Really wonderful food and friendly service. I would highly recommend.

Everything fits here! A not too big inn with a nice ambience, the best service (calm and with a full house you can still keep an eye on everything) and good food. Prices and performance are always right, even during the Oktoberfest.

My favorite place for schnitzel on Fridays

Nice restaurant with small tables on the street. Very friendly service. The Munich Schnitzel had a very tasty and crispy breading. It's a shame that I didn't order a Wiener Schnitzel there.

I was bitterly disappointed on my last visit. Food was quite expensive and not good and the beer was poured very poorly. There was, in the truest sense of the word, still a lot of room for improvement. In the end there was one beer too many on the bill, but after a long discussion this was taken down again. There are many alternatives in the district, I probably won't visit the Türkenhof again.

Nice place to eat and a nice walk

Beautiful inn in the middle of Maxvorstadt.

This is a nice place. It is in a very busy and youthful area of Munich but still accommodates old fogies like me amicably. Has a small outside eating / drinking area and the interior is bigger than expected with nice niches for you to get entrenched. A couple of games tables satisfy the younger mood and the toilets were spotless though dated - however the Gents had the funkiest hand drier I’ve seen in ages 😁 (see the photo). Recommended? Hell yes. Staff were very accommodating and it’s only 7 -8 min walk from Universitat on the U3 and U6 lines. I’ll be back. Didn’t eat there this time so no food score, sorry.

Augustiner beer, good food and a very relaxed atmosphere.

The Türkenhof is one of the best places to go for a cozy restaurant stay in Munich. The service is always friendly and helpful. Talkative people in particular enjoy dealing with the service staff, but thanks to their attentive nature, even introverted people can get their next beer by nodding. The food is freshly prepared and if there is no spaghetti on the menu, there isn't any. I can particularly recommend the restaurant for small groups, but solo travelers can also find a place here near the university. There is no bloodroot so a star deduction.

Always nice there. I haven't been there for a long time because I don't live in Munich anymore. I didn't eat there, but everything looked okay. Service was great, very friendly. Back soon!

It's nice to sit on Türkenstrasse and the service was great. However, the roast pork, which was only offered on weekends, was unfortunately subpar. Meat and sauce tasted like nothing. Dumplings are ready, also tasteless and the coleslaw is out of the bucket (I can still see the finished salad, but a bit of bacon, caraway for example could have been added). The real highlight is the glass refrigerator. This means that the beer arrives at the guest really ice cold!

I can recommend eating their chili con carne and their burgers.

Serving brown-colored asparagus is probably not an option.

Went to Türkenhof for lunch today for the first time. Friendly and attentive service. I chose “Red and brown lentils with vegetables and basmati rice” from the weekly menu. It sounds simple, but I was more than pleasantly surprised, it was really flavorful. A taste experience that I would not have expected here. Kitchen gets 5 stars from me 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 plus! It definitely wasn't the last time 😉

Beautiful location, service very attentive, beer delicious (what else could Augustiner be) and food not outstanding but good (best fries I've had in years) and absolutely fair in terms of price and performance. I can recommend it without reservation.

Price-performance ratio is right! I've been there many times now and am always surprised at how attentive and friendly the entire team is.

One of the last old school locations, that has survived the recent "upgrade" make it all posh nonsense in Schwabing. Good honest Bavarian and fusion food. There are also some table football tables in the back. It can get very busy. It is rather popular with students and locals alike..

Rather underwhelming. While the bartender provided me with a beer within 2 minute of me taking my seat, the waiter walked my numerous time over 15 minutes without checking if I am ready to order (I clearly was, if he bothered to pay attention.) I ask one question about one of the dishes (the beef roll), and he gave me no useful information except “ other customers like it.” I ordered it anyway, and its presentation and taste were both underwhelming. Not awful, but underwhelming.

Yesterday we reserved a table for 10 people at fairly short notice. Even though it was full, it was made possible. The reception was very nice, the table was free and because the waitress immediately saw that it was getting a bit tight, they immediately moved it and we had a larger table. The service was practically perfect. Very fast, super friendly, attentive. Drinks came promptly, all food at the same time. We had a good selection from Cordon Bleu to Schluzkrapfen to vegetarian dishes. And everyone was very happy. Price wise everything is totally ok for the middle of Munich. We can highly recommend the Türkenhof and will definitely visit it again when we are in Munich.

Modern version of a Bavarian inn for the young at heart. With kicker and lounge.

The staff are really very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food (Wiener Schnitzel) wasn't good at all and very expensive.

Great place for dinner with colleagues and fellow students. The food is delicious and classically Bavarian.

Bonne ambiance. La serveuse blonde est très sympathique et professionnelle. Nourriture excellente. J'enlève un point par cheveu trouvé dans mon plat de spetzels (donc deux cheveux longs et marrons).

Top Bierkultur, Ehrliche gut bis sehr gute und preiswerte Küche.

Offenbar neuer Wirt, eine Renovierung ist auch erfolgt, vorbei die Zeiten der Boazn. Sehr gutes Essen, auch prima Angebot für Vegetarier. Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Nachtrag Dez 23: weiterhin gutes Essen und schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Einziger Wermutstropfen: trotz Reservierung für 16 Personen zum Mittagessen mussten wir uns an 12 regulären Plätzen zusammenfalten.

Great Bavarian foods. We ordered Kasespatzle and schnitzel. They were both tasteful with huge portions.

Die Currywurst: Die Soße schmeckt gut. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die Wurst: Das sollte bei Currywurst IMMER eine Bratwurst sein und auch ordentlich gebraten, noch besser gegrillt. Was das hier war? Ging wohl mehr Richtung Bockwurst. NUR ein Stern Abzug, weil wenigstens vom Rind. Ambiente wie immer sehr angenehm, Service sehr gut. Freundlich und zackig.

