Bin immer wieder begeistert! Sehr leckeres Essen in großen Portionen!

Sie haben es mit den Allergenen total vermasselt. Ich hatte bei der Reservierung angegeben, dass mein Kollege eine Pilzallergie hat. Er hat die Kellnerin bei der Bestellung extra darauf hingewiesen. Trotzdem bekam er ein Gericht mit Pilzen. Das Essen war wirklich fantastisch. Es hat super geschmeckt. Aber ich kann einem Restaurant so einen groben Fehler mit den Allergenen nicht verzeihen. Wir werden dort nicht mehr essen.

Wirklich leckeres veganes Essen. Alles gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Schönes Ambiente. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Komme immer wieder gerne.

Essen war lecker und die Wartezeit angemessen. Wir waren bereits um 17:30 Uhr dort, als noch nicht viele Gäste im Restaurant waren. Leider war der Service enttäuschend. Ich hatte den Tisch bereits einen Tag vorher reserviert. Dass ausschließlich Barzahlung möglich ist, erfuhren wir erst durch einen Hinweis an der Eingangstür. In den Rezensionen habe ich anschließend gelesen, dass dies offenbar bereits seit über einem Jahr so ist. Um bezahlen zu können, musste mein Mann extra noch Geld am Geldautomaten abheben. Das empfand ich als sehr ärgerlich. Besonders enttäuschend fand ich den Umgang mit dem Geburtstag meines Mannes. Ich hatte bereits bei der Reservierung in den Bemerkungen darauf hingewiesen. Vor Ort sprach ich außerdem eine Mitarbeiterin an und fragte, ob es ein Dessert gäbe, zu dem man eine Kerze stellen könnte. Sie zeigte mir die Dessertkarte. Auf meine Nachfrage, welches Dessert sich dafür eignen würde, meinte sie, vielleicht die gebackenen Bananen. Als ich fragte, ob es möglich wäre, eine Kerze dazu zu bekommen, wurde mir gesagt, dass keine Kerzen vorhanden seien. Anschließend zuckte die Mitarbeiterin mit den Schultern und ging einfach weg. Es gab weder eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit noch ein freundliches Wort oder eine Gratulation zum Geburtstag. So etwas habe ich bisher noch nie erlebt. Sehr schade. Nach dieser Erfahrung möchten wir nicht noch einmal kommen und können das Restaurant leider auch nicht weiterempfehlen. Kundenorientierung: leider Fehlanzeige.

10/10, richtig lecker und das Essen war schnell da 🥰

Wirklich sehr leckeres Essen. Und dazu eine große Auswahl, sodass man sich nicht entscheiden kann, was man nehmen soll. Dazu nette Bedienung und angemessene Preise. Ich kann vor allem die gedämpften Teigtaschen als Vorspeise empfehlen, auf die ich mich immer freue, wenn ich dort essen gehe. Ich war auch bereits mehrmals mit Nicht-Veganern dort, und auch diese waren von dem Essen begeistert.

Wir haben einen Buddha Bowl gegessen. Der war sehr lecker. Die Portion war genau richtig. Das Personal ist freundlich. Alles war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Gerne wieder.

Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, die Auswahl ist genial. Es war an diesem Abend eher wenig los, darum ist es für mich nicht verständlich, dass sich keine der Bedienungen (3 haben gearbeitet) ab und zu in den oberen Stock verirrt hat, um nach weiteren Wünschen zu fragen (dessert, Getränke,...) Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war völlig in Ordnung, allerdings dauerten die Getränke gefühlt ewig. Fazit: fürs Essen komme ich unbedingt wieder, aber im Service müssen sie noch ordentlich nachbessern.

Ich war absolut begeistert von meinem Besuch im Vegana Mannheim! 🌱✨ Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist kreativ, abwechslungsreich und zeigt, wie vielfältig vegane Küche sein kann. Alles, was wir bestellt haben, war frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich hervorragend und wunderschön angerichtet. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die freundliche und aufmerksame Atmosphäre man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Auch für Nicht-Veganer ist das Restaurant definitiv einen Besuch wert, weil die Qualität und der Geschmack einfach überzeugen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt ebenfalls, und die Zutaten wirken hochwertig und nachhaltig ausgewählt. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann das Vegana Mannheim uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! 🌿💚

Sehr leckere Speisen, freundlicher Service, gerne wieder

Wir sind zufällig vorbei geschlendert und eingekehrt. Wir waren begeistert. Wir waren überrascht, wie köstlich die Speisen sind. Uns hat es hervorragend geschmeckt!

