Very beautiful, very tasty We stop here every year when we go on vacation to Ramsau.

At Wachterl we particularly appreciate the quality and special selection of dishes. In addition to the classics such as cordon bleu or schnitzel, there are game specialties. Reservation recommended.

The service seemed a bit lackluster; we only received a proper greeting after the second speech. The information as to whether there was Kaiserschmarrn was also given rather annoyed. A menu had to be requested first. Despite the raisins, mistakes happen, the Kaiserschmarrn was very tasty. But I think €13.80 per person is pretty steep. We paid €36.50 for two Kaiserschmarrn, a water and a cola.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen im Gasthaus Wachterl zum Abendessen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Speisekarte war nicht zu groß aber es war für jeden etwas dabei. Von Standard Gerichten wie Schnitzel bis zu etwas ausgefallenem wie Oktopus Carpaccio. Die Bestellungen wurden schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Die Speisen hatten eine sehr tolle und frische Qualität und schmecken richtig lecker. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis bewerte ich als sehr fair und günstig. Die Mitarbeiterinnen im Service waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und hatten immer ein lächeln im Gesicht! TIP: eine Tischreservierung ist empfehlenswert! Vielen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team des Gasthauses Wachterl. Wir hatten eine sehr tolle Zeit bei euch und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Vielen Dank für die kurzweilige Zeit und die kulinarische Verwöhnung. Danke für den tollen Abend!

We had not made a reservation, which was not convenient, because of the weather it was only possible to sit inside, so it was full... but they were kind enough to let us sit at the regular table and still provide us with a good Bayerischer meal. Friendly service. Tasty food. And fair prices. Top.

Super view, super environment...

Schnitzel fried to death, staff well, friendly is different. Ambience, sat at the cat table. The people of Berchdesgarden don't seem particularly friendly, which is one more reason for us to leave after two days.

Everything looked nice when we got there. However, they only accept cash or European EC cards. No ATM available and in the middle of nowhere. Thus we had to leave without getting our meals.

Food was super tasty. Salad etc. all homemade, nothing from a can. The waitresses were very friendly and on the ball. And I can't forget the view of the mountains either☺️I'll be happy to come back.

We spontaneously came here for dinner. The friendly, attentive service assigned us a table in one of the bright, spacious dining rooms and brought us the menu straight away. Here you will find a large selection of regional, creative dishes. The food was served quickly and tasted absolutely convincing. We'd love to come back.

It's my favorite restaurant when I'm in the area at least twice a year. For me the world's best Cordon Bleu! All other dishes are also very tasty and recommended. You feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks and keep it up!

We ate here for the first time and we loved it. Friendly service, short waiting times, very tasty food (seasonal and regional), great atmosphere and view, great value for money. We will be back.

Due to the good reviews and the ambience, we visited the Wirtshaus Wachterl on our short vacation today. Service and ambience were also ok. The food, however, less so. My wife had a steak medium rare with hash browns and salad. The steak came raw but was immediately fried when asked. It can happen. The salad that came with it was watery and not fresh. I had the spare ribs with BBQ sauce. They didn't taste good and I should have known better. How do you want to offer ribs in a non-specialized restaurant in a short time. The meat was still firmly on the bone, the skin was barely peeled off, and the sauce was something that was put on after grilling. In addition, the meat didn't seem fresh. The Caleslaw salad that was offered was far from the original. So it was a disappointment for us.

Great panorama which unfortunately is ruined by the service. The operation leaves a lot to be desired; No hello, no please or thank you... just very reserved and unfriendly. The food is okay but nothing special, there is much better and more authentic cuisine nearby.

Excellent food, whether soup, venison goulash, vegetarian sweet potato gnocchi, ..... everything was great. Nice service, nice atmosphere and everything at good prices. We'll definitely come back.

Lunch was 10 out of 10, and value for money too. Unfortunately we couldn't sit on the terrace because of the weather, the view of the "tangible" mountains with powdered sugar was beautiful.

Bavarian home cooking (very tasty). It is advisable to reserve a table, as it is usually fully booked in advance. The Magentratzerl as a starter is highly recommended.

We hadn't made a reservation but still got a table for 45 minutes, the food was ordered quickly and arrived just as quickly! The staff is very friendly and makes everything possible, the Cordon Blue was very, very tasty and extremely tender! We'd love to come back at any time, you'll stay on our list!

We visit this restaurant at least once a year after a winter hike in Berchtesgadener Land. The quality and taste of the dishes offered is excellent. The side dishes can be varied as desired at no extra charge. The price-performance ratio is excellent. We will continue to visit this inn in the future.

