Rustic, Bavarian, traditional! Very nice inn, also very pleasant outside on the terrace, good quality cuisine, excellent service.

If you want a true bavarian experience, this is the place to go. Good food, nice veggie options and a nice variety of beer.

Very nice and good restaurant. The atmosphere is very rustic and the staff was very nice on both days we were there. Even if the prices of the dishes seem quite high, they are definitely worth it! There's enough to fill you up and it's really tasty. The desserts are also highly recommended! We were very satisfied and if we were drawn to Munich again, we would be happy to come back.

I had dinner twice here during the week, first with a group and another day own my own. Quality food and fairly priced drinks and excellent service. Especially on the Friday night when the restaurant was packed I and all the others had amazing and efficient service from Samana . She was always smiling, even when having to handle a few too many tables her own.

Used to be a great, recommended restaurant, I made a reservation for last night, half the restaurant was empty, but even worse, the only waiter was terribly slow, we first stood at the entrance for 5 minutes and waited, then no service came and came to order, we then left . The landlord's hand is missing

It looks really nice from the outside and inside, the menu seems good at first glance (& expensive, but that's probably the location too, because the taste isn't), but with a few restrictions when it comes to the food, you can go straight back here. I can't eat dairy due to an allergy and the only thing I could eat off the menu was bread. Not even the salad was vegan. When I asked, I was insulted several times, they showed zero understanding for my situation and when I explicitly ordered the salad without dairy products in the end, I was allowed to prepare my own dressing with salt, pepper, oil and vinegar ( Unfortunately there was no olive oil, only hazelnut and sunflower oil, which leaves no choice for allergy sufferers). There was truffle on the salad, but that doesn't justify paying $20 for being able to do half the work myself. Everyone else described the food as a 6-7 out of 10, so I was no exception. You also get the feeling that the waiters don't feel like working, sorry but that wasn't possible, I certainly won't come here again!

Cozy place with pleasant service who welcomed us even without a reservation. We ordered a veal schnitzel and a pork schnitzel among the dishes, we tried them with better breading at more reasonable prices. To close, a fairly good dessert with fresh strawberries.

Bavarian inn in the city center with the expected offer. The service was friendly and prompt and we got a table without a reservation and without any discussion about it (!!!). Quality of the food was good. You can go there again.

First visit after reopening. The cheese spaetzle and the Straubi-schnitzel tasted very good. Unfortunately, the dish with dumplings and asparagus didn't taste like much... What is absolutely not possible: no pretzels are offered! That's too bad. This is simply part of Obatzter. No small slices of dry baguette...the ratio wasn't right either. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the service that evening. The employee gave the impression that he had no motivation or fun at work. We still gave a tip because we hope it goes to the entire team of the evening. Because the kitchen definitely deserves it. The ambience looks inviting at first glance - Bavarian modern. Unfortunately we were unlucky with our spot right at the entrance. Conclusion: There are definitely better pubs

We came here around May 2023 but I still feel inclined to write this review a year after, because of our disappointing experience. There was some construction going on inside the restaurant, so we and everyone else sat outside. It took us at least 20 minutes to get a drink. It felt like all the waiters were ignoring us. The food wasn't great, overpriced. I always had a good time coming here with the German side of my family. The only time I came here with a non-German friend was just a disappointing experience. Even though I spoke German to the waiter, they spoke English back, which I don't understand. As growing up speaking German, I am sure I had no problem to be understood by the waiter. Disappointing.

I can highly recommend the Straubinginger, the food and the service is very good even when it's at full capacity. Everyone in the team is friendly and competent. Keep it up!

Nicely clean restaurant, rather modern furnishings. The food, roast pork with dumplings and sauce, tasted okay, roast pork tasted very good. The dumplings were okay, but unfortunately nothing more, there were 2 potato dumplings that came with it. I would like to see bread dumplings on the menu more often, they are somehow disappearing more and more. The sauce, which is the sanctuary of every braised dish, was too bland, meaning far too little power, I think it was improved with powder. Had little taste. Maybe not cooked enough with vegetables. Prices for drinks, phew if that's the benchmark in the whole of Munich? A man would have had to pay over €7 for a 0.75 liter Adelholzer water. Way too expensive for me!!! I took 0.25 for €3.20. Overall okay, with the criticisms mentioned Roast pork cost €17, okay for Munich standards. Service very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant very well maintained clean and tidy.

We were back at the Straubinger Hof with our regulars' table for the first time after the renovation. Had already reserved three months in advance. Nevertheless, we didn't get the table we wanted because we were told that not all wishes could be fulfilled! I had called again the day before to confirm the reservation, as a lot of time had already passed and had pointed out again that we wanted a table in the corner and that was promised to me again That's all we were surprised about, but well, now we were sitting in the middle of it all at a long table of eight. As always, we are very thirsty when we meet at the regulars' table, but the supply was rather slow. In addition, the restaurant manager was apparently our waiter, but despite apparently having a long professional experience, he behaved somehow insecurely! Ordered beers were always simply placed in the middle of the table without any indication of who had ordered them and also not facing the front, as I have seen in good restaurants for decades. The food was okay, nothing more and nothing less! The furnishings are interestingly postmodern or retro Bavarian to old German - it's hard to judge - not quaint and somehow it feels very much like a tourist bar because the cosiness is completely missing. In addition, you are immediately stopped at the door, so you can't just go to the bar or something and ask if you have a reservation. This is now common practice almost everywhere, and that's probably the case! Overall, great location with a lot of potential for Bavarian hospitality and tradition! Maybe it's not always the right way to want to be the new Bavarian local, but rather to just stay traditionally down-to-earth! I wish you continued success and see you soon! Olly

One of my favorite restaurants in Munich. I visit him every time I come to the city. Traditional delicious Bavarian food. Large portions! The restaurant has undergone a major renovation, so the atmosphere of an old Bavarian restaurant has been reduced.

There is a good pork bread and the waitresses are quite quick at serving. Always worth a visit!

The pork knuckle was very well prepared, tasted good, but was rock hard. For the price, I expect the meat to be cooked to perfection. The sauce was excellent. I find it harsh to charge €2.80 for a relatively simply prepared scoop of vanilla ice cream given the simple ingredients. The ambience is very sophisticated and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the service.

One server in 3 is really unfriendly to passing tourists. Ah... If we could have swapped servers...

A typical Munich restaurant but a little off the tourist routes. Friendly service and small children are also welcome. A very nice menu also for vegetarians and the menu for children doesn't just consist of schnitzel with fries.

Delicious classic German food - the visit can be summed up that simply. Service is very nice and the food is served quickly. The prices are fair for Munich and the selection is neither too big nor too small. But if you're looking for something outside of German cuisine or something vegan, you should look a little further. Small add-on: There is a curling rink that you can rent.

For me, the "Straubinger" is the best Bavarian tavern in Munich. Excellent food, excellent beer and attentive, friendly and quick service. I have always felt comfortable here! Unfortunately, I can't come to Munich as often as I would like - otherwise I would definitely be a regular here!

It's already a tradition to eat here every time you visit Munich. 👌
