Die Atmosphäre war einfach perfekt – geschmackvolle Dekoration, angenehme Beleuchtung und ein Service, der unaufdringlich, aber immer aufmerksam war. Ich habe mich vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Genuss pur bei tollen Gastgebern. Ich habe bewusst nichts selbst aus der Karte gewählt, sondern bin den Empfehlungen Jimmis gefolgt, die er auf Basis meines Weines getroffen hat: Calamari, Octopus-Carpaccio mit Rote Beete und Skrei - es war ein Gedicht ! Dazu tolles Ambiente, was will man mehr….

Erstklassiges Erlebnis! Warum Speisekarte? Einfach dem Patron sagen was einem schmeckt und man bekommt Perfektion. Die Qualität der Zutaten und die Zubereitung sind außergewöhnlich, tolles Ambiente und Räumlichkeiten und sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal (inkl. Chef). Hervorragende Weinberatung. Wir waren zum ersten mal da und haben uns wie Stammgäste gefühlt! Warum 5 Sterne? Mehr kann man ja nicht geben. Danke für den schönen Abend!!!

It was a perfect evening!! We let Jimmy take control and he not only surprised us but also spoiled us beyond measure! There is also a very knowledgeable sommelier there, with experience from the best restaurants in Düsseldorf and the Moselle. I had a wonderful birthday party, the table was beautifully decorated and a little apart so we could celebrate wildly and have good conversations. The atmosphere was typically Mediterranean, cozy and stylish. The menu was delicious even for my guest who required gluten free options. The wines were outstanding and perfectly matched to the respective course. The coordination in advance with Jimmi was also very good, as he responded very well to my individual wishes. Medivino is a beautiful Mediterranean style restaurant. The food is varied and of high quality - something for every taste. The host is an original in the catering industry and runs his restaurant with a lot of charm, passion and energy. The perfect ambience for a nice evening with friends, a celebration or an event!

The price-performance ratio wasn't right and it was unclear whether the bread was a greeting from the kitchen or whether it was charged for. It is calculated and the filling up too. For the little things, bread is not included in the price. Food was ok, but nothing special. Ambiance is nice, service sometimes very inattentive.

The Medivino in Bielefeld is a real recommendation! The food is absolutely outstanding – we have never been disappointed here. Particularly noteworthy is the octopus carpaccio. Host Jimmi always has a good tip ready and gives perfect advice when it comes to wine selection. The atmosphere is rustic but cozy. In summer you can really sit outside on the monastery square. So first of all, the food was top class, although we had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for it. What I found very unfortunate was that it wasn't until an hour after I asked that we received a basket of bread with aioli to shorten the waiting time. However, it was also on the house, as already mentioned, the food itself was very good Afterwards, the cashier didn't even want a tip for the inconvenience and the boss offered us dessert or a nightcap on the house. The evening itself was nice, but at some point the waiting time wasn't nice anymore.

My wife and I come from Stuttgart and were in Bielefeld at the weekend. While looking for a restaurant we came across Medivino and I was very impressed with the menu. You can make reservations via WhatsApp, which I think is very cool and we still received a personal call from the boss and luckily we got a table. The expectations were very high because the card promised a lot. When we arrived at Medivino, we were greeted by a thoroughbred restaurateur (Jimmy). The shop is very cozy and just has character. We immediately felt comfortable and the fresh bread at the reception with olive oil and the best aioli I've ever tasted made us even more curious about the rest. There was a variation of starters that blew us both away. Everything was perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and individual. For the main course we had steak and sea bream. Both were perfect. The side dishes were perfect. To be honest, I don't know anything about wine, but I could taste that the wine we were served was good. The employees were also very nice. As soon as we are near Bielefeld we will visit the Medivino and your very special boss Jimmy again. Medivino is now definitely one of my top three restaurants in Germany. I travel around a lot and have eaten in a lot of restaurants, but here you not only get great food but also a lovely and unforgettable evening. We had dinner at Medivino with 7 people. First of all, I would like to mention landlord Jimmi's extremely flexible organization: Although there was actually no table left (we only booked on the same day), he made it possible for us to still get a table. We received great menu suggestions via WhatsApp and there were several phone calls and WhatsApp messages until we, a not entirely uncomplicated group ;), had everything dry. Well done, Jimmi! We received a very friendly welcome on site and were served quickly and efficiently by the service staff. Despite the busyness of the restaurant, everyone was friendly and relaxed and always completed their tasks with a smile. Keep it up! The starters were simply brilliant! A variety of delicious tapas were served and were very well received by all of us. This also applies to the respective main courses, extremely well prepared to perfection with sophisticated side dishes (e.g. vegetables) and tasty sauces. It was very good that there was a break between the starters and the main course, so the starters could sit down first and there was no rush. The interior of the restaurant is very chic and stylish without being over the top. All of the above shows my real enthusiasm. I have to drive from Stuttgart to Bielefeld to get a real culinary highlight that I rarely experience in my home country ;)!

