A typical Bavarian bar where everyone is on a first-name basis and you can feel comfortable. Here you still pay the tab. :-)

A very popular restaurant in the heart of Schwabing, serving Augustiner beer and delicious smaller and larger dishes.

Currywurst sauce is perfect. The fries are delicious as well. My friend also recommended California Burger.

The Gröstl wasn't really Gröstl at all, but rather a small scrambled egg with meat (and quite bland in taste). It was missing something. Otherwise, the beer on tap and the atmosphere were great. The other dishes/food looked delicious, and the feedback from others was good – only the Gröstl was disappointing.

Cosy and relaxed, tasty dishes, large servings, service both quick and friendly. Good value for money.

The Cordon Bleu was very good, the service very friendly, and the atmosphere very cozy! Plus: There are two Ullrich Sport foosball tables!

I've known the Türkenhof for ages and was just there. Unfortunately, I discovered that they're now charging €2 for a glass of lukewarm tap water with wine. I find this absolutely outrageous. RIP-OFF!!!

Great service and space. The bavarian bleu was life changing, never had anything like that before. It was fried pork stuffed with cheese onion bacon filling. Pork was tender with crispy outer while the filling was bursting with flavour. Super delicious and glad to have tried it. Fries were crispy and generous in portion. Price was reasonable as well

I even got something to eat at 10 p.m. There's also a vegan selection. Despite the lack of people, the service was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the back area is poorly ventilated.

The food was truly delicious and tasted freshly prepared. I was particularly impressed by the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff – everyone was friendly, attentive, and the food arrived very quickly. The atmosphere was pleasant, and you immediately felt at home. Nevertheless, I'm "only" giving it four stars, because while the food was really good, it wasn't quite so exceptional in taste that it deserves full marks for me. All in all, though, it's definitely recommended and worth a visit.

The roast pork (Friday-Sunday only), which is a good price for Schwabing, was delicious, as was the beer, and the service was friendly! Lovely little terrace in the shade on a quiet summer day...

The Türkenhof is exactly what you'd imagine a really good inn to be – quaint, cozy, and full of charm 🙌🏼 Delicious ice-cold beer 🍺 A culinary hit: The Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) are a dream – cheesy, hearty, with crispy fried onions 👍🏼 The absolute highlight, however, is the Bavaria Bleu – a real must-try 🧑‍🍳 The portions are great, the food is consistently delicious, and the prices are totally fair 💯 If you love Bavarian inn culture, this is the place for you 🙌🏼

Yesterday, we went to the Türkenhof with our team for a rustic foosball team event for the third time and were once again thrilled by a) the location (perfectly suited to the event with a great setup featuring two foosball tables right next to a room large enough for around 20 people plus plenty of space around the foosball tables), b) the staff (top service from Paul, Jonathan, and Dijana) and the food (top selection/quality)...so a "well-rounded experience" in the truest sense of the word...and that's why we wanted to pass this on as a tip...Best wishes and once again a BIG THANK YOU to the "Türkenhof Service Team" 👍👍👍

I've really liked the Türkenhof for years, but I think it's a cheek to charge €3 for a glass of tap water if you drink wine or beer with it. I understand that if people don't order a drink, they price it higher. But not if you order it with an already expensive drink. At 3 cents per liter of tap water, the margin is so enormous that it is no longer proportional. The last time we had to pay €12 for four glasses of tap water, in addition to the two wines and two Aperols, that hurt a bit financially.

Very, very nice and very good food. Definitely recommended. Homemade meat patties with potato and cucumber salad was my favorite.😎

Solid cuisine for an acceptable price. The menu offers a very large and varied range of dishes, both vegetarian and meat. The outdoor seating is a cozy and relaxing option when the weather is good. The service was consistently friendly.

Always a solid bank on the busy Türkenstrasse. Good value for money, decent bus, good food and always very friendly staff. It's usually very busy in the evenings, but with a little patience you can find a spot.

A great place in itself, but our visit on Wednesday evening was extremely spoiled by an abusive waitress. Even though it says online that it's open until 1 a.m., from 10.30 p.m. onwards she persistently told us to wind down because she wanted to sleep. Apart from the fact that she had no idea what the menu was or what was on offer, she also became abusive as time went on (she said she was drunk). When we asked why she didn't have a drink with us, we were told that she was classy, ​​unlike us. That was just one of the subliminal snooty comments (btw, we were a group of girls). Simply the lowest of the low, especially the way the feedback was handled at the end when paying: "We don't want any feedback, just pay and get out, I want to sleep. We won't be coming back, even though we had a lot of fun there with other waitresses. But insulting customers is completely unacceptable.

After waiting 15 minutes we left the restaurant. Very small room and yet everyone around us was served. But not us. Never again.

