Great Bavarian food, quick service. They even have a few nights a week where people are playing cards.

We were there for just to drink beer , and they were selling Agustiner. Always a good choice. We sat in the garden , it was lovely autumn and nice atmosphere with lights. Super fast service and kind staff. Beer costs 4.5 Euro which is more affordable than other places in Munich. It is a nice place to visit after a walk by Isar.

We were here again today. The lunch special was absolutely delicious: salad with schnitzel strips. They have daily lunch specials. The service was, as always, excellent. No waiting time! We'll definitely be back.

We wanted to watch the 1860 game and had made a reservation specifically for it. Unfortunately, we were told that the game wasn't being shown on the big screen, so we had to squeeze into the smallest corner of the bar with 25 other people, where the view was also obscured by a large lamp. The reason: The Reds' game had to be shown. Too bad, I thought Giesing was blue. Next time we'll have our beer—admittedly a lot—somewhere else. It would have been nice if they'd known beforehand; then we would have gone somewhere else.

Fair prices but unfortunately very unfriendly waitress

Completely absurd prices for the cheap quality of the food. I just ordered a mixed salad with turkey strips for almost €18 via Uber Eats. What arrived was abysmal; it looked and tasted like a ready-made salad from the supermarket for €5... I can't comment on the service or ambiance.

What a beautiful place in the south of Munich. We had outstanding food and excellent service. The beer is very easy to digest, and Ms. Wenng is very accommodating. She checked in with us every five minutes and asked if we needed anything. Now that's what I call tough on customers. We will definitely be back. A full five stars for this place.

Generally speaking: a good restaurant. The food is really good, Augustiner beer – solid so far. I've been there a few times, and today it was too much. The waiter didn't even ask if we wanted anything else; we initiated all orders. Was it busy? Not really. My companion had a plate of Obazdn (traditional Austrian sausage), which was completely eaten, and it just sat there for over an hour and a half. We had a reservation for two people, were seated at a table for four, and after 30 minutes, two more guests came to our table. Did I ask if that was okay? Not really. Who was the waiter? I have no idea what his name was; he wears glasses and has a bun. But that was truly the worst service I've ever experienced.

The value for money is good, and there's a wide selection of dishes. The food was delicious, but you'll need to allow some time.

I ordered Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn online. The schnitzel and salad were okay. The fries were a disaster, and the Kaiserschmarrn was a real disappointment. It was just batter fried in fat. No almonds, no raisins. Nothing. And all that for 18 euros. Never again.

I can't comment on the food. The two of us wanted to sit outside; they said there was no rush, and we didn't need a reservation. We were repeatedly directed to a specific waitress who was supposed to seat us in her area, but she didn't arrive for over 10 minutes. The other seats (empty tables outside the beer garden) weren't allowed to be occupied because there were only three waitresses outside. After the aforementioned waitress finally came by, she replied, almost annoyed, that there were no seats available – several tables for four were occupied by one or two people. I think they should have asked everyone if anyone would mind having more people join them. But they apparently didn't need to. The two groups of two after us were just as unlucky. We ended up going somewhere else where everything worked out perfectly.

The Giesinger Garten is highly recommended, not least because it embodies the typical Munich restaurant. It's good both inside and out; the food could certainly be better, but the prices are fair and the service is quick and attentive. So: Candidplatz + 6 minutes on foot! Cheers!

We made a reservation for two people a week in advance for a Saturday evening. It went smoothly; we were able to sit down early at our designated table and were given the menu shortly after. Ten minutes later, our Wiener Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu with a side salad arrived. We enjoyed both very much. The apple strudel was also good. Overall, the food, service, and value for money were good, and we would return!

The roast pork is not recommended. Even if it looks okay in the photo, the taste was unfortunately not up to par. The meat was tough, the coleslaw lacked freshness, and the dumplings and sauce tasted like convenience foods.

The food was okay. Unfortunately, the waitress practically ignored us completely. The meals arrived at completely different times. One dish even arrived after everyone had already eaten, even though we had explicitly stated that we wanted to eat at the same time (including dessert). The waitress wasn't particularly friendly either. It took us three attempts to pay. When one of our group refused to tip, the waiter became rude and loud, complaining loudly about us to other guests.

