A very nice and somewhat upscale Italian restaurant. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but the food is truly excellent and high-quality. The ambiance, with a view of Lake Teggern, is also truly lovely. Definitely recommended.

Chaotic and unfriendly. Unfortunately, the pizza was like rubber. However, it was very expensive.

I visited this restaurant and ordered still water. On the bill, it was listed as bottled mineral water, but it actually came from the beer tap so it’s tap water but price for mineral water . Additionally, a tip was automatically added for the service without asking me. The water was overpriced, and the way it was billed was misleading. I recommend that guests clarify in advance what they are ordering and how it will be charged.

La Vela offers excellent Italian cuisine at a reasonable price! I had a carbonara that tasted exceptionally authentic with a peppery egg yolk sauce and crispy guanciale. My wife had a salmon and avocado salad, which was very good, but at €21, it was quite expensive compared to the pasta. The service was very attentive and professional in a stylish ambiance (yacht club) with partially colored black-and-white photos of 1960s Italy. As a farewell, we were offered a soda or grappa on the house. The seating (inside) was a bit cramped, but it was manageable. All in all, we would come back!

The food was excellent, whether it was pizza, pasta, or salad. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. It's also ideal for pick-up. Definitely recommended.

Average Italian cuisine and overwhelmed service.

Of course, always the first place! The waiters are quick, and therefore the food arrives relatively promptly. But chefs can only work their magic if they have enough time. Most customers are very impatient. I'm deducting one star for the ambience because I prefer restaurants that don't have one large room, but rather several smaller ones or have partitions like dividing walls, thus suggesting a bit of coziness. All in all, the best Italian restaurant in Bad Wiessee, and right on the lake.

The location is enviable, overlooking the lake. The staff is friendly. The pizza is a little greasy, but not bad. They love garlic, even in dishes that don't call for it in Italy. The bill is a little pricey, but overall, it's a good Italian restaurant.

We had the lasagna and a vegetarian pizza today. Both were delicious. The service was very pleasant and friendly. The view of the lake was beautiful. And the photos by Sophia and others were simply lovely and enhanced the feel-good atmosphere. We will be back.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly service

The food was good, but the service was very hectic. At the next table (behind me), a chair was added, and waiters and guests kept pushing past me – very unpleasant! Not only was the next table unbearably loud – the entire restaurant was also very loud. It's a shame – we've always enjoyed our meal there over the years...

The food was mediocre and not worth the price. Some of the pizza ingredients seemed to come from canned goods, and the burrata was either of mediocre quality or had been stored too cold. The high price is likely due solely to the location by the marina and lakeshore. The service was friendly and attentive, but clearly overwhelmed. Oil and vinegar were forgotten to be placed on the table, water glasses were brought to the table several times, dishes could not be identified by their names when served, and the bar was practically drowning in empty drinking glasses. The ambiance is overall pleasant, but the restaurant is rather noisy, which is also due to the kitchen being open to the dining room. Overall, you're mainly paying for the beautiful waterfront location – there are better alternatives in terms of food and service.

During a 2 day stay in Bad Wiessee we ate both evenings at La Vela. It was that good! The pizza Chri as well as the lasagna were splendid! Spicy as expected and even better with some hot chili oil on it. The menu gives you lots of options to choose from and the personnel is friendly. Making reservations is advised. Tip from a Dutchie: As soon as people are seated ask them what they like to drink. It’s typical German to wait until the menu is presented and first choices are made.

La Vela enjoys a prime location on Lake Tegernsee in Bad Wiessee. Wonderful ambiance, first-class service under the direction of Giulia, and outstanding food from Chef Lino. Congratulations to Chef Salvatore and his team. Keep up the good work – an absolute recommendation on Lake Tegernsee.

