This restaurant is highly recommended. No matter what you order, you'll be delighted with the food, the service, and the ambiance. Simply delicious. Huge portions at fair prices. Go there and try it for yourself. Top-notch!

If you're in Ramsau or the surrounding area, you should definitely give it a try. The inn has excellent food at reasonable prices and a great staff. They also offer events. I was in Berchtesgaden on vacation and at the Waldquelle three times. It was consistently excellent. There's also a lot to see in the surrounding area.

We discovered this place by chance. A truly wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The food arrived extremely quickly and was incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, we forgot to take photos. We also wanted to try dessert, which was just as delicious. A definite recommendation, and we'd love to come back☺️. (I also took a photo of the latte macchiato)

After a whole day of mountain climbing (König See), we stumbled in, although not unexpectedly (we had a reservation the day before, it was all in a moment) a perfect welcome, it was barbecue day, nice people, perfect service, and extremely delicious food.! A highly recommended restaurant. A decent menu with regional products and also vegetarian dishes. The food is varied, with different themed days such as slaughter festivals, barbecue evenings, or fish specials. The service is very friendly and attentive. The prices are absolutely reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Unfortunately, you can't make reservations for the beer garden, but you can always find a spot. We went there three times and will miss it a bit.

On our vacations, we try out different restaurants one by one. This time, it was the Waldquelle Inn. We reserved a table online two days in advance, which was very easy and quick. The inn itself is essentially a large room with all the tables set up close together. Anyone hoping for some privacy will be disappointed. We first ordered the Wildschützenburger with fries, the venison goulash with fried potatoes, and the Bergsteiger pizza baguette. The food was served quite quickly and simultaneously. It was truly excellent both visually and in terms of taste! A big shout-out to the chef and his team 👍 Afterwards, we decided on dessert. We ordered a warm chocolate cake with ice cream and an apricot tart, along with a coffee. The dessert was also very tasty, but we have to give it a negative rating for the service/organization, as the items weren't brought to the table at the same time this time. After my friend had finished her cake and I had finished our coffee, the apricot tart was brought out. While they apologized and referred us to the second kitchen, which had prepared this dish and which had caused the time difference, that didn't change the fact that my friend now had to watch me eat. Unfortunately, this somewhat detracts from the positive overall impression. Perhaps just a small tip: Mistakes happen, so don't be so bad. We've often experienced at least a small gift (schnapps, scoop of ice cream, etc.) as an apology, without asking. This makes the customer happier and the host more likeable ☺️ But all in all, we definitely recommend it 👍 the food is simply outstanding 👍

Highly recommended! The food was delicious, Bavarian and international specialties! Dogs are absolutely welcome inside and outside! Large terrace with approximately 80 seats, and a hall with approximately 80 seats inside. Quirky interior! We were there again today, and this time the wait for food was normal, about 20 minutes. The service was also super nice and competent!👍👍👍 Our waitress, Christina, was quick, friendly, and kept a complete overview at all times. Friendly to our dog, he got a small treat at the end. The only downside: Since two other restaurants introduced Sunday and Monday as closing days at very short notice, the Waldquelle was completely full, and the wait for food was 55 minutes instead of the usual 20 minutes. Nevertheless, since it was an exception, I absolutely recommend it!

All we can say is that this place has a fantastic location, superb food, and very good, friendly, and cheerful staff. You immediately feel at home here, and the menu is so varied...the generous portions have prompted us to return several times. Highly recommended.

We ate at this restaurant twice, once for lunch in the beer garden and once inside for dinner. What really impressed us as a family was how child-friendly it is! Both times, our girls received pens and a coloring sheet. We haven't received that anywhere else before ;) Our server was more than friendly and very attentive! She kept asking if everything was okay. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions were very generous for the price! We've had a completely different experience at other restaurants in the region. The ambiance, both inside and out, also made us feel comfortable. We would love to go back and thank you so much for your hospitality!

We ate here twice while on vacation and were completely satisfied both times. The parking situation is a bit problematic. You have to use the public parking lot, which is far too expensive (€6 for 24 hours - no discount).

A truly beautiful and lovingly run restaurant right in the heart of Ramsau. There's also an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the delicious dishes while taking in the stunning view. We had no complaints about the price or quality—quite the opposite. The friendliness of the staff also puts the Waldquelle on a par with, and even surpasses, any other restaurant in the area. We really enjoyed our stay here; we're repeat visitors and would love to return. And if you're short on cash, you can also pay by card (not common in the area).

We first visited this inn 32 years ago, and it's grown tremendously since then. The food is very varied and delicious, with a superb selection to suit every discerning palate. The restaurant has been expanded, and you can now host larger celebrations there. Everyone is very friendly, and the innkeepers have a great concept, which the entire team implements very well. We felt very comfortable there during our vacation.

