Very good food at honest prices with excellent service

A very quaint, cozy restaurant. The service was super nice. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. The schnitzel with fried egg was good, but the fried potatoes were swimming in fat. It looked like they had been lying in the grease for ages. Too bad As soon as I entered the restaurant there was a smell of ready-made sauce.

We were there in the evening with 5 people for my mother's 60th birthday. We come from out of town and were able to park there really well. (A short walk beforehand) The manager welcomed us very nicely and tried to ask if everything was OK shortly before we finished eating. Unfortunately it is no longer a given. I admire the calmness in the innkeeper as she serves her guests, you have my full respect. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point, 1/4 would have been enough (you can't) my mother's red cabbage tastes better. But for a restaurant it's absolutely OK. Everyone's red cabbage is different. Many thanks to the oak team. We'd love to come back.

We had dinner at the Oak... The restaurants have a great charm..., ok, you have to like it. We were warmly welcomed and we immediately felt really comfortable. A very nice waitress gave us great advice on drinks and the food was “a great movie”!! The portions were sufficient and the price is reasonable. The wealth of ideas when it comes to naming the dishes is boundless and we had a great time. We felt so comfortable that we didn't even notice that we were well past opening time and the condition didn't give the impression that it was uncomfortable... Conclusion...gladly again❣️

Big failure!!!! We were only there to eat and were looking forward to schnitzel. Hamburger, Viennese and gypsy schnitzel were ordered. (17.50) For fries, potatoes or croquettes an additional 3.50 is added. All the same chicken schnitzels came with different side dishes... The salad was inedible and the mixed vegetables from a can were cold and soggy. The service was relatively friendly, but forgot to refill the drinks even though the shop was almost empty. The restaurant itself is very old and it smells extremely like kitchen... It was the first and last time we were there. Way too expensive for this quality!!! When you go out to eat, you want it to be better than at home or at least as good, but unfortunately the oak is light years away.

Underground, never again! Untrained staff who were very friendly but unfortunately didn't make the lousy food any better. We had Viennese style schnitzel, Hamburger schnitzel and schnitzel with letscho. All plates had the same meat and it was breaded chicken. When we asked and said that we had expected pork when reading the menu, there was a lot of discussion with us. You could do it however you want. I think that should definitely be on the menu! The prices are absolutely not justified... ! 3.50 euros extra for a side dish! I could write more. There were good times in the oak tree but they are probably long gone. I can only advise everyone against it.

Good cuisine with a fun menu, pleasant service and good service. The food was delicious, the dessert is also recommended.

The location is great, but it still has an old charm. Service was nice and also great. Dog was also treated attentively. The only thing that became critical was when a cat scurried into the restaurant :-) the food was tasty. I was just looking for the vegetables, there were few and the salad was on a lettuce leaf on the same plate. Couldn't stop something from coming to the other meal. The biggest point of criticism, however, is that you had to order the allowance, fries... separately and so the food was no longer cheap. For the price I would have liked a salad plate and more vegetables. Otherwise the stay there was nice.

Really a real insider tip in a great location for Zippendorfer Beach. Booking over the phone was completely unproblematic and the hostess was very welcoming and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The rolls and breakfast eggs were even warm. The room was cozy and clean. We would definitely stay there again as our dog was also very welcome.

I have to say, well. Ate pasta with tomato sauce there. A huge portion of pasta and just ready-made sauce from the can. I was told that this was vegetarian sauce. I have to say that even vegetarians can do this better.

We had lunch here and were completely satisfied. We had roast ribs and a farmer's breakfast. Both were really tasty. The portions are generous, the staff is friendly and the price-performance ratio is also good. You can sit comfortably outside.

Away from the front. The owner and daughter are super nice and the atmosphere is nice. That's the only thing. With a clear conscience I can NOT recommend this restaurant. On the website the meal is offered as a complete package. In reality, side dishes (fries, potatoes, etc.) are charged an additional €3.50. Price + performance does not correspond to what you get (average €17.90) without the mentioned side dishes. I'm totally disappointed. Two meals were specifically ordered with half a portion. The side dish (although only half) was charged in full at €3.50. The price alone for just a bit of sour meat (120g) at €15.90 is a proud price, but then to charge the full price for half a portion of fried potatoes is outrageous. I feel a little ripped off. With a clear conscience, I didn't check the bill too much and even gave a good tip. It was only when I got home that I realized that the full price was charged for half portions. Be sure to pay attention to the bill when paying. It's a shame that a bitter aftertaste remains. My suggestion. The online menu should be adapted to this, then you can decide whether you want to do that in the future. It would only be fair if you wanted to keep loyal customers.

We were only there to eat, but the staff was really very friendly and personable, the food also tasted very good, great value for money and can only be recommended. Maxi the house cat is also very trusting towards the guests

We were guests at the inn for a weekend at the beginning of July. We had booked a comfortable room (2 adults + 1 child) including breakfast. First of all, breakfast and the guest room - nothing to be desired was left unfulfilled, it was very rich, fresh and simply delicious. We also really liked the little children's play area. The in-house cat, Maxi, is always there, but is so well behaved that she doesn't beg from the guests or run around near the food - she's just part of it! We would like to say a huge compliment to the landlady and her daughter. They were always very friendly, fulfilled all of our wishes, answered all our questions and we never had the feeling that anything was too much... you do your job with heart and soul We wish you more guests who appreciate how great you and your inn are... we felt very comfortable! We were here to eat, we were greeted in a friendly manner, we had to wait a while for the food, others got their food quicker, the food was tasty, the price is okay, potato side dishes are charged an extra €3.50, the ambience could be a little better be, whisk on the terrace in summer, withered weed pots...

