We come from Wuppertal and we ended our weekend trip with my son in this inn, good service and delicious food.

The Giesinger Garden is a great location that you can actually always go to when you are thirsty or hungry. There is e.g. B. AUGUSTINER light alcohol-free and a delicious salad with baked goat cheese, roast pork or burger. The audience is calm and the waitresses are on the ball and friendly. When the weather is nice, you can also sit outside in the beer garden. And it's great that the prices are still within reasonable limits. Keep it up!

Very good Bavarian restaurant. The giant schnitzels are great. Games from 1860 and Bavaria are shown in a cozy atmosphere. Our regular restaurant for family meals or when we have guests from abroad who want to try REAL Bavarian food of good quality at higher, but still fair, prices, like everywhere else. The beer garden is also really nice under the chestnut trees. Service always top👍

We had a reservation with you and everything started very positively. The first waitress - a gentleman - was extremely professional, friendly and attentive. He also cashed us in (€445), and until then we were completely satisfied. Unfortunately, the mood changed completely when a second, much younger service worker came to us. An hour after paying, she rudely asked us when we were finally leaving because she was expecting new guests. We found this extremely disrespectful - especially since we had just ordered desserts that hadn't even been at the table yet. We celebrated our company anniversary with you this evening – and not for the first time. Unfortunately it will be the last time. In total we left almost €710 and actually expected to be able to continue eating and drinking in peace. Unfortunately, this behavior was anything but professional and negatively overshadowed the entire evening.

so friendly, so delicious! We ordered something to pick up over the phone. Everything on site was quick, everyone was “in the loop” and friendly. The portions were huge and so delicious. This is often very different from ordering/picking up. Unfortunately I haven't been there to eat for a while, but it was always very tasty, friendly and the price/performance ratio was definitely right!

The food here is great, especially the cordon bleu or the Munich schnitzel. There are also fried potatoes and a salad. The price-performance ratio is also great and the service is always friendly!

I would give 0 stars if it were possible. We sat at the table for 15 minutes after being asked there. We weren't even looked at let alone served.

Amazing local Bavarian food outside of the hustle and bustle of the city center. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered their pork schnitzel and substituted the fries for the potato salad. It also came with a small salad. My friend ordered their cordon bleu. For dessert we had they’d apple strudel that was hot and came with ice cream and whipping cream. With 4 beers. It was all 59 euros.

Super delicious turkey breast salad, the dressing is a dream. Nice service, relaxed, Bavarian cosiness. The sheepheads knocked hard, but that's part of it. 👋

The service and ambience are great, the prices are totally okay for Munich standards! The food was good in itself, I had the roast pork with dumplings and cabbage. The dumplings and cabbage were delicious, the meat was very crispy, although the cook seems to have missed the "Maria Hilf" a bit when mixing the sauce Nevermind, next time it will definitely work better ;-) I would definitely go again.

We reserved a table for 9 people for our Christmas party. Luckily there were only 6 of us in the end as the table would definitely have been too small for 9. Otherwise I had the Munich Schnitzel, which tasted great. The staff was very friendly, but could have come to the table more often. Very successful stay!😍

The menu offers Bavarian classics such as schnitzel and creative options – also for vegetarians. The whole thing is perfectly complemented by attentive staff who always ensure a feel-good atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

We got food, it was quick and the waiters are very friendly! They tasted typical Bavarian dishes, but the weekly menu had currywurst that was definitely made with a ready-made sauce and unfortunately it wasn't good. We had the same thing with a chili once.

Food really good, service impeccable. But interrupting the game broadcast from TSV 1860 to show the FCB, or even to show the FCB in Giesing, is not possible!

We sat outside on a sunny Sunday at the end of October and were immediately noticed. In no time we had the menu at the table and could order. Very friendly and attentive service. We'd love to come back.

It offers a home feeling because I feel like I can always go there, and there will always be warm food and good drinks. Very cozy and has a lot of space both inside and outside.

What can I say: A person next to us vomited on the table during the stay, at 7:30 p.m. This limited the overall experience somewhat. Maybe keep an eye on it here and only sell beer as long as it makes sense. Otherwise the prices are okay for Minga. Had roast pork and cheese spaetzle. Both were technically okay and as expected. Not exceptional but okay.

