The service and waiting times were catastrophic. The five of us came at 7 p.m. The ladies' drinks came after about 10-15 minutes (Aperol Spritz etc). Despite asking, we had to wait over 20 minutes for the remaining two beers. After several questions about where the starter (2 salads) was, we were told they would come straight away, as there was only one chef there today and the service had to help out. After 1 hour and 15 minutes (!) the two salads arrived. After just under 1 hour and 40 minutes the main courses arrived. Even when asked, there was no parmesan. The fact that something was missing from an order was noted but also skillfully ignored. After “I’ll ask,” the service simply didn’t come back. Unfortunately, the second waitress who cleared away later didn't speak any German. The food was generally good. But after more than 1.5 hours it was just way too late.

It's nice to see that after all these years of ups and downs in terms of health and personnel, the Krone in Zunzingen is still what it always was: a bulwark of Baden's gourmet culture against all fashionable kitchen trends, where perfection lies in simplicity. Bacon salad - hardly anyone makes it anymore, legendary schnitzel with even more legendary potato salad - and sauce! Faema coffee machine, schnapps and a clever selection of wine, plus the almost contemplative payment process when boss Rütlin discusses the bill and puts it down on paper with fine numbers. This takes time and provides time for another conversation. Why do you actually want to leave?

Mega sushi! Menu 5 for €15.00 is even too cheap for what you get. I'll definitely come by more often from now on!

Planned as a simple stop over on the journey south, we discovered a real pearl. Normally you are enthusiastic about the cuisine, yes, we are too. But now it's unfortunately rare for the service to be inspiring. From the wine presentation to the conversation, it's so professional that you hardly notice it. And a tattoo with a vine shows real passion for the profession. All in all: a real insider tip that you shouldn't drive past. A small downside: the “upgrade” to the dog room doesn’t feel like one.

The best place to buy burgers, whether vegetarian or vegan. Here you will find something for everyone. The service is good and the food is even better.

Totally unreasonable person. Only that I politely asked him to calm down his big labrador so that he doesn't hang around us while we eat. That's why it's not a zoo, but a restaurant. The man went completely crazy and was quite aggressive. I tried politely to calm him down, but he couldn't. fools make a smart man so that I will never go there again in my life, nor have I ever recommended him to anyone, the owner is a totally sick man who needs urgent treatment.

Delicious food and super delicious cake. And really great service! Only the ambience is a bit old-fashioned, but it also has its charm. However, you should definitely not let this stop you from visiting.

The beer is good But that was the only thing if you want to eat well and can't enjoy a simple Italian dish or an original French tarte flambée then give the place a wide berth

Man, those burgers taste great! We drive about 17 km to eat here. Yes, you can taste that it is pure beef with no additives.
