I was here again after many years. A lovely, relaxed place where I enjoyed stopping by. A mixed crowd, great cakes, and delicious draft lager. Friendly service. The visit was very pleasant!

A wonderfully quaint restaurant in the heart of Haidhausen. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the boiled beef and the pork belly with dark beer sauce. Prices are really fair and the staff is incredibly friendly.

Waited for 30+ minutes for a bread based cold breakfast. No cola zero, only sugar based drinks. Nice selection of cakes. Service could be way more friendly.

A beautiful restaurant with a suburban feel in the heart of the city. The young owners are well-prepared for their guests thanks to a clear menu of excellent dishes. With the joyful, fun, and cheerful service, this is a must-visit restaurant. Card payments are accepted, and reservations are highly recommended. This restaurant is very popular for a reason. My wife and I will definitely be back. We were there on October 18th, and unfortunately, the outdoor area was closed due to the weather. But with the right weather, it must be romantically beautiful here, too.

We arrived at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday without a reservation. Friendly staff gave us a table that wasn't available for another 1.5 hours. We ordered a small roast pork and beef goulash, and they were served quite quickly. Good quality and friendly service. We'll be back.

The Wiener Schnitzel, Spätzle, and potato salad were very good! A definite recommendation!

Quaint restaurant. The street is a journey back to the 18th century and worth the walk alone. I recommend the venison goulash followed by poppy seed cake.

A Munich classic, cozy and family-friendly for decades. It used to be my local in Haidhausen. Unfortunately, the prices have risen more than the quality, so it's no longer a good fit. And last Sunday, I even got yesterday's bread for breakfast, even though there are plenty of bakeries in Munich that bake on Sundays (including right here in the neighborhood...) What a shame. A gem in decline...

Cozy, casual Bavarian restaurant. We tried the white sausage which was lovely - citrusy, light and mild. The breakfasts were lovely.

An attempt at an objective assessment: still a friendly, cozy pub, but honestly not worth the money. Small portions, vegetables over-seasoned, noodles warmed up and not fresh. In addition, service is overwhelmed, orders don't come, drinks take forever. I'm sorry because I actually like the shop, but: I'm a lost guest. Sad.

To be honest, the fish patties were more like bread patties! Very disappointing! It's bad when the host doesn't know his own menu!

The food and beer are delicious! The sauerkraut is especially tasty, and the meat is very tender. However, the food takes a long time to be served. We visited on a weekend evening without a reservation, and there were no available seats inside. Fortunately, we found a spot outside. The guidance for guests could be improved. Since it was our first restaurant visit on this trip and we didn’t have a reservation, it was unclear whether we were supposed to wait outside or do something else. If you visit without a reservation, you can take an available outdoor seat when one opens up.

Small, rustic restaurant. Exactly what you would expect. Good quality food, even late, and friendly and attentive service. Cheap for Munich standards. You can get Hofbräu beer here.

The roast pork used to be with a dark sauce, the finest... recently different, but all other dishes, as always, delicious. A cozy atmosphere with charm and tradition and it's great that there is an inn where Schafkopf is still played. I'll be back again soon, including for my birthday. Sitting outside in autumn, the atmosphere is simply brilliant.

Unfortunately that was nothing. I asked if a vegan dish was possible and they said yes. By the way, it's perfectly fine to say that it doesn't fit, then I can move on. But then after half an hour just sending dry couscous without dressing with melon was very disappointing. At least the nice service noticed and we got oil and pepper and had to pay less. I would be happy to communicate more boldly that we recommend going somewhere else :)

....and for the fourth time I got a herpes virus infection in the monastery! The fact that the glasses are not washed hygienically here (probably to save electricity) is really outrageous. just by the way: it is clear that the herpes infection came from the beer glass in the monastery. Likewise the three previous times It's also a shame that the beer grains in the glass collapse after 2 minutes and the beer is served lukewarm (electricity is probably also saved on cooling).

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the service that day was a bit chaotic. Some of the tables inside were very close to each other.

I'm torn. Because I like the store and enjoy coming here. But there is also legitimate criticism, and this primarily concerns the service. The colleagues are clearly trying hard and are also very friendly. The experience only stumbles over the many small negligences. There are the waiting times, which can range from completely acceptable to completely out of the question, and there is also the generally poor communication. If a court is out, the information about it must not take 20 minutes. Unfortunately, as an outsider you often have the impression of a constant hectic pace. Many paths seem to double as you run, also because you are always trying to do several things at the same time. Less is more. You could definitely copy that from the kitchen. There really aren't many dishes, but they are so cleverly chosen that everyone can find something to suit them and they are also excellently prepared. Here, traditional pub dishes are very carefully brought into the modern era. Everything tastes familiar and has a kick to it. My favorite pub at the moment.

