Were in Gmund to buy beautiful papers and wanted to have lunch in the surrounding area by the lake: the food was terrific - the best Spaghetti Aglio Olio of my life (the supposedly "simple" dish always shows the quality of the cuisine ❤️). Service great: friendly, always keeping an eye on whether everything is right... the rest has already been mentioned here several times: the location on the lake rounds off the good atmosphere. Thank you for these beautiful moments!

One star is even too many. You make a reservation and come there and then you are greeted with the words "Lunch break, not again until 5:30 p.m." - Sorry, why do you even reserve and make these times available? Disappointing because everything had been planned that way. I'll never come here again - not recommended!

Wow, there are all available stars here. At first we weren't sure whether we would be welcome here with our 14-month-old dwarf, but a high chair at the entrance and a super friendly service, who also showed us a changing table because of our acute needs, quickly cleared up our doubts. Dishes are labeled vegan for those looking for them and the Arabiata were truly sensational. Exactly the pizzas of my two companions. The view completes the whole thing, and with a few boat movements using the crane, the little one was also well entertained. So it's really easy to go here with children and babies. But you can also tell that there is a more upscale clientele here.

We visited it on a Saturday. Service very friendly and fond of children. There are Ikea high chairs there, as well as a changing table. The food we brought with us was warmed up in the microwave without any problems. She would also have brought us hot water. The waitress came by every now and then to ask if everything was okay. Outside on the terrace there is a beautiful view of the lake. On-site parking. We didn't make a reservation, we were there at lunchtime. Food was good.

Excellent and inconspicuous Italian restaurant in Bad Wiessee. We were here a long time ago and rediscovered it today. Food outstanding, service very reserved but friendly. Prices are typical for Lehel, but justified in this case. We'd love to come back.

I've been going to La Vela for years, either with friends or family, and it's great every time. There is something for everyone, but especially the octopus salad, as well as all the starters, and I can only recommend the pizzas, even if you just get food. Sitting outside in the sun in summer with an Aperol, great food and very nice service is simply a dream! I have spent so many great moments here, whether on special occasions or just to have a relaxed meal with my family or friends. The service is super nice and you just feel completely at home in the great ambience and of course with a view of the lake. Absolute recommendation, I just love it here!

Since the owners had the review deleted through a lawyer, I am posting the exact same review since I was the other guest: The food was good and tasty. But unfortunately that was it. I have never experienced such chaos in terms of service. Maybe the staff was a bit overwhelmed, but everything seemed very uncoordinated. It is also unpleasantly loud in the restaurant. Sometimes you don't understand your counterpart at the table. What is particularly unusual, however, is that everywhere in the restaurant it is stated that you can only pay with cash. Strangely, why is this always the case with Italians :-) But even when paying in cash, each table was only "roughly added up" and there is no receipt. A rogue who thinks evil of it.

The question of whether we come from “Hitlerland” must not come up! Based on a recommendation, we reserved a table on Saturday for Sunday evening. We walked past on our hike on Sunday lunchtime to ask again whether the reservation was working and whether we could have a table by the window. This could not be guaranteed. In the evening we were given a table in the middle of the restaurant with very tight seating (no privacy at the table). 3 two-seater tables by the window were free. When we asked why we couldn't sit by the window, we were told that these tables were part of the large birthday table. After a few minutes, other guests arrived, including guests who hadn't made a reservation. They all got the free tables by the window. O Ton to the guests without a reservation: "You can have the table until 7.30 p.m." We then asked again how that could be, but again we only received a flimsy excuse. In the meantime, all unoccupied and occupied tables received bread baskets - except for us. So we had to repeatedly complain about why we didn't receive a bread basket. We would have been overlooked. Well, we actually sat in the middle of the room... When we finished eating we sat with our empty plates for a while, which isn't nice! So my husband asked the boss (?) if he could take the plates with him. The answer was more than shocking: whether we came from Hitlerland was his answer! We were completely taken aback and asked again what he had just said. "Do we come from Hitlerland?" he repeated. We should have gotten up and left - beforehand we should have told every guest present what the innkeeper had just said to us, but we were too stunned. Something like that doesn't work at all!! An absolute no-go and therefore definitely not recommended!

