The food was excellent and more than plentiful. We also received complimentary ouzo and a small dessert. We had made a reservation, which was definitely a good thing! The restaurant is located in a residential area in eastern Wuppertal and was very busy. The staff was very kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. In the summer, you can even sit outside. We will definitely be back.
We went there based on the good reviews and can only confirm them. Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and super delicious food! We'd love to come back 😋
Seating: Very poor, more like a snack bar than a restaurant.
Burgers: Taste good, but far too small for the price.
Belgian fries: Not Belgian fries – disappointing in taste and misleadingly advertised. It's questionable to display this on the menu board.
Card payment: Not possible, which seems rather incomprehensible these days.
I had a small beef pho as a starter, which was tasty—but not something I'd go back for. For my main course, I had udon noodles with duck and a sauce. The duck was a bit subpar in terms of flavor (the meat quality wasn't good in my opinion—there was no indication of poor preparation), the udon noodles were simply bland, and the sauce was extremely salty. The portion was definitely too small for me (male, 2m tall, 96kg)—without the starter, I would have left the restaurant very hungry. The prices are also simply too high for an experience like this.
I had an Ipanema to drink, which was very tasty—but unfortunately, it was served in a 200ml glass—there was nothing left of the volume after adding lime, mint, and, of course, a lot of crushed ice. Three sips and the glass was empty...
As if that weren't enough: We had reserved a table for 5, but when we arrived on time, there were no seats available, so we had to wait... Throughout the evening, the waiter didn't come once to ask if anyone else wanted a drink...
The ambiance is really nice, the plates, bowls, platters, etc. are all stylish, and the food is also very attractively presented - so the restaurant is perfect for social media posts 😅.
I despaired of finding falafel or durum in the Karlovy Vary region, Saxony, and Bavaria bordering it.
Luckily, I was traveling through Dortmund, and I really didn't regret it.
Two döner joints in Kassel and Dortmund under the same brand. Open until midnight (according to Google Maps). The premises are well-ventilated, with a neat and efficient staff.
I wish the owners continued expansion eastward: Jena, Erfurt, Dresden. I don't particularly believe it, so I'll be stopping by on my way to the North Sea from the Czech Republic.
For a change, the shop owner was very nice and fulfilled every wish. Very generous and welcoming. The food was also very delicious. I will definitely go again.
After ordering through Lieferando, I called Schüsseldienst to ask about the portion size and whether it would be enough for a big appetite. The friendly man on the phone was incredibly welcoming and immediately offered to add something extra to my order, even though that wasn't my intention.
So, service 10/10 – they really take care of you, and the staff clearly do their work with love. The food was excellent. The picture shows the beef chuck roast with pulled chicken, the salad was top-notch, and the sweet potato sauce was my absolute favorite. The bowl gets a 9.5/10.
As an added bonus, I received a complimentary rice pudding. I have to say, of all the rice pudding I've ever eaten, it was by far the best. 100/10!
Thanks, Lionel, you're the best! ❤️
P.S.: Give bro a raise! This review wouldn't have been possible without him. ☺️
We ate here for the first time today after a lovely day at the thermal baths and we were very impressed. The staff was very friendly, the appetizer was delicious, and the steak was fantastic. We will definitely come back again.
The service personal was really nice, the waiting time for the food is short. I ordered sushi, very nice. There's a lot of scaffolding at the moment which is a bit annoying.
