We were there for the third time, and there will be a fourth time...sitting in the beer garden is very pleasant, and the food rounds it all off even more...It's worth it...

Very friendly service, genuinely nice and approachable, witty, and totally relaxed despite the abundance. Very good food, tender, delicious, hearty, and sometimes even with unusual recipes. And the Kaiserschmarrn is excellent. Absolutely recommended.

The food here is excellent, the service friendly, and the view beautiful. I highly recommend it. You can grab something to eat or drink right after your hike.

This is our second time here, and this time for three weeks. Very friendly hosts, and the food is delicious. The rooms are very well-kept, and the view from the balcony of the Watzmann and the Wimmbach Gorge is a dream… like a fairytale. We can only highly recommend it with complete satisfaction.

We went to this restaurant for dinner today and we thought it was incredibly good!! Very nice staff, and the food is absolutely amazing!! Dog wasn't a problem either. All in all really absolutely great!!!

We were there in February and they didn't have Bavarian delicacies but rather American specialty weeks. But these are also absolutely recommended 👍Very good, very plentiful. Absolutely insanely delicious food! The Kaiserschmarrn in particular was amazing – fluffy, sweet and perfectly prepared. Each of us also loved the main courses – typical Bavarian food, very tasty and perfectly prepared. We were totally thrilled and will definitely come back. Clear recommendation!

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms. Had lunch there. A couple of great pubs. Very nice and fast service. Food delicious. The restaurant is quaint and cozy.

A rustic inn in a top location at the beginning of the Wimbach Tales. If you only want to eat there, you should take the small climb up to the inn to your own parking spaces and avoid the 6 EUR (minimum amount!) parking fee for general visitors. The inn has a chestnut beer garden and two indoor dining rooms. The menu is very extensive and the prices are fair and bearable. The quality is very good and the service is friendly. A special feature is that it is open until a maximum of 6 p.m., but overall it is highly recommended for lunch and afternoon.

This restaurant offers standard German food. You will find roast pork, schnitzel, dumplings, etc. I had the jaegerschnitzel which was served with a very generous helping of gravy.

Were here for dinner. Meals excellent, portions absolutely sufficient, value for money absolutely justified. Very nice beer garden. Really recommended. 👍

Went to eat in the beer garden after a previous hike. Very nice service. Food was well prepared and tasty. Price/performance ratio fits well. Enjoy it... Many other guests were eating outside. Thank you! I can't rate the hotel itself with rooms etc.

I would like to give even more stars than there are ;) We sought shelter from the rain after a hike to the Wimbachklamm. We received a very friendly welcome! We chose a seat inside. We immediately had drinks at the table. We actually didn't want to go out to eat. But we won't forget THAT. We have never eaten such a good schnitzel with alpine cheese filling and Kaiserschmarrn. Thank you very much for this little highlight on our vacation. Very nice people and waitresses. Everything was super clean and very lovingly furnished

Delicious dinner there yesterday and great service! Ate spare ribs with fries with my friend. The meat just fell off the bone! You also get a nice big plate full! If you are a big eater, you can enjoy a full plate of food here. Good location also near the Wimmbachklamm. The only pity is that you have to pay parking fees there.

After a 10 km hike, the optimal location

Went here to the inn after a visit to the Wimbachklamm (without informing in advance) and were pleasantly surprised. Very sumptuous and tasty food, A1 service, not too expensive for the food in connection with the location.

We had a very good meal here and would happily recommend it to others.

Today we ate the Ramsauer Kaas schnitzel with potato salad, Kassspatzn and together the yeast dumplings filled with blueberries. Everything was excellent and absolutely recommended. We will be back definitely !

Excellent cuisine, very friendly team and great location 😍 It's understandable that they close at 6 p.m. ... if there were more staff to be found, 7 or 8 p.m. would be better ... then you wouldn't have to have dinner so early. In my opinion the best cuisine in Ramsau!

Everything was perfect. Comfy rooms w great views from the balcony. Incredible food. Richard and the other hosts were very welcoming. I would stay again.

The food was very tasty. What's great is that there is also the option to order smaller portions. The vegan "schnitzel" (actually more of a vegetable thaler) was also very good and something different compared to the usual vegetarian dishes in the region.

We recommend! Tiptop gastronomy, nice hosts, great breakfast, clean, historic, beautiful location - the only note: the bed in “Leni” was much too soft for us, we could only compensate for the uncomfortable “rest” by putting our head towards the foot end slept on the bed. But then it worked! Maybe check the mattress and slatted frame and replace it if necessary. In any case, we'll come back again.

