Mein Sohn heiratet im September im Gasthaus. Zum Testessen sind wir dort sehr freundlich begrüßt und begleitet worden. Das Essen war hervorragend. Der Service stets aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und flott unterwegs. Danke ❤️

Wir waren im Gasthaus Bockenbusch essen und sind absolut begeistert! Das Essen war hervorragend – geschmacklich perfekt abgestimmt, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und wunderschön angerichtet. Man hat sofort gemerkt, dass hier mit frischen Zutaten und viel Können gekocht wird. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit der Kellner. Das gesamte Team war unglaublich nett, herzlich und stets bemüht, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Auch das Ambiente im Gasthaus ist sehr gemütlich und einladend – eine perfekte Mischung aus stilvoll und familiär. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Jeder Gang war ein echtes Highlight und alles war geschmacklich hervorragend aufeinander abgestimmt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können das Gasthaus Bockenbusch nur weiterempfehlen!

Der Gruß aus der Küche zu Beginn war sehr nett. Leider war das eigentliche Essen dann nicht so gut. Der Spargel sehr schlecht geschält und holzig. Die Sauce Hollandaise war furchtbar.

Ein ganz tolles Erlebnis das Essen ist mit Liebe zubereitet die Portionen stimmen Personal gut gelaunt wann wird mit einem Lächeln empfangen man fühlt sich richtig wie ein Kunde in Klammern König und wird auch so bedient erfreut einem im Herzen wie toll das Essen gut schmeckend zubereitet wurde eben mit Liebe das ist ein Lokal wo ich immer wieder gerne hingehen möchte und um eigentlich alles durchzuprobieren was auf der Karte angeboten wird es ist zu empfehlen auch mit Freunden Familien kannten dort einzukehren alle werden zufrieden sein Hochachtung für die Leitung mein Respekt

Well, it's good, traditional fare, but overpriced. It lacks finesse and modern flair. If you love old-fashioned, classic meat dishes, this is the place for you. There are no alternatives. The schnitzel was okay, but the salad was a disaster. It's overpriced for what it is. Sorry. But the service is great.

Fantastic atmosphere! Both in the restaurant and as a venue for small and/or large (wedding) celebrations. The food is superb. The wedding buffet was worth every penny, as was the menu. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Everything you could need is provided. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. We are regular customers and always enjoy coming back!

We've been regulars for a long time – and for good reason! The complimentary amuse-bouche is always a highlight and shows how much love goes into the cooking. We went to Bockenbusch for dinner again yesterday. It was excellent!!! The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the pumpkin risotto was perfect. The lemon foam was also simply delicious. The mountaineer's schnitzel was also incredibly tasty. My husband skipped the side dishes because he wouldn't have been able to finish them. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, and we had to wait for the food. But that's easily overlooked. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I was so pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious, and the welcome from the chef was a real highlight! We had a table reservation, so it wasn't a problem. But I think there's plenty of room even if you don't come by! We've made a note of the beer garden at the back for the summer!