Saß draußen, Service hat ewig gedauert, musste 2 mal reingehen zum bescheid geben. Sommerrollen waren auseinandergeschnitten und Reispapier viel zu hart/trocken. Tofu mit Zitronengras und Sesamreis: schlechte Paprika im Essen, gefärbter Reis mit ein paar Sesamkörnern. Als schrafe Soße nur Siracha, geht gar nicht. Bei Anmerkung kam nur ein halbherziges "Sorry" und nicht mal Rabatt. Dafür vieeeel zu teuer. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Die selbstgemachten Limonaden waren eher schlicht gehalten. Die Gerichte hingegen waren sehr lecker! Die Vorspeisen – gebackene Austernpilze und gedämpfte Teigtaschen (leider etwas zu wenig Inhalt, weil sie einfach zu köstlich waren) – boten durch die Tamarindensoße einen wunderbaren Ausgleich zu sonst eher schweren Vorspeisen. Ich bestellte ein solides Currygericht und fühlte mich geschmacklich direkt nach Südvietnam versetzt: eine gelungene Kombination aus Schärfe und Süße. Der Tofu war unfassbar weich – insgesamt ein rundes Gericht! Meine Freundin wählte ein erfrischendes Gericht mit Reisnudeln und Seitan, ebenfalls sehr köstlich. Für Vegetarier und Veganer ist es ein ausgesprochen gutes Restaurant, um die vietnamesische Küche näher kennenzulernen.

Alles vegan:) Essen war super super lecker!! Hatten Sushi zur Vorspeise und dann jeweils ein Hauptgericht. Alles hatte die perfekte Schärfe und es waren sehr große Portionen. Würden immer wieder herkommen:) Selbst meine nicht-Vegane war Freundin war begeistert.

Große vegane Vielfalt - echt top. :) Ich hatte Sesamreis mit Curry-Kokos-Soße und Seitan-Hühnchen. War alles soweit lecker, bis auf die Soße, die war leider eher wie eine Suppe, viel zu dünn. Das Gemüse war etwas zu bissfest. Die Tempura Rolls waren lecker. Sowie die Rippchen waren gut, kamen dem Orignal sehr nahe. Das Ambiente ist sehr asiatisch und boho angehaucht, echt schick :) Ein Kritikpunkt: Die Stühle sind leider nicht vegan :( … !

Wir waren heute Sushi essen und es war mega lecker! Bedienungen sind auch sehr nett, werden gerne wieder kommen und was neues probieren.

Endlich habe ich dieses vietnamesische Restaurant in Mannheim ausprobiert, das ich schon ewig besuchen wollte – und es war eine absolute Überraschung! Als Vegetarierin war es so beruhigend, rein vegetarische Gerichte auf der Speisekarte zu sehen; ich konnte endlich ohne Bedenken bestellen, worauf ich Lust hatte! ‼️ Die Lage ist super praktisch und leicht zu finden… 🔸 Frühlingsrollen: Schon beim Servieren war ich von der goldbraunen, knusprigen Hülle begeistert. Ein Bissen und man spürt den befriedigenden Crunch, gefolgt von einer reichhaltigen und geschmackvollen Füllung. In die dazugehörige Sauce getaucht, waren sie einfach himmlisch! 🔸 Avocado-Sushi: Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass vietnamesisches Sushi so gut sein kann! Die Avocado war frisch und cremig, der Geschmack insgesamt erfrischend und überhaupt nicht fettig, und sie lag sehr leicht im Mund. 🔸 Gedünstetes Gemüse 🥟: Auch das verdient Lob! Dünne Haut, reichlich Füllung und perfekt gewürzt. Meine Familie konnte problemlos eine ganze Portion alleine aufessen. Der Dämpfeinsatz war klein und niedlich. 🔸 Gemüsesalat: Die Portion war unglaublich großzügig! Eine riesige Schüssel, gefüllt mit frittierten Krabbenchips am Boden. Die Präsentation war umwerfend, das Gemüse frisch und knackig, ein unschlagbares Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und absolut fotogen. Einziger Minuspunkt: Das Rindfleisch war etwas süßlich, aber das hat mich nicht davon abgehalten, es zu lieben, haha ​​🤣 ❤️ Was uns aber noch mehr berührt hat, war der Service. Die Mitarbeiter waren herzlich und aufmerksam, erkundigten sich aktiv nach unserem Wohlbefinden und fragten, ob uns die einzelnen Gerichte schmeckten. Wir fühlten uns wirklich gut aufgehoben. Der einzige Nachteil war, dass nur Bargeld akzeptiert wurde 💰, keine Kreditkarten. Aber das war okay, es hat meinen Genuss nicht beeinträchtigt 😍. Das Ambiente ist fantastisch, die Preise und Portionen sind angemessen, und für ein rein vegetarisches Restaurant, das so lecker ist, würde ich definitiv immer wiederkommen! Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die vegetarisches Essen lieben oder etwas Neues ausprobieren möchten!

