Super great food, a new menu every day. It doesn't get any better. In addition, there are very fair prices. Everything is rounded off by the very, very friendly staff. Rating highly recommended.

A place that I recommend! We spent a week's vacation in Berchtesgaden and we discovered this restaurant one afternoon after a walk in Ramsau. We liked the dishes at this lunch so much that we made reservations for dinner in the evening a few days later. Everything is really delicious and the portions are generous. The welcome is really friendly. Go ahead with your eyes closed

Since it hasn't been mentioned in any reviews, I'd like to start at this point. The restaurant/tavern is very clean, from the outside terrace to the toilet (well gentlemen definitely 😅). When furnishing, great attention was paid to rural style. The menu is varied, from heavy home cooking to pizza and bourgeois. The food is set up carefully (no white plates for everything or anything like that). There was really a lot of work on the concept here! And of course the most important thing: “It was tasty” (for wheat beer drinkers: yes, it tastes good too😅) the staff was more than friendly. A small drawback is the parking situation, but that is a general problem in the region. Rarely eaten so well 😁

The pinsa and the pizza tasted really good, but this is not at all right, as there is a €1 surcharge for leaving out (!!) cheese. And that despite the fact that this vegan option was also on the menu (without this surcharge). I am very disappointed. I've been ordering my pizzas without cheese for 10 years, but I've never experienced anything like this. It's a shame because it was really tasty!

Super tasty. Service very courteous and quick. Even if the restaurant is completely full, you don't have to wait long for your order, even though everything is freshly prepared. Totally child-friendly, with a children's menu and changing facilities. Something like this is worth a lot as a family.

It doesn't work at all. We had to wait over an hour for our food even though it wasn't very busy. Other tables who ordered much later than us received their food much earlier than us. And we didn't order anything special. Then there wasn't even an apology, but in the end it was the guests' fault. The question of whether we would get a schnapps as compensation for the long wait, which in our opinion would have been the minimum, was rejected in a very unfriendly manner. And paying one euro for every small change in order is no longer the way things are. This can be done quickly with a modern ordering system, instead of just pieces of paper. It was just a disappointment. Thank you very much to the waitress S...... We will cook in our motorhome again in the future.

The portions are generous. The side salad is already from the bottom drawer in terms of quality. We have eaten here several times. The chicken breast in the salad was dry, the fish was partially undercooked in the first attempt and the ribs were also dried out and not tender. The schnitzel is ok. The service is friendly. But we waited forever to pay several times. The view is beautiful!

The food was good but not a real hit and the service was very inconsistent.

We were there on Monday which I believe is their GrillNight, much to our delight! We struggled to park as there isn't much but it was well-worth it! Delicious food, kind waiter and our dog was more than welcome in the beer garden (not sure about inside). Affordable food and quality too!

Had the pleasure of spending a few nights in Ramsau as a fitter. Since I only had a holiday room, I had to look for a restaurant. The Waldquelle was recommended to me and it was a very good recommendation. The food is excellent, the service is top and the prices are reasonable, so you get good food at a reasonable price. Also worth mentioning is the view from the beer garden, where the half-light beer tastes even better. The only drawback that should be mentioned is the parking situation in front of the entrance. Unfortunately, the cars sometimes park so stupidly that families with strollers have to take a detour via a side entrance with stairs. Maybe you can create some relief by not blocking the main entrance, as access is sometimes a bit tight for pedestrians because of the cars.

I'm happy to give a lot of points here. The food was delicious and the ingredients were fresh, nothing from glass or cans. Prices are reasonable. Pizza is great as it should be. And the meatloaf is also lovingly prepared.

Tolles Restaurant mit abwechslungsreicher Karte. Für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei, von traditionell bayrisch über Burger bis zu Pizza. Wechselnde Aktionstage (z.B. Pulled Pork Burger Donnerstags). Tolles Ambiente mit ruhigem Außenbereich und aufwendig renoviertem Innenbereich. An ausgewählten Tagen im Sommer spiel eine Kapelle. Die Parksituation ist etwas angespannt, Ersatz gibt es nahe der Hauptstraße nur wenige 100 Meter entfernt.

