Anyone who knows the Schlössle knows that the rooms are something special. The service is good and you can feel that the two ladies enjoy their jobs. The food itself was OK, but no “wow”! The prices are aligned with the Swiss level, which then increases expectations. But that is still not correct. For clearing away, a serving trolley rumbles around the tables, giving it a canteen atmosphere for the moment. This is more comfortable. The end of work is at 10:30 p.m. - even on weekends - and this is communicated clearly, regardless of whether you are still sitting and your glasses are full.

An absolutely charming place where hospitality and quality go hand in hand. We have been coming for years and it is always a pleasure. Basi, the owner, welcomes us with exceptional kindness and makes each visit special. The food is delicious, authentic and always fresh, with those Greek flavors that transport us directly to the Mediterranean. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and cared for in detail, but if there is something that makes it even more special, it is its terrace. On sunny days, enjoying a meal with those spectacular views is a real luxury. A highly recommended place for those looking for good food, excellent service and a charming corner. We will return again and again!

The Gasthaus Sonne in Rotzel in the Hotzenwald is a very old village pub. The furnishings are in the old style and, in my opinion, very attractive. The menu isn't particularly extensive, but you're not spoiled for choice either. The food on offer tastes really good! According to the old tradition, the waldhaus beer is served in a stone mug and of course stays cold for longer. The parking situation is sufficient and the staff is really friendly and accommodating. The sun is always worth a trip! However, it is important that you make a reservation in advance by phone or online as the restaurant is only open on Tuesdays from 6 p.m.

I have eaten here occasionally, but that was the last time. The mixed salad was mostly red cabbage, some iceberg lettuce, 1 tablespoon of corn and 3 half slices of tomato. Mineral water is only available in pet bottles and is no longer served at the table. Too expensive for the food and service. Too bad