I was at Medivino for the first time for a company event. We were warmly welcomed. Because we were a large group, we were given 4 main courses to choose from in advance. There was something for everyone. The starters were very tasty, very large selection and plentiful. The main courses were also tasty. Everyone had finished their plate. The crowning glory was the dessert. Simply delicious. The only thing I found to complain about was the time lag between the individual courses. I found it a bit long, especially since some colleagues had to leave early because they still had to work. Unfortunately, two of them didn't get dessert. Otherwise it was a very nice evening with great food.

The service is very bad. The food isn't particularly good, and you wait 1 hour for the starter and another 1.30 hours for the main course, and another hour for the dessert. The food comes very spread out, approximately 10-20 minutes apart. If you ordered something, like salt or the wine list, it didn't come or only came after you asked twice. There were about 20 of us and we basically had a waitress just for us, but everything still took forever. The food, especially the dessert, was from the fridge and quickly warmed up on the outside but cold on the inside. The price-performance ratio of the food is not good, the portions are very, very small and there is no sauce. So overall a restaurant not recommended.

Craziest shop in Bielefeld and then the best food!🚀

As soon as you enter the Medivino restaurant you can feel the attention to detail. The decor is so beautiful and invites you to linger and relax. The reception was also so warm, you immediately felt welcome. The food was varied and the dishes sounded so tempting that it was really difficult to choose. So there were just a lot of little things that filled my table... from beetroot carpaccio with feta cheese and walnuts, vitello tonnato with tuna salsa, beef meatballs in tomato salsa, gnocchi with Zigen cheese and a wonderfully creamy burrata that I have never had anywhere else. The start was perfect. Everything was so beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor was excellent. My rib eye steak was also spot on. Really, really good. But I can't forget to mention the pistachio teramisu which was the perfect finishing touch... a poem. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. I have to say it was an evening that appealed to all the senses. Medivino is not just a place where you eat, but where you really enjoy. If you are looking for excellent food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere, you should definitely stop by here. Dear Medivino team, keep it up :-) I'll definitely be back soon :-)

The reception was very questionable after my friend was completely eye-scanned by the owner of the restaurant in an unpleasant way... then it continued... the strange little owner brought us cards and made very strange statements at the table that were inappropriate were. The starters came and were completely “OKEEE”, every now and then a waiter came and made some pretty unpleasant jokes, which I didn’t think was bad. When it came to the main course, I had ordered a meal that passed off as "veal" on the menu, but me and my partner didn't know that there was pork on the veal... as a Muslim I couldn't eat it and asked again if it was It was really pork... the strange little owner of the shop asked me "Are you Muslim???" I replied "Yes" the owner replied "Very bad choice..." I sat on the chair in shock with my mouth open and that's when I knew not what to answer. The owner didn't laugh or say it was fun or anything. My food was changed to chicken and when the food came the little strange owner of the shop brought my food with "soooo here is your chicken without pork" to which I was very annoyed by his statements which were not funny at all, in fact I felt like it “UNWELCOMING” conveyed. So I will never enter this store again, nor can I advise anyone to challenge this restaurant with a visit. One of the waiters also said “yes, our boss is strange, I’m sorry” after the statements were described to him. That should speak for itself.

The food is of high quality and the price-performance ratio is reasonable. Auf der Durchreise machten wir Halt in Bielefelds Altstadt. Zum Abendessen suchten wir einen "Italiener". Pizza, Pasta, Chianti wäre schön. Medivino schien etwas davon zu sein. Zahlreiche Räumlichkeiten mitgeschmackvoller Einrichtung ließen Gutes erahnen. Beim Essen überließen wir dem Wirt die Auswahl und wurden von Gang auf Gang immer wieder aufs Neue überrascht: was angeboten wurde und wie es kulinarisch zubereitet und dargeboten wurde hatte nichts mit dem in deutschen Landen üblichen "Italiener" zu tun. Mediterran, international, mit Passion für gute Küche und pasendem Wein. Glück gehabt in Bielefeld!