Our first visit to the forest spring. Super friendly staff. Food came after only about 1/4 hour. We had been looking forward to the beer garden in advance, but the rain meant we had to leave the dining room. And it was so beautiful and harmonious. The food (wild boar goulash/butter spaetzle; schnitzel with fries for the child) was absolutely delicious. All in all we were totally thrilled. LG and thank you again 👍

Actually a really nice guesthouse, but we don't quite see the 5 stars in many other reviews. The waitresses are really nice and warm and the outside area is really nice to sit in. Which we found very unfortunate - Unfortunately, the quality of our food was only average (schnitzel and pizza were okay but no more, the fries were hard, the tarte flambée was actually pizza dough with a different topping but not a real tarte flambée) - Reservations are only accepted for indoor dining - it's a shame, this isn't a problem with almost all restaurants in the area - If you want to change small things about the court, rebooking immediately costs an extra €1 - here you get the feeling that individual wishes, which are taken into account elsewhere as a matter of course, are unwelcome here In summary: A very nice restaurant to sit outside if you spontaneously get a seat, unfortunately the food is not convincing. That's a real shame because the personal factor is absolutely great.

We were able to make a reservation at short notice. The service staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was really good, but the chef had a weakness for spiciness😉. The kettle goulash was fiery but very tasty. We can fully recommend a visit.

Extremely nice and warm service. The food went well! Only in the case of the pork fillet medallions would it have been nice to actually preserve them and not just serve flattened pork schnitzels. The venison goulash, on the other hand, was very good.

Really great place. The service (from Steffi) was first class, we have rarely been served so cheerfully and courteously. We were there with a baby and toddler and even special requests were taken into account very kindly. The food was very delicious and nicely presented. Attention was also paid to small details (diaper bags, baby cream, documents, deodorant for the mom). It doesn't cost much and makes the guests very happy. We'll come back on our next vacation! We spontaneously came to this restaurant during our camping holiday. I had the smash burger with fries. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the burger wasn't very good, the meat was okay but there was too much cheese on it and the bottom half of the bun was soggy. the portion of fries was very generous. My colleague also ordered a corn on the cob which we shared and it was 10/10. In itself a nice restaurant in a nice location.

Great restaurant with a beer garden and pick-up service. I once had a meal there (Pinsa Regina). The waitresses were very friendly and provided great service. And twice to pick up (small salad + WQ burger > waiting time 20min) and (small salad + mini spring rolls > waiting time 5min). The ordering and collection went smoothly and the food was lovingly prepared and packaged.

Very nice staff. Very tasty food. Great atmosphere. The inn offers a great outdoor area. There is also the opportunity to buy alpaca products (next to the toilet entrance).

Stay away from the fish. Had the fried fish which was also good until the third bite. But then I realized that pretty much all of the remaining bones had been forgotten to pull. You just couldn't eat. The fish also seemed partly raw to me. When I pointed this out to the waitress, I received a "sorry" but unfortunately that was of little use to me when they still charged the full price of 18 euros even though I couldn't even eat a quarter of the fish. Very disappointing. I am of the opinion that you should only offer dishes that you have mastered, or react appropriately if mistakes are made. Addition: from the answer I received here, it's easy to see that they're not really interested in guest satisfaction here. Of course, if you live mainly from walk-in customers, you can afford it. Criticism should always be taken seriously because it is the only way to improve. Unfortunately, justifications are of little use to me.

We were on vacation in Ramsau again and we ended up in the forest spring. The ambience inside was great and it was comfortable to sit outside on the terrace. Ate there a total of 3 times: 1.) Smashed burger with fries and wedges It wasn't to our liking as the meat was a bit dry and the cheese on the bottom was burnt. The thin fries were ok. Wedges are better. 2.) Got pizza. 1x Regina and 1x Almbauer each My husband thought the Regina was fine. My alpine farmer was really good. Nice alpine cheese, onion, rocket, chives. My husband got the pepperoni. 3.) Roast pork, dumplings and salad It was really tasty!!! Crispy crust, delicious dumplings, salad and sauce. Yummy!!! Our little one's wide fries were delicious and crispy. The service at Waldquelle was TOP as always!!! Unfortunately there are few free parking spaces at the house and an expensive public parking lot (€6) a little away from the restaurant. NO guest WiFi. Full marks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because every chef can have a bad day sometimes... But this is just our opinion and we wanted to write it down truthfully. We'd love to come back!!!

