Yacht-Club Restaurant in Tegernsee

We weren't accepted despite making a reservation. We called four hours in advance and were told it was fine. When we arrived, we were told there were no spaces available. Yacht club guests and those with higher incomes are given priority. Absolutely not recommended if you're not a member; the service is very unfriendly and unaccommodating. You can tell the place is focused on high-income guests. This was already the second time, but this will be my last visit/attempt.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to call over to place our order. The empty glass and used place setting from the previous guest were also taken away. Twenty minutes later, when no drinks had arrived at the table, we politely asked the waiter again, and they finally arrived. We also had to ask the waiter to get our ordered appetizer, Vitello Tonnato. We had already been sitting in the restaurant for over an hour. Then, upon request, the appetizer arrived, along with bread for the first time. After an hour and a half, we wanted to cancel our main courses (pizza, saltimboca), pay, and leave, but then the main courses were brought. Our waiter tried very hard, but the other three younger ladies in the waiting area gave the impression that they were neither motivated nor had ever done this job before. It was also completely incomprehensible that countless pizza boxes left the restaurant as takeaways while we were waiting. The food was okay, the service was virtually nonexistent, the organization in the restaurant was unacceptable!

We went there for lunch with our children and their grandmother. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They also offer fresh bread, which is very good, with good oil, salt, and pepper, which is great while you wait for your food. The food comes quickly and is also very tasty. We had various pizzas and even got another loaf of bread for the little ones because they enjoyed it so much. The view of the lake and the boats is wonderful. We'd love to come back again when we're in the area.

The only service you get within 15 minutes after arriving is a request to leave a part of the terrace reserved for members of the yacht club.

They answer “Buonasera” and if you continue in Italian they don’t understand. It took 50 minutes to prepare 2 pizzas for takeaway. Pizza incredibly different than in pictures. Very low quality of the dough and ingredients.

We were there for dinner with almost 30 people – and what can I say: It was a perfect evening all around! The food was excellent, the ambiance beautiful, and we'd especially like to highlight the warm and absolutely professional service. Our waiter from Kansas was simply fantastic – super attentive, friendly, and dedicated. He took fantastic care of our group throughout the evening, constantly asking if we needed anything else, there were always plenty of drinks and water on the table, and even provided blankets for our guests. We've rarely experienced such attentive service – truly top-notch! The atmosphere was also ideal for our celebration: sociable, relaxed, and open. We were able to laugh, chat freely, and feel completely welcome. It was also particularly nice that we were allowed to use the jetty outside to take great souvenir photos – very hospitable and uncomplicated. We had a truly successful celebration and a wonderful evening that we will remember for a long time. A clear recommendation!

The pizzeria has a great location, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was good, although a bit overpriced in our opinion. There seem to be a lot of regulars, who were warmly welcomed. I would recommend making a reservation, as there was a huge rush of customers in the evenings. Despite this, the entire staff remained incredibly friendly and informed all new guests that there could be long waits. This way, everyone could decide for themselves whether to leave or simply enjoy the ambiance and the great location for a while longer.

The restaurant has a loving, family-like atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Salvatore, the owner, is incredibly attentive and passionate about his work – you can tell how much he cares about his guests. The cuisine is generous, honest, and full of flavor. A very nice restaurant right on the lake. You get a table on the terrace with a reservation, but we were able to get a seat without one. The service was friendly and courteous, although a bit overwhelmed at times, but we were there on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, just a bit overpriced by normal standards. It was easily accessible from our hotel, just a short walk along the lake promenade.

La Vela - At the Marina We spent a wonderful and delicious evening here in Bad Wiessee at La Vela. I would generally rate La Vela as upscale. The food was very good and the service excellent. Everyone was really attentive and kept asking for more drinks. We were never left high and dry. Dividing a main course between two plates and enjoying it as an appetizer is no problem at La Vela. The prices are simply appropriate for Lake Tegernsee. We live in a time where a scampi pizza costs €21. It's a bit outrageous, but the scampi weren't just some cheap shrimp from a jar, they were good scampi. It's very busy here, so always make a reservation. Conclusion: Very, very tasty food. Very, very good service. Value for money - we're at Lake Tegernsee! I'll be back!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. No attention at reception, and we ordered two wines – both very acidic. We ordered an appetizer platter for two today, but only received one portion. The grilled vegetables were very far from authentic grilled vegetables. Artichokes and la tonno (as advertised on the menu) were not included in the dish. The tables around us also complained about the food. The service was not customer-oriented. Card payment was only possible after repeated requests. Overall, very disappointing.