The Kaiserschmarren was fantastic! I don't normally like sweets and I only wanted to try a small piece with my husband, but it was so delicious that my husband had to share it with me. We came across this restaurant by chance and were very impressed. Everyone is friendly, the food came very quickly even though it was busy, no one was pushy and yet they always came at exactly the right moment to ask if we had everything. We really enjoyed the food. The portions were also just right. We will definitely come back!

Geisinger Garten offers a true taste of traditional German cuisine in a charming, rustic setting. They’re particularly noted for their extensive range of Augustiner beers which do not disappoint. They offer a large amount of indoor and outdoor seating areas too, fit for small to large groups. The food was hearty, flavourful, and averagely priced. I’d recommend it for its authentic atmosphere and generous portions - perfect for anyone wanting a genuine Bavarian and laidback dining experience.

We ordered here for the first time yesterday via Lieferando. 2x the oven-fresh roast pork with coleslaw and dumplings. The dishes were hot when delivered, which is already a plus. And then: The roast pork, a decently large portion, absolutely delicious, meat beautifully tender, taste excellent. Dumplings on point, coleslaw also very good. There was even a large piece of crispy rind. We were very impressed. The portion wasn't exactly cheap - but if I go to a restaurant in Harlaching/Grünwald, from experience it's at least the same price - and not as good in quality! If there was anything to note at all, a little more of the great sauce wouldn't be bad :-) Overall conclusion: Absolute recommendation and we will definitely order from Giesinger Garten more often.

The staff is fantastic and the food is delicious. Order the Käsespätzle and the Kaiserschmarrn!! This is a great restaurant for Americans!!

Very nice Bavarian inn. The service was very friendly and attentive, the dishes tasted good. The furnishings could be described as rustic. A bit inconveniently located too far away from the subway for me.

Was there again for the first time in 9 years. Things used to be much better. Now you're just ignored and don't get a card. I've never experienced anything like that. After a while we got up and went to the Greek restaurant. It was beautiful and delicious there. Never again Giesinger Garden.

Unfortunately, I have to say that there is a blind waitress there who treated me and my friends extremely unfairly. She intentionally dropped a light one and pushed it on my friend. Good store unfortunately unfriendly staff :/

We really enjoy coming to the Giesinger Garden. Food, service and atmosphere, really top.

The lunch menu was raised to 9.90 euros some time ago. That would be ok. However, the roast pork portion was reduced at the same time. The onion roast cost 16.90 euros a year ago, then 19.90. Meanwhile 26.90. The price-performance ratio no longer fits. Sausage salad and Obazda still cost the same as before, but the portion is about 40% less. Today I ordered fried chicken for 16.90 euros. I got a breaded chicken breast. Sorry dear chef, but you obviously don't know what a fried chicken is. The waitress wanted to pass on the complaint. I didn't receive a response. You used to be a nice Bavarian restaurant with a good price-performance ratio. I think you've lost a lot of that. I was there about 25 times a year - you'll have to do without me in the future.

Many options, good prices, nice garden

Yesterday we were in the Giesinger Garden again for a long time. The service was nice and pleasant. I had a duck shred burger from the daily menu. A creative idea in itself and the burger was good too. You just have to say that the fries as a side dish were so inferior, that in retrospect you are annoyed that you accepted it like that. Really the cheapest rock-hard fries, any outdoor pool kiosk can do them even better. This confirms to me again that the Giesinger Garden is nice for sitting outside and having a drink, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for eating. The price level used to be much fairer, so things like this were still accepted. With the current prices you have a certain expectation of the food.

Great garden under trees with sufficient shade even on hot days. The food was very good to my taste and the waiting time was short. For people who like to sit outdoors, it is a small island in our urban jungle. I really liked it and when I come back to Munich I will take my next break and have a good meal. - Oh, before I forget, prices are moderate and tend to be too cheap - value for money is absolutely ok for me. Finding a parking space is a matter of patience😉

I would like to warn every potential customer not to visit this establishment! Apparently salads/mushrooms, among other things, are not cleaned properly before they are served to the guest. I had stones in my salad with chanterelles and damaged two of my teeth (the result was a long dentist appointment and costs of around 200 euros). When I immediately told the waiter about this, all I got was “hm, okay…” The operators, the Kustatscher family, also left a postal letter about the incident unanswered. It's sad when the well-being of your guests means so little to you. There are so many great taverns and innkeepers in Munich - but I will avoid this place in the future.

