TokaMadera Tilia in Mannheim

Wir waren an einem heissen Augusttag zu zweit kurz vor 18 Uhr ohne Reservierung dort und konnten gerade noch einen kleinen Tisch im Außenbereich ergattern. Wir bestellten die gemischte Tapasplatte für zwei Personen und als die kam, kam sie uns äußerst knapp bemessen vor. ALLERDINGS haben wir nur noch etwas Brot nachbestellen müssen und waren inklusive einem kleinen Dessert dann echt pappsatt - aber noch wichtiger : obwohl diese Platte auch hier online etwas langweilig aussieht, schmeckte absolut alles exquisit gut :-) Toller Käse, sagenhafter Schinken, die Sardellen einzigartig gut angemacht, die Marinaden toll und auch die Oliven waren ein Gaumengenuß ! Dazu bestellter Rotwein - ich glaube das war der Hauswein - samtig, trocken - also hervorragend. Die Bedienung war so hübsch wie ausnehmend nett (weiblich UND männlich :-))) Wird sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein

Kann die guten Bewertungen leider nicht nachvollziehen, hatten einige Tapas versucht. Leider war nichts davon gut, eher fad; viel zu lang fritiert oder vertrocknet. Schade. Der Service war super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Der Laden ist schön, aber es war leider nur eine Bedienung für den ganzen Abend zuständig dadurch kam manches etwas schleppend. Das Essen war insgesamt gut, aber da geht sicher noch etwas mehr. Die Apfelschorle hat etwas ungewohnt geschmeckt, lag aber laut Aussage an der frisch geöffneten Sorte. Was ich schade fand: am Samstagabend um 19 Uhr waren die Peperoni schon aus für einen spanischen Laden am Wochenende eigentlich ein No-Go. Insgesamt aber ein ordentlicher Besuch, daher 4 Sterne.

Sehr leckere Tapas nach spanischer Art. Tortilla, Pimientos, Datiles con Bacon und vieles mehr waren super lecker.

Das Ambiente ist super, ein kleines Restaurant und besucht von spanischen Gästen. Wir hatten das Glück, dass eine Gruppe auch spanische Musik auf einer Gitarre gespielt hat, dazu spanischer Gesang - eine tolle Atmosphäre. Die Tapas waren toll, die Paella war für meinen Geschmack zu weit drüber. Das geht besser. Eine Kellnerin für das Lokal ist auch etwas wenig. Trotzdem 4 Sterne, weil der Abend wirklich toll war. Die Garnelen in Knoblauchöl sowie die Aioli waren mein Highlight.

Ich war schon ein paar Mal dort, aber der Besitzer war sehr unhöflich und ich fand seine Art wirklich unangenehm. Außerdem habe ich 13 Euro für 5 Gambas bezahlt :(( In einem Land wie Deutschland, wo das Essen oft schlecht ist, sollte das günstiger sein. Sucht euch bitte ein anderes Restaurant. Meine Freundin wurde dort auch ständig angestarrt.

Ich habe keine vollständige Mahlzeit gegessen, sondern war nur wegen der Tapas und Sangria dort... Die Sangria war köstlich, aber für die kleinen Portionen verlangen sie viel zu viel Geld (5 Garnelen kosteten 13 Euro)...

Sehr freundlicher Service, wirklich leckeres Essen und eine große Auswahl an glutenfreien Optionen. Es gab sogar glutenfreies Brot für die Aioli.

Schönes Lokal. Kleine Tapa's verfügbar. Es könnte mehr vegetarische Gerichte geben, aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Wer schon einmal in Spanien war wird sich hier nicht wohl fühlen……. Service super freundlich…. Aber die Tapas haben nichts mit Spanien zu tun…… Auch Paella nicht empfehlenswert

Tolles Essen, super Auswahl, klasse Preis-Leistung. Im Sommer kann man gemütlich im Hinterhof sitzen, das ist super. Nur zu empfehlen!

Recommend...if you don't have high expectations...Yes They have a lot to choose from when it comes to tapas... But that's it... Other than that, the menu doesn't offer much. Prices already raised. Staff friendly and attentive.

