A visit to the Ratskeller Waldheim is always like a little vacation from everyday life for me. Although (or perhaps precisely because) it's located in the heart of the city, it feels like immersing yourself in another world for a few hours. It doesn't matter whether it's cold outside and you're seated inside in the beautiful dining room, or outside above the Zschopau River, where you can feel the warm sandstone against your back and enjoy the view. The menu is just right: not overloaded, but full of creative ideas that make choosing difficult every time. I often find myself feeling a little "sad" after the last bite that I can't try the other dish... but that's precisely the best reason to come back! I especially love the moment when the chef herself brings out the slate board and passionately explains what the season has in store for Waldheim and the surrounding area and how it found its way into the kitchen. There's something inspiring, honest, almost artistic about it, and it makes this place so unique. And then the food itself: every dish is a dream, right down to the fantastic bread salad, which is a little highlight for me. You can taste the attention to detail in even the smallest things, the joy of cooking, and the positive energy that permeates this place. For me, the Ratskeller is more than just a restaurant. It's a piece of a lifestyle, a place that empowers, inspires, and shows that gastronomy with heart and soul, soul, and genuine hospitality still exists. Thank you for that!

Wir saßen draußen und hatten einen wunderschönen Abend hier. Das Essen ist wirklich super gut das war wohl die beste Pfifferlingssuppe, die ich je gegessen habe. Steak war auch super mit toller ofenkartoffel und sour cream. Die frittierten Bohnen hatte ich so auch noch nie und fand sie sehr gelungen. Wir werden hier auf jeden Fall öfter essen :-)

Excellent food. Bruschetta and pasta with seafood. There was really plenty of seafood in here. Unfortunately, the very busy restaurant closes in July for private reasons. There are said to be problems with the landlord. It opens again somewhere else. Hopefully here in Walsum again.

Wir waren zu zweit zum Fischbuffet dort und waren begeistert. Neben kalter Fischplatte und leckerem Nachtisch haben uns die tollen Fischgerichte durchweg richtig gut geschmeckt. Der Service war ebenfalls hervorragend, sehr nette Bedienung. Von heute auf morgen geschlossen, äußerst bedauerlich, war richtig gut

Wir waren das erste Mal im Da Miliziano. Es war die beste Pizza, die ich je gegessen habe. Alles sehr stimmig und die Bedienung fliegt nur so durch die Gänge. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder....und ich erzähle es auch jedem, wie gut es war. Vielen Dank!!!!

Bestes Restaurant in der Neustadt... es ist traurig das heute der letzte Abend ist ... Wir werden es vermissen 😥

Wir waren an einem heissen Augusttag zu zweit kurz vor 18 Uhr ohne Reservierung dort und konnten gerade noch einen kleinen Tisch im Außenbereich ergattern. Wir bestellten die gemischte Tapasplatte für zwei Personen und als die kam, kam sie uns äußerst knapp bemessen vor. ALLERDINGS haben wir nur noch etwas Brot nachbestellen müssen und waren inklusive einem kleinen Dessert dann echt pappsatt - aber noch wichtiger : obwohl diese Platte auch hier online etwas langweilig aussieht, schmeckte absolut alles exquisit gut :-) Toller Käse, sagenhafter Schinken, die Sardellen einzigartig gut angemacht, die Marinaden toll und auch die Oliven waren ein Gaumengenuß ! Dazu bestellter Rotwein - ich glaube das war der Hauswein - samtig, trocken - also hervorragend. Die Bedienung war so hübsch wie ausnehmend nett (weiblich UND männlich :-))) Wird sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein
