The concept is based on ordering, greetings from the kitchen, and conversations before and between meals. The service was super friendly and attentive. Overall, however, the food took a bit too long to arrive; our little man couldn't stand almost 1.5 hours. So, whether you're a couple, in a nice group, or just without a toddler, it's perfectly fine. The food was delicious. Overall, we can recommend the restaurant.

We really enjoy eating at this restaurant—we only eat meat if we know where it comes from and if the animals were raised humanely. This is how it's done in this restaurant, so we can eat meat there with a clear conscience. The food is fantastic, and even with the menu changes, it's never boring. The food is of very high quality. We had an excellent three-course meal with matching drinks. With every course, it was evident that great importance is placed on quality products, prepared with creativity and craftsmanship. We particularly enjoyed the selection of fish and vegetarian dishes, as well as the excellent selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including those from van Nahmen and Manufaktur Geiger.

We came to you in good spirits and with an appetite for good food. Then we sat and sat. We were the first guests. It took a while before we were asked what we wanted. After more than two hours, we asked when we would finally get our food. We were accused of having to boil extra pasta water for gluten-free pasta. After two and a quarter hours, we were finally served. Other guests who came after us had long since left. Since I had trouble sitting on the hard chair for so long, I didn't particularly enjoy the food. I hope other guests don't have to wait so long to be able to eat with an appetite. I don't understand why you keep talking about gluten-free food. I didn't ask for any. I simply said that I can't tolerate wheat, and I can't tolerate the preservatives in wheat. So I asked for gnocchi, and you wanted to give me ravioli.

We went to this restaurant today. It feels a bit strange choosing a place based on its great reviews and then experiencing something completely different... My 90-year-old mother and I were the first guests at 6 p.m. The reception was very friendly. Menus and drinks arrived within a reasonable time. We chose our dish fairly quickly, but couldn't order until 6:30 p.m. Other guests arrived during that time. I counted 17 guests in the end. And then everything dragged on. The bread and greetings from the kitchen arrived after about half an hour and 50 minutes, respectively. The salad after about 1.25 hours. My mother could hardly sit on the rather hard chair any longer. We asked several times how long it would take for the main course. The first answer was that we were next. When we asked again, we were told our receipt had been in the kitchen at 6:30 p.m. Yes, we just couldn't order earlier. It was already 8 p.m. Then they said we should have mentioned my mother's gluten intolerance when making the reservation. They would have had to boil new pasta water for gluten-free gnocchi. This apparently took a very long time, so we didn't get our food until 8:15 p.m. If they had told us this beforehand, she would have gladly chosen a different side dish. The meal was delicious, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it because my mother couldn't sit down any longer. We quickly paid and left. I like to wait for a delicious meal, but 2 hours and 15 minutes from entering until the main course is served seems far too long to me. Luckily, we didn't order a set menu... It's also not nice when the long wait is blamed on the guests. We definitely won't be coming back. Update: Yesterday, there was a very friendly, emphatic response to my review here, full of self-criticism... You're right, as you wrote to my mother, your restaurant needs different guests than us. But my culinary journey of discovery in my old home with its many great restaurants continues

The Haus am Berg scores highly with its excellent food – high quality, tastefully presented, and visually appealing. The service was also consistently friendly, attentive, and very attentive. You can tell that the staff places great value on hospitality. However, there are unfortunately significant deficiencies in time management and staffing. We had to allow over three and a half hours for a three-course meal – a completely excessive timeframe, even for a cozy evening. The aperitif didn't arrive until about 50 minutes after our arrival, and the main course was served after about two hours. This unfortunately tarnishes the otherwise very positive overall impression. The outdoor area is beautifully designed – quaint, convivial, green, and idyllic. An ideal place for balmy summer evenings and long conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. In conclusion: If you have plenty of time and even more patience, you can spend a truly wonderful evening with excellent food at the Haus am Berg. If we have enough time again, we would be happy to come back.

Compared to last time, there were a few minor criticisms – the salad wasn't quite fresh and there was no cheese selection. But otherwise, it was simply delicious.

The Iberico pork main course was delicious, as were the other courses. The food was all made to order from fresh local ingredients. No hint of any pre-prepared food. The lady of the house who served us was very friendly and attentive. We found the meal to be good value for money considering the high quality of the food.

We had an extremely tasty meal in a very nice atmosphere, not just good, but special! The service was very gracious. However, the whole thing took quite a long time, whether that was due to the service or the kitchen was not transparent. Since the kitchen doesn't get any stars, the service has to pay for it, sorry! 🤭 Just bring some time for a nice, delicious, relaxing evening (at least on a Saturday). I'm still amazed by the taste experience!
