A very cozy restaurant in Bielefeld's old town, with an extensive food and wine list, and very friendly, attentive service. The food was, as always, excellent! We have been to Jivinio several times, both with business associates and privately, and can recommend it without reservation! We will definitely be back!

We celebrated our Christmas party with a tapas tour for 11 people at Jivino. We received very friendly service throughout the evening, and there were no long waits for either the service or the food – everything was excellent! The food was delicious, and the dessert was a 10/10. Definitely recommended!

From the service to the food, superb! We were there on December 20, 2025, for our company Christmas party with 18 people. It was first-class, although it was quite cramped for the taller members of our group. We were a bit squeezed in. Otherwise, top-notch!

First off: I have absolutely no complaints about the food – it was delicious. A drink was also returned without any problems after it was pointed out that it was flat. However, the organization and customer service in this area were a major issue. Weeks earlier, it had been arranged that a Christmas party would be held, and that two of the guests would be wheelchair users. This hadn't been a problem during a visit months prior: everyone had easily accessed the restaurant via the terrace (there's no ramp, hence only this one entrance). The evening began with the reservation being forgotten, which isn't inherently a problem – these things happen. However, we were repeatedly questioned about whether we were absolutely sure we had made a reservation there ("There are others with similar names"). After a chat history, including confirmation from the restaurant, was shown, the staff finally admitted: "You're absolutely right." We quickly got the feeling that we weren't welcome, as everyone realized that things were about to get difficult. The entrance to the interior was already blocked by a long, set table. Since no one was sitting there at the time, the staff cleared the way so everyone could enter. So far, so good. However, no further thought was given to leaving the restaurant. Our table wasn't by the terrace entrance, but at the other end of the room. You can imagine what happened next: "That's not possible right now." At that point, about 20 people were sitting between us and our exit. With great difficulty—and a free drink for the trouble the other (!!!) guests had caused—the table and chairs were moved so we could leave the restaurant. "Those two Ferraris have to get out of there"—such an outrageous and unqualified statement from the restaurant staff! Situations like this demonstrate how commonplace discrimination against wheelchair users still is. It manifests itself not only in physical barriers, but also in a lack of sensitivity and disrespectful language. Accessibility and respectful treatment should be a matter of course – not only when those affected have to point it out.

We went to Jivino for our Christmas party. However, they had forgotten our reservation. As a result, we were given a table in the very back corner of the restaurant, and that included two wheelchair users. The staff mostly seemed unhappy and rather annoyed with us. The food was okay, but we didn't feel comfortable, and certainly not welcome. The worst part, however, came at the end. When we wanted to leave, they preferred to let us out through the side exit, which isn't wheelchair accessible. Eventually, the staff relented and let us leave through the door we had entered through. That's when it really became clear that we weren't welcome. Because the restaurant is very small, about twenty guests had to leave briefly, and tables had to be moved so we could get out through the aforementioned door. During this process, no one spoke to us, only to the guests who had to get up. They were all offered a free drink and an apology. We, however, received neither. We were simply referred to as the people with the two "Ferrari drivers" for whom, unfortunately, space now had to be made. That's definitely no way to treat guests! And they've definitely lost us as guests because of it.

Disappointing and shameful. Despite having a reservation, we were initially told we were in the wrong restaurant – particularly problematic since two wheelchair users were part of our group. The restaurant was completely unprepared for this, and the way they handled it was chaotic, irritated, and disrespectful. The service consistently made us feel like a burden. The food was mostly good, but the bread was dry and disappointing, some of the drinks were substandard, and the bill was a disaster. The absolute low point was how the wheelchair users were treated when we left: people with disabilities were treated like a nuisance, including inappropriate and hurtful remarks. The suggestion to "carry them and their wheelchairs out the window" speaks volumes. In the end, other guests had to leave, and tables were rearranged – a situation that should have been avoided from the start. Only other guests received compensation, not our group, who had to justify themselves, argue, and endure the feeling of being the biggest nuisance in the room. This is neither hospitality nor equality. Even if the food is good, there's a complete lack of human understanding here. We definitely won't be coming back and strongly advise against visiting.

