We were there for dinner today. The food was delicious (wild boar goulash and schnitzel with fries, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream). The staff, as well as the chef, were very attentive and efficient. We never left with empty glasses. The price/performance ratio is completely reasonable. The dining room is very cozy and beautifully decorated. Next time we come to Ramsau, I would definitely book an overnight stay there.

We ate there four times in the evening during our vacation. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant was busy every evening. The menu is very extensive and varied. The meals were all delicious, plentiful, and served quickly. And all at reasonable, moderate prices. The owner and staff were all very friendly and attentive. Overall, one (or more) visits are highly recommended! Thank you very much!

We spontaneously stopped by today after our hike. We ordered Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes) and three dumplings with sauerkraut. The hearty trio of dumplings was delicious, and the Kaiserschmarren is also highly recommended. It was the best we've had so far. Caramelized, fluffy, and with plum compote, a true feast for the palate! We will definitely be back.

We can only review the restaurant. We went there three times during our vacation – twice for dinner and once for coffee and cake. The terrace is very pleasant to sit on, and the food was always very good. One of the few restaurants that has more than two or three vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu! We would come back on our next vacation. It's also located very close to the Wimbach Gorge and is a great place to stop after a hike to the Watzmannhaus or similar.

Super cozy restaurant nearby to Wimbachklam gorge. Its near to the parking lot and also the restaurant is also accessible to the bus stop. The food there is amazing and they have also local german beer. We been there last May and we eat there for lunch. For the price of the food is fairly ok and the amount also is good. The waiter that who served us is really accommodating and friendly even though we dont speak german he tried his best to explain the dishes in english. The restaurant ambiance too is quiet and peaceful. It feels like you are eating to your grandparents place with a vibe of old school thing.

The food was okay 😊 Unfortunately, there was no farmer's breakfast. It was also a bit later, at 1:30 p.m. Goulash soup was delicious and made up for it.

Cozy inn in a good location. Directly on the Wimbach Gorge. Free parking is available. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. Bathrooms are small but adequate. The inn's cuisine is highly recommended. Prices are reasonable. Breakfast is pre-ordered the evening before and served at your table in the morning. The host couple and all the staff are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. We would gladly return.

The two of us had lunch at the Gasthof Wimbachklamm. From the outside, the first impression is modern, while the inside is a bit quaint/rustic. But both fit together well. The staff is friendly, courteous, and unobtrusive. The food and drinks arrived promptly, with a reasonable wait time—not too long, not too short. Perfect! We opted for the Kaiserschmarrn and the beef goulash. They were hot, delicious, and obviously homemade. We highly recommend both!

We had already eaten at the inn in June and decided to stay there again this time. We were more than satisfied: a super spacious room, everything was super clean and tidy, a great bathroom, very fluffy towels, a high-quality breakfast, and very friendly hosts. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back.

A lovely restaurant located at the Wimbachklamm parking lot. Several seats on the terrace with parasols. We received friendly service, and the menu offers a fantastic children's menu—truly a rarity—but there are also great, fresh, small and large dishes for adults, both sweet and savory. Prices are normal for a restaurant.

The food is excellent! We got the last table - staying in Raumsgau on a Monday night and it's the only restaurant in town open. Wonderful ambiance inside, staff are friendly, highly recommend the Wiener Schnitzel - freshly made, delicious and filling - exactly what you want after walking 25kms in the rain!

We had dinner at the Gasthof Wimbachklamm and were very satisfied. The service was very friendly and attentive. There were plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians – there was even a vegan option on the menu. We had the small knuckle of pork (perfectly large for a normal appetite) and the Blau Eis veggie burger. Everything was delicious, and we would definitely come back! Reservations are recommended during holiday season.

We spent a few days here again, our fifth stay so far. And once again, we were thrilled. Tanja and Dennis are two wonderful and very friendly hosts. The breakfast staff in the morning and the two young people in the evening service... all very nice and accommodating. The rooms are lovingly furnished and comfortable. The food here... amazing. We had the Alpine deer burger and the venison goulash, among others, and it's always top-notch. Take good care of your chef... best to chain him up 😁😁😁 Gasthof Wimbachklamm is a great starting point for many great tours. You can't complain about the value for money. We'll definitely be returning and are already looking forward to New Year's Eve.

Delicious baked potato with plenty of sour cream and grilled vegetables. A generous portion. The fillet stew with chicken and peppers, accompanied by spaetzle, was also excellent! Friendly and very attentive servers! Advance reservations are essential during peak season!

We visited here for the first time based on a social media recommendation and will definitely be back. We sat in the more rustic section, which we really liked. The staff, including the chef, were incredibly friendly and welcoming; we felt truly at home there :-) Our food tasted perfect - but the large knuckle of pork is really quite large and should only be ordered if you're very hungry ;-) From start to finish, it was a harmonious, incredibly beautiful, and successful evening there. I can only recommend this restaurant 100%!