We were able to make a reservation directly with the boss at short notice. The pizza is big and tasty, as is the vitello. The service is very good and the boss has the full shop under control and an eye on everything. Great and thank you.

We ate at La Vela for the first time yesterday because it wasn't too far from our hotel. Thanks to our advance reservation, we got a seat right by the window with a beautiful view of the lake. The atmosphere is modern, but the spaces are arranged very tightly so that as many people as possible can fit in. As a starter we ate Vitello Tonnato, the presentation looked a bit unimaginative. The veal was ok, but nothing more. Only the tuna cream tasted great. For the main course we had saltimbocca and pizza, the saltimbocca tasted good & the vegetables as a side dish were also okay. The pizza was more of a standard pizza, I wouldn't go to La Vela again for that, and it was already lukewarm. The prices are upscale (Vittelo Tonnato €17, Saltimbocca €29), which seems to be due to the location of the restaurant right on the lake. The service was friendly and accommodating, there is nothing to criticize. Conclusion: I would only recommend La Vela if no other restaurant in the area was open. There are better restaurants on Tegernsee. Price-performance is too unbalanced and as a guest you fill yourself up like a sardine can.

Nice restaurant with delicious food. That's why it's always full and you can hardly get space without a reservation. The restaurant has an indoor area and an outdoor area, which is partially covered and can also be heated.

We cannot understand the negative reviews in any way. We even went here twice in one day. The food is fantastic and absolutely fresh. The service is super friendly and everyone is very accommodating. The ambience is fantastic. There's nothing to complain about here. We are already looking forward to the next vacation and the next time we eat here.

So far we have always enjoyed going to La Vela because the food was good and the location is great. The service… well, could be improved. Unfortunately, when I ordered a pizza to pick up, it was a complete failure. The €14 Hawaiian pizza was completely burnt from the bottom and around the edge and the toppings were barely there: you could count ham and pineapple. Unfortunately I didn't see it until I got home, otherwise I would have let her go back. That's not possible, very disappointing because half of the food ended up in the trash, inedible.

Wanted to have lunch there yesterday. After we parked our bikes at the designated parking lot, we were looking forward to a break and hopefully delicious food. But it didn't come to that. Since we had our daughter with us in the bike trailer, we quickly converted it into a buggy. We then asked the waitress if we could sit at one of the front tables. So that we have our daughter's valuables and toys ready to hand. However, we then had to park our buggy in the designated bike parking space above the street, although there would have been more than enough space on the paved driveway. I would still understand if the terrace had been full. However, a handful of other guests were seated in the outdoor restaurant at 1:20 p.m. So I decided that we would rather go somewhere where guests are treated as such.

We were also very satisfied with the taste. All in all, a recommendation if you want to spend a nice evening with a great view. I don't recommend it, unless that's all you need to do.

It was a super authentic experience here at Tegernsee with delicious Italian food. Burratta with truffles and linguine with scampi 😋

I cannot confirm the negative reviews at this point. Service was very friendly and seemed well organized. The food was served in a normal time for a busy restaurant. It was very tasty and of good quality. The location is one of the most beautiful on the entire lake, with a fantastic view of the yacht club. We liked it so much that we reserved again straight away.

Unfortunately the starter (pizza bread) only arrived after 60 minutes. We were then informed that the main course had been ordered straight away and would arrive after 10 minutes. Unfortunately it only came after a total of 90 minutes... The service staff brought food and drinks to the wrong tables several times. Unfortunately, the food wasn't the best. It had to be seasoned properly with salt, pepper and parmesan. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. The outdoor dining area is simply too big for the small number of staff.

The ambience is really very nice, great view of the lake and everything is very nicely decorated but that's it. The service was overwhelmed, dealing with a seemingly new colleague was impossible, rude, unfriendly. It took a long time to take care of us and other guests. At the next table the drinks were forgotten, all in all more appearance than reality.

