I have known the Vafiadis family from the beginning. With them you almost feel like a member of the family and you are never just another guest! Over the years they have offered excellent quality and very good service. Special requests are always taken into account. In addition to a warm welcome, a nice conversation is possible at any time. Their gyros made from their own recipe, as well as their own currywurst, are worth highlighting. The portions are not only tasty, they are also generous and relatively inexpensive. The town hall grill is definitely worth a visit.

We love going to the beer garden when the weather's nice. It's a great atmosphere with a beautiful view. The service was good as always, and the food was also good as always. We really enjoy going there, as the prices are also really reasonable. We're happy to come back.

We were in this restaurant on Easter Saturday with a group of eleven people to celebrate a big birthday. The ambience was very nice and we had a wonderful seat at the back of the restaurant, which we really enjoyed. Positive impressions I would particularly like to emphasize that we received a greeting from the kitchen at the beginning. A wonderfully fresh and very tasty salad was served in small glasses, along with mini Kölsch glasses. That was a really nice and loving gesture for which we would like to thank the kitchen. Points that could be improved in our opinion 1. Communication when making a reservation When I made the reservation, I mentioned that we were celebrating a big birthday and had made a special reservation for Easter Saturday. Unfortunately, I was not informed that there would only be a very limited Easter menu that day - no regular starters and no desserts, just soup as the only starter. Had I been informed of this, I might have chosen a different restaurant as we didn't come for Easter dinner but for birthday dinner and would have liked more choice. 2. Quality and value for money of the food The schnitzel was disappointing: it didn't seem fresh and homemade, but more like a frozen product. It was also very small - more like the size of a child's portion - and for just under 30 euros. For this price we would have expected much more, both in terms of quality and portion size. 3. Dealing with special requests and service We initially ordered soup for a small child, but he didn't want to eat it. So we asked to order plain pasta with butter. Unfortunately, this dish didn't come for a very long time. When we asked, the service person explained that the restaurant was very full and that the child already had something. I don't want to accuse anyone of anything here, but the tone and type of feedback seemed unempathetic and inappropriate to us. Especially in a family-friendly restaurant, you should show understanding and a friendly, solution-oriented attitude for such situations. 4. Beverage name “Lemon lemonade” was offered on the menu. We assumed it was a homemade lemonade. In fact, normal Sprite was served. Even if this is perhaps formally correct, I would have liked more transparency or at least a note when ordering. In a restaurant of this price range you would expect something other than an industrial fizzy drink under this name. 5. General impression Overall, I got the impression that the restaurant is resting on its good reputation. Unfortunately, the friendliness of the service staff and the quality of the food could not keep up with the beautiful ambience and the high prices. Conclusion We had a nice place, a very pleasant atmosphere and were very happy about the greeting from the kitchen - a really successful start. Unfortunately, the points mentioned could not round off the overall experience in a completely positive way. Especially at a celebration and on a special day like a birthday, you want more attention, flexibility and appreciation. It was my first and probably last visit to this restaurant. Perhaps it would be helpful to reconsider the communication during reservations, the service concept and the price-performance ratio - I am sure that this would only be good for the hotel's good name.

It's really comfortable to sit in the old half-timbered house. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was great. The fries are a dream.

I can't judge the food. But the manners of the employees. The employee didn’t know “good evening”, “please” or “thank you”. Hopefully he's better at making pizza than he is at communicating with people. First and last time called here.

Yes, we were there for the May dance. The food was excellent. The service was also good. Two Italian musicians and singers played lively songs. Unfortunately, we were sitting directly in front of a loudspeaker, so we could hardly understand each other. Nevertheless, it was a great evening. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Good food and always very friendly service.

Wonderful restaurant that impresses with the delicious cuisine and Maria's hospitality. We have been guests there since it opened many years ago and would love to come back. The rooms are sparkling clean and modern. We particularly enjoy eating the delicious pizzas and pasta, salads and garlic bread in advance. 🥰 The tomato soup also seems to be a highlight. In summer you can also dine outside - quite cozy and pleasant despite the street.
