I would like to share my experience at Café Moritz for anyone who is considering hosting a private party there.
We have made reservations for a larger family celebration (Easter breakfast) for 72 people, including two babies. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing in several respects:
• All children were billed as adults, with the exception of the two babies - although the website advertises reduced prices for children (up to 4 years old is even free).
• The so-called “gourmet breakfast” at our private event was not offered for 49.90 euros per person as publicly advertised, but 15 euros more expensive per person - with the argument that more staff were needed for closed events.
• The egg dish, which according to the menu is calculated for two people, was only served for 6 to 8 people in total, but was still charged for two people. This means: significantly less performance, but full price – a clear financial advantage for the operator.
• We were given a cost estimate in advance which did not make it clear that drinks were not included. Since we were guided by the description of the gourmet breakfast, the surprise was great - and so was the annoyance.
Overall, it was an expensive and disappointing experience for us that we cannot recommend. Anyone who relies on the information on the website must expect unpleasant surprises when billing.
Insanely delicious Indian food. Super friendly service and owner. He also takes the time to have a nice conversation and to make his guests happy and maintain contact. It was our first visit based on a recommendation but definitely not our last visit. Great value for money too!
By far the best doner here in Lichtenfels, the pizzas and pasta are also great. I've been a regular customer since it opened, very nice staff and friendly service. Thanks and keep it up! Edit 2025: unfortunately the kebab has worn off quite a bit, I now buy my kebab somewhere else, sorry but I'm just being honest.
Had a shepherd's roast today. A pleasure in terms of taste. Meat buttery soft. Kohlrabi vegetables are great. The food is always very good. Prices totally ok.
Very cozy restaurant, everything is freshly prepared and tastes very tasty. Staff very friendly! I'll be back! Just a few minutes to the train station and located right in the city.
Hello, unfortunately there is a web presence in the maps application but no current menu with prices, it's a shame, I would have been quite interested in the price structure established here. Nevertheless, all the best for the company, stay healthy.
OK, it's debatable. But in my opinion the Kabul döner in Lichtenfels is the best. I haven't seen other providers in Lichtenfels that cook the kebab meat well. In my opinion it has a better taste.
I grew up in this village. And my friend was the son of the owner of this place. Many years have passed, but since the past it has been one of the best places in the village
I have been a regular customer at La Nave for decades. But I emphasize: I was. The experience I had today won't bring me back to La Nave any time soon. There are two serious points: a negative trend in quality and at the same time a price increase of over 50%, from one second to the next.
Quality: previously the cream sauce on the pasta dishes was a cream sauce, today we got a quality that was more reminiscent of margarine taste. The second pasta dish had shrunk by about 30%.
Price: a pasta dish that previously cost €9.XX is now €15.90.
This may all be OK for representatives, etc., who are dependent on lunch and may receive a bonus, but not for us as locals.
