There's something for everyone on the menu. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Despite the large number of guests, the food arrived promptly and hot. There was also a button on the table to request service... which wasn't necessary for us, as the service was very attentive.

A truly fantastic restaurant with very friendly service, delicious food, and a wonderful, cozy atmosphere. We've been there three times already and will be back for a fourth time in a few days. Absolutely top-notch!!! The food is incredibly tasty. The extra €5.90 for the last salad, however, is a bit excessive. Perhaps they should consider including it with the schnitzel 😉 Definitely recommend it. It's best to reserve online in advance! That way, you're guaranteed a table. If you don't have a reservation, you should expect to be turned away!

We celebrated our wedding at Haus Herchenbach this year. The service was perfect. Plenty of time was taken for the pre-wedding consultation, and on the day itself, everything went exactly as we had hoped. The rooms are cozy, the food is excellent, and the service is very friendly. For us, it was a truly perfect day, and we would highly recommend it.

They have a friendly team and delicious, fresh food. For my taste, the portions could be a bit bigger though ✌️

Apparently, they no longer needed to serve food in the beer garden when the weather was nice. When we asked for a menu, we were told that no food was available without a reservation. Surprisingly, most of the tables were free, and there was no sign or notice indicating that no food was served in the beer garden.

We chose the Landgasthof Herchenbach for our wedding and held our reception on a Friday. We had our first meeting with the owner a few months in advance to discuss the key points of our wedding planning. This coordination was straightforward and pleasant. We quickly realized that the owners were passionate about their work. They contributed many creative ideas and helpful suggestions for improvement that enhanced our celebration. We took care of the decorations ourselves. The country inn made the banquet hall available to us the day before, so we could prepare everything in peace. Tables and chairs were provided by the hotel and expertly set up by the team. The final coordination regarding food, drinks, and the schedule took place a week before the reception. On the wedding day itself, friendly service staff were on hand throughout and available to answer any questions. The reception had to end at 3 a.m. for organizational reasons – however, this point was communicated clearly and transparently from the start. After the celebration, the staff carefully packed our decorations into the boxes we had brought with us and stored them in a separate room, allowing us to easily pick them up the following day. The country inn team took care of all the cleanup. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Landgasthof Herchenbach and would like to thank everyone involved for the excellent organization, the smooth collaboration, and the excellent food.

We stopped in as part of a cycling tour. 6 people. We just happened to stop. Unfortunately, they couldn't offer us seating without a reservation. We were able to enjoy our drinks at the standing tables. Service was very quick and courteous. It looked extremely cozy. Great sofas with apparently very comfortable seats. There were also a few tables, but unfortunately, they were all reserved. Can't comment on the food, as we only had hop spritzer. In any case, it's worth a visit! BUT: it's better to make a reservation!

We celebrated our wedding at the Landgasthaus Herchenbach in July of this year. From the very first contact, we were convinced we had found the perfect venue. The prices are fair, the beer garden (for our outdoor ceremony) was a dream, and the quality of the food and service were top-notch. We can wholeheartedly recommend Andreas and the entire team.

Absolutely fantastic location with magnificent sunsets! The food was excellent, especially the homemade ice cream! I was invited to a wedding there, and all my wishes were fulfilled :) Vegetarians and vegans were catered for too, with fantastic homemade alternatives! We celebrated my birthday party with about 70 people at the Landgasthaus Herchenbach. The food, the ambiance in the hall, and the staff were simply fantastic. The planning and organization beforehand were also perfect. They even cooked a dessert for our guests based on our family recipe. We would love to come back.

We were here today with our two-year-old son and were unfortunately very disappointed. We were told that all the tables were reserved and therefore we couldn't eat anything. I wanted to at least order fries to go for my two-year-old son – even that wasn't possible because I wanted to pay with a voucher. You weren't allowed to eat anything on the beer garden tables anyway, only drinks. So our only option was mini golf, which is completely unsuitable for a child of that age and wasn't fun for him either. Reluctantly, we were at least brought drinks. When we asked if we could convert the last few euros from the voucher into drinks to go, this was also refused – on the grounds that drinks to go were "unusual." Particularly annoying and incomprehensible: While we were denied any opportunity to eat, other guests were allowed to dine at supposedly reserved tables. For me, this was a clear case of unequal treatment. The entire experience struck me as extremely unfriendly to customers—and, especially with regard to my two-year-old son, almost hostile to families. I had the distinct impression that we, as voucher guests, were unwelcome and therefore treated worse. That's not how you treat families—or paying guests in general. For us, it was a very disappointing experience and certainly not a place we'll visit again.

I was there today with my grandparents. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was really great. The service was apparently very unfriendly to parents who might have trouble expressing themselves clearly or understanding something directly. In the future, I would like to see more compassion and understanding in this regard.

Perfect place – especially for us with a child. The food was excellent and phenomenal for the price. Service was friendly and fast. Right next to the beer garden is a lovely little playground. We really enjoyed it and will be back.

