At the Landgasthof am Forst, you can always enjoy excellent Franconian cuisine. The staff is always friendly and attentive, ensuring your satisfaction. I especially recommend the schnitzel (kudos to the kitchen!), but the other dishes are also highly recommended.
Unfortunately, the menu doesn't mention that changes to side dishes incur an extra charge.
Another highlight is the cultural events on the in-house cabaret stage. There's a diverse program throughout the year, offering something for everyone.
However, it's worth noting that there's little to no cell phone reception on-site (which some might consider an advantage), but free Wi-Fi is available.
We stumbled upon Barena by chance after a handball game at the Quarterback Arena, as it was right next to our hotel. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The only downside is that it gets cold and drafty as soon as the door opens. I recommend a curtain for the winter months.

Ich bin Freitagnachmittag 16:30 Uhr in den Laden gegangen.
Da sagt mir der Inhaber 17 ... 17:30 Uhr, es sei noch nichts los.
17:30 Uhr wieder hin, ist der Ofen immer noch kalt.
Ich war das allerletzte Mal dort, denn solche Vorkommnisse gab es schon öfter. Mit seinen Kunden so umzugehen ist nicht erträglich.
Bevor man sagt, es ist nichts los, sollte man sich vielleicht einen Kopf machen warum. Die Pizza ist wirklich gut aber auch recht teuer. Bei der Unzuverlässigkeit springen eben Kunden, so wie ich ab.
Was denkt der Mann? Das ich warte bis 10 Kunden vor dem Laden stehen, dann noch eine Stunde warten bis der Ofen aufgeheizt ist.
Das im Guide Michelin empfohlene Restaurant Hinterding war eine wunderbare Überraschung auf unserer zweitägigen Radtour durch den Teutoburger Wald. Wir übernachteten dort und aßen natürlich auch im Restaurant zu Abend. Küchenchef Klaus bewies einmal mehr, dass diese wunderschöne Wander- und Radregion auch kulinarisch einiges zu bieten hat.
Wir genossen das Vier-Gänge-Menü mit Weinbegleitung und wurden vom Küchenchef persönlich herzlich mit frisch gebackenem Brot, gesalzener Butter und einem erfrischenden Erbsen-Minz-Gazpacho begrüßt. Wachtel spielte in einem der herausragenden Gerichte die Hauptrolle, gefolgt von perfekt zubereitetem Steinbutt und Kalbsmedaillons mit weißem Spargel. Der süße Abschluss – eine Auswahl verschiedener Desserts – rundete das Erlebnis perfekt ab.
Die Weinbegleitung war zwar nicht bahnbrechend, passte aber hervorragend zum Menü. Einzig ein kleines Detail trübte den ansonsten eleganten Eindruck: Zwei Teller wiesen winzige Absplitterungen auf, die die ansonsten raffinierte Präsentation etwas beeinträchtigten.
Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt mit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft, exzellenter Küche und einer ruhigen Lage. Definitiv ein Ort, an den ich gerne zurückkehren würde.

We had our Christmas party there and were completely satisfied. That's saying something, considering there were seven of us.
The food was perfect, as expected, and everything was freshly prepared.
I can't comment on the wait time. We all had appetizers, which were served promptly. Since we wanted to relax and had plenty of time, a longer wait would have been perfectly fine.
The service was very friendly and attentive.
The restaurant is comfortably furnished, and what I took as a good sign was that we were the only Germans. Everyone else was a Persian (Iranian) family. So the food had to be good.
We'll be back, and I've already recommended it several times here in Hameln.

I got a chicken burger and a chicken salad. The chicken burger was very good. The chicken salad had a little too much sauce for my taste, but it was still very good.
Still the best doner kebab, at least in this part of town. I used to go there regularly for takeout, but unfortunately, I live too far away now. Recently, my son brought home a chicken doner for lunch, and it was just like it used to be—absolutely delicious. The coleslaw, in particular, is still nicely shredded and well-dressed (instead of being cut into micro-cubes and tangy with lemon), and the hot sauce still lives up to its name. Highly recommended.
Everything was wonderful! Mr. Özgür Köse, the owner, made it possible for us to celebrate our wedding with 100 guests on October 3rd at very short notice 🥳
We had the entire venue to ourselves and were blown away by the fantastic service team, the amazing food 🥘, and the ambiance of the rooms, which was a highlight in itself 🤩