The food was delicious, but the service left something to be desired. We were there with two small children – the food was really good and tasty, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very busy, which led to long waits – not ideal, especially with children. To make matters worse, the wrong children's plates arrived. The service was overall rather mediocre: It seemed as if they were trying to serve as many tables as quickly as possible – unfortunately at the expense of quality and attention. One strange moment was when, during our meal, the oil and vinegar were simply taken from our table because another table was running out. That shouldn't happen in a well-organized establishment. It's a shame, because the food alone would have made for a good evening. This leaves a mixed impression.

Beautiful restaurant, friendly service, located right on the lake. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, there were three negative comments on the first visit. The wrong pizza was served, and the drinks were forgotten. We finished with an espresso macchiato, which was served as a simple espresso. There's definitely room for improvement. But we'll be back.

The restaurant was one of the few in Bad Wiessee open today. And the weather was perfect! Accordingly, it was very busy. The staff was super friendly and apologized in advance for the long waits. But we didn't find them a problem at all; rather, they were normal, given the crowds. Everyone did their best! And yet, there are still people complaining that they're not being taken care of. I don't understand that. The food was excellent, and the pizza was one of the best I've had so far. Thanks to the entire team.

Great Italian restaurant in Bad Wiessee. Easily accessible on foot along the lake promenade. A good selection of dishes and many pizza variations. I've rarely eaten such a delicious pizza. The atmosphere can be a bit noisy at times, as the restaurant is rather small. Definitely worth a visit.

The worst pizza I've ever eaten. I ordered a takeaway pizza and apart from the price being very high, I think the pizza I bought was not rejected by the customers in the restaurant, then it was heated and I got it. I think the fair price for what I ate was way over the top for the quality I got. I just can't recommend it!

The ambience and the food are absolutely recommended. The restaurant also seems to be very popular with locals, which speaks for the quality. However, the interior is quite cramped, which limits comfort somewhat. We ordered a starter as well as a salad and a pizza as a main course. Everything was extremely tasty and definitely recommended. A small downside was the payment: only cash is accepted, which is no longer really up to date these days. In addition, when we paid we were only given the total amount, without a detailed list of the individual items. Since the amount seemed a bit high, we asked for a bill - and in fact we were accidentally overcharged for an espresso and a dessert. After our complaint, we received the overpaid money back without any problems. Despite this small incident, we would definitely come back - just because of the excellent food and the friendly service.

First of all: The service was excellent and the waiters were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, no dishes made on the stove could be served because there was a problem, but we were told before ordering and so it was perfectly fine. The restaurant is beautifully located and tastefully decorated. The starters (Vitello Tonato and Carpaccio) were both very good. The La Vela pizza was okay but not a revelation. Now to the bad part, the spaghetti Bolognese was a complete non-starter. Yes, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, but that was it. It feels like there is no salt in the pasta water, no spices in the sauce and just completely bland. Unfortunately, adding more salt and pepper didn't make it any better and Parmesan wasn't added automatically either. Of course, it could be that this is an exception and that other mistakes happened due to the problem in the kitchen, but the prices were decent for the simple dishes and I simply expected more than what I felt like a ready-made bolo from the discounter.

I remember with great joy an unforgettable evening at La Vela, which is picturesquely located on the banks of Lake Tegernsee. The occasion - a special birthday - was perfectly accompanied by the excellent food and the stylish ambience. The truffle linguine we enjoyed was a real treat: lavishly covered in truffles. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptionally friendly and courteous service, which rounded off our evening with charm and attentiveness. An all-round successful stay that we will no doubt be happy to repeat.

One of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever eaten in with a fantastic view of Lake Tegernsee. Small but nice is the motto here. Very attentive and courteous tenants (gorgeous southern Italy!) You are treated like “La Famiglia”. Many regular guests who are greeted by name. Great food! Really only recommended.

Molto gustoso! Nothing more needs to be added. As always with pasta, I ordered Penne Arrabiata al Forno. I've never had so much cheese in the sauce before. Very creamy, slightly spicy. Al dente penne... what more could you want👍🏽

You make a reservation and come there and then you are greeted with the words "Lunch break, not again until 5:30 p.m." - Sorry, why do you even reserve and make these times available? We visited it on a Saturday. Service very friendly and fond of children. There are Ikea high chairs there, as well as a changing table. The food we brought with us was warmed up in the microwave without any problems. She would also have brought us hot water. The waitress came by every now and then to ask if everything was okay. Outside on the terrace there is a beautiful view of the lake. On-site parking. We didn't make a reservation, we were there at lunchtime. Food was good.

Wow, there are all available stars here. At first we weren't sure whether we would be welcome here with our 14-month-old dwarf, but a high chair at the entrance and a super friendly service, who also showed us a changing table because of our acute needs, quickly cleared up our doubts. Dishes are labeled vegan for those looking for them and the Arabiata were truly sensational. Exactly the pizzas of my two companions. The view completes the whole thing, and with a few boat movements using the crane, the little one was also well entertained. So it's really easy to go here with children and babies. But you can also tell that there is a more upscale clientele here.