Nice quiet restaurant with changing daily menu. We where lucky enough to have Schweinsbraten on the daily menu. It was served with a small bowl of cold fresh sour cabbage. The size of the dish was quite overwhelming so we had to take half of the meat to home. Generally it seemed that the dishes are on the bigger side. The meat was tender and the crust crispy. The dark beer sauce good- but still it was a thickened sauce. The potato dumpling was very good too. I still missed the spices, onion and garlic like i know it but this one was the best so far out of the 4 restaurants in Germany. The waitress was very nice and fast too.

Ambience very appealing, service top!, prices adapted to the holiday destination, food unfortunately not praiseworthy. Ate there 2 evenings Quality of the duck leg and the beef goulash was very poor. Meat hard and riddled with fat. Complaint to Service was acknowledged with a smile and a free schnapps. I would have a reaction expected in the kitchen. Therefore no recommendation. Become won't come back again.

Great menu offers something for everyone, and there are also changing additional daily meals. We've been there three times now, and definitely not the last time on our hiking holiday. My mother could hardly have done half a duck better. The game goulash was also very seasoned and the pizza was just as delicious. I almost forgot about the service, very friendly, helpful with the choice of food and liqueur and always a smile. I'd love to come back here!

Lavish and hearty food. If you want to eat light and healthy, it's not easy here. The dining room inside is a bit uncomfortable but bright and friendly. Sitting outside offers a lot more :)

The vegan burger is AMAZING. I would never have expected such a good vegan burger in a village in Bavaria. Please never change this burger. We went there twice on vacation because of the burger. Ultra delicious! ❤️ The waiter was also super friendly :-)

Everything perfect. I don't know when I last ate so well. Price-performance cannot be beaten. As a surprise, there was a sausage on the plate alongside the meat patties from the local ibex. Everything tastes absolutely brilliant, plus first class service. Gladly again!

Die Gaststätte hat einen schönen und modernen Innenraum. Außen gibt es je nach Witterung und Jahreszeit auch draußen Tische und Stühle. Die Mitarbeiter im Service sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und es gibt oft eine tolle Tageskarte. Die Speisen wurden frisch zubereitet und schmecken sehr sehr lecker. Wir waren zufrieden. Ein Besuch kann wirklich weiterempfohlen werden. Vor der Gaststätte gibt es auch ein paar kostenlose Parkplätze. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The food was good, but the service team seemed a bit overwhelmed. We had to wait a long time for food, a little hint from the staff would have been nice, so we had to wait, wait, wait. We ate there from Friday to Sunday. Very tasty and tasty prepared. The waitress (Steffi) if the name is correct, very sweet and very quick. A greeting to the kitchen and all employees! Veggie burger with fries was very tasty. Friendly service. Clean toilets. Card payment possible. Little parking space. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Tap water can be ordered for a service fee. In my opinion, food prices are a bit too high. If you order fries, you get a fairly large portion. There is only a small packet of ketchup, which is not enough. If you order more ketchup, it costs extra. You could be a little more generous.

Wir waren insgesamt zwei Mal da! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht wirklich alle Wünsche zu erfüllen! Das Essen vor Ort z B. Schnitzel war lecker! dann haben wir noch mal bestellt das war überhaupt nicht gut, Frühlingsrollen waren TK und dafür viel zu teuer, Salat war leider welk, 2 x Stückchen Tomaten, irgendwie alles durchgemischt mit Kraut etc war nicht gut! Gebratene Nudeln Katastrophe irgendwie sehr convenience war hat schon nicht lecker gerochen, leider nach einer Geschmackprobe auch nur im Mülleimer gelandet! Die Räumlichkeiten sind leider etwas Hallenlastik man kommt sich ein bisschen wie in einer Kantine vor. Der Kräuter Tee jedoch ist sehr zu empfehlen mega lecker! Fazit: Das liebe Personal macht viel weg! Zum essen vielleicht nicht aber sehr gerne zum Tee!

