We're in Hechingen for the night. Came across this pub. It didn't look that much on the outside. Lots of building work in the town. The beer garden was surrounded by a construction site. Inside was calm, quiet. It was quirky with lots of old photos and features. Specials on the board. Friendly waitress. Discovered Blanks beer. Very good. Food home made and well cooked.
If you are looking for a comfortable, clean hotel with attention to detail, at a good price and with a small restaurant/pizzeria where you can eat well.....
Come to the Hotel Bären in Hechingen.
The staff is kind and ready to satisfy your wishes.
Simplicity and Respect for the customer combined with efficiency and cleanliness. Well done.
One of the few pizzerias whose pizza is truly Italian. Thin base, crispy edge, fresh topping and not too overloaded. There is also a small lunch menu where the pizza with a side salad costs €6.50, although the pizza is no smaller than the one on the normal menu. The taste is great and the service is nice and accommodating.
Sorry, I get around a lot, but this was the worst Yufka I've eaten in a long time. The Yufka flatbread was extremely tough, the sauces had hardly any taste and when I said something spicy, he sprinkled a full teaspoon of Pul Biber over it for me. Afterwards you couldn't taste the meat, the onions, tomatoes or the sauce. Also, why can't you roll the thing up properly and fold it over at the bottom so that the customer doesn't get dirty because everything drips out the bottom? Some people also call this the king's bite of the Yufka when everything from the fat and sauces as well as the meat accumulates at the bottom. Given the time is 12:00 and the opening time is 10 a.m., it's strange that the spit was almost empty. Some people would say the skewer was from the day before. I'm curious how I'll get the kebab or whether I'll be able to visit the toilet more often afterwards.
Definitely has potential and deserves it! Was it worth being there just because of the staff! Keep it up! Maybe work on the food? But it was also really busy! You have to manage that first! Therefore worth a visit! And thank you that someone still runs a German restaurant
