Glückstein in Mannheim

Today, the two of us went to Glücksstein for the first time because it was recommended to us. I was very impressed with the Korean pancake starter. They were so delicious, I would have liked more than two. For my main course, I had the bowl, which was beautifully presented and filled with a wide variety of ingredients. The homemade iced tea and chai tea were also really delicious, and I was so full that I didn't try dessert. It didn't look like much to me at first (I'm a glutton, haha), but I was full, and my partner was also very happy with his meal. You have to read carefully to understand that there are various food options throughout the day, and the full menu isn't available until the evening. I understand the concept well, though, since there are lots of students and others around who would rather have a snack beforehand. I think it's great that there's now a meat-free restaurant here that cooks really fresh food and doesn't just serve vegan, ready-made schnitzels like so often (we're both vegan and happy that the menu has expanded). The food was really well-balanced and fresh; I'm looking forward to the next time.

I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm not a vegetarian myself, but I was looking for a good restaurant in Mannheim with my son, who is a vegetarian. And I have to say: I'm thrilled! We had hummus with olive oil for starters. After that, I chose the Glückstein Bowl, my son the spaghetti carbonara, and his mother the baked cauliflower with sweet potato mash. We finished with non-alcoholic cocktails made with gin – of course, alcoholic versions are also available. The food is consistently of excellent quality. The portions are just the right size, and the value for money is absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is pleasantly bright, and you can also sit outside very comfortably, and since there's no main road nearby, it's also pleasantly quiet. All in all, a real recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy truly good vegetarian or vegan food – without boring, uninspired dishes. There's truly something for everyone here, and the food is simply outstanding.

We went there for dinner last night. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was truly delicious and had the charm of vegan cuisine. Fine food, beautifully presented. The wine list is excellent. The value for money is on the higher side, reflecting the quality, but if you want good food, you're happy to pay more. Although the kitchen was understaffed, everything went extremely well for us. We'd be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, the dishes didn't live up to our expectations. The food was neither fresh nor tasty – the lasagna was unfortunately too salty. The potato salad with the Maultaschen was hot and unseasoned. Hopefully, this was just due to the high occupancy, but under the circumstances, I would advise against a visit. While the ambiance was quite nice, it was also crowded and loud. The service was good, but overwhelmed and accordingly took a long time.

A great restaurant with a covered and lovingly designed beer garden and delicious food at reasonable prices. There's a wide selection of beers and wine from the local winery. The self-service concept is fantastic. The friendly staff completes the experience. Be sure to try the homemade lemonade! And if you're coming with a camper, you can park on the campsite at the entrance to the village and enjoy food and drinks.

Only love for my favorite restaurant. Great food, super friendly service, super cozy atmosphere. Tip: Reserve a table, because others agree. The seasonal variations are amazing, and I highly recommend trying the appetizers and desserts as well. If you want a huge selection or absolutely love your schnitzel, this is the wrong place. Absolutely fair value for money, I've always had something special here! Bonus points for the sustainable, reusable packaging when the portion is bigger than you're hungry.

A wonderful, relaxed, unfussy, and honest atmosphere, first and foremost due to the service. The food was wonderful and very special, with slightly different dishes that piqued your curiosity. Everyone enjoyed it immensely. We were incredibly happy and will definitely be back.

For me, Glückstein is THE highlight when it comes to plant-based cuisine in Mannheim. I have tried many different dishes and was always amazed at how delicious it was. For me, the overall package of delicious and filling dishes, combined with creativity in both the composition of the ingredients and the presentation, suits me.

The undisputed number 1 among vegan restaurants in Mannheim. The food is not only delicious (in addition to the menu, there are daily specials), but also designed with sustainability in mind. You can always find a parking space nearby, the service was also very nice and the portions were just right. The price is also absolutely OK and worth every euro. Unconditional recommendation, we now only go there when we are in Mannheim.

I found my vegan restaurant in Mannheim. The food was delicious, especially the carbonara, the lasagna was also really good but a little too soft for my taste and not quite seasoned enough. I would also have been happy about a cheese alternative, but I understand if you forego it. The portion size and the price are fully justified! Super tasty, hopefully again soon.

Incredibly good! We invited our business partners - both non-vegan - there. Everyone was absolutely thrilled! 🤩 We had two different starters, four different main courses and two desserts and everything was extremely tasty and well prepared across the board. I can fully recommend the food and service. It's a shame that the restaurant is very small and you have to like people. You sit very close to them 😅

Really great little restaurant in the Lindenhof. Super pleasant atmosphere and very attentive service. Very accommodating and friendly, always keeping an eye on everything. I was there spontaneously and the restaurant was full, but the waitress set me up a seat at the bar. The food was very tasty (I had the spagetti carbonara and a lemon tart for dessert), the atmosphere there was also very relaxed and relaxed and the service was also very courteous and friendly. We visited this restaurant for the first time and absolutely loved it. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, and the dishes were served at just the right intervals. The restaurant is small, but very cozy and harmonious with the overall concept. With a bit of luck you can find a parking space on the street or in the side streets. The food was excellent - taste of the highest quality, beautifully presented and served in generous portions. Overall, this restaurant is one of the best we have visited so far. Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back!

Very small shop, you can hardly get into the "back" part of the "restaurant", when all the tables are occupied there is an incredibly loud background noise. The service was very friendly, the food was pretty good, but was it worth the wait of over an hour?? Everyone has to decide for themselves :-)

Food was very tasty, lunch dish fennel with oranges and green pea farinata. There would have been a salad as a side dish. Since I do this for health reasons, e.g. Since I can't eat at the moment, I asked if I could leave it out. Unfortunately, I was not offered an alternative or discount, which I find very unfortunate. Service was also rather unfriendly for my taste.

