut gebraten, dann lieber ohne Haut.

Wir sind spontan zum Abendessen hier gelandet. Meinem Frau und ich haben uns beide für die Rindsrouladen mit Klößen und Rotkraut entschieden. Einfach nur lecker. Hier schmeckt man, dass alles hausgemacht ist. TOP. Dazu gab es noch 2 große Radler und das alles für super angemessene 42,-€. Unser Fazit…. Essen lecker, Bedienung nett, und wie kommen definitiv wieder!

Tolles Ambiente, sehr gute Speisen Auswahl (auch saison Gerichte) und eine nette Bedienung. Für jeden ist etwas dabei, ob Fleisch, Fisch oder etwas anderes. Gerne wieder und wird empfohlen! :)

Leckeres Essen in tollen Ambiente

Sehr lange Wartezeiten. Service war überfordert, sehr langsam, gelangweilt und keineswegs aufmerksam. Die chefin kam nach dem Essen persönlich, das war dann ein service, perfekt! So hätte der Abend laufen müssen!

Waren heute spontan dort essen. Nach kurzer Wartezeit haben wir den letzten freien Platz bekommen. Karte haben wir auch schnell bekommen. Allerdings wirkte die Bedienung sehr eingeschüchtert und ich konnte kaum verstehen was sie uns als Tagesempfehlung angeboten hat.(sie war so leise und schüchtern, dass nur Bruchstücke ankamen) Haben uns dann schnell entschieden und nach 30 Minuten hatten wir unser Essen. Super angerichtet und lecker und warm. Leider war die Bedienung komplett überfordert und es hat ewig gedauert bis nachbestellte Getränke oder jemand zum Abkassieren kam.(auch an Nachbartischen) Macht viel kaputt. Der Geschmack und die Qualität vom Essen ist aber definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Der Anlass war traurig, aber die Bewirtung hervorragend. Das es so ein Restaurant in Zeulenroda gibt, ist eine echte Bereicherung. Alle Speisen sehen sehr gut aus und sind im Geschmack ein Genuss. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und Kundenorientiert. Es ist alles sehr sauber, ordentlich und sehr schön eingerichtet. Tipp, die Nachspeisen sind lecker.

Lange Wartezeiten... Essen kam unterschiedlich es hat immer einer alleine gegessen... Service war nett nur die Schnelligkeit und der zack hat gefehlt... Essen an sich war sehr lecker und hatte gute Qualität.

Das Zellreder ist die beste Adresse für feines Essen und Hochgenuss in Zeulenroda und Umgebung. Die Speisenangebot deckt ein breites Spektrum an Wünschen ab. Alles ist frisch zubereitet und sehr wohlschmeckend. Passende leckere Getränke sind in der Karte vorhanden. Hinzu kommt ein sehr guter Service mit einer exzellenten kulinarischen Beratung für alle von 0-99. Wenn wir wieder einmal im Ort sind, kommen wir sehr gern wieder vorbei.

Waren gestern das erste Mal hier. Anstatt eines Rumpsteak wie in der Karte stand gab es dann Ripeye, welche aber sehr gut gebraten war. Ist aber vom Fettanteil eine ganz andere Sache. Entgegen der Absprache haben wir leider keine Kinderteller bekommen und meine Kinder haben dan die Hälfte nicht gegessen. Dies spiegelte sich am Ende auch in einer hohen Rechnung wieder da es ja keine Kinderportionen gab. Alles in allem ziemlich gut.

Wir waren am Donnerstag zum ersten Mal im Zellreder zum Abendessen. Im Vorfeld hatten wir den Tisch reserviert. Es ist ein sehr schönes Ambiente im Zentrum von Zeulenroda. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und den gesamten Abend zuvorkommend bewirtet. Als Vorspeise gab es die Tagessuppe (Pfifferlingcremesuppe) - wirklich ein Traum. Bei meiner Frau gab es als Hauptgericht Lammfilet und sie war sehr sehr zufrieden. Ich aß zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben Bigos und es war hervorragend. Die Teller waren sehr nett angerichtet, das Essen war warm und geschmacklich einwandfrei. Als Dessert gönnten wir uns dann noch einen Schokoküchle mit warmen Kern und Vanilleeis. Sehr lecker! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war in Ordnung. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Restaurant in Zeulenroda nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren erst etwas skeptisch, da die Karte sehr umfangreich und das Restaurant eher klein ist, wurden aber sehr positiv überrascht. Das Essen ist sehr gut und alles hausgemacht, der Preis im Verhältnis zur Portionsgröße und der gebotenen Qualität wirklich sehr angemessen! Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend mit Frauenschnaps 😃

Hallo zusammen, heute war kein besonders schöner Tag, das Wetter war schlecht, der Weihnachtsmarkt in ZR gewöhnungsbedürftig und / oder gewöhnlich, also wollten wir uns etwas Gutes tun. Wir haben viel Gutes von Euch gehört und dachten: Gelegenheit, wir probieren das "Zellreder". Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und auch gleich bedient. Sonderwünsche wurden gern entgegengenommen, dafür ein dickes DANKE, aber nicht umgesetzt! Und leider leider hat es an Gewürzen gefehlt. Und das ist sooo schade, ganz ehrlich. Trotzdem danke, für eine Weiterempfehlung reicht es unserer Meinung nach nicht und auch nicht für mehr als 3 Sterne, ABER schön geschmückt hattet Ihr das Lokal.

Familienessen war entspannt möglich. In einem verschlafenen Ort wie Zeulenroda, muss man auch keine Angst haben, nicht so schnell ein Tisch zu kriegen. Zum essen: Die Küche beherrscht viele Gerichte in hoher Qualität. Anfangs dachte ich, bei den ganzen Gerichten, dass nicht jedes gut wird. Wir hatten aber 4 unterschiedliche Hauptgerichte, wo jedes wirklich gut war. Die Bedienung war auch stets freundlich und wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt

Das Ambiebte war recht hübsch. Allerdings im Detail doch ein wenig verstaubt und spinnwebig in den Ecken und an den Decken. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und bemüht. Scheint aber wenig erfahren zu sein. Was jedoch erstmal nicht schlimm ist. Das Essen war gut. Jedoch die Wartezeiten waren heftig. Pro Gang im Schnitt 40 min trotz Voranmeldung. 18.30 Uhr waren wir da. 19 Uhr kamen die Getränke. 20.30 Uhr etwa die Suppe. 30min später die Vorspeise und 21.30 Uhr der Hauptgang. Das war mir zu doll. Leider. Das hat uns den Abend verdorben. :( Auch der Zahlvorgang gestaltete sich schwierig. Auch hier lange Wartezeit. Es war etwas chaotisch in allem. Da könnte man noch etwas ändern. Viell hatten wir einfach auch etwas Pech gehabt bei unserem Besuch ? Trotzdem Danke für die Bemühungen und die fairen Preise. Alles Gute dem Team. :)
