Quiet location with parking, very friendly and helpful staff, good and plentiful food.

We received a very warm welcome, and the server was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait an unusually long time for our food. From our seats, we could see directly into the kitchen and had the impression that they were quite overwhelmed. Several guests were visibly waiting impatiently, and there seemed to be a lack of organization. The food, however, was good and somewhat made up for the wait.

Every visit was worth the money. Delicious, amazing views, and friendly people.

We took a sweet break at the Zipfhäusl mountain inn on Sunday, June 15th – and were not disappointed! The apple strudel was an absolute dream: crispy pastry, wonderfully fruity filling, and perfectly balanced. The cream puff was a real highlight – a fantastic monster piece, light and creamy, and a real eye-catcher! The mixed ice cream with whipped cream was also delicious – fresh, creamy, and the whipped cream was divine – all lovingly decorated. Plus, friendly service, a great view, and a cozy atmosphere – we'd love to come back!

Great prices, great service, great view, great food. We'd go back anytime. But check the opening hours!

For years always a great service and a very good and plentiful food

A lovely place for a break with a view The restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and a very beautiful location. The terrace and beer garden are particularly noteworthy – the view is truly fantastic and invites you to linger. The Kaiserschmarrn was delicious and freshly prepared, and the accompanying hot chocolate was also very tasty – a perfect combination for a little break. The service was professional, friendly, and courteous, which made the visit very pleasant overall. A recommended stop – especially for anyone looking for a quiet rest with a beautiful view during a hike or tour.

The Zipfhäusl is worth a visit just for the fantastic view of the Watzmann, Hochkalter, and Reiteralpe mountains. You could sit in the beer garden for hours and just gaze at the view. And when the food and service are also top-notch, nothing is left to be desired. We had a salad with turkey breast strips, and it was fantastic. The salad was very varied and crunchy, and the turkey breast strips with a sesame coating were absolutely delicious. The Leberkäse (meat loaf) with fried potatoes was also very good. We'd love to come back :)

Yes, good for hikers, nice view, friendly service

After a hike along the Ramsau brine pipeline trail, we stopped at the Zipfhäusl mountain inn. The food was delicious, the schnitzels were very large, and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, card payments are not accepted. Parking is available in front of the mountain inn. From the outdoor terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama.

Very friendly service, good food at reasonable prices, and relatively quick service. And the view of the mountains is priceless.

We love going to the Zipfhäusl; the food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the view is breathtaking. There's a beautiful hiking trail behind the Zipfhäusl—what more could you want?

I've known the Zipfhäusl for five years now. A visit is a must on every vacation in the Berchtesgadener Land, as the cuisine is excellent. The steak with fried potatoes, the salad with sesame chicken, and the Kaiserschmarrn are particularly recommended. Located in the middle of the brine pipeline path, it offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a wonderful meal before or after a hike while enjoying a perfect view of the Watzmann, Hochkalter, and Reiteralpe mountains. I stayed here for three nights at Easter and was thrilled by the ambiance. Cozy and clean rooms with a view of the Ramsau mountains. Simply wonderful. My special thanks go to the "fairy godmother of the house," Ms. Gundi Hirsch. With her warm, friendly, and charming manner, she made my short stay an exclusive experience. The lavish and varied Zipfhäusl breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, from savory to sweet. Ms. Hirsch even remembered the guests' coffee preferences, so drinks were provided without a word being said. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay. I would love to come back.

We had an apple strudel which was a real treat. Very very tasty with a scoop of ice cream. Highly recommended… There is also a wonderful view from the terrace. We come by once or twice a year and will definitely continue to do so in the future. A clear recommendation

We had a wonderful last vacation dinner here, which is just down the road from our AirBnB. Food is well-prepared, plentiful, and reasonable. The wild garlic cream soup was incredibly good. Only issues--the fries weren't fresh ( frozen), and lots of flies in the dining room.

For many years this restaurant has remained true to my impression that everything is harmonious. This applies to both the atmosphere and the very good price-performance ratio. You should be there quite early in the evening as the inn closes at 8 p.m. As always, very fast and friendly service.

Such a lovingly run, magical inn. Everyone is super friendly and uncomplicated. My room was fantastically beautiful, the view was indescribable. I was looked after so nicely, the food was super tasty and more than enough. The location can't be beat. Thank you for your hospitality and thank you that it was so nice. We sat on the terrace and were pleasantly surprised. Simple but tasty food, and the service staff were friendly.

I've known the Zipfhäusel for about 45 years. The terrace offers a fantastic view in good weather. The food was and still is always excellent. I recommend the Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes). It's worth a visit any time of year.

Simply good. We got there on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. It was well attended. The waitress came to us quickly and we were quickly served food and drinks. Food was delicious (Kaiserschmarrn and cream puffs) and the service was quick and friendly. We'll be back

Very cozy, typically Bavarian restaurant, we were visiting the area. Enjoyed very tasty and plentiful food both times. Highly recommended!