I've been going to La Vela for years, either with friends or family, and it's great every time. There is something for everyone, but especially the octopus salad, as well as all the starters, and I can only recommend the pizzas, even if you just get food. Sitting outside in the sun in summer with an Aperol, great food and very nice service is simply a dream! I have spent so many great moments here, whether on special occasions or just to have a relaxed meal with my family or friends. The service is super nice and you just feel completely at home in the great ambience and of course with a view of the lake. Absolute recommendation, I just love it here!

Since the owners had the review deleted through a lawyer, I am posting the exact same review since I was the other guest: The food was good and tasty. But unfortunately that was it. I have never experienced such chaos in terms of service. Maybe the staff was a bit overwhelmed, but everything seemed very uncoordinated. It is also unpleasantly loud in the restaurant. Sometimes you don't understand your counterpart at the table. What is particularly unusual, however, is that everywhere in the restaurant it is stated that you can only pay with cash. Strangely, why is this always the case with Italians :-) But even when paying in cash, each table was only "roughly added up" and there is no receipt. A rogue who thinks evil of it.

The question of whether we come from “Hitlerland” must not come up! Based on a recommendation, we reserved a table on Saturday for Sunday evening. We walked past on our hike on Sunday lunchtime to ask again whether the reservation was working and whether we could have a table by the window. This could not be guaranteed. In the evening we were given a table in the middle of the restaurant with very tight seating (no privacy at the table). 3 two-seater tables by the window were free. When we asked why we couldn't sit by the window, we were told that these tables were part of the large birthday table. After a few minutes, other guests arrived, including guests who hadn't made a reservation. They all got the free tables by the window. O Ton to the guests without a reservation: "You can have the table until 7.30 p.m." We then asked again how that could be, but again we only received a flimsy excuse. In the meantime, all unoccupied and occupied tables received bread baskets - except for us. So we had to repeatedly complain about why we didn't receive a bread basket. We would have been overlooked. Well, we actually sat in the middle of the room... When we finished eating we sat with our empty plates for a while, which isn't nice! So my husband asked the boss (?) if he could take the plates with him. The answer was more than shocking: whether we came from Hitlerland was his answer! We were completely taken aback and asked again what he had just said. "Do we come from Hitlerland?" he repeated. We should have gotten up and left - beforehand we should have told every guest present what the innkeeper had just said to us, but we were too stunned. Something like that doesn't work at all!! An absolute no-go and therefore definitely not recommended!

We were able to make a reservation directly with the boss at short notice. The pizza is big and tasty, as is the vitello. The service is very good and the boss has the full shop under control and an eye on everything. Great and thank you.

Nice restaurant with delicious food. That's why it's always full and you can hardly get space without a reservation. The restaurant has an indoor area and an outdoor area, which is partially covered and can also be heated.

We ate at La Vela for the first time yesterday because it wasn't too far from our hotel. Thanks to our advance reservation, we got a seat right by the window with a beautiful view of the lake. The atmosphere is modern, but the spaces are arranged very tightly so that as many people as possible can fit in. As a starter we ate Vitello Tonnato, the presentation looked a bit unimaginative. The veal was ok, but nothing more. Only the tuna cream tasted great. For the main course we had saltimbocca and pizza, the saltimbocca tasted good & the vegetables as a side dish were also okay. The pizza was more of a standard pizza, I wouldn't go to La Vela again for that, and it was already lukewarm. The prices are upscale (Vittelo Tonnato €17, Saltimbocca €29), which seems to be due to the location of the restaurant right on the lake. The service was friendly and accommodating, there is nothing to criticize. Conclusion: I would only recommend La Vela if no other restaurant in the area was open. There are better restaurants on Tegernsee. Price-performance is too unbalanced and as a guest you fill yourself up like a sardine can.

We cannot understand the negative reviews in any way. We even went here twice in one day. The food is fantastic and absolutely fresh. The service is super friendly and everyone is very accommodating. The ambience is fantastic. There's nothing to complain about here. We are already looking forward to the next vacation and the next time we eat here.

So far we have always enjoyed going to La Vela because the food was good and the location is great. The service… well, could be improved. Unfortunately, when I ordered a pizza to pick up, it was a complete failure. The €14 Hawaiian pizza was completely burnt from the bottom and around the edge and the toppings were barely there: you could count ham and pineapple. Unfortunately I didn't see it until I got home, otherwise I would have let her go back. That's not possible, very disappointing because half of the food ended up in the trash, inedible.
