The food was excellent – ​​fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared and a real highlight in terms of taste. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and yet unobtrusive. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. I will definitely come back and can recommend the restaurant without reservation.

From the welcome, to the service, to the authentic, friendly farewell by the boss, it was an absolutely successful evening, great ambience, very tasty food and even the dog got treats.

We are currently on holiday in Prüm and had dinner in the restaurant “zur alten Abtei” for the second time today. It certainly won't be the last time either. So far we have had the salad with turkey breast strips, the cordon bleu (daily menu) and the beef ragout with pasta (daily menu) and all of the dishes were absolutely fantastic. The prices are more than fair, especially for the changing dishes from the daily menu. But there are two things that need to be highlighted here: - The ambience is simply great and you can tell how much attention is paid to details. Based on an old brewery, the concept is carried out consistently, including: There is a seating area inside a large beer barrel. - The service is really very friendly and attentive. What was particularly noticeable here was the child and family friendliness. There is a separate menu for children, but any other dish on the menu can also be ordered as a children's portion. As a farewell there is a pack of gummy bears. Here you feel comfortable as a family, but unfortunately that is not something that can be taken for granted these days. Without any ifs and buts, 5 stars and definitely a recommendation for anyone looking for a restaurant with good home-style cuisine!

We have eaten here several times or taken food home with us. But unfortunately the food didn't taste good today and we are very, very disappointed. Firstly, no seasoning and even the schnitzel looked more like egg pancakes. I was particularly disappointed with your Cordon Bleu (also called hamster). The Béarnaise sauce was like mixed mayonnaise with a few herbs in it. We have eaten with the Pauls family repeatedly for over 50 years.

We came there spontaneously with seven people and the waitress assigned us a great table. The lady was just super nice and the food was really excellent. Thank you for everything

Alhoewel het schijnbaar de gewoonte is in Duitsland om op tweede kerstdag ‘s middags uitgebreid te lunchen met verschillende gangen, hebben de zeer vriendelijke eigenaars ons toch toegestaan iets kleins a la carte te eten. De mensen zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en het eten is zeer erg lekker. Dit wordt voor ons het adres om ‘s middags even te stoppen als we op doorreis zijn via Prum.

Ate kebab there with 4 people on New Year's Eve around 6 p.m. At first the air in the rooms was acceptable, but for another 30 minutes we thought why the exhaust was turned off. The table we sat at was still full of salad and leftover meat, which we ultimately removed ourselves with napkins. We noticed the already intense black dirty residue. In the end, the dishes were not worth being declared as kebab and last but not least, we were not granted the stated sales price for the kebab because it does not count on public holidays. Hello, since when has New Year's Eve been a public holiday in Germany? In the end we felt totally cheated (I don't even want to know how many times the operator did that on New Year's Eve), but the unpleasant thing was the fake smile from the employee. In retrospect, you might think he enjoyed ripping off customers. I go there? Never again!!!

NOT RECOMMENDED disappointing treatment of guests I originally planned to visit the PAOLOS Burger restaurant in Prüm again because I had heard good things about it. Unfortunately, this time my impression was completely destroyed. When I tried to take a look at the place, I was extremely rudely and loudly turned away from the premises by the owner - completely for no apparent reason and in a manner that lacked any hospitality. Such behavior is unacceptable and not at all what you would want from a restaurant. I definitely won't be coming back and can't recommend it.

Forgot half of the delivery and were unable to deliver the rest and kept telling you that they would be there in 15 minutes. After repeated inquiries, the delivery person came by after 1.5 hours. But instead of bringing the rest of the delivery, he just brought the money.
