Sehr gute Gaststätte mit freundlichen Personal und guten Essen.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, Essen sehr lecker. Unbedingt Tisch reservieren sonst Schwierigkeiten ein Platz zu bekommen. Sagt alles über die Qualität aus.

Super lecker und solide Portionen, halbwegs kinderfreundlich, also kann man gut machen.

Wir waren jetzt zweimal vor Ort. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und auf Zack. Die Portionen sind sehr gut, an den Soßen kann geschmacklich gearbeitet werden, weniger ist manchmal mehr. Alles in Allem aber durchweg zu empfehlen.

Wir haben heute über 2 ,5 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Service war nett, aber hilflos. Inhaber hat nicht mal versucht die Wartezeit wieder gut zu machen. Zumindest war das Essen lecker....

Essen war noch ok, nur sollte einem gesagt werden,das die Beilagenänderung 5 Euro mehr kostet.

Ein tolles Lokal mit ausgezeichnetem und preiswertem Essen und freundlichem Service. Absolut empfehlenswert! Der Salat war superfrisch!

Wir haben spontan für Sonntagmittag noch einen schönen sonnigen Platz bekommen – wirklich top! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Kinderfreundlichkeit: Unsere Kinder haben direkt Malsachen bekommen, was super angekommen ist. Auch der Service allgemein war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Wirtshaus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und lädt absolut zum Verweilen ein. Die Portionen waren außerdem wirklich groß. Geschmacklich war vieles gut, auch wenn bei einigen Gerichten noch etwas Luft nach oben war: Die Lendenmedaillons hatte ich rosa bestellt, sie waren allerdings komplett durch und erinnerten von der Form eher an Minutensteaks. Auch die Pilzrahmsoße war etwas zu flüssig. Beim Schweinebraten war leider eine Scheibe mit komplett verbrannter Kruste dabei, die man so eigentlich nicht servieren sollte. Trotzdem hatten wir insgesamt einen schönen Aufenthalt und können das Wirtshaus durchaus weiterempfehlen – besonders wegen des tollen Ambientes, des freundlichen Services und der Familienfreundlichkeit.

Das Essen war ein Genuss. Sehr lecker, große Portionen wunderschön angerichtet. Alles handgemacht und fein. Der Service ist wahnsinnig freundlich und auf Zack-wer von Frauke bedient wird kann sich glücklich schätzen, selten eine nettere und warmherziger Servicekraft erlebt! Dankeschön für den leckeren Abend! Wir empfehlen euch gerne weiter!

Update 09.05.2026: Waren heute wieder da und der vegane Burger ist noch immer super lecker. Pommes übrigens auch! Große Empfehlung 😍 Der vegane Burger ist FANTASTISCH. Niemals hätte ich auf dem Dorf in Bayern so einen guten veganen Burger erwartet. Bitte ändert diesen Burger niemals. Wir sind im Urlaub 2x dort gewesen wegen des Burgers. Ultra lecker! ❤️ Kellner war im Übrigen auch super freundlich :-)

Sehr gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, helle Atmosphäre. Essen kam schnell und schmecke hervorragend. Käsespätzle wurden in heißer, gusseiserner Pfanne serviert.

Ein fantastisches bayerisches Restaurant mit authentischer Küche. Aufmerksamer Service. Der Schweinebraten in Dunkelbiersoße war sehr lecker und die Portionen großzügig. Die Toiletten sind blitzsauber.

Essen war solide. Service war gut, hätte bei vollem Lokal vielleicht eine Servicekraft mehr sein können (Beurteilung eines Laien!). Insgesamt war es ganz gut, habe aber mehr erwartet.

Hatten Pech mit dem Service, Gäste die zum Teil 15 Minuten nach uns gekommen sind, hatten bereits ihre Getränke bis wir bestellen konnten. Beim Essen das selbe.