The food wasn't bad. But unfortunately, the waiters were truly rude: they waited forever and asked repeatedly before paying. At the next table, no tip was left, which caused the waiter to get loud and yell at the other guests. That's unacceptable.

We were at Giesinger Garten again yesterday. Once again, we had terrible service. The waitress a few weeks ago (an older employee) repeatedly made us wait forever and often just stood there, seemingly not wanting to see us or sell us anything. The waitress at the next table (a nice, younger employee) kept serving us. And yesterday's service was truly rude!!

One of Munich's lovely, small, traditional, and lesser-known pubs with beer gardens. Easily accessible, more than reasonable prices for truly good Bavarian food, and pleasant service. Great location, the interior is traditional and perfectly fine, but the highlight for me is the beer garden. Beautiful (despite the current scaffolding on the building), shady, quiet, and cozy. There's also a large playground nearby. Highly recommended - I wish I'd found it sooner.

A real gem in Giesing! The Gießinger Garden is simply delicious – in the truest sense of the word! From the first fork to the last sip you feel completely at home here. The dishes are lovingly prepared, fresh and modern. Plus a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, attentive service and a beautiful garden, especially in summer.

We come from Wuppertal and we ended our weekend trip with my son in this inn, good service and delicious food.

Very good Bavarian restaurant. The giant schnitzels are great. Games from 1860 and Bavaria are shown in a cozy atmosphere. Our regular restaurant for family meals or when we have guests from abroad who want to try REAL Bavarian food of good quality at higher, but still fair, prices, like everywhere else. The beer garden is also really nice under the chestnut trees. Service always top👍

The Giesinger Garden is a great location that you can actually always go to when you are thirsty or hungry. There is e.g. B. AUGUSTINER light alcohol-free and a delicious salad with baked goat cheese, roast pork or burger. The audience is calm and the waitresses are on the ball and friendly. When the weather is nice, you can also sit outside in the beer garden. And it's great that the prices are still within reasonable limits. Keep it up!

We had a reservation with you and everything started very positively. The first waitress - a gentleman - was extremely professional, friendly and attentive. He also cashed us in (€445), and until then we were completely satisfied. Unfortunately, the mood changed completely when a second, much younger service worker came to us. An hour after paying, she rudely asked us when we were finally leaving because she was expecting new guests. We found this extremely disrespectful - especially since we had just ordered desserts that hadn't even been at the table yet. We celebrated our company anniversary with you this evening – and not for the first time. Unfortunately it will be the last time. In total we left almost €710 and actually expected to be able to continue eating and drinking in peace. Unfortunately, this behavior was anything but professional and negatively overshadowed the entire evening.

so friendly, so delicious! We ordered something to pick up over the phone. Everything on site was quick, everyone was “in the loop” and friendly. The portions were huge and so delicious. This is often very different from ordering/picking up. Unfortunately I haven't been there to eat for a while, but it was always very tasty, friendly and the price/performance ratio was definitely right!

The food here is great, especially the cordon bleu or the Munich schnitzel. There are also fried potatoes and a salad. The price-performance ratio is also great and the service is always friendly!

I would give 0 stars if it were possible. We sat at the table for 15 minutes after being asked there. We weren't even looked at let alone served.

Amazing local Bavarian food outside of the hustle and bustle of the city center. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered their pork schnitzel and substituted the fries for the potato salad. It also came with a small salad. My friend ordered their cordon bleu. For dessert we had they’d apple strudel that was hot and came with ice cream and whipping cream. With 4 beers. It was all 59 euros.

Super delicious turkey breast salad, the dressing is a dream. Nice service, relaxed, Bavarian cosiness. The sheepheads knocked hard, but that's part of it. 👋

The service and ambience are great, the prices are totally okay for Munich standards! The food was good in itself, I had the roast pork with dumplings and cabbage. The dumplings and cabbage were delicious, the meat was very crispy, although the cook seems to have missed the "Maria Hilf" a bit when mixing the sauce Nevermind, next time it will definitely work better ;-) I would definitely go again.