Very nice and relaxed cafe with friendly service, delicious food in large portions at fair prices. Everything is vegan and there is a daily special with salad for 12.80. Food was brought quickly and was beautifully presented. Bathrooms are nice and clean.

We were at Roman Kress's Glückstein in Mannheim and celebrated our wedding anniversary there. Roman has a four-course menu on the menu, which we really enjoyed, plus a wonderful, relaxed location. We liked it very much.

I expected more from a vegan restaurant. After my regular restaurant/café had to close, I was looking for a new vegan location. The dish of the day here today was something Indian and a small salad. The salad had a lot of vinegar, but was ok. I left the main course aside, apart from some rice. It's not my taste at all. There was little cake and no desserts at all. The place is nice. The waitress was very friendly. The guests in front of my table weren't exactly behaving well.

Everything just fits here! If you eat vegan or want to try it, this is the place for you. Indescribably delicious dishes and super friendly service. We had a salad as a starter; Carbonara with smoked tofu and cashew parmesan and celery brisket with potato crunch. We can't say what we liked best because everything was so delicious. It's a shame that we're not from Mannheim and can taste more of this excellent cuisine. But we'll definitely come back. Thank you for this taste experience, which we will remember for a long time, and your warm nature.

There is no better place in Mannheim and the surrounding area if you want to eat really good, healthy and at a fair price. Simply brutally delicious and varied and always fresh and sometimes legendary :D (e.g. the lasagna). I've been a loyal customer for years and have just left the store full and happy :D

I have rarely eaten as well as I did here. The food is incredibly delicious. Even if you're not vegan, you won't miss anything here. I can't wait to try all the dishes on the menu. Also to be praised is the offering of unsweetened, in-house (and delicious) iced tea!

I really like the concept of this restaurant and the food is beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately I have to say that I was not completely satisfied on my two visits. Both the Bread Slices and the Mille Feuille disappointed me - the Bread Slices were too dry and the Mille Feuille wasn't particularly balanced in terms of taste. I had higher expectations, especially at a price of just under 20 euros per dish. I understand that quality ingredients come at a price, but in the end we weren't completely satisfied as the taste wasn't what we wanted.

Delicious vegan food. The dishes are often based on their meat-based siblings, e.g. lasagna, spaghetti carbonara, tarte flambée... The dishes are skillfully reinterpreted and the result is really good. It is advisable to reserve as space is tight and limited. Service is good and attentive. It's definitely worth a visit.

My partner and I discovered Glückstein almost a year ago. The food is fantastic. I usually take the seasonal bowl and my partner takes something from the daily menu. The service is charming and friendly.

We always enjoy coming to Glückstein, vegans and non-vegans alike will be happy here. Small but fine and very high quality card. I would recommend making a reservation, especially in winter, as Glückstein doesn't have that many seats and is now very popular and often full. Since there isn't that much space, you have to be prepared for it to be a bit louder. As always, the service was really nice, and I'm still impressed with how well she managed to serve all the tables on her own. Our food was very tasty and the value for money was definitely right here. The only suggestion for improvement: In our opinion, the "Tiramisu" had nothing to do with Tiramisu in terms of taste or consistency. It was okay in terms of taste, but because you associate the term "tiramisu" with something different, you're disappointed. But the warm brownie and pumpkin creme brulee were all the better. We'll definitely be back and our friends who don't normally follow a vegan diet were also happy with their food and the selection!

It is quite pricey and not of good quality. The cake was raw. And the lasagna isn't good either. The salad wasn't washed well so I could taste the small bits of sand in it. I spent 20 euros including the deposit (take out) and I'm still hungry and dissatisfied.

Everything is nice, nicely decorated, good service. However, I was disappointed with the food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. Rather lightly seasoned, but some (russet cabbage) are even over-seasoned. The risotto was rather bland. All in all not bad, but since you won't be full just from the main course and with a starter and possibly dessert it can easily cost 30-50 euros per person, I would have expected more from the food.

Unfortunately, once again, the main courses were cold and the portions were far too small (and we don't need huge portions). The food was also just average in quality. The chef seemed very unsympathetic and arrogant. It was very cold in the restaurant itself. The only positive thing was the really friendly girl in service. Unfortunately, my husband and I will not be coming back, even though we love vegan food. A pity.

Es war wirklich schwer, da alles sehr ansprechend war. Was mir auch positiv aufgefallen ist, die Kennzeichnung der glutenfreien Speißen! Das Essen, der Service waren top! Absolute Empfehlung! Komme sehr gerne sehr bald wieder, habe meine neue Top Adresse in Mannheim gefunden. Die Korean Pancakes waren der Hammer!

Portionen viel zu klein und Preise dafür viel zu hoch. Essen wird nicht frisch zubereitet, da z.B. die Roulade nicht komplett warm war. Scheint also alles vorgekocht zu sein, da ja auch nur eine Person in der Küche steht. Wir haben jeder eine Vor- und Hauptspeise gegessen und mussten danach noch was essen, weil man nicht satt wird. Bedienung ist freundlich, notiert die Bestellung leider nicht und bringt dann das falsche Essen. Bei 4 Essen sollte man es sich merken können oder aufschreiben. Ambiente ist okay, allerdings innen schlecht aufgeteilt und ein Tisch direkt vor der Klotür ist auch nicht gut durchdacht. Alles in allem viel mehr Schein als Sein…