EDIT- Two years ago I wrote a review giving 5 stars to this restaurant. Whenever it has come up, I have recommended this place to my friends and acquaintances... but unfortunately I can't continue doing so. About 3-4 weeks ago I went with a friend to dinner and the disappointment was monumental. We ordered meatballs, fried cheese and croquettes. The cheese was good, but the croquettes were strange, the chicken ones tasted like curry and the ham ones, well the ham was neither there nor expected. What was really alarming were the meatballs. I had to ask the waiter what meat they were because they were dry, the meat was like a strange dough and the sauce was quite average and also if they had changed the cook. Prices are added to the problem of quality. I have no problem paying dearly, when a product deserves it, but paying 10 Euros for 4 bad meatballs, which before were 5 meatballs; €10 for 5 mini croquettes... It's a shame because it really was a restaurant that I really liked. Old Review: "As a Spaniard I am reluctant to go to Spanish restaurants, but to my surprise this restaurant is excellent. I can't say anything but, the size of the portions is adequate and the presentation is good. The prices are in line with the average that is usually paid in Germany in a restaurant. The sangria was very good and they have Estrella Galicia on tap, although this one, unfortunately, was not cold."

It was our first time there and we really enjoyed it. The tapas were delicious and we had a lovely evening in a good atmosphere. What was unfortunately not good was the service. We sat for 45 minutes with our empty plates, and when we reordered, something was forgotten. The waiter often walked past the table empty-handed...that shouldn't be happening.

We were there on a Thursday and were happy to have reserved. Full house, which was a challenge for the kitchen and service team. Despite a bit of chaos, always a friendly team and great tapas times. Food is very good and reasonably priced. However, acoustics are a bit difficult when it's as crowded as ours.

The restaurant was well attended. It was my first time here and I ate paella and drank two different open Spanish white wines (there are also some from Bergstrasse on offer). I was very satisfied with the service, drink and food and will come again.

Why this restaurant is so hyped, I have no idea. Average at best. You sit nicely in a pleasant atmosphere, the service is very accommodating and friendly. The tapas we had, and there is nothing else there, were nothing special. Kind of average, no outliers up or down. The wines didn't blow me away either. So no reason for me to come back.

Food without salt and tasteless. Only the french fries were very good. The service was kind. Even the portions do not justify the high prices. I do not recommend it

Delicious. Alkes fresh. Also nice to sit outside when the weather is good. When it's full, it's quite loud inside. Good selection for vegans too. Large portions, very good quality. We were just a bit irritated yesterday. On Monday we had a paella with short grain rice, nice and firm to the bite, and yesterday we got one with "normal rice", still tasty but also a little mushy.

Had a paella with sepia ink, i.e. h. she is black. It's strange at first glance, but it tastes good. Dessert was good too.

Were there for the first time today and I've wanted to try Toka Madera for a while. The service was very friendly and quick, our name was even on the reserved sign at the table, the owner (?) was also very nice and bought us a schnapps at the end. The food was very tasty and served hot. We only added a little salt, but everything tasted good and you could tell that they were original Spanish tapas, made ourselves and you could get extra bread or we were asked if we wanted some with it. The sangria was also great and really strong😁. Spanish ambience with guitar on the wall and large candlesticks and Spanish music in the background. For our taste, the light could have been a little more dimmed or "dimmier", that would be a small tip, the atmosphere would then simply be a little more comfortable/warmer. Otherwise we were satisfied and would definitely come back. Recommended!

I can highly recommend him, Spain is very close and excellent. Food really excellent, service attentive and friendly, atmosphere nice. All of this together makes a visit a must and a regular restaurant for us now.

