A very nice restaurant with great hosts! ❤️ The food is very tasty and a great combination of traditional and American dishes. We will definitely come back next time we visit Ramsau! ☺️☀️

After the hike to the Wimbachgrieshütte we stopped here and felt so well taken care of that we came back to eat a second time during our week of vacation. A quiet, friendly atmosphere meets full-blooded restaurateurs here. Unobtrusive service, fresh cuisine, good portions, we were completely thrilled. I would particularly like to highlight the sauce for the roast pork. I haven't had anything this good in a long time. Greetings from Thuringia, see you again.

We were here on 3 evenings, each without a reservation. Very friendly service, food is good and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is perfectly located in a large parking lot. Toilets are clean.

We were there for dinner. Very nice owners. Great service. The card is excellent. We wanted to come back the next day because we were so excited. Unfortunately we didn't get a table because we only called shortly beforehand. This is of course understandable.

During the ten days of our vacation we had dinner here three times in the evening and were more and more enthusiastic each time. The hosts are born restaurateurs, always friendly, accommodating and helpful. The quality of the food is exceptionally good, with an excellent price/performance ratio. Conclusion > Always happy, but you should make a reservation!

An inn in a prime hiking location but a little away from Ramsau. Nevertheless, the journey there is worth it. The venison goulash is finger-licking and the Kaiserschmarrn rounds off an enjoyable meal. The fact that everything is prepared fresh means that at the end of the day, individual dishes are gone. But deer burgers and vegetarian tortellini are also a delicious alternative. The family-run restaurant can round off a nice day of hiking if you want. Highly recommended.

We didn't have a reservation but there was still room for two people. All the staff were very friendly. The spare ribs with the mango-pineapple sauce were incredibly tasty and something different than just BBQ sauce. We can also only recommend the curd dumplings as dessert. Price-performance ratio is right and when we are here again we will stop by again.

We were sent there by our landlords after a long hike as this restaurant would serve hot food until 8pm. This was also confirmed on the homepage. At 7:35pm we were greeted by an extremely rude waiter who claimed that there were differences between theory and practice. The kitchen has been closed since 7 p.m. due to high demand. There were exactly two tables occupied in the restaurant (?!). Our request for a cold snack was also briskly rejected. Instead, we should walk 25 minutes to a pizzeria (a bus no longer runs at this time). Absolute impudence! This is how you scare away any tourist in this region, we won't be coming back!

Delicious food for a fair price.

The food is great and comparatively cheap. The service is nice and it's really comfortable both inside and outside. Cash and card payment is possible. You just have to remember that if you arrive by car you have to pay a minimum of €6 for the parking ticket.

With a lot of warmth and delicious cuisine, we always enjoy coming here. The insider tip is now no longer a secret. But a fresh beer is always possible here.

We went for a walk through the Wimbachklamm and at the end we discovered this inn. Unfortunately everything was occupied, so we made a reservation for the next evening. We were welcomed charmingly and very friendly. The food, drinks and service deserve more than 5 stars. The price-performance ratio is excellent and definitely worth mentioning! We can recommend this great inn 100% with a clear conscience.

Vacation in Ramsau... After a short hike we saw this highly recommended inn. Although all tables were already reserved, we got 2 seats because this family also planned perfectly. The food was really tasty and prepared with love. There is nothing wrong with the price-performance ratio and every family member in the service strives to ensure you have a pleasant stay. A thunderstorm was noticed in advance and, in a very remarkable logistics, the beer garden was moved inside in a well-organized manner. We'll make another reservation straight away because it's really better here. THANK YOU for this hospitality and a clear “keep it up”!

The staff (most likely the owner) obviously doesn't know the word "courtesy" and that's not worth the hassle...

