A real Franconian inn with real Franconian cuisine

Visited for the first time some time ago on the recommendation of my boss, and today for the third time 😁 we feel very welcome here, the landlord is in a good mood and always friendly and accommodating. The food tastes delicious, the prices are completely reasonable. The atmosphere is simply cozy, our dog is welcome 😊 thank you for the great hospitality. We'll be back, even our current visitor from Lower Franconia was totally thrilled here today and praised the Schäufele and also the perfect service 😉

We were here for dinner yesterday. It used to be better. The sauerbraten was quite tough. Not everything that was actually offered was on the menu. Something surprising! When we didn't eat everything, we were charged €1 for a plastic box. This is outrageous.

It's always nice to enjoy good food there and have a nice conversation with the innkeeper, we always look forward to hearing his story about the hunt and his experiences as a young hunter. We usually come by after a hunting vacation from Mecklenburg, because that's on our way home. Everything is always right in the Hallerschlößchen. Price performance and the delicious food here. We're already looking forward to the next time.

Nice, relaxed atmosphere. The service performs at its best, as does the chef with the fabulous cheese spaetzle. Tasty!

Very good food, here in the pictures herring with potatoes and wild boar with Kniedla, red cabbage and cranberries. Both were really very tasty and the other 16 people with different dishes (unfortunately I don't have any pictures) were also very enthusiastic. The price was also absolutely okay, the wild pig with 2 cola wheat was just under 30 euros. The pig believes everyone 21.90. But with bacon and Pfiffer and the Kniedla with “Bräisala”🤩 The staff leaves nothing to be desired, everyone is really friendly and accommodating. Even making a reservation (first for 10, then re-booked for 20 people) with I think 13 small dogs wasn't an issue. So it's really a real insider tip, but nothing works without a reservation! So we paws will definitely be back soon ❤️

Great location - very remote and quiet / we still got a seat (inside) despite not having a reservation / very nice beer garden in front of the historic building / even though it was very full - very friendly and quick service / and the food is very, very good - it went really well with the hike

Upscale country inn with a largely typical, not extravagant menu and delicious food. Friendly service even when there was a lot of guests (there were over a dozen of us). Recommended.

It's comfortable to sit inside and the food (especially carp) tastes really excellent. The plums in the dough are also recommended as a dessert (in my opinion the portion could definitely be larger).

I've never eaten such greasy (+expensive) cheese spaetzle! Had to eat fries in between because they were totally fresh and healthy in comparison. The highlight here is the ambience and the two waitresses, who have everything under control despite the packed shop.

We wanted to stop there after a hike. Unfortunately everything was reserved. If I offer to stop off after a hike, you should also keep a few places free for hikers. There were two of us and we could have sat down at the tables, but we weren't given that option either. The food may be good, but no service for hikers. A town further on there is a beer garden with free seating without reservations, these were only made in the restaurant.

Very nice, cozy beer garden with friendly staff. Large and delicious portions of Franconian cuisine at an absolutely reasonable price. It's very nice that warm food is offered all afternoon, perfect for hikers and cyclists.

The inn is really highly recommended. The food was very tasty and the vegetarian version was great. The Kaiserschmarrn is one of the best I have ever eaten. Service very nice. Rooms very nice. It won't be the last time there. A tip, be sure to reserve ;)

For those who like German home cooking and roast pork, this is certainly a great location and also very well attended. However, there are few vegetarian dishes and, apart from the salad, nothing healthy. Fish dishes are generally breaded and I think my pollack was a pre-breaded fish from the freezer without any taste and with a lot of breading. But the service was very nice and attentive :)

Great restaurant a little outside of Lauf am Nuschelberg. You can have a fantastic meal here in an old castle. The Franconian cuisine here is really awesome 😎 always happy. Personally, I would say the specialty is the pepper carp 🤩 Greetings Alex

Ate very tasty. We thought it was great that there were dishes that you don't often find on menus. Absolutely recommended, but please reserve in advance.

Went there for the first time, ate it really tasty, the onion meat is really very good, as is the side salad. Our group had Jägerschnitzel, carp, cordonbleu, everything was great. Good value for money, very nice service, parking space in front of the door, would love to come back!

@scholz: sehr geehrter Herr Scholz, ich war an diesem Sonntag ebenfalls Gast und saß im vorderen Bereich. Nachdem die Kinder ständig rein und raus gingen, entgegen ihrer Aussage, war es ungemütlich und kalt. Eine ältere Dame, die ebenfalls vorne saß, hat sich diesbezüglich auch beim Wirt beschwert. Wie soll nun ein Gastronom sich verhalten, wenn es mehrere Gäste gibt, die sich über die offenen Türen beschweren. Ist es heute zu viel verlangt, dass Kinder einfach mal auf Ihr Hosenboden sitzen bleiben, bis das Essen vorbei ist? Auch wir fühlten uns gestört. Ein Gasthaus ist schließlich keine Spielwiese.

Markus Scholz man sollte seinen Kindern vielleicht mal lernen wie sie sich in Gasthäusern aufführen sollen. Andere Gäste sind ja auch da und wenn bei dieser Witterung ständig die Tür offen ist, ist es für die vorderen Sitzplätze ungemütlich und kalt. Für die Erziehung Ihrer Kinder gebe ich Ihnen nur einen Stern.

Der authentische butterzarte Sauerbraten ist sehr zu empfehlen! Bei einer Reise ins fränkische Nürnberg ist das Hallerschlößchen unbedingt einen Besuch wert

Urige fränkische Wirtschaft mit sehr gutem Schäufele, Karpfen etc. Einzig das Angebot für Vegetarier ist ausbaufähig. Service schnell und freundlich, wir kommen sicher wieder!

Ein absoluter Geheimtipp!!! Urig, deftig, super Auswahl, erstklassige Qualität. Bedienung perfekt, der Schlossherr hat alles im Griff. Komme gerne wieder!!!

Also das Essen ist wirklich sehr sehr gut. Die Bedingungen sind sehr freundlich. Alle Wünsche werden erfüllt. Der Beilagensalat schmeckt genial. Das Dressing ist außergewöhnlich. Die Roulade ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Geschmacklich ein Traum. Das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Mega lecker. Gesamtpaket ist genau richtig. Egal ob Karpfen, Sauerbraten oder Käsespätzle.. Service war auch klasse und hat den Chaos Trupp super gemeistert. Danke dafür.

Ich gehe sehr gern dorthin, weil ich die zweitbeste Rinderroulade der Welt da bekomme (die beste macht definitiv meine Mutter), die Klöße wie selbstgemacht schmecken, der Wirt( zumindest zu mir) freundlich ist und die Atmosphäre einfach toll ist.

Sehr schöne Fränkische Wirtschaft, mit fabelhaftem Essen.

Für Kind: ...es gibt keine Spätzle, aber Käsespätzle... 🙄 Kleine Portion war von denen dann aber auch nicht möglich, schade. Leider war das Essen bzw. dessen Zubereitung nicht unser Geschmack.

Das Essen war gut und solide in Ordnung. Der Service hat erwartungsgemäß gepasst und war sehr freundlich, wenn auch das Essen zeitlich wegen vollem Gasthof gedauert hat. Da muss man eben wegen Beliebtheit Geduld aufbringen.

Eine tolle fränkische Gaststätte, die sich in Nuschelberg auf einer Wanderung durch die Bitterbachschlucht anbietet. Das Essen ist gut und die Preise angemessen. Für Wandergruppen mit max. 20 Teilnehmern ist das Nebenzimmer eine gute Option.