Seeehr schönes lokal. Sehr netter, aufmerksamer und interessierter Service. Meine Kritik geht hier auf die Fleisch Zutaten. Bestellt wurde 1x die mii nudeln mit ceshwu Kernen Gemüse und putenstreifen. Hier war alles ganz gut bis auf das Putenfleisch. Es war tot gebraten, und trocken. Das 2te Gericht war das t- Bone steak was auf der tageskarte stand. Die Bratkartoffeln waren super, die Bohnen waren ok, ( Bohnen waren in einer sehr schweren hellen Soße ) Die pfefferrahmsoße war zu dick fande ich. Nun zum Fleisch, das war leider extrem zeh. Ich denke das dass Fleisch das problem war und nicht der Koch. Ich würde das lokal gerne nochmals besuchen und andere Gerichte testen, leider ist der Urlaub vorbei und muss zurück nach BW.

Wir kommen schon seit vielen Jahren dort zum Essen. Es war immer sehr schmackhaft und reichhaltig. Die Pizza ist super.

Das Essen war so lecker, dass wir gleich zweimal hintereinander dort waren :) Uns hat es sehr gut dort gefallen. Leider sitzt man dort in einem großen Raum mit allen Gästen zusammen. Am Ambiente würde uns besser gefallen wenn z.b. einige Nischen vorhanden wären.

Wir waren heute, den 29.10.2023 zum Mittagessen mit meiner Frau und Kind da. Das war ein Genuss. Tolle Speisen und super sympathische Bedienung. Züricher Geschnetzelt, Schweinebraten mit Bier-Sosse und der Nachtisch. Ein Gedicht für Augen und Gaumen . Schade für uns, dass das Restaurant ab morgen für 4 Wochen wegen Betriebsferien geschlossen ist. Wo sollen wir nun in unsere Ferienzeit hier essen gehen? :-) :-) An allen Mitarbeiter*innen wünsche ich eine erholsame Zeit in den wohlverdienten Ferien.

Waren jetzt drei Jahre immer im Herbst dort essen und es ist immer sehr lecker . Service ist super freundlich immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Preis-Leistung stimmt vollkommen kommen nächstes Jahr wieder 😊 vorallem wegen dem Kräuterhexen Schnaps 🥰

Ich war während meines Urlaubes insgesamt 3x in der Waldquelle und jedes Mal vollkommen zufrieden! Der Service ist stets umsichtig und freundlich (besondere Erwähnung für Steffi und Arno), auch wenn Hochbetrieb herrscht. Die Karte ist abwechslungsreich und kreativ, es gibt nicht nur die "alltägliche" bayrische Küche. Alles war optisch toll angerichtet und fein abgeschmeckt. Hier fühlt man sich wirklich wohl und kommt gerne wieder!

Bestes Filetsteak seit längerer Zeit. Da kann einer was in der Küche.

Mehr als begeistert von dem Restaurant!!:)) Das Essen war mega schön angerichtet und sehr sehr sehr frisch und lecker!! Noch nie so einen leckeren vegetarischen Burger gegessen! Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend :))) Mein Freund war auch mit seiner Wahl an Gerichten sehr zufrieden:) Hätten gerne noch Nachtisch bestellt aber die Portionen waren mega sättigend:) Hätten wir mehr Tage hier vor Ort ,würden wir jedes Mal zum Abendessen hierher kommen !:) Ach und die Preise sind mehr als zufriedenstellend!:)

Wir waren während unserem Urlaub in Ramsau drei mal in der Waldquelle und jedes Mal waren wir sehr begeistert. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und reichlich. Das Essen wird zudem wunderschön angerichtet. Wir kommen , seit die Jungs klein waren …hier fängt der Urlaub an und hier hört er auf ! Das Essen ist von der Tageskarte bis zur Pizza einfach lecker und sehr lieb angerichtet ! Die Bedienungen haben auch jetzt , nach der langen Saison , Freude an ihrer Arbeit und Spaß mit den Gästen !