We were in Bielefeld for work and spontaneously decided to eat here. I can't praise it enough; the food was absolutely delicious, and the menu is perfect. There's something for everyone, and you don't have to choose from 40,000 dishes. We didn't have to wait long for our food, the atmosphere is truly authentic, and the staff are very attentive. Really lovely! I can definitely recommend it!

An all-around perfect evening! We were just here to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere and try some wine – without any great expectations. But we were more than pleasantly surprised! Despite the restaurant being full, they took an incredible amount of time for us, even though we "only" ordered one wine. We were offered several different wines to try, and in the end, we found one that was simply unbeatably delicious. The staff is perfectly trained, attentive, and warm – exactly how service should be! I've been here several times for business and private events! Always a perfect choice, as the menu includes not only the always available tapas but also constantly changing seasonal specials! The wine selection isn't overly extensive, but you'll always find a perfect wine for your table! Also worth mentioning is the ambiance, with various smaller rooms, all of which invite you to linger! The staff I've encountered so far have been very friendly and competent, so the good reviews are absolutely justified!

Very nice ambiance, almost feels like a little piece of Italy 😌 The service was great, and the dishes, although rather small, were perfect with the red wine. All in all, highly recommended if you want a relaxed evening and aren't that hungry, but of course, a bit more expensive with a bottle of wine :) 4/5 stars, because I only give 5-star ratings to places that are truly outstanding, but the price/quantity ratio isn't quite right for me.

Years ago, I was a different owner at Jivino, and the atmosphere is just as great as ever. The place was very busy, so I can't say what it's like otherwise. The service was reasonably fast, though a bit odd at times. The food was decent to tasty, but the prices were too high for the quality. Overall, I would recommend Jivino if you can handle the higher prices.

The food was great. We had a table at 7:30 p.m. and ordered at 7:45 p.m. The food finally arrived at 9:15 p.m. It was generally very tasty, but the wait was truly unreasonable. There's a need for a new approach to processing orders.

We were there for a civil wedding on a Friday from 2 p.m. (special booking). The setting was beautifully laid out, the room was very attractive, spacious, and very bright! The service staff was extremely attentive, barely visible but always (!) approachable and helpful. Friendly, too, as you could wish for. There were flying tapas (special booking), and we guests were thrilled. Delicious, more than enough, and the number of courses seemed endless. All the guests were very, very satisfied, including my wife and I. The drinks selection was plentiful and perfectly complemented. A wonderful day!

An entertaining, balmy summer evening in May. We had reserved a table in the garden, but arrived too early and were "seated" near the bar. The best decision: we kept the table. It was like being in a movie. A focused (because he was actually grumpy) lead actor, an attentive, friendly team, a cool boss, and high heels on the stairs. Oh, and the food was great, too!

Wir haben im letzten Monat sowohl ein Firmenevent als auch eine Familienfeier im Jivino umgesetzt, beides mit ca 13 Personen und waren sehr zufrieden. Untergebracht wurden wir als Gruppe separiert in der Kochschule, sodass es trotz der Größe der Gruppe angenehm ruhig war. Ein Kellner stand ausschließlich uns den gesamten Abend zur Verfügung und hat uns sehr vorausschauend versorgt. Aperitiv & Weine waren top. In jedem Tapasgang hat wiederum ein anderer Gast sein absolutes Highlight gefunden, es waren also alle rundum zufrieden.

Last month, we hosted both a corporate event and a family celebration at Jivino, both with about 13 people, and we were very satisfied. As a group, we were accommodated separately in the cooking school, so it was pleasantly quiet despite the large group size. A waiter was exclusively at our disposal for the entire evening and looked after us very proactively. The aperitifs and wines were excellent. A different guest found their absolute highlight in each tapas course, so everyone was completely satisfied.