So far we only knew the inn as a restaurant where we stopped off after a hike. This time we stayed at the inn for 2 nights and had a great time there. Rooms exactly like in the pictures, everything was very clean. The location is of course perfect for hikes to the Watzmann, but also for other tours and activities. Parking spaces are free. The hosts are very warm and uncomplicated. You feel a bit at home. If you stay overnight in an inn, it is of course a good idea to eat there too. We did one evening - as was the breakfast, it was delicious and plentiful. Price-performance ratio is also not objectionable compared to the other accommodations in the region. We'll definitely stop by again when we're in the area again.

We ate at the Gasthof Wimbachklamm twice during our vacation and absolutely loved it. Friendly service and very tasty food. You can definitely recommend the inn. Many greetings from the 3 AK'lers.

It was a chance find for dinner and we were more than satisfied. The friendly hosts, delicious food, the beautiful location - everything fits here. The price-performance ratio is also right because the quality is simply convincing. Some modern interpretations, some classic dishes - everyone will find something here. Clear recommendation!

I was allowed to be a guest in this wonderful house for a few days. The room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and extremely clean. The hosts and employees in this house are very warm and anticipate your every wish. I felt incredibly comfortable there. I really liked that the breakfast is not buffet style. At the beginning of your stay you put together your breakfast based on a list. You are welcome to announce changes the day before and they will then be taken into account. This prevents food from being wasted. The same procedure applies to room cleaning. This happens on demand. There is absolutely no need to clean a room every day. I think it's great. The inn is ideally located as a starting point for hikes. The connection to the bus is fantastic. All the dishes that I was able to enjoy in the inn were excellent in taste and really beautifully presented. I can only recommend this wonderful place of hospitality to everyone and recommend it without reservation. I will definitely come back.

Perfect service, modern Alpine furnishings, very clean, homemade schnitzel, great cordon bleu, delicious salad, pleasant music and a large outdoor terrace. Delicious local beer. Parking is subject to a fee.

Friendly innkeepers, delicious food and a nice ambience

We were “only” there for dinner today. Rarely have we eaten and sat so well and so richly in such a friendly, service-oriented atmosphere with two such friendly hosts. But definitely recommended!!!

I don't know if it was my color but the staff was very racist and gave us the worst table and everything we asked. He said it's finished even though I saw other people took the order I wanted at the end he shouted at me. I would not recommend it.

For all my brown or a little darker folks and my arab and muslim brothers this racist restaurant the whole staff is very racist very disrespectful, uneducated uncultured specially the man and his woman who is very irritated about everything just because she is simply the most racist. Can you imagine a man entering women's bathroom to shout at my mom, while she is a Muslim doing her hejab this is highly unexcepted worldwide. Even the food and drinks is not worth it. bad coffee, bad food bad smell

Our experience began by entering the restaurant with strange looks, taking into account that we are an Arab Muslim family consisting of a father, a mother, two sons, and a 13-year-old girl. We ordered a cold meal that was not delicious at all. My mother went to the bathroom and used the sink, washing her hands and then proceeding directly to the restaurant. Performing the Islamic ablution ritual to perform prayer, which consists of washing the face, palms, and then the feet slightly, and of course after that we wipe our surroundings, because it is one of the pillars of our religion and its symbol of peace, to take care of personal hygiene and the surroundings. We usually arrange our surroundings so that everyone else can enjoy the bathroom in excellent condition. The witness in the matter suddenly, without prior warning, the shop owner’s wife entered l and shouted at my mother ‏ the women’s path room . Then her husband, the owner of the restaurant, entered the women’s bathroom and attacked my mother while she was removing her hijab. He shouted at her by mentioning that she could not perform ablution and prevented her from completing the ablution. He called her backward and disgusting. The shop owner violated the text of Article (4) of the German Constitution by entering the women’s bathroom area and preventing my mother from performing her intuitive right to perform the rituals of her Islamic religion. He challenged the privacy of the women’s bathroom and insulted her dignity as a human being, neglecting human rights according to the laws of the United Nations, and practicing the ugliest forms of racism. Abhorrent is everything a human being wants from his peers. Dealing with kindness, peace, and mutual respect for different cultures and religions. We have traveled in the finest countries, restaurants, and stores. We have never before experienced such treatment from those in charge of the restaurant. This is an experience that will not be repeated, and for the rest of our 2 billion Muslim , beware of this restaurant that does not prohibit the religion of Islam. They insulted your sister, who is an honorable symbol of Islam and Muslims, and Islam is the religion of peace, compassion, and brotherhood. They insulted the granddaughter of Profit Mohamad Sala Alah Aleh w Salam , may God bless him and grant him peace. Pay attention, may God protect you all.