Actually always good! But the miniature potato soup, tastes good, more of a “soup”, for 7.50!!! with maybe half a wiener I thought was awesome... in a tiny little blue pot. But no one has solved “all you know how to have fun”...

The food was delicious. However, the tattooed and pierced waitress was unfortunately unfriendly, she was in a bad mood, she didn't show a smile, and she threw the papers on the table when we didn't tip, without saying goodbye or wishing you a nice day. Not recommended at all :(

Unfortunately the food has gotten worse and worse. This used to be a good place. That's why we always gave the Giesinger Garden another chance. But the plates are always smeared. The lettuce wilted. Everything seems extremely loveless. Even though we generally had good experiences with the service, I can only advise against the food.

Nice beer garden, as it should be, not like the many impersonal money machines here in M. Served quickly, food arrived quickly. Conditions friendly. Only more than 5€ for a small salad and more than 14€ for cream mushrooms with, at least 2, dumplings is too expensive! A little salt in the sauce would also be recommended. But there was salt and pepper at the table, so it was delicious when seasoned. Nevertheless, I'll come back.

We ate here today with 4 people and after waiting almost 2 hours for our food, we decided not to tip. The waitress was then very unfriendly and said that it was the last thing to leave a tip on a bill of €99.30. As we were leaving she said to me “now get out of here”. When I got home I did the math again based on the menu and my companion did the same again. We all came to a total price of €91.30. Something seems to be wrong here or a mistake has been made, now I regret not having the bill given to me. If anyone wants to do the math: 2× Cola 2× juice spritzer (passion fruit and cherry) 2× Schnitzel Viennese style 2× cream mushrooms with bread dumplings 1× Kaiserschmarn I really enjoyed eating here and was happy to give a tip, but this time we just didn't think it was deserved. The waitress has scared away customers and we won't be coming back. The family at the table next to us also didn't leave a tip for the same reasons: long waiting times and unfriendly service. She also asked about it directly so that everyone in the restaurant would know.

Arriving in Munich the same day, we decided to have dinner in this brasserie. What a desappointment ! The place, the atmosphere and the terrace are very nice but that’s all!!! Oh yes the beers… a delight! For the rest, everything else, forget it!!!! The waiters are barely friendly, not a smile and barely a good evening… it’s true that we don’t speak German but do our best to make ourselves understood. As for the food, it’s a joke! A burger for €16.90 with overcooked steak, a bun bought at the local supermarket and a poor sauce Don't take the flamkuche goat's cheese, pear and honey cream!! I didn’t see the cream and even less the honey! No taste no pleasure A summer salad with pork, if we put aside that everything is in a bag, it was undoubtedly the best plate! And all this for the modest sum of €92.30!!! The icing on the cake, when paying, the waitress (unpleasant) asks us if we want to tip... not really wanting to but hey I round it up to €93 (I know it's a bit ratty... but frankly it's is already too expensive to pay) and from that moment on, we were totally pissed off!!! You can imagine that the “goodbye” never happened!! Basically run away except for a beer!

Was there for the round of 16 of the European Championships in the beer garden. I liked it. Obatzda and beer were tasty. Service was good.

Unfortunately, the food is just average for the prices. Service does bring what you ordered, but you can also wait 20 minutes for a drink - but the main thing is to enlarge the outside area, even though you can't handle that. With the Giesinger Garden you go through various ups and downs. I usually have nice service and good food, but more and more recently the food has just been bland and not really worth the price. Of course, it has to happen quickly and there is a lot of rush. But in my opinion the quality should not suffer. They made a name for themselves during Corona, I guess precisely because the guests couldn't be there. In other words, yes, the Giesinger Garden can and offers many advantages, but be it due to a lack of staff (as is common in the industry) or something similar, the quality has declined significantly in recent years. I found the situation particularly strange when I was last there with regular guests who always swear loyalty to the Giesinger Garden and couldn't share my experiences. They defended the Giesinger Garden and admitted that they had also heard criticism like mine, but had never experienced it themselves. These regular guests had been sitting outside in the beer garden for hours (more than 6 hours) to get a good spot on the weekend and linger, but (I come from the catering industry myself) they were not honored in my opinion. Even when they made another reservation for the next day and asked the clearly stressed “boss” (?) a question, they were treated like air. This is completely foreign to me and I hereby appeal to the innkeepers - despite the prevailing criticism - to allow themselves time, a kind word or a drink on the house, especially for these guests.
