The prices for a main course are now around €20. There seem to be a lot of regulars. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the food only deserves two stars, as I consider the preparation to be outdated. The meat side dish unfortunately had almost more breading than meat, and I suspect the hollandaise sauce was bought at a supermarket. The fries served with it were extremely greasy and lukewarm. It's OK for a beer in a small beer garden, but you'd be better off eating somewhere else.

We stopped in the beer garden after a hike on the Bergisches Streifzug No. 19, which passes by the restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The Päffgen Kölsch, which is rarely served in restaurants, tasted excellent, as did the Päffgen beer brandy. We ate an excellent church schnitzel and a very good gypsy schnitzel. The fries were perhaps a little too long in the fryer, but still okay. The fair prices are noticeable. The tables in the beer garden were full.

The name lives up to its promise. The menu is small but exquisite. The food is down-to-earth and good. The service is very attentive and friendly. This is the perfect way to enjoy a Sunday evening after a hike! P.S.: I don't have a dog, but the beer garden is very dog-friendly.

A baked röggelchen... already topped with sliced ​​cheese from the package, directly spread with mustard, a slice of onion (if at all!!) cut across the two halves AND then a sliced ​​gherkin on top of the cheese!!!!! Everyone should make this according to their own taste... and then 6.90 euros, are you serious???? Since the waitress was really super nice, we didn't want to take it out on her!! But you should think about or adopt the Cologne concept again... By the way, my wife's pancake was very tasty... Maybe we'll come to you again for a second chance...

Delicious, Kölsch, delicious Cologne cuisine, attentive staff, relaxed boss. What more could you want for a nice evening? Insider tip, it's definitely worth the trip - it doesn't always have to be Cologne. 😅

The location from the outside is very cozy. The service is a 10/10. Very accommodating and attentive. For the ladies there is everything a woman needs in the toilet, a big plus point. To eat yourself... We had the Balkan goulash with spaetzle and beans, a 10/10 for me, my partner found it a bit too sweet, hence 9/10 points. I had the chicken steak with fries and champion sauce and a side salad. For me a 10/10... it was very, very tasty. I can only recommend the inn. I am a very critical guest, but I felt very comfortable here.

Very tasty, good "corner" here you can simply drink a Kölsch (Päffgen) or eat well. The menu is constantly revised a little and new dishes are added. The beer garden is also a highlight and invites you to linger.

We were there with our son. He had fish fingers with fries. After the meal he thanked the waiter and said that the fish fingers were very tasty. A little later, when I went into the building to use the toilet, I overheard a conversation between this very same waiter and the cook through the ajar kitchen door. The waiter reported to the chef that he should "wank into the fish fingers more often" since the guest liked it so much. He should go out to see the guest, who would definitely like to get to know him in person because the fish fingers were so delicious (apparently due to the chef's body fluids). My son was the only guest with fish fingers and had recently commented seriously positively about the food. So it was clear to me that these gentlemen were making fun of my son in an absolutely disgusting way. I then intercepted the waiter in a secluded area and confronted him without other guests being able to hear. At first he supposedly didn't know what I was talking about, but when I quoted his words he suddenly remembered and said it wasn't meant that way. I told him that there was no room for interpretation of the statements. I advised him to make sure in the future that no one is around when you gossip about his guests and recommended that he take a short detour to the neighboring church and pray that I don't see him in the middle of the beer garden with his friends I was confronted with stupid and outrageous sayings. Then it would have been empty immediately. I recommended to the operator to adjust the menu. Instead of “fish fingers with fries,” it should probably be “fish fingers with sperm.”

Very cozy place. Friendly service. Jürgen is a really nice guy - the best service! Food tastes very good, price is a bit higher, hence one star deducted. Parties are great. The beer garden and the Kölsch are ideal.

Super nice pub with delicious home cooking. Service friendly, familiar and courteous. I ordered the pork chop and my friend ordered the cordon bleu. The chop was amazing! Really tender, juicy and delicious!! The cordon bleu was delicious too! We were served immediately despite the restaurant being full. Since we are not regular customers and were there for the first time on a Sunday evening, I cannot confirm the other reviews that you will not be served there if you are not a regular customer.... We will be back definitely!

