We were here for the first time 4 days ago. Very good food, SUPER delicious!!! The appetizer platter was unbeatable...we enjoyed it so much that we're going back today. Beautiful location on two levels, very romantic and cozy. By the way, it's one of the oldest buildings in Bielefeld... Extremely attentive and friendly staff, we felt very comfortable with you. Very nice ambiance, almost feels like a little piece of Italy 😌 The service was great, and the dishes, although rather small, were perfect with the red wine. All in all, highly recommended if you want a relaxed evening and aren't that hungry, but of course, a bit more expensive with a bottle of wine :) 4/5 stars, because I only give 5-star ratings to places that are truly outstanding, but the price/quantity ratio isn't quite right for me.

Years ago, I was a different owner at Jivino, and the atmosphere is just as great as ever. The place was very busy, so I can't say what it's like otherwise. The service was reasonably fast, though a bit odd at times. The food was decent to tasty, but the prices were too high for the quality. Overall, I would recommend Jivino if you can handle the higher prices.

The food was great. We had a table at 7:30 p.m. and ordered at 7:45 p.m. The food finally arrived at 9:15 p.m. It was generally very tasty, but the wait was truly unreasonable. There's a need for a new approach to processing orders.

We were there for a civil wedding on a Friday from 2 p.m. (special booking). The setting was beautifully laid out, the room was very attractive, spacious, and very bright! The service staff was extremely attentive, barely visible but always (!) approachable and helpful. Friendly, too, as you could wish for. There were flying tapas (special booking), and we guests were thrilled. Delicious, more than enough, and the number of courses seemed endless. All the guests were very, very satisfied, including my wife and I. The drinks selection was plentiful and perfectly complemented. A wonderful day!

Found it through a Google recommendation, decided spontaneously, and did everything right. The surprise tapas platter came in one vegan and one regular version – both simply delicious. Okay, Bielefeld doesn't exist, but this restaurant does! And that's a good thing!

Everything is just perfect. The cozy atmosphere of the vaulted ceiling, with its winding staircases. The tapas are exceptional! We celebrated our civil wedding at Jivino, and it was a complete success! We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful day! The location and ambiance are exceptional and invite you to linger. We started in the courtyard and later moved to the cooking school for the main course. It worked perfectly and created a whole new atmosphere. The service was beyond perfect! The two waiters were super friendly, courteous, quick, and had everything under control! They ensured that we were always well looked after and that we felt comfortable! The food was, as always, perfectly coordinated and delicious! Highly recommended!

An entertaining, balmy summer evening in May. We had reserved a table in the garden, but arrived too early and were "seated" near the bar. The best decision: we kept the table. It was like being in a movie. A focused (because he was actually grumpy) lead actor, an attentive, friendly team, a cool boss, and high heels on the stairs. Oh, and the food was great, too!

Wir haben im letzten Monat sowohl ein Firmenevent als auch eine Familienfeier im Jivino umgesetzt, beides mit ca 13 Personen und waren sehr zufrieden. Untergebracht wurden wir als Gruppe separiert in der Kochschule, sodass es trotz der Größe der Gruppe angenehm ruhig war. Ein Kellner stand ausschließlich uns den gesamten Abend zur Verfügung und hat uns sehr vorausschauend versorgt. Aperitiv & Weine waren top. In jedem Tapasgang hat wiederum ein anderer Gast sein absolutes Highlight gefunden, es waren also alle rundum zufrieden.

Last month, we hosted both a corporate event and a family celebration at Jivino, both with about 13 people, and we were very satisfied. As a group, we were accommodated separately in the cooking school, so it was pleasantly quiet despite the large group size. A waiter was exclusively at our disposal for the entire evening and looked after us very proactively. The aperitifs and wines were excellent. A different guest found their absolute highlight in each tapas course, so everyone was completely satisfied.

Bei einem Besuch im Jivino entschied ich mich für eine Auswahl klassischer und moderner Tapas: darunter Rauchschinkenröllchen, Zucchiniröllchen sowie ein hervorragend US Beef Carpaccio. Besonders beeindruckt haben mich die geschmackliche Tiefe der einzelnen Gerichte sowie die Sorgfalt in der Zubereitung. Jeder Teller wirkte durchdacht – ohne überladen zu sein – und zeugte von hoher kulinarischer Präzision. Das Lokal liegt zentral, ist dennoch ruhig gelegen und zeichnet sich durch ein stimmiges, unaufdringlich elegantes Lokal aus. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und wirkt nicht künstlich. Der Service war ausgesprochen professionell: aufmerksam, unaufdringlich und kompetent in der Weinberatung. Die Speisen wurden zügig serviert, ohne dass dabei Hektik aufkam. Insgesamt verlief der Abend reibungslos und angenehm. Jivino bietet ein hochwertiges kulinarisches Erlebnis, das sowohl Genießer spanischer Küche als auch anspruchsvolle Gäste überzeugt. Sehr empfehlenswert – nicht nur für besondere Anlässe, sondern auch für einen gepflegten Abend zu zweit oder im kleinen Kreis.