We were here for dinner and were more than satisfied! We ordered different tapas. Everything was bright and fresh. It was also positive that there were a lot of vegetarian options. You should definitely reserve a place for dinner. That wasn't our last visit ☺️

Solid tapas bar with excellent service - and you can even sit outside! Very easy walk from the train station - that's why we were there. Our masses of luggage were accepted with understanding

Delicious Spanish food in a cozy atmosphere. There are delicious Spanish starters such as olives, Manchego, artichokes, jamon etc. and also great paella in different variations. We went for dinner and had made a reservation, which is highly recommended given the high occupancy. The drinks were okay, the warm tapas are particularly recommended. From our point of view, the cold tapas plate for two people, which was rather disappointing in terms of quantity, was more expandable. In general, we found the food to be ambitiously priced. The service was extremely friendly and left nothing to be desired. The ambience didn't entirely convince us; it seemed a bit plain and not really authentic. All in all, we liked it, although our high expectations were not met due to the many great reviews.

Like a short trip to Spain - it was a nice little break.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, eher familiär aber sehr sehr freundlich. Das Lokal ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig Deko. Es macht einen sehr ordentlichen und sauberen Eindruck. Über Geschmack kann man sich bekanntlich streiten, aber ich glaube, dass die Küche schon weiß wie Spanisch gekocht wird. Uns hat es jedenfalls sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir empfehlen eine Reservierung gerne auch drei Stunden vorher wie bei uns.

An sich war das Essen solide. Wir haben ein Tapas bekommen, das wir nicht bestellt hatten, aber sowas passiert. Das man es heimlich ohne Hinweis auf unsere Rechnung packt ist aber nicht ok! Leider bemerkte ich das erst später. Update: Wir wurden darüber informiert das wir das falsche Tapas bekommen haben und gefragt ob wir das, was wir eigentlich bestellt hatten, noch möchten. Die Falschlieferung war zu dem Zeitpunkt bereits angegessen! Das wir die Falschlieferung zahlen sollten wurde definitiv nicht erwähnt. Hätte man uns das gesagt, wäre das ok gewesen. Hat man aber nicht. da muss man offensichtlich die Kundenkommunikation verbessern

Bereits zum zweiten Mal hier eingekehrt. Die Tapas sind super lecker und gestern musste es dann eine Paella sein. Wir hatten zwei Tapas als Vorspeise und Paella für zwei Personen bestellt. Sehr lecker, die Portion ist riesig bemessen.

Das Essen schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Die Tapa Portionen waren in Präsentation und Quantität lobenswert. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut. Der Service war sehr freundlich, schien aber etwas überfordert. Der Außenbereich wirkt improvisiert und teilweise etwas unaufgeräumt. Hier besteht deutlicher Verbesserungsbedarf.

Hervorragendes Essen und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Die Paella war weltklasse und die Wartezeit darauf, wie angekündigt, ca. 40 Minuten, die wir mit Brot, Oliven und sehr gutem Aioli überbrückt haben. Die Tapas schmeckten unserer Begleitung ebenfalls sehr gut, wobei die Schweinebäckchen schon beim Ansehen Appetit gemacht haben und extrem zart waren. Draußen zu sitzen wäre sicherlich noch schöner gewesen, aber was soll's - drinnen ist es auch gemütlich - aber halt auch lauter, wenn es voll ist.

Die Qualität ist perfekt, die Bedienung war recht bemüht(der arme Kerl, musste alles selbst stemmen) der Gastgarten ist ok, würde aber Anpassungen vornehmen wollen Fazit: ich empfehle natürlich weiter!

Wir haben in netter Atmosphäre lecker gegessen, würde ich jederzeit wieder hingehen. Die Bedienung war etwas verpeilt, hat das aber durch Freundlichkeit wieder wett gemacht.

Sehr gute mediterrane Küche, aufmerksame Bedienung, familiäre Atmosphäre. Insbesondere hervorheben möchte ich die Fischgerichte, die immer ausgezeichnet sind. Auch Familienfeiern wurden perfekt organisiert.

Bisher waren wir zwei mal dort. Beim ersten mal wurden wir auf der Terrasse sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war top. Beim zweiten mal waren wir sehr spät, eigentlich war die Küche schon geschlossen. Trotzdem bekamen wir noch sehr leckere Pizza und wurden sehr sehr freundlich bedient.
