Elia Olive in Prüm

A lovely restaurant with delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and fair prices! We both ordered dishes that weren't on the menu, which offers some very exciting creations! My husband had the leg of lamb and I had the moussaka. The lamb was incredibly tender, and the moussaka was wonderfully rustic, just like in a taverna in a Greek village! The food here is exceptional and highly recommended.

For us, the grilled platter for two people, consisting of two meatballs, a little more than a handful of gyros, two poorly filled skewers, a portion of rice, a portion of fries, and two salads, was way overpriced. The taste was OK, but there are many other restaurants in the area where grilled platters are much better and more generously filled. And the taste was better, too, at least in our opinion.

Very good food at reasonable prices.

A very nice restaurant, cozy atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service. The owner herself has a complete overview. The food was plentiful, of very high quality, and the red wine was at just the right temperature and of very good quality. The highlight for me was the Kaimaki ice cream for dessert, made with buffalo milk!

The food was great. Unfortunately, the reception wasn't so good. They said it was only available by reservation. How are you supposed to know that as a vacationer? After much arguing, we finally got a table, even though the restaurant was completely empty!

I had made an online reservation. It hadn't arrived. There was plenty of room. Flexible. The hostess was friendly. The food was delicious. Clearly understaffed. But still recommended. Enjoy your meal.

My review doesn't refer to the food, as it never arrived. Initial situation: A table was reserved for 1:00 PM, but it's open from 12:00 PM. Since we were there earlier, we wanted to ask if a table was available. We opened the door, and an employee jumped forward, banged on the door, and said, "Closed, reserved tables only." The door was closed, and we didn't even get a chance to ask. That's unacceptable. I have no idea why; maybe it was arrogance or my T-shirt didn't fit her. I fully understand that everything is booked, but friendliness costs nothing. I didn't want to spend any more money there; there are enough restaurants in Prüm for that.

The food is very good, and the staff is very polite, accommodating, and friendly. I can highly recommend it. It's a good idea to make a reservation in advance.

We went here today because of the good reviews! We had fried zucchini with a delicious dip for our starter. We were thrilled with the starter alone. For the main course, my husband had a grilled dish, and I had cuttlefish with grilled vegetables and small grilled potatoes. The dishes also included a small 🥗 salad plate. We haven't had such a good meal in a long time! The owner was also very nice and accommodating. We made a spontaneous reservation for lunch today, which was a good thing. All the tables were reserved. We highly recommend this restaurant!

We ate at this Greek restaurant both on our way there and back from our vacation. It was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the ingredients were fresh. At a price you won't find everywhere anymore. Friendly service; the ladies are incredibly enthusiastic. Reservations are recommended, as it can get quite busy.

A pleasant surprise in a small village in Germany that we found by chance. Antonis and Christina very grateful and helpful! The food is authentic Greek with excellent flavors and portions... Greek! Bravo to the guys for their love for what they do! If you ever find yourself near Brum, stop by to get a taste of Greece and meet Antonis and Christina!

We wanted to eat at 12 o'clock today, but when the door was still locked at 12 past 12 and there was no one to be seen in the restaurant, we unfortunately had to go to another restaurant before the next rain shower.

Great food. Service is friendly and fast. Sat outside on the terrace, which was fine, only the through road is a star in deduction of the atmosphere.

The food was very tasty, and the staff and owner were very friendly. The meat in the grilled lamb shop sticks dish was quite good, just the right balance between fat, crunchiness and tenderness. But the mixed grilled dish meat was a bit dry for our taste. And the salads had too much dressing, swimming in it in fact.making it a bit nauseating for our palate. But these are just details. It was a good meal overall.

I recently discovered the Greek restaurant Elia Olive in Prüm. Even the "usual" or expected dishes like gyros, bifteki, souvlaki, etc. are of particularly good quality and always recommended. Particularly outstanding, however, are the dishes that, according to the chef, are more strongly rooted in authentic Greek cuisine and therefore don't appear on every run-of-the-mill Greek menu. The fish dishes, in particular, are a poem. Highly recommended at any time! Elia Olive is always worth a visit if you're passing through Prüm.

Here you can find not only the usual grill dishes but really tasteful Greek authentic dishes, cooked to the point, with meat melting in your mouth and a variety of vegetarian dishes ! Today, six of us and a dog went to Elia Olive. We received a very warm welcome. The ambiance is lovely. The service was very friendly, and everything went very quickly. The food was incredibly delicious and the portions generous. It was absolutely excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend it.

Restaurant Olive is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is truly excellent, and the owner is incredibly friendly. It's rare to find such outstanding and authentic food. I highly recommend it!

Disappointing experience – unfriendly reception We wanted to visit the restaurant and were there about ten minutes before the official opening time (5 p.m.). The door remained closed until 5:05 p.m. so we decided to leave. At that moment a waitress came, saw us and opened the door. When we politely tried to return, she said rudely that we had better leave because she saw that we were about to leave. Instead of a friendly “I’m sorry for the delay” we were sent away – absolutely inappropriate and customer-unfriendly. We can't rate the food because we weren't even allowed in. Instead we went around the corner for kebab. For us this was the first and last attempt - that's not how you treat guests.

From the outside it looks quite small, but inside there is a lot of seating. In summer you can also sit outside very well. Our food was very tasty and hot from the oven for a long time. The owner and the service staff are very friendly. You will be informed directly about longer waiting times for food and can decide for yourself whether you want to wait or not.