Delicious and fresh food, with a changing weekly menu. The Kölsch is fresh from the tap and you can sit nicely in the beer garden.

Good food, big portions, good price! Nice service in a rustic restaurant. I can't rate the outside area because we ate there in winter. I didn't have the impression of being "neglected" in the restaurant, although there were obviously some regulars there. Gladly again!

Very, very tasty schnitzel, unfortunately I had to skip the delicious Päffgen Kölsch due to driving reasons, but I had an extremely delicious waffle with hot cherries and ice cream as the crowning glory

Auf Empfehlung dort gewesen, Uhr gemütlich, Essen war sehr sehr lecker, vom Bier hätte ich gerne ein paar mehr trinken können ( Gut gekühlt und Lecker), sehr freundliche zuvorkommende Bedienung mit angenehmen lustigen Sprüchen ( Lach ). Bin gespannt wie es im Sommer im Biergarten ist. Wird weiter Empfohlen!!!!

Ich war immer sehr begeistert von dem leckeren Essen, leider hat es nachgelassen, vielleicht der Koch gewechselt, ich weiß es nicht. Pommes stark versalzen, auch der Salat ist nicht mehr, was er mal war.

Es war ein gelungener Nachmittag & Abend. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Das Essen war bis auf 2 Kleinigkeiten ein Träumchen und für diese Servicekräfte, würde mancher sich alle 5 Finger lecken.

Cozy little town pub next to the local church. Open between lunch and dinner service, on a Sunday. Extra points for that! Service is extremely attentive and kind. Would have loved if salt and pepper/condiments were on the table, and more than just 1 napkin provided per person- although I'm sure they would have provided all that if we had asked. All in all, we will go back and enjoy their delicious tap Kolsch beer.

Hier wird man freundlich empfangen, das Essen ist super! Gute Qualität zum sehr fairen Preis. Einrichtung urig aber sehr gemütlich. Dessert-Auswahl leider sehr einfallslos aber deshalb zieh ich keinen Stern ab! Wir kommen trotzdem wieder.

Uhrige und gemütliche Eckkneipe mit köstlichen Speisen, lecker Kölsch und immer gut besucht. Hier trifft sich das Dorf, die KG für uns Pänz und der dazugehörige Adel an der Theke und plaudert über Geschichten aus dem Dorf. 😉 Ich komme gerne her, ob vor oder nach dorfinternen Veranstaltungen oder einfach so mit Freunden.

Wir haben im Biergarten gesessen. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Innendrin viel Holz und sehr urig. Uns hat es gefallen, weil es total gemütlich ist. Wer gutes Essen und das Alte mag, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Wir und unsere Hunde ☺️ empfehlen es uneingeschränkt weiter.

Eine Hochzeitsfeier würde dort gebucht, man hätte im Vorfeld die Hilfe und Leistung besprochen. Leider aber wurden diese völlig außer acht gelassen, so sollte für den Abschnitt der Torte jemand vom Personal die Torte schneiden. Leider kam niemand auf Anfrage sagte man dann, können sie das nicht selber. Das reicht danke ich werde dort nichts feiern

Durch Zufall auf dieses tolle Restaurant gestoßen. Es war die beste Entscheidung dort zum Abendessen einzukehren. Tolle, nette, aufmerksame und charmant lustige Bedienungen. Ein Traum von Schnitzel und Kölsch vom Fass. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind wird es für uns zur Pflicht wieder dort einzukehren 🙂

Das Ambiente stimmt super gemütlich, aber das Preis Leistung verhältnis.dzimmt nicht so richtig. Meine Rindfleisch(Kraftbrühe) war dunkel. Ob das normal ist weiß ich nicht. Kenne sie nur klaru d dann mit diversen Gemüse. Nix und dann 4.80 eine kleine Kaffetasse. Najaalles ist teurer geworden aber.......

Päffgen vom Faß wie beim Lommi in Köln. Reserviert einen Tisch im voraus da das Lokal sehr gut besucht ist.