Das Essen war tip top, schöne gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten und dazu war der Service vom Kellner Yogesh mega, sehr zuvorkommend und nett. 5 Sterne zurecht 👍🏻

Bodenständige bayrische Gaststätte mit einem sehr guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis Der Service stimmt. Große Schnitzel-Karte. Die Gerichte sind etwas deftig.

Aside from my Bavaria Bleu having a little much cheese for my taste, the food was good and the service was quick and friendly

Locale molto carino situato in zona universitaria non molto lontano dal giardino inglese e dalla centralissima marienplatz. Servizio molto rapido e cibo tipico bavarese davvero ottimo. Nello specifico abbiamo provato sia la cotoletta bavarese che il currywurst, entrambe le portate di buon livello. Buona anche la birra. Conto onesto con 36 euro per due persone. Porzioni molto abbondanti come si vede dalle foto.

To accompany bier loving German friends, I drank 1 Lt of cola :( not their fault. Käsespätzle was good.

Der Name Türkenhof erscheint einem heute etwas eigenwillig. Unabhängig von der eigenen Einstellung wäre es die Betonung, die dem Wort "Türke" seine jeweilige Bedeutung verleihen könnte und gerade in einer Zeit der politischen Neuausrichtung dieses Landes, geht einem dabei vieles im Kopf um. Tatsache ist aber auch, dass bis dato sehr viele Münchner in der Türkei ihren Urlaub verbrachten und sich gerne an die Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft der "Türken" erinnern - und dies nicht nur in deren Heimat. Die Namensgebung der Türkenstraße  geht indes auf das Jahr 1812 durch königliches Reskript zurück. Kaum vorstellbar, dass es zur damaligen Zeit viele Mitbürger gab, die türkischen Landsleuten begegnet sind. Die Namensgebung geht der Vermutung nach auf die angebliche Beteiligung türkischer Kriegsgefangener am Bau eines Bewässerungsgrabens zurück.  Ziel war es, die umliegenden Schlösser per Kanalsystem mit der Residenz zu verbinden. Als man den geschaffenen Kanal wieder zuschüttete, wurde der so entstehende Verkehrsweg Türkenstraße genannt und diese wiederum war wohl der Grund, diese Gaststätte als Türkenhof zu bezeichnen. Wir glauben, dass man lange Zeit, weniger sensibilisiert als heute, nicht groß darüber nachdachte - als Kind machte man sich auch über den "Sarotti-Mohr" keine Gedanken. Unabhängig von der Namensgebung ist der Türkenhof, trotz der gewaltigen Wandlung in diesem Teil von Schwabing, sich und damit seinen Gästen immer treu geblieben. Geholfen dabei hat sicherlich die Nähe zur Universität, wodurch Studenten einen gehörigen Teil der Wohnbevölkerung stellen. Egal, wie es um das Elternhaus bestellt ist, schätzt man die unkomplizierte und gemütliche Atmosphäre hier und ist froh darüber, dass man neben dem ausgezeichneten Augustiner Bier ganz ordentlich zu vernünftigen Preisen Speisen kann. Auch diejenigen, die ansonsten für den Wandel im Viertel eine Mitverantwortung tragen, wissen diese Atmosphäre zu schätzen - da es den Türkenhof noch gibt und dies bitte auch noch sehr lange so bleiben möge, ist dies aber lediglich eine Randnotiz und keine Ironie der Geschichte. Mehr auf turtlesurf eu ........ The name Türkenhof seems somewhat idiosyncratic today. Regardless of one's own attitude, it would be the accentuation that could give the word "Turk" its respective meaning, and especially in a time of political realignment in this country, a lot of things go round in one's head. But it is also a fact that many Munich residents have spent their holidays in Turkey and remember the warmth and hospitality of the "Turks" with pleasure - and not only in their home country. The naming of Türkenstraße, however, dates back to 1812 by royal decree. It is hard to imagine that there were many fellow citizens who encountered Turkish compatriots at that time. The naming presumably goes back to the alleged involvement of Turkish prisoners of war in the construction of an irrigation ditch. The aim was to connect the surrounding castles to the residence via a canal system. When the canal was filled in again, the resulting traffic route was called Türkenstraße and this in turn was probably the reason for calling this restaurant Türkenhof. We believe that for a long time, less sensitised than today, people didn't give it much thought - as a child, they didn't even think about the "Sarotti-Mohr". Regardless of the name, the Türkenhof has always remained true to itself and thus to its guests, despite the enormous changes in this part of Schwabing. The proximity to the university, which means that students make up a large part of the resident population, has certainly helped. No matter what the situation is, people appreciate the uncomplicated and cosy atmosphere here and are happy about the fact that, in addition to the excellent Augustiner beer, they can eat quite properly at reasonable prices.

Eine coole Mischung aus traditioneller Wirtschaft mit moderner Aufmachung. Die Kässpatzen sind mega gut! Mit gscheitem Käse und trotzdem leicht. Und ein großes Plus: Bequeme Stühle und Tische, mit denen man richtig gerne noch ein Bier länger bleibt :)

Super Kneipe zum Essen, gemütliche Sitzen und ein Bier trinken oder für ein gepflegtes Kickermatch. Nur zu Empfehlen!!

Der Türkenhof ist eine gediegene Wirtschaft mit fairen Preisen und gutem Essen. Problematisch ist jedoch der häufige Wechsel des Personals, was dann manchmal bei größeren Gruppen zu Abrechnungsproblemen führt. Man sollte sich daher unbedingt Striche auf den Filzl bei den Getränken machen lassen, dann ist das für alle kein Stress am Schluss.