We wanted to have lunch there with nine people, but even though the tables outside were all free, we were turned away. Apparently there is no need for such turnover here, which is a shame!

This evening was our first time eating here, but it won't be the last time. The food was very tasty and it was wonderfully prepared. Many other restaurants could learn a lesson here. The side salad was very good, not like in other Greek restaurants with the typical coleslaw or iceberg lettuce. The service was forthcoming and friendly.

Lots of delicious dishes that you wouldn't otherwise find at a Greek restaurant. The staff points out special features. We are spoiled customers here, let's be quiet and recipes are happy to be passed on. We were there 4 times this week and will definitely enjoy the hospitality and delicious food more often. Were on vacation and stopped here. What a Greek restaurant... we've rarely eaten so well, all questions were answered in a friendly manner, we'd be happy to stop here again.

Had a nice meal at a Greek restaurant outside on the terrace in the middle of the city. Fortunately we had made a reservation, because several people did not get a seat.

To be honest with the guests who didn't make a reservation, the meal then takes longer. The kitchen is probably quite small.

The friendliness of the older of the two waitresses - probably the boss - can be improved. Several of the dishes we wanted to order (6 p.) were not there. Otherwise ok so far.

We've been to this Greek restaurant two or three times now and always wanted to give it another chance because we like Greece and like eating Greek food, but we've now decided not to go there anymore. The food itself (except for the side salad, which is uninspired and warm and in no way comparable to a Greek salad or side salad) is quite well prepared, but the chef seems to be the only one who knows his craft. Because the service is simply a disaster. The head server is overall unfriendly, the young servers aren't particularly friendly and also know very little about serving (e.g. drinks are passed straight past you to the guest sitting next to you at the table, regardless of whether you are currently eating or not). You will never be asked whether everything was OK with your meal or whether you were satisfied, and you will never be asked if you would like something more to drink. We observed that guests who were sitting outside had to come in and ask for new drinks. And we also experienced that both servers, both the boss and the young server, didn't show up for almost 15 minutes, even though several tables were occupied by guests and new guests could always have come. When serving outside, only the front three tables in the restaurant are available; the entire back area with several, sometimes large, tables is cordoned off. Nothing is offered on-site, as is usually the case in Greek restaurants, be it ouzo or something similar. So you won't find the Greek hospitality and warmth here that you're used to from well-run restaurants in Germany or Greece. And if you look at the stroppy and rude responses of restaurant owners to critical reviews (especially regarding service) here on Google, then you feel confirmed in your assessment of a poorly managed, non-service-oriented restaurant. It's actually a shame because the kitchen is good, apart from a few minor things.

Very nice restaurant where the service was very friendly and courteous. I looked at the "hustle and bustle" a little. No matter which guest had a problem, a simple and satisfactory solution was found. The guest is KING here. But in a restaurant and the criticism should be about food 😜: I enjoyed it very much. The souvlaki was very tender and delicious. The potato slices were good and something different. The plate was very nice to look at. What I personally didn't like was the mustard sauce for the souvlaki. It was tasty, but in MY opinion it didn't necessarily go well with the meat (my wife really liked it together) The ambience is not earth-shattering. It's a small corner restaurant. BUT it would be furnished very lovingly and with a lot of effort. The restaurant is called Olive, and the name says it all. There was a treat for the dog (thanks) So, a visit that will be remembered positively. With so much effort that has been put into this, it should be appreciated. (Otherwise I'm usually more of a complainer Hannes)

The two of us had a delicious meal here. Both the starter and main course were tasty. The employee was friendly and we were also allowed to bring our dog inside. Something that I always find a huge plus here in Germany. Perhaps give the choice of having rice or potatoes with your main course. Now we got quite a lot of potatoes while my wife prefers rice. Price was very fair for what you got.

this place was absolutely terrible, rude, and unprofessional! we went there twice to get a table and were turned away twice! the first time we were turned away we were told that they were closing or closed and they were still open, and still serving people, the lady was very rude, mean and forceful in speaking to my girlfriend very rude, disrespectful, unprofessional to the point i felt like we were being discriminated against. i not only would not recommend this place for anyone but i would have this place closed if it was up to me, 6 bad reviews from me and my family. 👎👎👎👎👎👎

The gyros and the grill plate were very tasty and beautifully presented. When I think about it, my mouth is watering :-). The restaurant is very stylish and cozy.

Unfortunately, I can't say much about it. I tried to call several times, no matter what days they were open, and they always told me on the phone that it was overcrowded and that they didn't have any seats available to reserve I think they're overwhelmed. It's a shame

We went on a short vacation and ate there twice. We enjoyed it both times. There are three vegetarian dishes and various salads and starters for vegetarians. My husband loves eating meat and he was very satisfied both days. Our two dogs were also warmly welcomed and given treats.

Stopped here spontaneously and was more than pleasantly surprised: a whole range of dishes that I had never seen on the menu in Greek restaurants, some vegan, many vegetarian. Very friendly service and correct prices. Absolutely recommended. I had 2 starters, both of excellent quality, creative cuisine, visually great. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Prüm.

The two of us had dinner here. I find the starters a bit heavy on feta cheese and salad. There was a bit of a lack of choice, so we limited ourselves to two main courses. Once classic gyros, once aubergine gratin. Both cooked rock solid, but didn't blow me away either. The gyro should have been crispier; like the eggplant, it lacked a pinch of spice. Service was very friendly, atmosphere of the place was really good. We would come back. Recommended.