Great ambiance! The quality of the food is also very good. But calling a pork cheek on a menu that costs almost €17 a tapas is a bit of a stretch. A little something like a free piece of bread would have been deserved. In that case, I'd have to reconsider my value for money.

The variety and taste of the dishes are particularly noteworthy. Communication with the restaurant regarding reservations is reliable. We heartily recommend the Jivino.

Full star rating up for grabs! Reserved for 5 people on Sunday after the Herrmannslauf. A dream of tapas and red wine! Everything delicious and fresh! The cream catalana is particularly worth highlighting! The service is simply top! The crowning end of a weekend.

We went to Jivino for the first time today because of the good reviews. Our experience: the food is good to very good. We particularly liked the beetroot carpaccio. The aioli doesn't suit our taste. But it's different too. The wine selection is good. As some have written before us, there are a few tables you don't want to sit at. Otherwise the ambience is very appealing. The best place to sit is either in the vaulted cellar or upstairs on the ground floor. You should definitely pay attention to this when making your reservation. Service only comes when called. The boss is focused, controlling, serious and rather cool. We didn't really get carried away. At first we really felt like we weren't welcome. Since the food is excellent and the wine selection impressed us, we still give it three out of five stars. We think the young waitress couldn't help but adapt to her boss... would we come back again? We don't know yet today. The selection in Bielefeld is too big for that.

You should ask for the exact table. We reserved by email. Unfortunately, we were assigned a separate table at the end of the stairs to the vaulted cellar, which included a draft of cold air. It's nice further back in the vaulted cellar, but it was very loud there. The next time I make a reservation I would ask for a table on the ground floor.

We visited this restaurant yesterday evening for dinner. It is a cosy place with nice decorations. The waiting staff was friendly throughout. We got confused at the concept of this restaurant. They offer Tapas, some italian dishes, some greek and Merguez sausages. We would have preferred a more clear concept. ‘Mediterranean cuisine? Very well, how about Moroccan Tagines or Libanese hummus? While the food was ok, it was, IMHO nothing special. Go there is you are hungry, you will be fed. For some outstanding food perhaps rather go elsewhere.

Nettes Lokal, etwas unübersichtliche Räume unt enge Gänge. Gute freundliche Bedienung, schneller Service ca. 15min trotz vollem Restaurant. Es gibt zwei Speisekarten, das macht die Auswahl nicht einfach (Standard- und Saisonkarte). Speisen waren gut gewürzt und haben gut geschmeckt. Preise sind nicht günstig aber angemessen für die Qualität.

Wirklich schönes Restaurant, sehr leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal. Trotz vollem Haus am Freitag Abend waren sowohl Getränke als auch der erste und der zweite Gang sehr schnell am Tisch. Tapas, Fisch, Nudelgerichte und auch Fleisch- für jeden ist etwas dabei. Auch extra Wünsche waren kein Problem. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Familienabend im Jivino in privater Atmosphäre im Gewölbe. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hat uns interessantes Wissen um die speziellen Zutaten bei den verschiedenen Tapas vermittelt. Wir saßen mit 17 Personen an einem langen Tisch und konnten uns ungestört und angeregt miteinander unterhalten. Wir hatten die Tapas-Reise gebucht und das Essen war wunderbar! Sehr schmackhaft, das Fleisch butterzart. Viele der kleinen Köstlichkeiten waren auch neu für einige von uns und somit gab es einiges zu entdecken und zu probieren. Marcos Wein-Empfehlung war perfekt und der angefragte Calvados hervorragend. Fazit: Sehr schönes gemütliches Ambiente. Sehr angenehme Bedienung, freundlicher, zugewandter Service, obwohl das Lokal komplett ausgebucht war, kamen die einzelnen, leckeren und vielseitigen Gänge in perfektem zeitlichen Abstand. Absolut gelungene Geburtstagsfeier. Alle sehr zufrieden. Gerne wieder.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Jivino Restaurant and it was a great experience! The atmosphere is modern and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which made the stay even more pleasant. The food was outstanding! The dishes are fresh, tasteful and creatively prepared - you can tell that attention is paid to detail here. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant for anyone who appreciates good food and great service. I'll definitely be back!

A beautifully decorated restaurant with a great ambience. You can eat there on 3 levels and in the summer also in the courtyard. The service is always friendly and attentive. Orders are taken quickly and brought to the table quickly. With seating for two, these are a little too small for a good order of tapas. The bread with aioli was very tasty, and the wine was also appealing. We accepted an incorrect delivery, that can happen. We found that some of the tapas we ordered lacked spice. Price-performance ratio is right here.