We were in this restaurant on Easter Saturday with a group of eleven people to celebrate a big birthday. The ambience was very nice and we had a wonderful seat at the back of the restaurant, which we really enjoyed. Positive impressions I would particularly like to emphasize that we received a greeting from the kitchen at the beginning. A wonderfully fresh and very tasty salad was served in small glasses, along with mini Kölsch glasses. That was a really nice and loving gesture for which we would like to thank the kitchen. Points that could be improved in our opinion 1. Communication when making a reservation When I made the reservation, I mentioned that we were celebrating a big birthday and had made a special reservation for Easter Saturday. Unfortunately, I was not informed that there would only be a very limited Easter menu that day - no regular starters and no desserts, just soup as the only starter. Had I been informed of this, I might have chosen a different restaurant as we didn't come for Easter dinner but for birthday dinner and would have liked more choice. 2. Quality and value for money of the food The schnitzel was disappointing: it didn't seem fresh and homemade, but more like a frozen product. It was also very small - more like the size of a child's portion - and for just under 30 euros. For this price we would have expected much more, both in terms of quality and portion size. 3. Dealing with special requests and service We initially ordered soup for a small child, but he didn't want to eat it. So we asked to order plain pasta with butter. Unfortunately, this dish didn't come for a very long time. When we asked, the service person explained that the restaurant was very full and that the child already had something. I don't want to accuse anyone of anything here, but the tone and type of feedback seemed unempathetic and inappropriate to us. Especially in a family-friendly restaurant, you should show understanding and a friendly, solution-oriented attitude for such situations. 4. Beverage name “Lemon lemonade” was offered on the menu. We assumed it was a homemade lemonade. In fact, normal Sprite was served. Even if this is perhaps formally correct, I would have liked more transparency or at least a note when ordering. In a restaurant of this price range you would expect something other than an industrial fizzy drink under this name. 5. General impression Overall, I got the impression that the restaurant is resting on its good reputation. Unfortunately, the friendliness of the service staff and the quality of the food could not keep up with the beautiful ambience and the high prices. Conclusion We had a nice place, a very pleasant atmosphere and were very happy about the greeting from the kitchen - a really successful start. Unfortunately, the points mentioned could not round off the overall experience in a completely positive way. Especially at a celebration and on a special day like a birthday, you want more attention, flexibility and appreciation. It was my first and probably last visit to this restaurant. Perhaps it would be helpful to reconsider the communication during reservations, the service concept and the price-performance ratio - I am sure that this would only be good for the hotel's good name.

We were there only to take away due to Corona. But the food was amazing, pulled pork, homemade fries, schnitzel with fries all with salad. I'm looking forward to eating there again, especially without Corona. Many thanks go to Bockenbusch.

Die Bedienung ging sehr gut und kreativ auf Sonderwünsche ein, vegane Gerichte fehlen auf der Karte, sind aber durch kleine Änderungen möglich. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich in einem alten Fachwerk -Raum (innen Fachwerk)

We've wanted to eat here for ages, but every time we got around to it, the place was closed. Today it finally worked out, despite the wedding and without a reservation. What can I say: it was FANTASTIC!!! We haven't eaten so well in a long time. We really liked the greeting from the kitchen. Great idea with the small Kölsch glasses. The salad tasted something different too! The food is homemade (röstis, for example, and the sauce) and is well thought out and refined. Who has ever eaten pickled radishes in a restaurant (unless it is a Michelin-starred restaurant)? Or fried capers? My starter (beef tartare and fried egg yolk!!) was INCREDIBLE, and the aioli for my husband's prawns was probably homemade too. Our main course (Cordon Bleu and Kotlett) was REALLY great! We like that a lot. However, it was quite salty for our taste, but that's probably because we add very little salt ourselves. The quantity of meals is really more than sufficient and the prices are reasonable. The service was great, the star deduction is for being on a first name basis. I know it's in, but unfortunately I don't like it at all. We will definitely come back!

The price is absolutely reasonable for everything you get there. A greeting from the kitchen, which is also rare! A night cap at the end. Unsere Tochter hatte uns zum Abendessen in das Gasthaus "BOCKENBUSCH" eingeladen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und zum reservierten Tisch geführt. Die Auswahl der Speisen erfolgt an einer aufgestellten Tafel. Der "spezielle" Gruss aus der Küche wurde alsbald mit 4 kleinen Kölsch und Salat serviert. Nette Idee! Als Hauptspeisen bestellten wir 1x Dry Aged Kotelette, 2x Rumpsteak, 1x Bockenbuscher Schweineschnitzel+Rösti+Salat. Alle Speisen haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Service ist überaus freundlich und der Chef kam auch noch an unseren Tisch. Man kann das etwas gehobene Gasthaus BOCKENBUSH auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Our daughter invited us to dinner at the “BOCKENBUSCH” inn. We were warmly welcomed and shown to the reserved table. The selection of dishes is made at a table set up. The “special” greeting from the kitchen was soon served with 4 small Kölsch and salad. Nice idea! For main courses we ordered 1x dry aged cutlet, 2x rump steak, 1x Bockenbuscher pork schnitzel + rösti + salad. All the dishes tasted very good. The service is extremely friendly and the boss also came to our table. You can definitely recommend the somewhat upscale BOCKENBUSH inn.