On the wedding day itself, everything went incredibly smoothly for us – the team at the Landgasthaus reliably coordinated the delivery of the wedding cake, the photo booth, and the DJ in the background. For us as the bride and groom, it was simply stress-free and pleasant. When it started to rain on the wedding day, they reacted spontaneously and flexibly – everything went like clockwork. The food was absolutely delicious, the service attentive, warm, and professional – we really couldn't have asked for anything better. We were able to have our funeral dinner here after our mother's funeral, which had to be arranged very spontaneously, and it was incredibly uncomplicated. The hosts are flexible, professional, extremely professional, uncomplicated, and also extremely kind and friendly. The beautiful beer garden with its fantastic playground made it a great place for the many children, so we stayed until late in the evening. Thank you again for everything!

We celebrated our wedding there, and it was simply unforgettable! The ambiance was simply magnificent, perfect for children as well as for the "older" ones. The food was a 12/10!! The steak/meat was cooked to perfection, the salads were fresh/crisp, and the side dishes were perfect. And the service was a 12/10!! They were very attentive, very friendly, and always available. Mr. Herchenbach was also simply fantastic and fully responsive to our needs. We highly recommend it and would definitely hold a celebration or special occasion there again!

I haven't been here in a while, and I was looking forward to a nice schnitzel. Unfortunately, I was disappointed because I'm definitely used to something different here. Maybe the chef was just having a bad day... the schnitzel wasn't crispy at all :( My two companions, who also had schnitzel, weren't good either. It's a shame, but since we've experienced something different here, we'll be back anyway.

We had a very successful confirmation celebration at Herchenbach's. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed it and praised the food. We would have preferred to celebrate outside in the beautiful beer garden with a view, but the weather made this impossible. But we also had a wonderful time in the chicken coop with 24 people and were able to offer our guests a variety of activities, including the photo booth, hands-on activities, and mini golf. Wir waren heute mit 9 Personen dort, haben Minigolf gespielt und zwischendurch, als es anfing zu regnen, sind wir zum Essen ins Gasthaus gegangen. Wir wurden rundum freundlich aufgenommen, das Essen war hervorragend, sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch die Hauptgerichte. Es wurden Fleischgerichte genauso wie vegetarische Gerichte gegessen und alle, wirklich alle, waren mit dem Essen super zufrieden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und hatten mit der Familie, einschließlich unserer 87 und 90 jährigen Eltern, alle auch viel Spaß beim Minigolf. Unsere Eltern haben alle 18 Bahnen mitgespielt! Das war eine wunderbarer Samstag Nachmittag und früher Abend!

For our wedding, 27 of us had lunch at Herchenbach. The restaurant was opened especially for us; the advance coordination was excellent and extremely customer-oriented. Every request was accommodated, and on the day itself, all of our guests were blown away. The staff was super friendly, the menu was flexible, and special requests were possible. The food arrived promptly, and to top it all off, everything tasted fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Three of us ate at the Landgasthaus Herchenbach, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit! The restaurant is beautifully located, offers plenty of parking, and even a miniature golf course with an inviting beer garden – ideal for a relaxing outing. We sat inside, where the atmosphere was cozy and the service was quick and friendly. For starters, we had a bread basket with aioli – the bread was freshly baked and very tasty, although the aioli was a bit small and could have used a bit more punch. The main courses were all delicious, and the portions were absolutely fair – top value for money! The fried potatoes could have been a bit crispier for our taste, but that's just nitpicking. One small suggestion for improvement: coarse-grained salt and pepper mills on the tables would further enhance the dining experience and give the restaurant a little upgrade. Overall, it was a very nice evening with delicious food and great service – we would love to come back!

We went out to eat Sunday lunch with five people. It was plentiful, delicious, and the drinks came in a flash. We had the best table ever, a corner table in the pub (now called the Gaststube) right by the bar, as insiders will confirm! The manager had time later, came over, and we chatted and laughed like old times – wonderful!

We love going to the beer garden when the weather's nice. It's a great atmosphere with a beautiful view. The service was good as always, and the food was also good as always. We really enjoy going there, as the prices are also really reasonable. We're happy to come back.

We celebrated our wedding here at the beginning of May with family and friends and had a wonderful day. The location is of course perfectly located in the “green” and is beautifully furnished. The outdoor area in particular is beautifully landscaped. We celebrated in the large hall, which is perfect for a wedding reception. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Difficult without a reservation, but since I was alone my order could be put in between. Food very tasty. A great view of the Bergisches Land from the beer garden Went here again yesterday, this time in the restaurant. Again the food was excellent. Suckling pig pan is really great. Plus delicious fried potatoes and a salad. The way the food is prepared is also excellent. We'll definitely be back.

Drr service was very courteous, attentive and friendly, from the boss to the employees. Afterwards we "worked off" our food with a round of golf and had a lot of fun. Thanks for the great time. Went spontaneously to the Herchenbach restaurant today. It worked without a problem without a reservation and got another spot. Waiting time perfect, service absolutely great and food was absolutely great. The price is totally reasonable. We'll definitely be back. I would also give it 6 stars. Great traditional restaurant.

Trying hard, but sometimes less is more. Garnish isn't everything. For example, I don't understand what melon and raspberries have to do with rump steak with fried potatoes.