Spontaneous stops and overnight stays after a strenuous day of travel and hiking in Berchtesgadener Land are ideal here during the holiday season. The restaurant with dining room and parlor are a feast for the eyes. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Classics and also vegetarian meals, snacks or delicious schnitzel or boiled beef. It's great to eat here. Great service and plenty of parking spaces round off your visit to the restaurant. In the warm season there is a beer garden with a view of the Berchtesgaden mountains that can only be described as fantastic. The restaurant is perfect after a hike or for a break with family and friends. Attention: no card payment. But the Sparkasse in Ramsau is 10 minutes away down in town. The guesthouse offers modern, high-quality rooms with a balcony and TV. A small but nice bath makes the heart beat faster. The rooms are cozy and lovingly furnished. There are rainy day board games for guests. Everything tip-top and friendly. After a restful night's sleep, the guesthouse offers a delicious breakfast that meets all preferences and you start a new day full and happy in a fantastic environment. Gladly again and again. I am still full of love for this stay.

Our absolute favorite inn in the BGL. The food is super delicious and we have already eaten the menu up and down 😀 Every dish is absolutely recommended. Price-performance ratio unbeatable. The waitresses are very friendly and on point.

The food and the ambience were excellent. The waiter who served us was terrific!!! Unfortunately, there is a point deduction for the welcome, which wasn't there! the blonde lady (waitress) was very annoyed and sulky. It's a shame, because a warm hello should be a given ;)

We came here for lunch after a short hike. The view outside of the valley and the mountains is very beautiful. The food was sufficient and very good. The service seemed a bit lackluster but was still quick, a little smile would be very nice for the guests. But overall it was really great here.

Kasspatzn are highly recommended. The coleslaw is also super crunchy and fresh. The view outside is very, very beautiful. Unfortunately the waitress wasn't in a good mood. I found this a bit of a shame because you didn't really feel like a welcome guest at the beginning. She didn't offer us the space inside either, even though everything was obviously free.

Ordered an extended one (€3.40), got a large cup of the “washing water with 3 beans” brand, paid €4.50. With a 5 note, I waited so long with the return money until I mumbled "It's fine."

Went to the Zipfhäusel on a recommendation and didn't regret it ;-) One of the best pork knuckles I have ever eaten. We ate on the balcony with a direct view of the Watzmann. Service was nice but unfortunately a bit fake. Otherwise, absolute recommendation!!

Extremely very good food! My husband loved the goulash and I especially loved the schnitzel. The staff (service) are very nice and always have an open ear for requests. The restaurant has a great outdoor terrace with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The interior is also cozy and stylish. Sanitary facilities clean. We wanted to stop on the terrace after a hike, but the staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming when looking for a place.

I had roast pork with bread dumplings and a small salad. In terms of taste, my expectations were exceeded. My wife had boiled beef with horseradish sauce. She was also very happy. Great, keep it up.

Schnitzel was great, the fried potatoes were average and not enough, the Kaiserschmarrn was okay but not outstanding. Unfortunately the service forgot about us but made an effort

We were there for dinner. A breathtaking view of the mountains! The service (a lady and a gentleman in traditional costume) were very quick, so we didn't have to wait long for our orders. All dishes on the menu are homemade and simply delicious! The prices are within today's limits (food and drinks for 2 people for €50.50). Many thanks to the Gasthaus Zipfhäuserl.

Brilliant view from the terrace of the Watzmann and the surrounding area. I can particularly recommend the salad with cheese dumplings. It's amazing in terms of taste and also nice and big. The fries are also great. We come here again and again every year to eat.

We've been there for dinner 5 times in a row now. First of all, super friendly conditions, like man like woman. The food is always excellent and lots of it. Never leave hungry. This is not a given. Very good bourgeois cuisine. We would also like to eat there the last 2 days we are here, but the friendly staff also needs some peace and quiet. I wish you my best wishes. At the end we got a schnapps and I got a scoop of vanilla on the house. I thought that was really nice. As regular customers, so to speak. The 5 stars are fully deserved.

Kaiserschmarrn had no sugar in the dough, was very flabby and not crispy at all. Not good at all. Was there 3 years ago. Has slowed down a lot. It's a shame, never again

When I'm in Berchtesgaden for rehab or on vacation, I come by here at least once. Some hiking tours start from here and at the end you can enjoy your meal here. The Bergasthof is comfortably furnished and is ideally located with a view of the Watzmann. Food is good and the portions are a good size. Staff friendly. Parking spaces are also right next to the mountain inn. Stop by

A rustic mountain inn with very friendly service and delicious food. We sat outside on the outdoor terrace and enjoyed the view of the mountains. 🏔️☀️ The mountain inn is easy to reach via the Soleleitungsweg. The hiking trail is also very easy to walk. No problem even for inexperienced hikers. We felt very comfortable and ate very tasty grilled knuckle with sauerkraut and dumplings or a Viennese schnitzel with asparagus and boiled potatoes. We'd love to come back.