The food is really delicious at Bockenbusch. We sat in the beautiful beer garden in the summer - here you don't notice anything of the B56. The service wasn't quite as quick during our visit and was sometimes a bit inattentive, but it was very, very friendly and helpful. Everyone will find something to eat - a pleasant selection, not too much.

Called spontaneously and got 2 spots for 7:30 p.m. the same day...great!. Although we only live about 4 km away, we mostly visited restaurants in the distance, which turned out to be really unnecessary later in the evening. We received a very friendly welcome, although 3 parties (together felt like 150 people) enjoyed their stay that evening. We were very positively surprised by the always smiling, friendly and attentive staff... something you rarely see these days. This was topped off by the food and the Lugana white wine. First an amuse gueule from the kitchen, then prawns in oil and octopus as a starter, followed by cordon bleu and sliced ​​lamb as the main course... everything was great, a poem. A super successful culinary evening and it showed once again why wander into the distance when the good things are so close... A beautiful location that we were able to visit for a wedding. Very nice atmosphere in a former barn and the restaurant was very nice and the food offered to us, chosen by the hosts, was very tasty. We are also happy to stop by as normal guests and spend some time here.

The Bockenbuscher Jägerschnitzel was very tasty. The portions are very large. You can have leftovers packed up. The service was noticeably friendly and attentive. We had a cozy place in a small side room. Rustic style, lovingly furnished. The meal mentioned cost 19 euros and there was also a “little greeting from the kitchen”, also very tasty. Great price/performance ratio! Gladly again and again! The large terrace, which is currently being rebuilt following storm damage caused by a fallen tree, will certainly be finished soon.

Leider bin ich von unserem diesjährigen Weihnachtsessen im Gasthaus Bockenbusch sehr enttäuscht. Als ich meine Bestellung bei der Serviekraft aufgegeben hatte und ich als Antwort bekam, dass wir für diese Bestellung (Hauptspeise und Dessert) den gleichen Preis bezahlen sollen wie für ein 3-Gänge-Menü dachte ich im ersten Moment sie scherzt. Das angebotene Weihnachtsmenü ist leider absolut nicht für Menschen mit einer Laktoseintoleranz oder anderen Nahrungsmittelunverträglichkeiten geeignet und es wurde auch keine Alternative bei der Vorspeise angeboten. Der Preis für das Menü ist meiner Meinung mach nicht gerechtfertigt. Auch mein Hauptgericht war zum Teil sehr stark verbrannt. Das Dessert war in Ordnung und hier gab es auch eine laktosefreie Alternative. Das Ambiente war soweit in Ordnung und der Lillet Wild Berry lecker.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 12 Personen. Zu Weihnachten gab es eine 3-gängige Menüauswahl. Alle Gerichte waren hervorragend und die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und schnell. Es war eine sehr gelungene Weihnachtsfeier.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Allerdings wurde vergessen, Kürbissuppe (Vorspeise) zu und Parfait (Nachspeise) machen. Diese dann anzubieten, fand ich enttäuschend, als ich enttäuscht wurde. Ich hatte die Ente. Die Ente selbst war gut und saftig. Allerdings war die Haut viel zu salzig. Für diesen Preis ebenso enttäuschend. Sonst sehr gemütliches Ambiente.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, es gibt für jeden etwas vom Schnitzel bis Ente, alles sehr lecker. Leider war unser Tisch was ungünstig direkt an der Theke aber sonst war alles gut, Service war nett.

Kein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, Ich habe schon zweimal dort ein Steak gegessen, was nicht gut war, großer Fettrand und minderer Qualität. Das Essen wird auch nicht auf vorgewärmten Tellern serviert und ist leicht zu kalt. Der Besitzer möchte den Anschein eines gehobenen Restaurant erwecken, entspricht dem aber nicht, höchstens beim Preis.