Aufgrund der vielen super Rezensionen waren wir heute im Medivino um Tapas und guten Wein zu genießen. Also erst einmal ist zu sagen, dass die Tapas und der Wein wirklich gut, aber nicht herausragend waren. Soweit so gut... Allerdings lässt der Service einfach nur zu wünschen übrig. Nach der launigen Begrüßung gab es freche Sprüche am Tisch und ein Anschreien zwischen Service und Küche, der von uns als Gästen nicht zu überhören war. Das haben wir so noch nie erlebt und ist vollkommen inakzeptabel. Wir werden definitiv NICHT wiederkommen!!! Die wenigen Male, die man Essen geht greift man gerne auch tiefer in die Tasche, aber nicht, um dann so etwas erleben zu müssen!!

We celebrated my girlfriend's 32nd birthday here with 10 guests and I planned everything with the boss Jimmi. The ambience was great, the guests were very impressed by the food and wine, and of course we were too. The service was very attentive and we felt completely at home. Definitely a recommendation from us when it comes to tapas and good wine and if you also have something to celebrate, you're in good hands here.

We got a tip from friends that Medivino had very tasty tapas and wine and we fell in love with the ambience - it was beautifully decorated and you just felt like you were in good hands in the shop. The service was very friendly. The boss Jimmi recommended wine to us and also drank some wine with us. It was really a ten out of ten whether it was the wine or the delicious food! We will definitely come back and celebrate my birthday here with our friends.

For me, the Médivino is the epitome of vacation on your doorstep. It is located quite centrally, in Bielefeld's old town on the beautiful Klosterplatz. If the weather is good, we definitely recommend sitting outside. But it's also super cozy inside. The furnishings and atmosphere can be perfectly described as Mediterranean charm. The team is attentive, gives good recommendations and is super friendly. The wines are very special, you can find a suitable one for every dish. Wine lovers will get their money's worth here. The food is also of high quality. We tried many different tappas dishes and with each one we not only said “Wow, that's delicious”, but also “that's exactly how it has to taste”. No matter whether it's a vino in the evening sun, a relaxed get-together with friends or a romantic meal for two: Médivino is always a good address.

The MEDIVINO is located in the heart of Bielefeld's old town and, despite its wonderfully busy location, offers space to linger and relax. Because of the many great reviews, we went to Medivino today to enjoy tapas and good wine. So first of all it has to be said that the tapas and the wine were really good, but not outstanding. So far so good... However, the service simply leaves a lot to be desired. After the cheerful greeting, there were cheeky sayings at the table and shouting between the service and the kitchen, which we as guests couldn't ignore. We have never experienced this before and it is completely unacceptable. We will definitely NOT be coming back!!! The few times you go out to eat you like to dig deeper into your pockets, but not to have to experience something like that!!

Vegan wedding celebration in Bielefeld: We celebrated our wedding in the MÉDIVINO restaurant with a vegan menu and were completely satisfied! *Location:* We celebrated with 30 people in the event room on the upper floor. This is very spacious, well lit, cozy and rustically furnished. There is also enough space for dancing, access to a separate toilet and a cozy seating area by the window wall, which we used as a painting and craft area for the children and for filling out our guest book. We felt very comfortable there and received a lot of positive feedback from our guests about the choice of location. *Menu:* A highlight of our celebration at MÉDIVINO was our vegan wedding menu. Since we both live vegan lives, we wanted to design our wedding menu accordingly. Jimmi gave us competent advice and put together our individual menu with a lot of creativity, passion and attention to detail. All four courses tasted excellent and we only received positive feedback from our guests. At this point we would like to once again express great praise and thanks to the kitchen. *Organization & Service:* The organization and hosting of our wedding celebration at MÉDIVINO went flawlessly. We found the entire team to be extremely friendly and competent. The service was quick and reliable and our guests' individual requests were addressed without any problems. *Conclusion:* We unreservedly recommend MÉDIVINO as a wedding location and can well imagine hosting more celebrations here in the future.

My review relates to the service (and here to the operation of the evening): We noticed the blonde gentleman's bad mood as soon as our order was taken. First of all, I wanted the house bread and added that it should be served with the vegan aioli and not with olive oil (wording in the menu: "Vegan aioli or olive oil"), whereupon the waiter replied in an annoyed/foul manner that they only had vegan aioli anyway. This appetizer never found its way to our table. My companion's starter was brought but then promptly cleared away without any questions, even though they were still eating it. Apart from that, the owner of the shop was extremely charming, polite and approachable! Unfortunately, some people might confuse the humor with unfriendliness, but we had a good time!