I was there on Sunday evening for a few drinks before an event nearby. The service was friendly and on the ball, the beer was good, prices were normal. Well attended on a Sunday evening but not overly crowded. You can also eat, many have done that, but not us. For me, a good and honest Bavarian economy.

When we still lived on Türkenstrasse, the Türkenhof was basically our second living room. There is good Augustiner beer, the service is fast, the cuisine is very good and the guests are well mixed. Students, pensioners, families, they all come together in the Türkenhof.

In sober - out drunk. What more could you want?

I have been a guest of the TH for many years. The food and drinks, as well as the service and ambience, are always fair, attentive and good. However, bad habits are slowly creeping in here too. Yesterday, after the three of us sat at an unreserved (!) table for about 2-3 hours, ate and, above all, drank a lot and planned to spend the evening here as well as the afternoon, we (and other guests) suddenly and without Any kind of communication has a “reserved from …” sign placed in front of their nose. We were very irritated. When asked, the comment came: "It's not an hour"... We see it as really outrageous to throw paying guests out the door in this way. You can talk about anything or communicate accordingly (e.g. put a sign on the table when it is not yet occupied), but this way doesn't work at all. It's a shame, but we won't visit the TH again as long as such customs prevail. Apparently you don't need the money of paying customers.

I orderd Butter Chicken and it turned out to be salty. I also mentioned this while paying the bill and the mistake was not acknowledged, this is not acceptable at all. This is not how you run restaurants without taking into consideration customers feedback. No go for me next time.

Very excellent business! Exactly what we were looking for in Munich - a place easily accessible, with a pleasant atmosphere, a good offer and tasty beer. The food was accurate, the staff very nice and I welcome them as good friends - you can argue with them. The prices were smart. We definitely recommend and will come here again if we are ever in Munich!

Nice restaurant with small tables on the street. Very friendly service. The Munich Schnitzel had a very tasty and crispy breading. It's a shame that I didn't order a Wiener Schnitzel there.

I was bitterly disappointed on my last visit. Food was quite expensive and not good and the beer was poured very poorly. There was, in the truest sense of the word, still a lot of room for improvement. In the end there was one beer too many on the bill, but after a long discussion this was taken down again. There are many alternatives in the district, I probably won't visit the Türkenhof again.

Beautiful inn in the middle of Maxvorstadt.

This is a nice place. It is in a very busy and youthful area of Munich but still accommodates old fogies like me amicably. Has a small outside eating / drinking area and the interior is bigger than expected with nice niches for you to get entrenched. A couple of games tables satisfy the younger mood and the toilets were spotless though dated - however the Gents had the funkiest hand drier I’ve seen in ages 😁 (see the photo). Recommended? Hell yes. Staff were very accommodating and it’s only 7 -8 min walk from Universitat on the U3 and U6 lines. I’ll be back. Didn’t eat there this time so no food score, sorry.

The Türkenhof is one of the best places to go for a cozy restaurant stay in Munich. The service is always friendly and helpful. Talkative people in particular enjoy dealing with the service staff, but thanks to their attentive nature, even introverted people can get their next beer by nodding. The food is freshly prepared and if there is no spaghetti on the menu, there isn't any. I can particularly recommend the restaurant for small groups, but solo travelers can also find a place here near the university. There is no bloodroot so a star deduction.

Always nice there. I haven't been there for a long time because I don't live in Munich anymore. I didn't eat there, but everything looked okay. Service was great, very friendly. Back soon!

It's nice to sit on Türkenstrasse and the service was great. However, the roast pork, which was only offered on weekends, was unfortunately subpar. Meat and sauce tasted like nothing. Dumplings are ready, also tasteless and the coleslaw is out of the bucket (I can still see the finished salad, but a bit of bacon, caraway for example could have been added). The real highlight is the glass refrigerator. This means that the beer arrives at the guest really ice cold!

I can recommend eating their chili con carne and their burgers.

Serving brown-colored asparagus is probably not an option.

Went to Türkenhof for lunch today for the first time. Friendly and attentive service. I chose “Red and brown lentils with vegetables and basmati rice” from the weekly menu. It sounds simple, but I was more than pleasantly surprised, it was really flavorful. A taste experience that I would not have expected here. Kitchen gets 5 stars from me 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 plus! It definitely wasn't the last time 😉

One of the last old school locations, that has survived the recent "upgrade" make it all posh nonsense in Schwabing. Good honest Bavarian and fusion food. There are also some table football tables in the back. It can get very busy. It is rather popular with students and locals alike..

Rather underwhelming. While the bartender provided me with a beer within 2 minute of me taking my seat, the waiter walked my numerous time over 15 minutes without checking if I am ready to order (I clearly was, if he bothered to pay attention.) I ask one question about one of the dishes (the beef roll), and he gave me no useful information except “ other customers like it.” I ordered it anyway, and its presentation and taste were both underwhelming. Not awful, but underwhelming.