Sehr leckeres veganes Sushi, mir hat übrigens die Currysuppe (Vorspeise) sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Frühlingsrollen sind eine absolute Empfehlung!

Das Essen und der Service waren tadellos. Mein einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre, die Barzahlungspflicht aufzuheben und Kredit- und Debitkarten zu akzeptieren.

Wir waren kürzlich im Vegana essen und hatten insgesamt ein sehr angenehmes Erlebnis, das ich mit 4,4 von 5 Punkten bewerten würde. Wir begannen mit Kao Hap (Gyoza) und Cha Gio (Frühlingsrollen), die beide absolut köstlich waren. Die Aromen waren harmonisch aufeinander abgestimmt und alles perfekt zubereitet – eindeutig das Highlight unseres Essens. Als Hauptgang bestellten wir die Ca Ri Bowl und die Udon Bowl. Beide Gerichte waren sättigend und schön angerichtet, auch wenn sie nicht ganz so herausragend waren wie die Vorspeisen. Wir probierten außerdem die Mango-Limonade, die erfrischend war und hervorragend zum Essen passte. Insgesamt ein gelungenes Esserlebnis mit einigen wirklich herausragenden Vorspeisen. Definitiv einen Besuch wert, besonders für Fans von Gyoza und Frühlingsrollen!

Ich liebe diesen Laden. Aber ich kam um 22:15 Uhr und wurde nicht bedient. Ich wollte nur Tee. Vielleicht hätte ich mehr bekommen. Aber es ist schade, weil ich diesen Laden so mag.

Einfach himmlisch! Die Teller mit den Vorspeisen waren so leer, dass wir sie am liebsten alle aufgegessen hätten. Und als wir unsere Hauptgerichte nicht mehr schafften, durften wir sie mit nach Hause nehmen. So gut ist das Essen! Die Fotos in den Bewertungen können Sie getrost ignorieren. Nur eines sollten Sie beachten: Bringen Sie Bargeld mit. Für 30 Dollar pro Person werden Sie pappsatt sein.

Die Cà Ri Bowl mit knuspriger Seitan-Ente war sehr lecker.

A delicious restaurant with a completely vegan menu – something different and definitely worth a visit. The ambiance is lovely, and its location in Mannheim's city center makes it easily accessible. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were friendly, though some seemed a bit stressed and therefore somewhat curt. Nevertheless, it was a good experience overall.

Everything was perfect, including the very good vegan food. I do find it a bit pricey, but it's filling. The vegan "ribs" are really great, but you have to like the sauce – it's very, very sweet. It tastes almost like pure sweet and sour sauce, but it's still very tasty.

Delicious. Unfortunately, no card payments (!?!)

Hard for me to give 4 stars, even though I come here at least once a month. The interior is beautiful and the staff are kind. Foodwise: main dishes are great. The curry with rice and seitan is a solid 10/10, same for the udon. Sushi options are also recommendable, and the homemade lemonade is refreshing and worth it. Unfortunately, the appetizers(Vorspeisen) are bland and lack flavor. Some other main dishes I tried were mediocre. Overall, I still recommend this place and will definitely come back.

A very, very delicious and stylish vegan restaurant... everything is fresh and truly tasty in every vegan variation... friendly service and a harmonious atmosphere complete the overall picture... truly excellent... we will come again.

Excellent selection of vegan dishes. We've been there twice already and tried something different each time. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The only minor drawback: they don't accept card payments.

Card payments have been unavailable for months. During our visit on December 27, 2025, we only received a full receipt upon request. TSE data was missing, and the "security device" was down. I will not be visiting this business again, especially since they now also received a 7% VAT discount (on food). A sign on the door saying "Card payments temporarily unavailable" will serve as a reminder.

I always enjoy coming here; my favorite dish is the sesame rice with the mushroom and seitan casserole. Other favorites include the schnitzel with udon noodles and the various sushi platters. Unfortunately, some dishes are overpriced (mainly the appetizers; once, I was served half a lukewarm avocado, still in its skin, with some salsa for €7). However, the main courses are almost always delicious and worth the price. I would recommend it, even to non-vegans. :) (Note: In my experience, they only accept cash!)