Everyone be careful the food is very bad. The staff is very bad and racist. Specially, the woman. Food is not worth it to be disrespected like that.

I have rarely eaten such a good Asian curry, great atmosphere and absolutely friendly and attentive hosts, highly recommended.

We went to the restaurant for dinner a week ago. The hosts are very polite and attentive. The food is simply amazing. You get a delicious meal for your money. We all enjoyed it very well. Recommended for anyone who likes good food. There is free parking at the inn on site. So you don't have to redeem expensive parking tickets.

We had booked a short break at this inn to go hiking in the Berchtesgader Alps. This inn is ideally located directly on the Wimbachklamm gorge so you can start off refreshed after breakfast, whether to the Watzmann or wherever, because there is also a bus stop not far and can be used free of charge with the guest card (tourist tax). You can put together your own breakfast the day before, whether sweet, savory or muesli as you like it and it will be freshly prepared instead of lying on display for hours like elsewhere. If you need a little more, the friendly waitress will bring it to your table. And if you need travel provisions, you can order them according to your wishes for a reasonable fee. It couldn't be better, because you can concentrate fully on your vacation. After a long hike you can of course also order beautiful regional dishes at a reasonable price. We enjoyed all the dishes and the burger was so good that our son didn't want anything else 😅☺️ Let's move on to the rooms. Everything was clean and there was nothing to complain about. The guests and the young service staff at breakfast were polite and friendly, just as you would expect. Since we liked it so much, we will definitely stay here again on our annual short vacation in Berchtesgader Land.

We stayed at the inn for a 3-day short vacation and had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the owners were warm, accommodating and familiar. During our stay we had dinner at the inn twice and the food was very tasty, plentiful, prepared with great skill and served with a smile. The breakfast was also adapted to our wishes by prior arrangement and served as a refreshment for our hikes. A big compliment goes to the two hosts and all the staff for an unforgettable stay. We will be back.

I was there just to eat after hiking. A very nice restaurant with a nice garden, a great menu and a fantastic chicken burger with fries! And very friendly service! I will come back!

We actually only stopped at the Wimbachklamm inn because we had previously taken a wrong turn. But we weren't disappointed! We ate very well with 4 adults and felt very welcome. We would love to come back here too!

There's really nothing to complain about here, beds are new and comfortable, rooms are super clean, the owners are really welcoming, a very loving and tasteful mix of old and new throughout the house. A really great guesthouse with great rooms, the food is also great and the innkeepers are especially great. Pure warmth! People enjoy coming here. Now in March they have a spare ribs and burger special - the spare ribs were great - everyone falls into bed full, satisfied and happy here.

It's difficult to find an open place to eat at this time of year in the evening, but we would not only find it here but also be pleasantly surprised. At the moment there were many variations of burgers, I ordered the Gifthüttn burger, what can you say, served on a slate plate with fries and VERY attractively placed. The anticipation was exceeded by the taste! Conclusion: Top restaurant, nice hosts and great food - we will definitely come back!!! Since we were only there to eat, we obviously couldn't rate the rooms.

We were guests here over the New Year. We received a friendly and warm welcome from the host. The room was extremely clean and tidy and absolutely sufficient. The local inn invites you to linger, with a small but nice menu. Delicious food, in a great ambience. We are very satisfied and will come again.

We really, really liked it! Very nice owner and waitresses. The roast beef was great! Turkey breast gratinated and Kaiserschmarrn class A1. The ambience is very nice.