Ein Familienbetrieb, wie man ihn sich in Küche und Service wünscht und in dem Hausgemacht Regional gelebt wird . Blitzsauber ist dann selbstverständlich. Heute lockte mich eines der Wildgerichte : Gamsfleischpflanzerl mit Kräutersaitlingen in kräftiger Wildsosse und großer Portion Butterspätzle . Zum Nachtisch kleine Creme + Espresso. Perfekt 👍

Hatten vergessen zu reservieren, und spontan noch für einen Zeitraum einen Tisch bekommen. Dazu war die Bedienung absolut zuvorkommend und das Essen unfassbar lecker! Gerne wieder ❤️

Wir hatten keinen Tisch reserviert und Glück gehabt: durften am Stammtisch Platz nehmen. Es sind Wildwochen und wir konnten genießen. Wildragout, Mufflonbraten und Wildschwein, alles incl. der Beilagen war sehr lecker.

Es gibt immer mal wieder, leider immer seltener, besondere Genusserlebnisse, im Gasthaus Wachterl durften wir Genuss erleben. Fünf Sterne vergebe ich nicht selten, deshalb sind bei diesem Restaurant fünf Sterne unfair, weil zu wenig. Es begann mit einem freundlichen Empfang. In aller Ruhe konnten wir unseren Aperitif genießen, ohne ständige Nachfrage nach weiteren Bestellungen. Als Vorspeise wählten wir den gebratenen französischen Ziegenkäse mit Zucchini-Fenchel Gemüse und Himbeerpüree. Ein köstliches Geschmackserlebnis, auch wurde uns diese Vorspeise wie selbstverständlich mit zwei Tellern und Bestecken serviert. Der Hauptgang, Hirschrücken mit Rohrnudeln in Steinpilzsoße, war perfekt: zartes, auf den Punkt gebratenes Fleisch, und eine sehr aromatische Soße. Dazu gab es einen wunderbar samtigen und vollmundigen Blauen Zweigelt, der ideale Begleiter. Auch die Nachspeise, Haselnusseis mit in Rotwein eingelegten Zwetschgen, war sehr gut. Wiederum wurden zwei Bestecke beigefügt. Ein guter Kaffee rundete das Menü ab. Schließlich war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr angemessen. Für dieses Restaurant lohnt auch ein weiterer Umweg, auch weil man es sich bei entsprechendem Wetter auf einer schönen Terrasse mit großartigem Panorama gut gehen lassen kann.

Einfach wunderschön dort. Aussicht ist ein Traum! Das Essen einfach phantastisch. Die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam.

Fenomenal gutes Essen. Wirklich ganz ausgezeichnet. Bedienungen auch sehr freundlich. Drinnan ist es schön gemütlich, die LED Beleuchtung ist meiner Meinung nach etwas fehl am Platz. Aber Insgesamt sau guad!

Ein nettes Platzerl aufm Weg, man merkt, dass da jemand in der Küche seinen Job gelernt hat. Wenn’s Wetter passt sollte man unbedingt auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf die Berg und das Tal sitzen, da machen wir gerne wieder Rast 👌

Schöner Sitzplatz auf der Terrasse, mit hervorragend, sehr netten Personal. Zwetschgendatschi war hervorragend. Als aus der Region Kommende, denkt man sich, warum kommt man nicht öfters hier vorbei?!

Ein von außen eher unscheinbar wirkendes Gebäude, aber die Terrasse bietet spektakulären Blick. Das Essen war sehr lecker und kam schnell. Das Servicepersonal war sehr nett. Absolute Empfehlung!!

Bei unseren Urlauben in Ramsau ist mindestens ein Besuch im Wachterl ein muß.

Soweit war alles gut. Freundliches Personal u gut besucht. Das Essen war gut,aber leider nicht super gut,aber zum Glück streiten sich da die Geschmäcker.... vielleicht lag es auch am ausgesuchten Gericht.

In allen Bereichen einfach nur 5***** -Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis - die Qualität - der Service - die Freundlichkeit - der Preis - einfach Spitzenklasse - allerbeste Empfehlung - Jeder der einmal da war, freut sich schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Manch andere Wirte könnten sich hier eine Scheibe abschneiden

Das beste und leckerste Essen in der Gegend. Hochwertige und ansprechende bayerische Küche. Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis ist top!

Das Essen war sehr gut, bis auf die Bortbeilage zur Suppe (1 trockene Scheibe Graubrot wie aus der Tüte), die Bedienungen absolut gestresst und haben die Hälfte vergessen. Die Lage mit der Terrasse ist schön, aber abends gibts nur bis 20 Uhr warme Küche (Samstagabend).

Alle sehr freundlich, sehr gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Sehr schöner Bergblick von der Terrasse aus. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