Best Vietnamese restaurant in town, good service, friendly environment

We went there spontaneously for the first time – lovely, cozy atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service, and last but not least: delicious food. We will definitely come back.

We've been sitting here for two hours with just an appetizer, which arrived relatively quickly but was far too expensive for the quality. After waiting an hour and a half without any food, our order finally arrived! The udon noodles were inedible. The sauce was awful, the vegetables weren't anything special, and the value for money was disastrous. After our visit, we can only say: go to Le Lotus at the train station in Mannheim! The only (minimal) positive aspects were the service and the fact that we discovered we could request a price reduction due to the long wait, which we didn't do because of the free drinks. We did receive a small credit on the final bill, but that didn't make up for the rest!

The car apparently belongs to the owner. The business is doing well. Unfortunately, there are some drafts in certain areas. The food is good. Excellent value for money.

Absolutely delicious and a great selection. Even for meat eaters, the menu offers very good alternatives.

It's truly incredibly beautiful here. The food is so good that I'd come from another city just to eat the duck here, which I've been missing ever since going vegan. I wish they had stir-fried noodles; paired with the perfect duck they serve here, it would be the best thing that could happen to me. The restrooms are so-so, but clean, so I really can't complain. Overall, I love it here and would come back anytime, if only for how realistic the meat alternatives are.

The atmosphere was very cool and inviting, my partner and I had high hopes when we sat down. The service was fine, a bit cold but there may have been a big enough language barrier (I speak a bit of German but our server did not seem fluent in German and didn't speak English) to explain that. When we got our food there was an odd smell that accompanied it and after a few bites we were both very unimpressed, if not a little disgusted, with both the smell and the taste. After several bites each our appetites had been sufficiently lost, we waived our server down and asked to pay. Our server did not seem curious at all as to why we were leaving so soon, happily took money and made change. This was some of the worst food we've ever had. There are much better all vegan restaurant options very nearby.

Delicious food, very friendly staff, and a really lovely atmosphere. We've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended in Mannheim! It's best to reserve in advance.

There's nothing to complain about, except that you can't possibly be hungry enough to eat there. Edit: Unfortunately, there are a few things that significantly lower my 5-star rating from a while back. We ate there again yesterday. We asked twice for water for our dog before my husband offered to get the bowl himself. If there's a language barrier, you shouldn't just nod in agreement and then do nothing, but rather get someone to help. Unfortunately, the bowl that arrived was completely filthy, with actual chunks of food stuck in it. Dogs can transmit bacteria to each other! My husband then had to clean the bowl. Despite the delicious food, we're now also dissatisfied with the restaurant's hygiene, as we both felt quite unwell this morning. The restroom there still hasn't been repaired in at least a year: the door rattles incredibly loudly, the door handles are broken, and the faucet is disgustingly calcified. I also don't know what's going on with the card reader, which has apparently been broken for at least a year, so unfortunately you can only pay in cash. Overall, we're disappointed with our former favorite restaurant. The staff's overwork is often evident in the evenings, when mistakes are quite common. It's much more pleasant there at lunchtime.

The food was tasty, unfortunately the only positive aspect of the visit. The wait for the food was over 90 minutes, and the appetizer was forgotten. Other tables also had to wait a very long time for their food. The service and kitchen seemed disorganized and a bit overwhelmed. Even though the diners were waiting ages for their food, they were still processing takeout orders the whole time. Overall, very disappointing.

We had the vegan seitan summer rolls as a starter, very tasty!! The vegan seitan duck with udon was delicious, and the mushroom sauce with assorted mushrooms was also good! 🍄‍🟫 Great for all vegans or people who simply want to try something new ☺️ The two of us paid about €45.

Very fresh and surprisingly creatively seasoned and combined. I'm thrilled with the outstanding flavor. Unfortunately, the main course arrived very quickly after the soup. However, I'm not deducting any points for that. Highly recommended!

