Wieder mal ein schönes uriges Wirtshaus abseits des Stadttrubels. Schweinebraten war schön üppig, sehr zart mir viel Soße. Klasse! Schnitzel ebenfalls große Portion und sehr gut gewürzte Pommes. Was jedoch zu erwähnen ist, dass due Speisekarten vollkommen neu waren, jedoch die Preise beim bezahlen nach Angaben des Wirts nicht stimmten, sondern teurer waren (Schnitzel zb 12,00€). Immernoch top Preis, aber das sollte geändert werden. Auf den Hinweis wurde leider gar nicht reagiert, was sehr schade war.

Friendly staff, freshly prepared and beautifully presented dishes, delicious food, a clean and nicely decorated restaurant, quick service, good value for money... We returned three times during our vacation because the whole family loved it. Whether sushi or rice dishes with various sauces, everything was delicious. A hidden gem in Bamberg! Centrally located, right next to the church in the hustle and bustle of the shopping district.

I recommend the waffles, they are always delicious! You can take a basic waffle or upgrade it with different topics and fruits on top. The home made lemonades are very fresh, the coffee is also very good. I love Bundys, it is a perfect spot near Karlsplatz

Cheerful, typically Italian, delicious - highly recommended - we will definitely go there again.

We drove all the way there just to see through the window that the restaurant is permanently closed. There's a mattress in the hallway and the dining rooms are empty. Why isn't this posted anywhere?

Hello everyone… I would like to write a good review for the Gasthaus zur Post today, but given the current circumstances, I'm finding it difficult to find anything positive to say about it. I'd like to go into a little more detail. My wife and I visited the restaurant and quickly decided on the roast pork with red cabbage and dumplings. We were looking forward to a roast pork with a delicious crackling, where the meat would be flavorful and perhaps even fall apart (you know what I mean, when you put it in your mouth and it practically melts in your mouth, tasting wonderful). We also expected homemade red cabbage and potato dumplings. And this is where the disaster begins… What we received was a roast pork with a rubbery texture. I won't even mention the lack of a crispy crackling. This meat was so tough it was almost impossible to cut. The whole thing continued with red cabbage that looked like it came from a can or jar, and potato dumplings that were just as rubbery as the meat. The only thing that was halfway decent was the sauce, which had a slightly unpleasant caraway flavor and probably wasn't homemade. We ended up eating it because we were hungry. However, I can't and won't give it more than one star. My wife and I have been on vacation in Bavaria for a week and a half now, and we've already eaten at several restaurants, but what we had here today takes the cake. Liebeswirtshaus zur Post, I'm sorry, but you really need to do something about this… I'm certainly not the kind of person who complains about every meal, but this is completely unacceptable. I know this is going to sound harsh, but I could theoretically just grab a ready-made meal from the freezer—roast pork with red cabbage and dumplings—and it would probably taste better than what you served us today. Finally, I'd also like to address the reviews, which I naturally read beforehand and which is why I chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews. I don't know what you ate, but giving this place 4.5 stars is simply not fair. I don't want to say anything more about it today.

I ate broken rice with grilled pork and beef pho served in a stone pot. The food was average, not as delicious as the reviews suggested. Broken rice: 3/5

Das erste Mal dort und voll begeistert. Sehr freundliche und angenehme Atmosphäre, man fühlt sich willkommen. Die bestellten Burger perfekt zubereitet und unglaublicher Geschmack , selten so einen guten Burger gegessen. Volle Punktzahl und bereit wieder zu kommen.

Absolutely superb. The wine pairing was excellent and the sommelier was fantastic. Superb fine dining at a reasonable price.

Over the years, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. For example, the risotto has become too watery and the pizzas are no longer good. The only things that are still good are the appetizers. Despite this, the prices are still high given the quality of the dishes. What a shame!

Food was absolutely divine! But unfortunately I found a thick hair in my curry :( The service was a little awkward as the staff was hovering around us constantly , it’s a little difficult to eat when being watched so closely , but better than being ignored, I guess! There was a waiter who seemed a bit confused and overwhelmed , was constantly quizzing us what we had ordered (even after putting in our order) and since we were a large table it caused some stress having to remember everything again .

The takeaway doner kebab was great! 👍