We just drank a beer and played cards, which fortunately is allowed here. Here's what amazed me: when we came the place was full and we didn't have a reservation. We were already back on the street when the nice young man at the counter rushed after us to tell us that guests were leaving. I found that really particularly nice and engaging!!! Thank you again😊

The food was very tasty and the service was friendly. The fresh peppermint tea was lovely. I have never had the pearl barley risotto anywhere as tasty as in the Gaststätte Zum Kloster. Unfortunately, a dish we ordered was not delivered, but was added to the bill. We said that, and after a quick consultation with the kitchen, the service apologized and corrected the bill immediately. Great conflict management, please keep it that way. I'd love to come back, after all I want to eat the dumpling at some point if I order it :)

Ein Ort zum erholen und essen, einfach das.👍

Wir waren hier mit etwa 12 Personen und leider war das Essen weit weg von gut. Die kaspressknödel waren trocken und ohne Soße nur mit Salat ... Schlecht Der Schweinebraten als braten vom wollschwein angepriesen, mit zwei kleinen Knödeln und schlechtem Geschmack. Der Salat lieblos angerichtet und angemacht. Der Service leider machtlos ... Schade - sieht besser aus als es ist. Ging allen beteiligten Personen so. Wohne dort ums Eck und werde den laden weder erneut besuchen, noch weiter empfehlen! Ändert was! Das geht mit einfachen mitteln besser!!!

Sehr schöne alte Wirtschaft, sehr gute Küche, guter Service. Im Sommer sitzt man wunderschön draußen.

Freundlicher Service und lecker wars auch. Nur die Portionen hätten deutlich großzügiger sein können; gerne dann auch für 2-3Eur mehr

Ulkiges Ambiente, ein hervorragender Außenbereich in einem kleinstädtisch anmutenden Bezirk. Günstige Preise für Münchener Verhältnisse, aber leider (mittlerweile ode nur heute??) Sehr mäßige Küche. Insgesamt dennoch eindeutig eine Empfehlung Wieder Mal da. Essen wird konstant schlecht. Schade.

Spitze. Wenn ich nur ein Lokal im Münchner Osten für sehr gute Münchner Küche empfehlen würde, dann wäre es das Kloster. Aber: Immer gut gefüllt, also besser reservieren. Vegetarische Küche ist sehr eingeschränkt, aber es findet sich immer was.

Wunderschöne kleine Gaststätte in der schönsten Straße Münchens. Kleine Speisekarte mit sehr leckerem Essen. Vegetarisch ist auch immer dabei.

Seit Jahrzehnten: beste Kneipe überhaupt! Tolle Terrasse, lecker Frühstück, super Essen zu ehrlichen Preisen. Ambiente gemütlich und einladend.

Schöne Gaststätte zum draußen sitzen. Auch nettes Personal und gute Preise. Allerdings gibt es ein Stern Abzug da auf meinem Kaffee leider ein Haar gelandet ist. (War kein Weltuntergang für mich, allerdings reagieren viele Empfindlicher darauf). Trotzdem würde ich wiederkommen 😄👍🏻

Schön und klassisch. Sehr aufmerksam Bedienung.

Wunderbar, hier mitten im geschäftigen München einen solchen Ort der Stille und des Friedens beschirmt unter der Sonne zu finden. Leider war das ansonsten sehr nette Personal überfordert bei Tempo und Service und die Auswahl an Speisen extrem dünn. Ein Lokal, das sich als bayrische Küche bezeichnet und Mittagessen anbietet, darf schon mehr als ein einziges warmes bayrisches Gericht (Schweinsbraten war auch wirklich gut!) auf die Karte setzen. Da die anderen Gerichte dann teils auch gar nicht verfügbar waren, wurde es eng. Die aus der Not als weiteres Essen bestellte Pasta war geschmacklich lieblos zubereitet und auf Nachfrage war sogar das Olivenöl aus: kein frischer Basilikum, keine frischen Tomaten, kein Knoblauch, kaum Öl etc an den Penne, nur sehr neutral schmeckender und viel zu schwach angebratener grüner Spargel. So langweilig, als hätte man nur haltbare Reste verwertet. Auf Reklamation hieß es nur, dass sei halt so nach Rezept. Keine Entschuldigung, kein Kaffee.

Zum Kloster ligger centralt, på en kort sidegade" Preysingstrasse", hvor husene fra forrige århundrede, lav bebyggelse, haver, hunde og børn - og hele atmosfæren lynhurtigt signalerer ro, "slap nu af", her er der intet der haster. Tonen folk imellem er venlig afslappet og udpræget lokal. Publikum hører til det yngre til midaldrende, og gætter jeg " veluddannede". Menukortet( håndskrevet og fotokopieret) er på en side, indeholdende nogle få, men standardiserede retter der med "bred pensel" indeholdt én ret med schnitzel + salat, én ren vegetarret, én italiensk inspreret pastaret og så drikkevarer uden nogen deciderede "highlights". Til undren var der ikke isterninger til vand eller sodavand m.v. Men maden var veltillavet, rigelig, men igen savnede det engagement og inspiration der løfter maden til en selvstændig god oplevelse. Skal man vælge Zum Kloster" skal valget bestemt være grundet den gennemhyggelige og personlige ramme, gæster og betjening. Kan anbefales!

Nicht wieder! + schöne Lage in netter Straße + Essensqualität - 40 min auf das Bier gewartet, dann selbst am Tresen abgeholt - Auf den Schweinsbraten haben wir knapp 1,5 h (!) gewartet, vom Nachtisch haben wir dann abgesehen. - Es wurden uns gleich 2x fremde Personengruppen an den Tisch gesetzt, obwohl wir dies abgelehnt hatten (ca. 100 cm Tisch, rund), weil uns an diesem Abend nicht nach weiterer Gesellschaft und Small Talk war. - ziemlich alternatives, patziges und unaufmerksames Personal - Im freien sitzt man teilweise unter Kirschbäumen. Aktuell fallen die überreifen Kirschen von den Bäumen. Wer Pech hat, geht mit Kirschflecken in der Kleidung nach Hause.