Köstliches Essen und freundlicher Service. Egal wo ich mich in der Umgebung befand, ich nahm gerne die paar Kilometer Fahrt in Kauf, um hier zu essen.

Sauberes,helles Restaurant, mit zusätzlicher Wochenkarte. Essen großartig, Kellnerin extrem motiviert und lieb. Extra Kinderkarte,Malsachen und Gummibärchen zum Schluß :) Klare Weiterempfehlung!

Wir haben Silvester in diesem Restaurant verbracht und es war einfach wundervoll! Wir waren am Sonntagabend zum Abendessen dort und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Wir bestellten Hirschschnitzel, einen großen gemischten Salat, eine Beilage gemischtes Gemüse und Apfelstrudel mit Vanillesauce. Das Hirschschnitzel war köstlich, und obwohl wir keine großen Erwartungen an das Gemüse und den Salat hatten, waren sie überraschend lecker. Der Strudel war außerdem nicht zu süß, was wir sehr begrüßten. Unsere Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich und hat regelmäßig nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Insgesamt können wir dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen, falls Sie in der Gegend sind!

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Bring a big appetite; the portions are generous, and the food is so good you won't want to stop. The venison burger was a dream, and the homemade schnapps is a must-try. We'll definitely be back.

Very tasty food everything was great

The food was good, but unfortunately, they charge for any changes. Swapping potato salad for fried potatoes cost €1. The sausage salad came with two slices of bread, unfortunately without butter. When I asked for butter, another €1 was added.

It's not often that we go to the same restaurant three times in a week's vacation. The combination of delicious food, huge portions, and, above all, excellent service made it necessary.

We ate here on a late summer Saturday evening and got a seat without a reservation. The waiters were all very friendly. The food selection is reasonable. There's something for everyone. From pasta dishes to pizza and pinsa, as well as classic Bavarian dishes, you'll find it on the menu. The ribs with BBQ sauce and potato wedges are also highly recommended. The dips that come with them were especially great. The price is also really good. All in all, a really successful visit :)

This is our first time in Ramsau. It's one of the few restaurants open later than 6 p.m. The staff is very friendly; you feel welcome and are greeted with a smile. The food is high-quality, fresh, and delicious! From the Bavarian specialties to burgers and venison, everything is highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

Mega portions! Not for toast eaters. 😉 And the value for money is also top-notch, as is the service. I had the Strindberg braised steak (fried potatoes instead of spaetzle). Both the local and the dish: a definite recommendation.

If you're in Ramsau or the surrounding area, you should definitely give it a try. The inn has excellent food at reasonable prices and a great staff. They also offer events. I was in Berchtesgaden on vacation and at the Waldquelle three times. It was consistently excellent. There's also a lot to see in the surrounding area.

This restaurant is highly recommended. No matter what you order, you'll be delighted with the food, the service, and the ambiance. Simply delicious. Huge portions at fair prices. Go there and try it for yourself. Top-notch!

We discovered this place by chance. A truly wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. The food arrived extremely quickly and was incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, we forgot to take photos. We also wanted to try dessert, which was just as delicious. A definite recommendation, and we'd love to come back☺️. (I also took a photo of the latte macchiato)

After a whole day of mountain climbing (König See), we stumbled in, although not unexpectedly (we had a reservation the day before, it was all in a moment) a perfect welcome, it was barbecue day, nice people, perfect service, and extremely delicious food.! On our vacations, we try out different restaurants one by one. This time, it was the Waldquelle Inn. We reserved a table online two days in advance, which was very easy and quick. The inn itself is essentially a large room with all the tables set up close together. Anyone hoping for some privacy will be disappointed. We first ordered the Wildschützenburger with fries, the venison goulash with fried potatoes, and the Bergsteiger pizza baguette. The food was served quite quickly and simultaneously. It was truly excellent both visually and in terms of taste! A big shout-out to the chef and his team 👍 Afterwards, we decided on dessert. We ordered a warm chocolate cake with ice cream and an apricot tart, along with a coffee. The dessert was also very tasty, but we have to give it a negative rating for the service/organization, as the items weren't brought to the table at the same time this time. After my friend had finished her cake and I had finished our coffee, the apricot tart was brought out. While they apologized and referred us to the second kitchen, which had prepared this dish and which had caused the time difference, that didn't change the fact that my friend now had to watch me eat. Unfortunately, this somewhat detracts from the positive overall impression. Perhaps just a small tip: Mistakes happen, so don't be so bad. We've often experienced at least a small gift (schnapps, scoop of ice cream, etc.) as an apology, without asking. This makes the customer happier and the host more likeable ☺️ But all in all, we definitely recommend it 👍 the food is simply outstanding 👍