I come from Munich and was visiting hospital, and then in the restaurant, When I got to the bar to pay for the food, the lady refilling the drinks was pretty busy with herself. When I said hello, she just looked at me briefly without saying a word and then looked away again. The waiter specifically told her to pack my drinks. Unfortunately, since she didn't listen or was too arrogant, no drinks were packed. At this price of 65€ - for 2x linguini with scampi and bruscetta 2x and 1x Cola 1x Fanta they asked for 61€, I have 65€ given and I'm very dissatisfied, when you call you're asked if you'll still be there tomorrow?! Instead of apologizing, I come from this far and to top it off I don't even get, Plastic cutlery, so it gets cold?? until I get there in 1 hour drive home, or I eat with my hands :( thank you very much

Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The place was very full, okay normal on a public holiday. But it was very chaotic, loud and uncoordinated. You couldn't really have a conversation because all the tables were close together and either the waiters were constantly dropping something or the manager, who was probably the boss, was constantly running back and forth and drilling her staff. A very good Italian musician was singing outside and 90's pop was coming from the kitchen and waiters kept rumbling past you. At a restaurant at the marina it shouldn't happen that you get dirty glasses (lipstick marks!) When we complained about this, we rolled our eyes and were given two new glasses, one of which was dirty. There was no bruschetta as a starter like other Italians, nor was there tortellini or spaghetti carbonara. The pasta arrabbiata had mushrooms in it, which wasn't on the menu, so half the plate remained. My Giulia Luca pizza was soggy, almost lukewarm and, what I don't understand, the mozzarella was slapped on it cold from the fridge, which made everything even colder. Sorry, I don't know that! Since the meal took forever anyway, I ended up eating half of the pizza with great difficulty. Then the hustle and bustle that was going on in there made everything very uncomfortable. Sorry, that was absolutely nothing.

After a short research, we spontaneously decided to eat here. We and our child were seated very quickly, only with the information that the table was reserved from a certain time onwards. Our drink requests were asked at the seat and we quickly received our drinks. Our food was also delivered to us in a very reasonable time as it was freshly prepared. What we couldn't finish with our pizza was packed for us at the request of the staff. After paying, we were given our daughter's leftover bottle - definitely anything but a given in my eyes today - especially when the restaurant was at full capacity, as it was that evening. A few evenings later we felt like having pizza again, which we were able to pick up shortly after ordering by phone - another option for really delicious Italian food in Bad Wiessee and the surrounding area. We would be happy to stop there again on a future visit to the area if possible. (Only - and outside of the rating - children's chairs would also be a nice option for indoor use, but a small child can easily sit on the lap of the restaurant chairs/armchairs.) Thank you very much for a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere and a quick dinner thanks to the option to pick up.

Recommended by the hotel. This is a great cozy Italian restaurant tucked away on a quiet street close to the lake with amazing service - I dined at the restaurant twice and was served by the professional and friendly Manager Ms. Giulia. The food was very good, had the minestrone, pastas and pizza - everything was well prepared plus an excellent warm bread. Overall it was a great dining experience. Would absolutely reccomend a visit if in the area!

If you don't have time for a long weekend and still want to feel really Italian for an evening, I recommend La Vela at the lido in Bad Wiessee. Everything here tastes and feels like it is in Italy. We had a very noble affair, a beef carpaccio - the Italians call it carpaccio di manzo. There are countless variations of this simple but sophisticated dish and the carpaccio at La Vela basically left me hyper-flashed! Many thanks also to Jan Bratkowski for being such a great guy!

Great location, right on the marina/Tegernsee. As a precaution, we already had a table for the evening in the afternoon (reserved on the terrace) and were assigned it. Drinks came quickly. The food took a while to arrive, but we had time. We shared an avocado/salmon salad, which was ok. Unfortunately the salmon wasn't homemade (it was smoked), but the price was correspondingly high given the location. Service suddenly decreased after the main course was served (no one asked for espresso/dessert or whether we had any other requests). It looks more like regular guests or clientele with a Munich accent are preferred here. But whatever! The Duroc pork was excellently cooked, and the pizza was also crispy (although the tomato sauce was unfortunately far too salty). The linguine with prawns were tasty, but the portion was very manageable. But since the store was full and has a top location, the basic attitude of the operators will probably not change.