Waren hier zum Essen. Hatten einen Burger bestellt. Was soll ich sagen, er wurde mit einem schwarzen !!! (sehr unappetitlich aussehendem) eingefärbten Burgerbrötchen serviert...... Geschmacklich auch nicht überzeugend. Drei Sterne für den netten zuvorkommenden Service.

Erstaunlich Lecker im Touristenparadies. Wir hatten mit höheren Preisen und kleineren Portionen gerechnet. Die Preise sind der Lage angemessen und die Speisen sehr lecker. Sehr freundlicher Service und authentisch BGL. Spielplatz direkt neben dem Gastgarten. Familienfreundlich.

Essen war sehr gut (lediglich die Pommes waren etwas versalzen, was aber nicht sonderlich schlimm ist), die Bedienung sehr freundlich und die Toiletten sauber. Wir kommen gern wieder falls wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind.

Wir hatten uns aufgrund der Bewertungen und der Speisekarte für den Gasthof entschieden. Das Essen war geschmacklich auch sehr gut. Allerdings waren die Portionen für eine erwachsene Person deutlich zu klein, was wir auch freundlich zurückmeldeten. Leider hatten wir nicht wirklich das Gefühl, dass diese Rückmeldung ernst genommen wurde und es gab dafür auch keine Entschuldigung von Seiten des Personals. Das hätten wir uns anders gewünscht. So gehen wir doch sehr ernüchtert und nicht gesättigt nach Hause.

Die letzten drei Jahre habe ich im Urlaub öfter vis a vis des Gasthofes auf dem Parkplatz Wimbachklamm geparkt, bin aber nie rein gegangen. Nach einer drei-Tages-Wandertour auf und um den Watzmann bin ich dieses Jahr das erste mal in den Gasthof zum Essen rein und war recht angenehm überrascht: freundliche Begrüßung durch den Hausherren, nettes Ambiente, schneller und guter Service und eine sehr ansprechende Speisekarte mit für das Berchtesgadener Land recht moderaten Preisen. Das Essen war über jeden Zweifel erhaben und so bin ich drei Tage in Folge zum Essen dort eingekehrt und war sehr zufrieden. Ich kann den Gasthof mit gutem Gewissen jedem empfehlen, der lecker essen möchte. Tanja und Dennis als Hausherrschaften und ihr Team machen einen sehr guten Job.

Wir waren 7 Tage hier in der Pension Wimbachklamm. Sehr modernes und sauberes Zimmer. Frühstück war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Das Essen in der Gaststätte ist sehr gut geschmacklich auch alles frisch und Preisgünstig. Das ganze Personal die Chefin und der Chef ist sehr Freundlich und sehr Nett zu den Gästen. Die Pension und Gaststätte können wir jeden nur weiter Empfehlen. Vielen Dank wir werden wieder mal kommen. Auf jeden Fall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Sterne.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Zimmer sehr gemütlich und sehr modern eingerichtet. Die Dusche neu und sauber gefliesst. Alles war perfekt.

Wir waren dort nur zum Essen und es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war in Ordnung. Wir hatten Pasta, Pommes mit Schnitzel und Schweinbraten mit Klößen. Der Schweinebraten war sehr gut, Pasta auch, die Pommes waren meiner Tochter zu salzig und das Schnitzel war gut.

Kamen direkt von der Watzmannüberschreitung zur Pension. Super freundlicher Empfang, sehr nettes Personal!! Die Pension ist auch ein genialer Ausgangspunkt für den Hochkalter und für alle anderen schönen Ziele in der Ramsau oder Berchtesgaden. Das Abendessen und Frühstück war....besser gehts nicht! Da muss man den Koch einfach loben, das auch im Namen meines Bergfreunds! Wir waren vier Tage dort und von der Haxe, die genial knusprig war bis zum Flammkuchen war das Essen sehr sehr gut! Wir empfehlen diesen Gasthof/Pension sehr gerne weiter.