A highly recommended restaurant. A decent menu with regional products and also vegetarian dishes. The food is varied, with different themed days such as slaughter festivals, barbecue evenings, or fish specials. The service is very friendly and attentive. The prices are absolutely reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Unfortunately, you can't make reservations for the beer garden, but you can always find a spot. We went there three times and will miss it a bit.

Highly recommended! The food was delicious, Bavarian and international specialties! Dogs are absolutely welcome inside and outside! Large terrace with approximately 80 seats, and a hall with approximately 80 seats inside. Quirky interior! We were there again today, and this time the wait for food was normal, about 20 minutes. The service was also super nice and competent!👍👍👍 Our waitress, Christina, was quick, friendly, and kept a complete overview at all times. Friendly to our dog, he got a small treat at the end. The only downside: Since two other restaurants introduced Sunday and Monday as closing days at very short notice, the Waldquelle was completely full, and the wait for food was 55 minutes instead of the usual 20 minutes. Nevertheless, since it was an exception, I absolutely recommend it!

We visited the inn three times during our week-long vacation and were always very satisfied. No wonder! The waitresses were extremely pleasant and friendly, both in the restaurant and on the phone. We ate at this restaurant twice, once for lunch in the beer garden and once inside for dinner. What really impressed us as a family was how child-friendly it is! Both times, our girls received pens and a coloring sheet. We haven't received that anywhere else before ;) Our server was more than friendly and very attentive! She kept asking if everything was okay. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions were very generous for the price! We've had a completely different experience at other restaurants in the region. The ambiance, both inside and out, also made us feel comfortable. We would love to go back and thank you so much for your hospitality!

We ate here twice while on vacation and were completely satisfied both times. The parking situation is a bit problematic. You have to use the public parking lot, which is far too expensive (€6 for 24 hours - no discount).

A truly beautiful and lovingly run restaurant right in the heart of Ramsau. There's also an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the delicious dishes while taking in the stunning view. We had no complaints about the price or quality—quite the opposite. The friendliness of the staff also puts the Waldquelle on a par with, and even surpasses, any other restaurant in the area. We really enjoyed our stay here; we're repeat visitors and would love to return. And if you're short on cash, you can also pay by card (not common in the area).

Excellent German bear. Good service. Simple food, well prepared. Nice atmosphere.

We first visited this inn 32 years ago, and it's grown tremendously since then. The food is very varied and delicious, with a superb selection to suit every discerning palate. The restaurant has been expanded, and you can now host larger celebrations there. Everyone is very friendly, and the innkeepers have a great concept, which the entire team implements very well. We felt very comfortable there during our vacation.

Unfortunately, this was the worst service we've ever experienced. The waitress was so unfriendly and overwhelmed when we were taking our order that she delivered the wrong meal. This can happen and isn't really a big deal. But then blaming the guest and not delivering any food at all is outrageous and completely unacceptable. The order at the next table didn't work either. We therefore cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

World's best burger! We went for a burger today, and the chef was super flexible and accommodated our individual needs. It was so uncomplicated, friendly, and delicious, too! People, go there and eat the burger. World-class! Thank you very much <3
