Small Italian restaurant, it is advisable to make a reservation, there are not too many tables inside. However, we were lucky to get a free table. Limoncello Spritz highly recommended! Menu clear but still enough choice. Pizza bread was generously topped with tomato sauce. Service was very pleasant.

Update: after 2 years still the best Schäufele. The cordon bleu is also excellent. Visiting Franconia again. Food still excellent. Such as venison shovels and carp fillet. If I could give it six stars I would. Great Franconian cuisine with friendly service. What more could you want? The Schäufele are awesome, all the other dishes are great too. There's really nothing to complain about. The bloodroot tasted good too!

Good and beautiful restaurant, very good price-performance ratio. Just outside Dinkelsbuehl, lots of parking spaces. Were there when the innkeeper was playing music. There were a lot of seniors there to dance. The music could have been a little faster and more varied.

Four of us had dinner there yesterday. We had schnitzel with fries… the schnitzel was extremely thin, like paper thin. The fries were hard and inedible! We were still very hungry afterwards and then went somewhere else... We won’t go here to eat anymore… No thanks!