Прекрасные дружелюбные хозяева! Хороший номер, с балконом, удобная кровать. Хороший завтрак! Мы ужинали в их великолепном ресторане. Тыквенный суп я ела во многих местах, но тут!.. Это была вкусовая поэзия! Очень нежный, приятные специи, сверху посыпан тоненькой стружкой из сушеной тыквы. Шницель с альпийским сыром внутри. Можно выбрать вид присыпки для шницелей: мы выбрали особую, с зернами и семечками! Благодарим за вкусный ужин! За заботу!

Das war das beste Hähnchenschnitzel was ich jemals gegessen habe. Keine Sehnen, super zart und eine knusprige Kerndlpanade. Auch die Pommes waren lecker gewürzt.

Waren spontan dort essen und haben freundlicherweise noch ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich und preislich absolut angemessen. Das urige Ambiente fügt sich wunderbar ins Bild. Besuch empfehlenswert

Wir sind dort nach einer Wanderung eingekehrt und haben uns für den tollen Kaiserschmarrn entschieden. Ganz großes Kino: Ganze Äpfel und kein Apfelmus. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und hat uns auch direkt vorgewarnt das man den Kaiserschmarrn auch als kleine Portion bestellen kann. (Wir hatten dann die"normale" bestellt. Die Portionen sind im allgemeinen eher groß anzusehen. (auch das was wir an den Nachbartischenngesehen hatten)

Das Wirtshaus ist am Fuß der Wimbachklamm gelegen. Das Essen war gut bürgerlich und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich.

Wir haben heute auf unserer Wanderung über den Schattseitweg eine Rast eingelegt. Im Schatten unter den Bäumen war es sehr erholsam und gemütlich. Sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Auch im Innenbereich sieht es sehr gemütlich aus.

Optische ein Traum! Super nette Inhaber, nahezu perfekter Service und dazu noch super essen! Perfekt, mehr kann man hierzu nicht sagen. Jederzeit wieder! Reservieren für abends ist sehr wichtig, nahezu immer ausgebucht. Danke an euch und euer Team!

Nette Besitzer, gutes Essen, Zimmer völlig ausreichend. Wir waren für eine Nacht auf Durchreise hier. Den Wimbachklamm war noch das i Tüpfelchen. Herrlich ruhige Ecke, auch für ein etwas tiefer gelegtes Auto gut erreichbar. Parkplätze gibt es direkt vorm Haus. Das Frühstück war toll, alles liebevoll morgens schon hergerichtet mit Sonderwunscherfüllung. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal her. Lieben Dank für die schöne, wenn auch sehr kurze Zeit

Tolles Wirtshaus unterhalb der Wimbachklamm mit hervorragendem Essen und super Service. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist top, auf jedenfall eine klare Empfehlung für jeden. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder.

Das Essen war hervorragend! Die Haxe war fantastisch zart, die Serviettenknödel und das Kraut sehr sehr lecker. Ebenso die Bärlauchkaaspätzle! Portionen sind groß genug zum satt werden. Der Service wirklich toll: aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und schnell. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Jeder Zeit wieder. Da das Haus am Montag, Dienstag immer Ruhetag hat können wir "leider" nicht kommen. Diesmal war Feiertag (Montag und offen) . Hurra .....wir können nur Montag und Dienstag .... man muss das einfach empfehlen. Liebevolle Betreuung durch die Kellnerin, aufmerksam, einfach nur lieb. Was wir gegessen haben einfach egal, alles hervorragend. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir frei haben und das Haus geöffnet ist.

Nach der Besichtigung der Wimbachklamm und der Wanderung zur Wimbachgrieshütte habe ich im Wirtshaus Hocheck einen ganzen geräuchterten Saibling für 10,90 Euro zum Mitnehmen gekauft. Der Fisch wurde erst beim Kauf vakuumiert verpackt und hält sich 2 Wochen im Kühlschrank. Wenn man eine Unterkunft mit Kühlschrank hat. Ich wusste mir aber zu helfen und habe den Saibling bis zu meiner Abreise 3 Tage auf den Balkon meines Pensionszimmers ausquartiert. Die lange Rückreise ins Rheinland hat er auch ohne Kühlung gut überstanden und wurde zu Hause angekommen alsbald verspeist. Mir hat er in zwei Portionen WUNDERBAR geschmeckt: einmal zu selbstgemachtem Apfel-Meerrettich-Schmand und als Brotzeit auf Kräuter-Frischkäse. Lecker!

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub zweimal dort. Einmal nach einer langen Wanderung für eine Brotzeit und einmal zum Abendessen. Das Essen war einfach nur lecker und mit Liebe zubereitet und präsentiert. Die freundliche und herzliche Art ist kaum zu übertreffen! Nächstes Jahr kommen wir gerne wieder . LG , die Margardt's 🙂