We eat there at least once on every vacation. Everything is delicious. No matter what we've had so far—cordon bleu, schnitzel, salad, the Trio, or the Teufel—we can recommend it all. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside. Parking is right in front of the house, and the gorge isn't far away. The staff is always very friendly. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

We hiked from the Enchanted Forest (2 adults, 4 children, and a dog) to the Weinbach Bridge. It was beautiful, despite the hot temperature. We wanted to stop at the inn for a snack. All the tables (4 seats) under the umbrellas were free. Despite the umbrellas, some of the large benches were in the sun. We politely asked if we could put two tables together in the shade. The answer: "NO!" WE ARE TOLD TO TAKE THE BENCH. Let me remind you again. There was space under the umbrellas, about 9 tables. So we had to sit at the large table in the sun. Only when our displeasure was noticed did the owner (presumably) come and somehow shove a small umbrella towards us. We had to arrange the second umbrella ourselves. Children's portions were only for children. Adults couldn't order them. Normally, we would have left, but the children needed a break. The children ate, but we didn't. Something like that has never happened to me before. I was shocked by this behavior. Once and never again!

We enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Wimbachklamm. We received a friendly welcome, the dining room is comfortably furnished, and the service was attentive. The extensive menu offers a good selection for every taste (meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan). The fact that you can even pay with an EC card isn't a given in this area. We enjoyed the dishes we chose (cordon bleau, two small dumplings with mushroom cream sauce, quinoa and kale strudel), but the portions were simply too small. We left the table feeling hungry.

A wonderful restaurant with excellent local food

Food was delicious. There were a surprising number of vegan and vegetarian dishes for a rural restaurant, all of which were labeled as such (I think that's great and absolutely contemporary). However, the portions could have been a bit larger (the trio of dumplings from the Easter menu in particular could have been larger, or it should be noted that you should order a side dish with it).

Recommended as a mountain inn, but not top. We were there in the low season and the house was not very busy. Our room and bathroom were cold. The menu is varied, portions could be larger for mountain athletes. Courteous service.

After a very exhausting hike, we stopped at the first restaurant we saw, and it was a real hit. The service was very friendly, and the food was also incredibly delicious. My friend had the cheese spaetzl, which was a really good portion for the price. I had the beef goulash, and I have to honestly say I've rarely eaten such good goulash. Absolutely recommend it.

After the hike to the Wimbachgrieshütte we stopped here and felt so well taken care of that we came back to eat a second time during our week of vacation. A quiet, friendly atmosphere meets full-blooded restaurateurs here. Unobtrusive service, fresh cuisine, good portions, we were completely thrilled. An inn in a prime hiking location but a little away from Ramsau. Nevertheless, the journey there is worth it. The venison goulash is finger-licking and the Kaiserschmarrn rounds off an enjoyable meal. The fact that everything is prepared fresh means that at the end of the day, individual dishes are gone. But deer burgers and vegetarian tortellini are also a delicious alternative. The family-run restaurant can round off a nice day of hiking if you want. Highly recommended.

We didn't have a reservation but there was still room for two people. All the staff were very friendly. The spare ribs with the mango-pineapple sauce were incredibly tasty and something different than just BBQ sauce. We can also only recommend the curd dumplings as dessert. Price-performance ratio is right and when we are here again we will stop by again.

We were sent there by our landlords after a long hike as this restaurant would serve hot food until 8pm. This was also confirmed on the homepage. At 7:35pm we were greeted by an extremely rude waiter who claimed that there were differences between theory and practice. The kitchen has been closed since 7 p.m. due to high demand. There were exactly two tables occupied in the restaurant (?!). Our request for a cold snack was also briskly rejected. Instead, we should walk 25 minutes to a pizzeria (a bus no longer runs at this time). Absolute impudence! This is how you scare away any tourist in this region, we won't be coming back!

Delicious food for a fair price.

The food is great and comparatively cheap. The service is nice and it's really comfortable both inside and outside. Cash and card payment is possible. You just have to remember that if you arrive by car you have to pay a minimum of €6 for the parking ticket.

We went for a walk through the Wimbachklamm and at the end we discovered this inn. Unfortunately everything was occupied, so we made a reservation for the next evening. We were welcomed charmingly and very friendly. The food, drinks and service deserve more than 5 stars. The price-performance ratio is excellent and definitely worth mentioning! We can recommend this great inn 100% with a clear conscience.

Vacation in Ramsau... After a short hike we saw this highly recommended inn. Although all tables were already reserved, we got 2 seats because this family also planned perfectly. The food was really tasty and prepared with love. There is nothing wrong with the price-performance ratio and every family member in the service strives to ensure you have a pleasant stay. A thunderstorm was noticed in advance and, in a very remarkable logistics, the beer garden was moved inside in a well-organized manner. We'll make another reservation straight away because it's really better here. THANK YOU for this hospitality and a clear “keep it up”!

So far we only knew the inn as a restaurant where we stopped off after a hike. This time we stayed at the inn for 2 nights and had a great time there. Rooms exactly like in the pictures, everything was very clean. The location is of course perfect for hikes to the Watzmann, but also for other tours and activities. Parking spaces are free. The hosts are very warm and uncomplicated. You feel a bit at home. If you stay overnight in an inn, it is of course a good idea to eat there too. We did one evening - as was the breakfast, it was delicious and plentiful. Price-performance ratio is also not objectionable compared to the other accommodations in the region. We'll definitely stop by again when we're in the area again.