We went to Vegana yesterday for my mother's birthday and had a really lovely evening. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and stylish, and the service is friendly. Most of the food was really good: The udon bowl with crispy tempura seitan "duck" was excellent, as was the fried tofu with pepperoni, lemongrass, and sesame rice. The tapas platter for two was the perfect portion. The fries were also super crispy—my little brother would have preferred regular ketchup. However, the Vietnamese seitan beef salad wasn't really to our liking: too much cabbage, hardly any seitan, and we could barely find the peanuts. Nevertheless, it was a great experience overall. We (even the non-vegans in our group) would definitely come back :)

Super delicious, plentiful, AND ALL VEGAN! 👌🏻 Eight months ago, this was my review. 👆🏻 I finally had the chance again today. And there's still only one "problem": there's SO much choice, and everything sounds so delicious. I'll have to come back quite a few more times before I've tried everything. 🤩 Still highly recommended, in my opinion even for people who aren't vegan. It's a shame I can only give 5 stars.

Vegana is a wonderful restaurant with lovingly prepared, purely plant-based dishes. The food is fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious – you can tell that it's cooked with heart. The homemade curries and the baked banana are especially recommended! The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasantly quiet and cozy. The value for money is also excellent. I will definitely be back – a must for anyone who wants to eat healthy and delicious food!

Good food, but completely overwhelmed and untrained staff. We were there on November 8th, and the staff forgot about us. After 100 minutes, we inquired and finally received "at least" half of our order. Empty drinks were ignored. The forced apology sounded like empty words. The service at neighboring tables was even worse in some cases. Some people had to leave the restaurant without any food at all. Definitely not recommended, despite the tasty food.

I've eaten at this restaurant many times. It's usually very busy on weekends, and you might have to wait a bit longer for your food. However, the food is delicious, and the staff are always very attentive. You should be understanding in this situation. It's also best to go during the week. I will definitely come back and recommend the restaurant to my friends.

Highly recommended. I went there for lunch with a colleague. I had the udon bowl with seitan and it was fantastic. Very attentive, friendly service, great atmosphere.

The service and the ambiance were perfectly fine. However, the food was a real disappointment. The ingredients were basically okay, but the "sauce" made everything taste like MSG and an excessive amount of salt. I had already decided against the vegan meat substitute. It was just a deep-fried, seasoned mush. Our companion, however, quite enjoyed her meal, even though their dishes were seasoned in a very similar way. The price was reasonable by today's standards. Parking across the street for two hours costs an additional 9 euros. In summary, it unfortunately didn't suit my taste.

Whether the food is good and the service friendly depends heavily on the team working that day. They couldn't or wouldn't really explain why we weren't allowed to eat upstairs for the second time (while others were). Furthermore, they only accept cash. We definitely won't be going back.

Finally, a vegetarian menu where you can simply choose. Very tasty. The appetizer platter is especially recommended. The spring rolls are a bit different and excellent. The only thing to note about the sushi is that it's served with a lot of Japanese mayonnaise, which not everyone likes. It would be better to use it to decorate the plate rather than pouring it over the food.

Great menu selection, great taste

Update from October 19th: Yesterday I was at Vegana again, and the service was first-class; it seems something has changed. The food was excellent, as usual. The food is excellent and keeps me coming back. While the service is very friendly, I've unfortunately had several experiences with it being chaotic, orders getting lost or taken incorrectly, and dishes not being cleared. For example, the main course arrived and the starter dishes hadn't been cleared away. We had to do it ourselves to make room. I find this a real shame because the vegan concept is great, but the overall experience suffers due to the chaotic flow.

We had the sushi platter for two people. It was a lot and very rich. The soy sauce and pickled ginger are very small and have to be requested separately. The wasabi is super mild and not enough for that. The staff speaks little, smiles a lot, and Hinz responds to criticism in their own way. The ambiance is very stylish and pleasant. The furniture is a bit worn.

Tried Vegana in Mannheim — nice atmosphere and lovely decor, but the food was just okay. Nothing special, and honestly, I wouldn’t really recommend it.

I've eaten there a few times, even as a meat eater. The vegan food is good, and I especially enjoyed the sushi. Unfortunately, there are problems with ordering. I showed photos of the desired dish several times, but never got what was in the picture. That's a shame, because otherwise I would have continued going there. Three stars for the quality of the food, minus for the communication and execution of the order.

We’ve already been to Vegana Vietnamese Restaurant in Mannheim three times — and we keep coming back for a reason! The food is incredibly delicious every single time — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The coconut curry and spring rolls are our absolute favorites ✨ The place has such a cozy, modern vibe and the staff are always super friendly. Definitely one of our favorite spots in Mannheim!

Very tasty, friendly service, no wait time, my companion and I were completely satisfied. We were surprised by the entire presentation and the lovingly detailed arrangement of the food and drinks. The price/performance ratio was more than reasonable! We'd be happy to come back :)
