Pizzeria - Da Paolo in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

After bouldering we spontaneously went to the pizzeria and were immediately greeted in a very friendly manner by the boss Paolo. I was very happy that as a vegan I could easily get a pizza without cheese with lots of vegetables here. We had a very nice evening and would love to come back! Price performance is also great!

Great food, great service and fair prices, it couldn't be better. The best Italian restaurant in the entire county. I've been eating here for a long time and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Feel free to come by and see for yourself.

Great little pizzeria off the tennis court.

We enjoyed it, felt welcome and well served. Our daughter was greeted very nicely with a lollipop as she left. The only small point of criticism is that the outside of the salt and pepper shakers would have to be cleaned. But since I don't know whether only ours were a bit worn, I don't want to deduct a whole star, maybe the others were clean.

I can't understand the good reviews here. So either we had a super bad day or the reviews are bought. At the beginning the waiter was really attentive and served us straight away, the boss was just sitting at the table and was on his cell phone and bossing his employees around. A little later a large group arrived (seemed to be a club), after which we were completely ignored. All that was taken care of was the table, even though we were the only table occupied next to the group. The boss and the waiter walked past several times, looked us in the eyes, but didn't come to the table. We sat at the table for 3/4 hour and wanted to pay. The pizza was really bad, the dough wasn't fresh dough, the pizza had hardly any toppings and was super greasy, so that the fat just ran down. Unfortunately I can't say anything positive here!

The atmosphere was very good, the pizza was just perfect and the food tasted so good! One of the best pizzas in Garmisch, very good prices, it's a shame that so few people know about it. Definitely more than 5 stars!

Paolo hosted our pre-wedding dinner for the entire family. He and all staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it was the perfect start to our wedding weekend. If you come to this restaurant, you'll immediately recognize the great atmosphere, and everybody loved the food, too! I can't thank you enough, Paolo, for making this evening so special for us!

As a family, we found a great pizzeria here that I can only recommend. The boss Paolo serves here himself. The warm manner and the very tasty pizza made me feel like I was on vacation in Italy. Thank you for the lovely evening. Absolutely recommended.

Ordered the lasagna and the scampi alla griglia. I must say the portion for the scampi alla griglia was huge, my partner and I couldn’t finish it. The scampi fell slightly short of expectations as not all the scampi was cooked consistently (the ones with the shell were fantastic and fresh but the rest seem frozen). But the overall experience was still great 😄

Yesterday we went to play tennis, after which we had a really perfect beer at Paolo's and the food on offer also looked delicious. We'll definitely come back more often in the future. Best regards, Martin/Bati

I can't understand the rating of Ruby Foxsite in any way, we were always warmly welcomed and well looked after. The food is very tasty and plentiful, and the price/performance ratio is great. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Pizzeria da Paolo in Garmisch is everything you want in a pizza spot. The pizza? Thin, crispy, and cooked to perfection—exactly how it should be. The lasagna? The staff are friendly and genuine, treating you like an old friend. And don’t worry about parking—there’s a convenient lot right outside, so no stress there either. It’s one of those places where great food and warm vibes come together, making it easy to come back again and again.

We ordered 4 pizzas to take away and were absolutely happy with the choice. The pizzas were all extremely tasty and it is rare to experience such kind and courteous service. I would definitely order there again or eat there again and can definitely recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience :)

We would have liked to agree with the good reviews. Unfortunately we were taught otherwise. When we entered, the restaurant was empty inside, but there were a few tables occupied on the terrace. The service worker saw us coming - and ran away; no greeting, no hello. Waiting in front of the counter in the restaurant. An employee comes in, towards us, past us, puts menus in a stand, walks behind the counter, not a word of greeting, just nothing. Apparently we are either invisible, don't correspond to the expected clientele or you just don't feel like it. Leaving us standing there, we set off from Dannen. Just crazy, unbelievable, really outrageous and unfriendly behavior. It really doesn't work! This turns a beautiful evening into a modest experience.

We know the restaurant from our last vacation and were there again yesterday. We weren't disappointed this time either. The pizza was super tasty, all special requests were taken into account and the price-performance ratio was just right. Good option for the most crowded and expensive restaurants in the city center.

Unfortunately, we can't understand why this location even got stars! The food was almost unseasoned and the host was totally out of sorts and extremely irritable because of a football game! The young waiter tried to save the situation a little. But when we (14 people) still had to calculate our bill ourselves, it was enough. It's good that we all had a good day and that didn't spoil our mood! So definitely not recommended!

Great atmosphere and delicious food

Padrone Paolo has been known in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for a long time, dating back to ancient times as the owner of the Colosseo. A little away from the local mountain tennis courts, he now runs a small restaurant with first-class Italian dishes and a really nice and friendly personal atmosphere. The lasagne and the baked eggplants are highly recommended. But the steaks are also impressive. Everything is inexpensive and of good quality.

Unforgettable experiences, great food and the best service far and wide. Great atmosphere, I love coming 600 km from Frankfurt. The best food is the lasagna, you can't get enough of it.

Leckeres Essen und ein schöner Ausblick in die Berge. Für den fünften Stern fehlt lediglich das Gewisse etwas am Essen. Es gab zwar eigentlich nichts daran auszusetzen, doch irgend etwas hat gefehlt.

Paolo ist eich echter Italiener aus Abbano Terme, herzlich und großzügig. Pasta und Pizzen zur vollkommensten Zufriedenheit. Das Ambiente ("Tennisstüberl") könnte z.B. durch rotweißkarierte Tischdecken aufgehübscht werden.

Leckeres Essen und super netter Chef, der sehr bemüht ist seine Gäste zu unterhalten und gut zu bewirten. Direkt am Tennisplatz. Große Terrasse außen. Unser Hund war auch Willkommen, hat vom Chef direkt Eiswürfel bekommen weil es so heiß war. Ganz lieb. Tortellini al forno zu empfehlen. Preis - Leistung top. Jederzeit wieder 😊

Sehr leckere Penne Genovese gegessen, die größte Portion die ich je bekommen, hätte auch locker für 2 Personen gereicht. Leider wurde das bestellte Pizzabrot vergessen.

Waren über ein verlängertes WE in der Gegend und haben zufällig diese Pizzeria entdeckt. Es war so lecker das wir 2 Tage später nochmal da waren. Der Boden war auch richtig knusprig. Eine (für mich) der besten Pizzen die ich je gegessen hab. 🥰

Habe die 4,8 Rezensionen gesehen und dachte, dass man hier richtig lecker essen kann. Esse mit Vorliebe Lasagne Bolognese, habe diese auch dort bestellt und wurde enttäuscht. Das Essen haben wir selber abgeholt, aber die Autofahrt dauerte nur 5 Minuten. Die Lasagne war kalt, schmeckte säuerlich und von Tomaten in der Bolognesesauce leider keine Spur. Nur gebratenes Hackfleisch und etwas was nach Frischkäse (?) schmeckte mit paar Klecksen Tomatensauce oder -mark(?). Habe noch nie so eine schlechte Lasagne serviert bekommen, für diese würde ich nur 1 Stern geben. Zudem eine Pizza mit Champignons, Schinken und Artischocken bestellt. Diese war gut obwohl keine frischen Pilze, wie auf den Bilder zu sehen, darauf waren. Für die Pizza wurden wir 3 Sterne geben. Deshalb als Durchschnitt 2 Sterne.

Die beste Entscheidung (nicht nur) nach einem ausgiebigen Ski-Tag. Nettes Ambiente, gutes Essen und ein sehr sympathischer (manchmal tanzender 😄) Wirt. Gerne wieder!
