We stumbled upon this wonderful place while walking along the street, feeling very hungry, and it left us with fond memories of both the food and the hospitality. The omelet was amazing, and the daily dishes were delicious. A heartfelt thank you to the owners, Taki Bey and Tülay Hanım. Everyone visiting Munich should definitely add this lovely place to their list.
The restaurant excited our expectations. From first moment to last, food, vibe and service was on highest possible level. Big thanks to all the staff especially our host Rike (hopefully I spelled it right) that made our time fly with warm and professional approach.
On top of perfect service, food was delicious and this place have our full recommendation. For sure place to visit again.
It was a successful stay. The restaurant offers a well-stocked selection of food and wine. Service very courteous but not intrusive. I enjoyed spending the evening there. Will definitely be back.
The food was excellent, even with special requests for allergies. Excellent service despite 37 degrees Celsius in the shade. Prices were perfectly reasonable. It's a pleasure!
A good hotel for a stopover. There's a playground for the kids. The on-site restaurant was also nice, featuring family-style recipes. We slept well in the family room. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and fresh produce.
Last time, I tolerated the waiter's rudeness, but today I've really had enough. :-((
Wednesday evening, 6:00 p.m., beautiful weather, we wanted to sit on the terrace.
I went inside and before I could catch my breath, I was dismissed with a
"No outside."
No good evening, no "We're sorry, but..."
How can anyone in the hospitality industry be so unfriendly??
I assume it was the owner, because an employee would be sacked for something like that.
We left, of course, and will never come back!!!!
We're now sitting in Tirschenreuth in the Riviera on the market square, eating delicious pizza with lots of cheese.
Very friendly staff here.
A small hotel in a quiet part of town - a good starting point for hikes
The hotel (or is it just an inn?) is located in a quiet part of Lichtenfels in Upper Franconia.
The property consists of an old building and a new building.
According to the website, there is a difference in the room amenities (and also in the price) - the new building also has an elevator.
We spent two nights in the new building. The rooms are modernly furnished, with very nice reading lamps by the bed and are sufficiently large (even for stays of 1-2 weeks). These rooms have a lovely, large balcony. The views vary depending on the side of the building.
The bathroom was relatively large with a walk-in shower. There was ample storage space.
We received a very friendly welcome and were then shown to our room. The door opens electronically. This worked very well.
The kitchen serves mainly Italian cuisine. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, three regional dishes are also offered – some require advance reservation (Schäufele).
You can also (pre-)order a fish dish.
The service was very friendly.
The prices for food and drinks (at least three beers) seemed reasonable to us – beer prices are below the level in other (northern, eastern) German states.
The bill was brought to us at around 10:30 p.m. There is the option of sitting down in additional rooms and spending the evening.
The breakfast rooms are modernly furnished. There is a fresh food counter between the breakfast room and the kitchen. This was used to refill the food in the back, which guests had placed on their plates at the front. ;-)
I didn't find the single coffee machine for guests ideal. You have to be prepared with some time, and you only get one cup of coffee at the table. However, these machines are becoming more and more common in hotels. This allows you to choose from various coffee drinks, but you do have to queue, which might take a while.
The hotel offers plenty of parking spaces and garages for cars and e-bikes.
The hotel was busy during our stay. In the morning, e-bikers set off on their rides.
There are (at least) two castles/monasteries near the hotel that you can explore. You can get further by bike.
It was simply delicious. They served Allgäu onion roast beef, perfectly cooked, pink, very good quality, served with fantastic cheese spaetzle. I was about to order the main course again, but then reconsidered and opted for Kaiserschmarren for dessert. Also highly recommended.
It's not exactly cheap, though; the main course came to just under €30. However, expensive food is no exception these days, so I didn't want to deduct anything for that...