Unfortunately, this was the worst service we've ever experienced. The waitress was so unfriendly and overwhelmed when we were taking our order that she delivered the wrong meal. This can happen and isn't really a big deal. But then blaming the guest and not delivering any food at all is outrageous and completely unacceptable. The order at the next table didn't work either. We therefore cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

World's best burger! We went for a burger today, and the chef was super flexible and accommodated our individual needs. It was so uncomplicated, friendly, and delicious, too! People, go there and eat the burger. World-class! Thank you very much <3

Extremely unfriendly staff, which unfortunately ruins the otherwise cozy atmosphere. Listing dishes on the menu that don't even exist, which the customer then orders, and then the waiter tries to pass it off as the customer's mistake, borders on the impudent. A pinsa (oval shape with different ingredients and dough aging time) is listed on the menu, and a regular pizza is brought. When asked whether a pinsa had actually been ordered, the rarely heard response was: "It's not my fault, it's your problem." Dear STEFFI, that's not how you talk to customers.

Been here three times. Three times we left the inn satisfied, full, and in a good mood! The girls and the male staff are lovely people, friendly, hardworking, and accommodating. The food...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Delicious! The events are also very appealing, such as the Alpine dance with live music or the barbecue evening. Very nice location, next to the spa gardens. Unfortunately, the food was only partially okay! Venison goulash with dumplings was okay, but the burger was too crispy and probably had too much salt on it! So, okay, with room for improvement!

Very tasty food and super friendly service

Two of us arrived without a reservation and were immediately shown to a table. The staff was very friendly, and our drinks arrived quickly. We had a bit of a wait for the food, but that was okay because we felt very comfortable there. We had the Schlachtschüssel (Mondays only) and the Schwabenpfanndl (Swabian pancake). Both were plentiful and very tasty. Overall, a pleasant experience, and therefore full marks. 👏🏻

This is the third time I've eaten there on vacation, and I'll be back for a fourth :) Delicious food, fast and friendly service, good support when it comes to special requests, and a relaxed atmosphere. The team at Waldquelle has always been relaxed and accommodating – I have to commend that. The double-smashed burger was delicious, and the wedges are highly recommended. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We were actually satisfied with the food, the service is also very friendly BUT what unfortunately really disappointed me afterwards was that I asked whether the vegetable curry with rice was also available as a children's portion (normal price €15.80). This was first answered in the negative, then in the affirmative - which made me very happy, as my daughter really likes to eat rice + vegetables. When the food came, it was a mini-mini portion of rice and the curry (portion completely OK), I then had to order another portion of rice for €5. When the bill came, I was really flabbergasted: €15.80 - €2 less for the children's portion, and + €5 for extra rice - i.e. afterwards we were more expensive than the normal dish. I don't understand why people make such a fool of their guests. Other children's meals cost a maximum of €12.80 or are under €10 It's a shame, although everything else was great.

On the first visit we thought: It can't be true that it's that good! So we had to come a second time purely out of scientific obligation. And what can you say: world-class tavern cuisine again! Salad with sophistication and crunchy, burgers juicy, goulash to kneel down on. Our dog got insect dog treats and thought it was phenomenal. Great food, warm service, cozy atmosphere and we will definitely come back for a check-up. 😋

We came twice during our winter stay in Berchtesgaden and absolutely loved Wirtshaus Waldquelle each time. We particularly enjoyed the hare-ragout and the game-meat burger, but everything else we tried was on the higher-end both in quality and quantity (note that the meat & fish served are either directly local or from the region). The service is just as phenomenal with attentive and friendly waitresses & a general welcoming atmosphere. We strongly recommend. ❤️

The food and service are – as always – absolutely great. For me, however, today's visit was a very special and emotional experience, as my father passed away 14 days ago. This restaurant was his favorite place and I can still see him sitting in "his" chair. The warm atmosphere and outstanding quality here make it easier to preserve beautiful memories and find moments of solace. Thanks to the entire team for this consistency and the loving treatment - it means more than words can express. --- Certainly one of the best places in the area. They only serve best, fresh and homemade food in original style with great portions at a very reasonable price!!! The service and kitchen is marvelous!!!

Very friendly service, you immediately feel at home 😊 A small portion of spaetzle was made especially for the child, I personally can only recommend the Schwabenpfandl to anyone who likes to eat meat 🤩

Absolutely fantastic food and the ambience is great too. However, it would be desirable if the service staff dealt with problems a little more professionally. If you pour a beer all over a guest's clothes and cell phone, you can expect that the service staff will respond or take appropriate action (give you something to dry, for example). However, this did not happen.

The service was very friendly and attentive. Five stars for the young woman. Unfortunately, the onion soup wasn't to my taste as it was completely "over-seasoned" with far too many different herbs. The toast was covered in a lot of sauce and completely soggy. The fries were delicious. The beer is fresh and well chilled.

We stopped in for dinner without a reservation and we were promptly seated and served. The Asian style dumplings were a nice surprise. The meat had just the right amount of savory offset by the sweet dip. The kaserspatzle was bit dry, needs just a little more liquid.

We visited the Waldquelle Wirtshaus for dinner today. The evening was absolutely magnificent. From the service to the ambience to the food, absolutely everything was perfect. You immediately feel at home there, the guest room has been furnished with great attention to detail. Our waitress Steffi was incredibly attentive and super nice. The food was really tasty. We would visit the inn again at any time and can fully recommend it.