The overall rating should be much higher! The location is superb, the restaurant is also very nice, the service was also excellent during our visit, the price-performance ratio was absolutely okay, and I ate a delicious pizza that is perfect for all garlic lovers! ❤️

We weren't accepted despite making a reservation. We called four hours in advance and were told it was fine. When we arrived, we were told there were no spaces available. Yacht club guests and those with higher incomes are given priority. Absolutely not recommended if you're not a member; the service is very unfriendly and unaccommodating. You can tell the place is focused on high-income guests. This was already the second time, but this will be my last visit/attempt.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to call over to place our order. The empty glass and used place setting from the previous guest were also taken away. Twenty minutes later, when no drinks had arrived at the table, we politely asked the waiter again, and they finally arrived. We also had to ask the waiter to get our ordered appetizer, Vitello Tonnato. We had already been sitting in the restaurant for over an hour. Then, upon request, the appetizer arrived, along with bread for the first time. After an hour and a half, we wanted to cancel our main courses (pizza, saltimboca), pay, and leave, but then the main courses were brought. Our waiter tried very hard, but the other three younger ladies in the waiting area gave the impression that they were neither motivated nor had ever done this job before. It was also completely incomprehensible that countless pizza boxes left the restaurant as takeaways while we were waiting. The food was okay, the service was virtually nonexistent, the organization in the restaurant was unacceptable!

We went there for lunch with our children and their grandmother. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They also offer fresh bread, which is very good, with good oil, salt, and pepper, which is great while you wait for your food. The food comes quickly and is also very tasty. We had various pizzas and even got another loaf of bread for the little ones because they enjoyed it so much. The view of the lake and the boats is wonderful. We'd love to come back again when we're in the area.

The only service you get within 15 minutes after arriving is a request to leave a part of the terrace reserved for members of the yacht club.

They answer “Buonasera” and if you continue in Italian they don’t understand. It took 50 minutes to prepare 2 pizzas for takeaway. Pizza incredibly different than in pictures. Very low quality of the dough and ingredients.

We were there for dinner with almost 30 people – and what can I say: It was a perfect evening all around! The food was excellent, the ambiance beautiful, and we'd especially like to highlight the warm and absolutely professional service. Our waiter from Kansas was simply fantastic – super attentive, friendly, and dedicated. He took fantastic care of our group throughout the evening, constantly asking if we needed anything else, there were always plenty of drinks and water on the table, and even provided blankets for our guests. We've rarely experienced such attentive service – truly top-notch! The atmosphere was also ideal for our celebration: sociable, relaxed, and open. We were able to laugh, chat freely, and feel completely welcome. It was also particularly nice that we were allowed to use the jetty outside to take great souvenir photos – very hospitable and uncomplicated. We had a truly successful celebration and a wonderful evening that we will remember for a long time. A clear recommendation!

The pizzeria has a great location, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was good, although a bit overpriced in our opinion. There seem to be a lot of regulars, who were warmly welcomed. I would recommend making a reservation, as there was a huge rush of customers in the evenings. Despite this, the entire staff remained incredibly friendly and informed all new guests that there could be long waits. This way, everyone could decide for themselves whether to leave or simply enjoy the ambiance and the great location for a while longer.

The restaurant has a loving, family-like atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Salvatore, the owner, is incredibly attentive and passionate about his work – you can tell how much he cares about his guests. The cuisine is generous, honest, and full of flavor. A very nice restaurant right on the lake. You get a table on the terrace with a reservation, but we were able to get a seat without one. The service was friendly and courteous, although a bit overwhelmed at times, but we were there on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, just a bit overpriced by normal standards. It was easily accessible from our hotel, just a short walk along the lake promenade.

La Vela - At the Marina We spent a wonderful and delicious evening here in Bad Wiessee at La Vela. I would generally rate La Vela as upscale. The food was very good and the service excellent. Everyone was really attentive and kept asking for more drinks. We were never left high and dry. Dividing a main course between two plates and enjoying it as an appetizer is no problem at La Vela. The prices are simply appropriate for Lake Tegernsee. We live in a time where a scampi pizza costs €21. It's a bit outrageous, but the scampi weren't just some cheap shrimp from a jar, they were good scampi. It's very busy here, so always make a reservation. Conclusion: Very, very tasty food. Very, very good service. Value for money - we're at Lake Tegernsee! I'll be back!

Very good food (bruschetta, salads, and pizzas) in a lively but pleasant and authentic atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. Excellent, definitely worth a recommendation!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. No attention at reception, and we ordered two wines – both very acidic. We ordered an appetizer platter for two today, but only received one portion. The grilled vegetables were very far from authentic grilled vegetables. Artichokes and la tonno (as advertised on the menu) were not included in the dish. The tables around us also complained about the food. The service was not customer-oriented. Card payment was only possible after repeated requests. Overall, very disappointing.