A real gem in Bielefeld! My girlfriend and I stayed at Medivino to plan and celebrate our 20th birthday and we absolutely love it. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, but what made this evening special was the outstanding service. The boss and the entire team were incredibly friendly and accommodating - we immediately felt welcome. Particularly worth mentioning is the great wine tasting that the boss offered us, as well as the delicious food samples. The dishes were a dream - from the fine Octopus Carpaccio to the Vitello Tonnato, everything was perfectly prepared and lovingly presented. A culinary experience in a class of its own! We'll definitely be back.

We celebrated our civil wedding at Medivino with around 20 people. The food and service was really on point. Because of the good weather we were able to sit outside on the monastery square. The only drawback: We sat in the middle of the sun and unfortunately there were no parasols. It was a little too hot to eat. We even received a free food & wine testing in advance. This was really great to be able to put together an appropriate menu for our guests. Even though the organization was a bit chaotic beforehand, everything worked really well on the day. Our guests were thrilled and we can only recommend the Medivino.

Mein Mann und ich haben das Restaurant aufgrund der guten Empfehlungen hier bei Tripadvisor ausgesucht. Bereits bei der telefonischen Tischreservierung konnten wir die Freundlichkeit des Chefs spüren. Auch im Restaurant kümmerte er sich persönlich um uns und andere Gäste und schaffte damit eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Alle Gerichte, die wir bestellt haben, waren sehr lecker, nichts blieb übrig 😀 Alles passte: das Essen, der Service, das Ambiente, die Musik im Hintergrund. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

We once celebrated a birthday here with a larger group during Leineweber. Individual price agreement for food, beer and two great wines and covered outdoor seating, which was great given the good weather. Instead of taking a new order every time, the waiter brought us ice-cold buckets of beer, which he replaced as soon as they were empty and, upon request, he then served the agreed wines. The price was absolutely fair and I was also very impressed by how willing they were to find an individual solution for their guests. Owner Jimmy is a real gastro original. The employees know their craft. They have style, are friendly and work quickly and reliably. I'll be back for dinner with a friend soon and then I'm looking forward to the interior and the rest of the menu. What I find positive, by the way, is that the selection of dishes is kept compact. Usually speaks for a restaurant. The birthday party is certainly not comparable to a nice dinner at Medivino, so I'm looking forward to the other experience, but I already believe that Medivino is one of the best restaurants in Bielefeld.

Great atmosphere, great service and delicious food!

We were guests at Medivino as part of the evening market. We had read the good reviews and wanted to try out the next Spaniard in Bielefeld. Unfortunately, this didn't work out that way. We were greeted with “Here to warm up, or drinks or food” - you can find it funny, but you don't have to. The first waitress didn't know the difference between draft and bottled beer. Then the boss took over. First a bottle of wine was brought even though a glass was ordered and then there was no glass to order bottled beer. Certainly all “little things”, but it’s the number that counts. The taste of the food was ok, compared to other Spanish dishes, but nothing more. We know better alternatives for price/performance. We were rather disappointed, as were our table neighbors.

After a massage at the neighboring Kanda Spa, my girlfriend and I spontaneously stumbled into Medivino to grab a bite to eat and drink a glass of red wine. We received a very warm welcome from Jimmi and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great ambience, super tasty and high quality food and perfectly matched drinks. We followed Jimmi's recommendations and were not at all disappointed. The atmosphere is really cozy and after a short tour of the restaurant I immediately reserved a large table for my birthday in October. Absolute recommendation! We would like to come again :-)

The food is always a revelation. The tapas recommended by the boss taste like you're on holiday and better. All the ingredients are fresh and the aperitifs, whether with or without alcohol, are very tasty and a reason to come back again and again. Even as a vegan, I found what I was looking for here. My companion was also impressed by the tenderness of the meat. So in short: definitely worth a visit.

Owner Jimmy is a legend because he combines excellent food with a great atmosphere like no other. You just feel good in Medivino. And it's one of the very few places where you enjoy eating as much at 25 as you do at 65. At Medivino, all differences melt away and you simply have a really good place together.

...also wenn etwas spontan und gut war, dann war's im Medivino. Tolle Speisen, toller Service, hohes Niveau und trotzdem nicht abgehoben. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und uns eingelassen (...gibt es da überhaupt eine Karte??) auf die Empfehlung von Jimmy und wurden nicht enttäuscht.
