I'm just shocked. I have no more words for it. I don't recommend it to anyone. Me and my brother ordered something to eat there. We wanted extra calamari and saw afterwards that we were charged 6 euros per person and there were only three calamari extra, which means 6 pieces for 12 euros. Then we wanted extra tzatziki, in a small box and we were charged 6 euros for that. We had a bill of 55 euros!! For two people!!! It was neither good nor value for money, it was a complete embarrassment. So people 8 kalamaris 28 euros, please think about it. A small portion, almost nothing was in it and that for 28 euros!!! I'm pissed.
The food was very tasty. The prices for the food were okay, but the prices for the drinks were pleasantly below average. The service was very friendly and attentive 😊
Nice little bar with friendly people. Courteous service. I ate a New York Pastramie Burger and Chili Cheese Fries. It was really tasty. Price-performance more than adequate. Highly recommended, I'll definitely come back.
I was disappointed with the attitude and hospitality of the staff. I asked to try a flavor of ice cream but was not allowed. I bought a scoop of ice cream, which unfortunately was terrible. I threw it straight in the trash like it was made from water, sugar, and food coloring. The price of an ice cream was exorbitant. Both the staff and the product were disgusting.
An excellent place to eat well at a good price. The atmosphere is perfect, it gives you a feeling of warmth and is very cozy. The waiters are also very friendly and fast. The menu is not very extensive but that means that the few dishes they have are of high quality. We ordered 4 different types to try more things and we loved everything. Homemade and delicious food, also at a good price
5 stars across the board and really justified.
I assume in advance that you can certainly eat Franconian food cheaper (not cheaper), but I don't think it gets any better.
Here it starts with the fact that every piece of furniture is real. The beams are massive and ancient, the chairs look like they come from a medieval film set, but it's not a stage set but antique.
The waitresses are fantastic and although they are Franconian robust, you are treated as a guest here in a friendly and respectful manner. I often miss that in other restaurants.
I had the Schäufele and was thrilled. I can't remember a better one.
My highlight was the very old woman who took part in the hospitality with a remarkable warmth. From my seat I had a view of the kitchen and the impression that being friendly with one another is what defines the culture of the team.
I was really looking forward to the pasta with salmon and shrimp, but the disappointment and disgust set in after the first few bites. There was a hair among the pasta! When I pointed it out to the waiter, he offered me a new portion, but I'd lost my appetite.
I was really disappointed, though, when I was charged the full price. Until now, Carmelo was my favorite Italian restaurant in Lauf. That's changed now!