The food was delicious, but the service left something to be desired. We were there with two small children – the food was really good and tasty, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very busy, which led to long waits – not ideal, especially with children. To make matters worse, the wrong children's plates arrived. The service was overall rather mediocre: It seemed as if they were trying to serve as many tables as quickly as possible – unfortunately at the expense of quality and attention. One strange moment was when, during our meal, the oil and vinegar were simply taken from our table because another table was running out. That shouldn't happen in a well-organized establishment. It's a shame, because the food alone would have made for a good evening. This leaves a mixed impression.

The wrong pizza was served, and the drinks were forgotten. We finished with an espresso macchiato, which was served as a simple espresso. There's definitely room for improvement. But we'll be back.

The restaurant was one of the few in Bad Wiessee open today. And the weather was perfect! Accordingly, it was very busy. The staff was super friendly and apologized in advance for the long waits. But we didn't find them a problem at all; rather, they were normal, given the crowds. Everyone did their best! And yet, there are still people complaining that they're not being taken care of. I don't understand that. The food was excellent, and the pizza was one of the best I've had so far. Thanks to the entire team.

The worst pizza I've ever eaten. I ordered a takeaway pizza and apart from the price being very high, I think the pizza I bought was not rejected by the customers in the restaurant, then it was heated and I got it. I think the fair price for what I ate was way over the top for the quality I got. I just can't recommend it!

The ambience and the food are absolutely recommended. The restaurant also seems to be very popular with locals, which speaks for the quality. However, the interior is quite cramped, which limits comfort somewhat. We ordered a starter as well as a salad and a pizza as a main course. Everything was extremely tasty and definitely recommended. A small downside was the payment: only cash is accepted, which is no longer really up to date these days. In addition, when we paid we were only given the total amount, without a detailed list of the individual items. Since the amount seemed a bit high, we asked for a bill - and in fact we were accidentally overcharged for an espresso and a dessert. After our complaint, we received the overpaid money back without any problems. Despite this small incident, we would definitely come back - just because of the excellent food and the friendly service.

First of all: The service was excellent and the waiters were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, no dishes made on the stove could be served because there was a problem, but we were told before ordering and so it was perfectly fine. The restaurant is beautifully located and tastefully decorated. The starters (Vitello Tonato and Carpaccio) were both very good. The La Vela pizza was okay but not a revelation. Now to the bad part, the spaghetti Bolognese was a complete non-starter. Yes, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, but that was it. It feels like there is no salt in the pasta water, no spices in the sauce and just completely bland. Unfortunately, adding more salt and pepper didn't make it any better and Parmesan wasn't added automatically either. Of course, it could be that this is an exception and that other mistakes happened due to the problem in the kitchen, but the prices were decent for the simple dishes and I simply expected more than what I felt like a ready-made bolo from the discounter.

I remember with great joy an unforgettable evening at La Vela, which is picturesquely located on the banks of Lake Tegernsee. The occasion - a special birthday - was perfectly accompanied by the excellent food and the stylish ambience. The truffle linguine we enjoyed was a real treat: lavishly covered in truffles. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptionally friendly and courteous service, which rounded off our evening with charm and attentiveness. An all-round successful stay that we will no doubt be happy to repeat.

One of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever eaten in with a fantastic view of Lake Tegernsee. Small but nice is the motto here. Very attentive and courteous tenants (gorgeous southern Italy!) You are treated like “La Famiglia”. Many regular guests who are greeted by name. Great food! Really only recommended.

Molto gustoso! Nothing more needs to be added. As always with pasta, I ordered Penne Arrabiata al Forno. I've never had so much cheese in the sauce before. Very creamy, slightly spicy. Al dente penne... what more could you want👍🏽

This is what a good Italian must be like. Service in a good mood and full of southern joie de vivre! Despite the evening being almost fully booked, a table was organized at short notice. Were in Gmund to buy beautiful papers and wanted to have lunch in the surrounding area by the lake: the food was terrific - the best Spaghetti Aglio Olio of my life (the supposedly "simple" dish always shows the quality of the cuisine ❤️). Service great: friendly, always keeping an eye on whether everything is right... the rest has already been mentioned here several times: the location on the lake rounds off the good atmosphere. You make a reservation and come there and then you are greeted with the words "Lunch break, not again until 5:30 p.m." - Sorry, why do you even reserve and make these times available? Disappointing because everything had been planned that way. I'll never come here again - not recommended!