Seit mehreren Jahren gehen wir mit unseren Kindern und Jugendlichen aus der Wohngruppe (Jugendhilfe) im Landgasthaus Herchenbach zum Weihnachtsessen. Mit über 18 Leuten ist die Organisation und der Service hervorragend. Das Essen ist super lecker. Es schmeckt den Kindern und den Erwachsenen und auch für die Vegetarier/Veganer ist immer etwas dabei. Die Servicekräfte sind super herzlich und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne jedes Jahr wieder hier hin.

Service works, only if something doesn't fit the condition will you be negatively rated! I got a bottle of water in my back and was excused but that was it😐I had to get a towel myself and there was no small gesture of apology! What a shame!! I don't know that! Food was very good! But you should pay attention to your choice of words!! I won't be coming back! Respect should already be there, and it wasn't!!

Not only did the prices rise, but the dishes also became smaller. The schnitzels are now just thin slices (Tillman's Toasty!); the schnitzel dishes used to come with a side salad, among other things. Today this has to be ordered separately and generally only consists of sheets at a high price. You could also save the 5 pieces of carrot on the salad. The soup/broth, a small cup, with measly ingredients at a high price is simply not acceptable. The quality and location is good, we have been there several times, but this time it was too obvious how prices had gone up and the supply of goods was reduced. Thanks!

Once again an unpleasant experience. We have been eating there for many years and regularly with my company too. The last time I was insulted by the so-called boss after I waited 35 minutes for a wheat, had already paid and asked politely - with the words "there are other people sitting here too - 45 minutes would be completely fine". Yesterday they didn't want to give me an entertainment receipt. The boss's words there - "She would have googled it and I don't need any proof"? Since my parents ran a good middle-class inn for 30 years, I would like to express my opinion here: Nice ambience, delicious food, sometimes a bit dodgy, especially the sauces, poorly trained and constantly changing staff. The so-called boss is cheeky, incompetent & dubious - something like that has no place in the catering industry. We will not be coming back and will no longer recommend the Gasthaus Herchenbach, neither privately nor for corporate events organized by my company and our partners. My recommendation would be: There are very nice and friendly inns in Neunkirchen, so you don't have to go through that.

Es war ein wunderschöner Abend, bei wirklich großartigem Essen. Die beste Lammkeule, die ich jemals gegessen habe. Auch die anderen Gerichte schmeckten ausgesprochen lecker und boten auch etwas für das Auge. Das Personal war überaus zuvorkommend, freundlich und einfach gut geschult. Super Preis-Leistungsverältnis. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Beforehand, Andreas was available to answer any questions we had and gave us good advice and also gave us good tips for planning. On the day itself, the ambience, service and food were really great. We particularly liked the fact that we were able to spend the afternoon in the beer garden and then celebrate in the hall in the evening - a perfect combination for us. Despite the high occupancy due to large celebrations, we received our food very quickly and the service didn't suffer. Because of the good price-performance ratio, you should definitely make a reservation. Little insider tip: The house is old, but the toilets are up to date and very clean!

We were there with a group of five people. The ambience is ok, the food was great! The tapas plate as a starter looked manageable at first glance, but turned out to be a rich delicacy. As a further starter we had the chanterelles, very tasty, lightly fried, no frills, just a little salt and pepper seasoned. The main course was the lamb pan, with two excellent lamb shanks and potatoes with dip, as well as a delicious salad as an additional side dish. Recommended!!

We celebrated there with a large party (with lots of extra wishes 🙃) and were treated very nicely! The agreements in advance were clear and the implementation by the country inn was simply great. Super delicious food, comfortably decorated and flexible and friendly staff. Gladly again!

Delicious vegan dishes! There's more than just fries and salad. As a vegan in the country, it's a great choice for eating out with the whole family. Celebrate family celebrations here regularly. The prices aren't exactly low, but you can taste the quality. The service has always been very nice and courteous. In summer it's great to sit outside and the children are kept busy in the playground.

Ambience quaint and beautiful, as always. The service is very nice and accommodating. The food is so-so, the rating only refers to the Viennese style schnitzel. Even if the waiter says that these are fresh and homemade, the assumption is that they are frozen or ready-made. The breading was very soggy and tasteless. The schnitzel probably only saw the deep fryer briefly. Unfortunately there was no buttery taste from frying with clarified butter in the pan. Therefore, I can unfortunately only advise against the schnitzel. These were definitely better.

Wonderful restaurant with a really nice beer garden and plenty of play space for the little ones. Sand toys, vehicles, seesaws, slides, bobby cars, it's all there. I can only recommend. We would love to come back. I would even say the location is unique in the area. Thumbs up!

Beautifully located, great beer garden and friendly service. So far so good, but the food was disappointing. The chanterelles in a tasteless roux with lumps. The 3-4mm schnitzel like the Rösti from the deep fryer. That wasn't worth 22 euros.

We ate at the inn today with a total of 4 children and were totally thrilled. Such nice and friendly staff and extremely child-friendly 😊 Simply great!!!