We were received very friendly. The rooms are clean, we slept well. Breakfast is good and it gets better and better for us it was enough.

Catastrophe bad. We wanted to eat there today and even though we were the only guests there was no service. When I was looking for a service and finally found someone, they were upset about the disruption and reacted very rudely. Never again

You can really relax here. The rooms are clean, the food was delicious and the operators are incredibly friendly and attentive. In addition, the location simply speaks for itself, it's less than a 2 minute walk to the beach. There are shopping opportunities nearby as well as a stop if you are not mobile. We will be back definitely!

At the beginning of July 2024, a colleague and I completed an internship at the clinic in Lübstorf. We found accommodation here for the time being. There was nothing to complain about either the rooms or the included breakfast. We have felt very comfortable here. The staff was really nice. The location of the “Eiche” is really great. The beach is right next door and it's less than 10 minutes by car to the city. We have a clear recommendation! Thumbs up! :)

Price performance not given. Had roulades, red cabbage with dumplings. Dumplings were a ready-made product and red cabbage was very cinnamon-heavy. We ordered a cappuccino for dessert, but it was forgotten. Domestic cat runs around in the restaurant. Child-friendly and friendly service.

Good morning . A quick review from me too. We booked an overnight stay here in a large room. So my conclusion. Everything is ok for a pub. Nice staff, good price-performance ratio and the food was also very tasty. I can't understand the negative reviews. It's not a 5 star hotel but a great inn with everything your heart desires. Large parking lot and located on Lake Schwerin - pure nature. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests. We will be back. Kind regards. Sigrid and Carsten

We stopped at this restaurant and ordered schnitzel with fried eggs. The price was 17.50 and no filling side dishes were specified, so I ordered fried potatoes. My fried potatoes were good, but my wife's were pretty dark. The schnitzel was certainly not fresh and homemade, but it was too even. The mixed vegetables are not seasoned or seasoned and the salad is without dressing or similar. On the bill, 3.50 euros for fried potatoes and 0 3l 3.90 euros for beer and coke - these are proud prices but totally overpriced for this restaurant. The service was friendly.

The rooms were very nicely furnished and clean. It's less than 5 minutes from the accommodation to the beach and you could even see the beach from the room. The staff in the restaurant were extremely friendly and we enjoyed the food very much. All in all, it was a great visit and we would come back at any time.

My company had booked this location for dinner at our summer party and we had at least ordered the food in advance. The drink intake went quickly, but it took a while and then a few drinks were missing. This can happen with around 50 people and wouldn't have been bad. But when the food came, you noticed how stressed the staff is. We ordered chicken schnitzel, Wiener schnitzel, roulades and goulash. When a chicken schnitzel wasn't taken away immediately, one of the waitresses took a very disproportionate tone. I worked in the catering industry for 8 years and that's just not possible. When all the food was distributed, I ordered goulash with boiled potatoes and red cabbage, mine was really tasty. However, according to my colleagues, the Wiener Schnitzel wasn't very good. The meat was at least 3cm thick, the coleslaw had too much vinegar and the creamed vegetables were cold. Some have returned half of their food and were very disappointed. Since only one drink was free, any drinks ordered had to be paid for by yourself. Is not so bad. But the waitress should be able to calculate and pay out change correctly. This was not the case and so the suspicion arises that you want to top up your tip yourself. The service and the food definitely need to be improved here. The location is close to the lake and would be an ideal excursion destination, but unfortunately I can't recommend it.

Unfortunately not recommended at all. The service staff is so unfriendly and you can't even talk about the food. Canned food as vegetables and the meat cheap quality and fried dead. It was my first time here and definitely never again. Overpriced store and lousy quality.

Today was the first time in the oak tree even though I'm from Schwerin. I can't understand all the negative reviews. The staff was very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I've never written a review for a restaurant before, but I just had to do this! 100% 5 stars from me. I will definitely go back!!!

We only visited the restaurant. The door says open from 11 a.m. We were there at 4:45 p.m. and it was closed, although the lights were on and staff could be seen. They did open at around 5 p.m. and when we politely asked why they opened so late, we got the very rude answer: "We'll open when we want, you'll have to leave that to us." An older lady who asked to be admitted and wanted to speak to the owner was sent away in a somewhat rude manner. The service staff was correspondingly bad and arrogant. Food wasn't fair to the price (goulash soup: meat was good, but it was cut very, very small, as were the vegetables. Steak: was initially well-done, even though it was ordered medium rare. There was no problem with a new steak, which was only medium. Frozen vegetables, potatoes cooked very softly and then paid extra for 3.50, like every other side dish. Location of the guesthouse/restaurant was actually very good Full. All in all: below average.

Very remarkable is the unusually strong self-confidence of the junior landlady, who spares no effort to explain to the guests that we are all just stardust... Photos of the great dishes will be provided later...

Spontaneously went for dinner with 16 people and two small children. Great food, great service, absolutely great prices... especially the play area worked wonderfully... full marks!!

We arrived spontaneously with 16 people and 2 children and were warmly greeted, served and looked after. Many thanks to the kitchen and service. My tip: the liver on the menu is still the best in Schwerin, including the stamp.

Delicious food at good prices and friendly service.

The lowest GDR MENU has nothing to do with Mecklenburg cuisine. The names of the dishes are primitive, disgusting and far too expensive for the poor quality. Poultry liver was like liver slush, a loveless pile of stirred and overcooked liver, over-seasoned, mashed potatoes reminiscent of spread cow dung - 1/2 cm high and took half a plate to spread. I was surprised by the mixed vegetables, favorite vegetables from the GDR too, but there wasn't much there Selection. Price for this unappetizing dish is just under 15 euros. Even if the cook may have learned in the GDR, that is a disgusting testament to the profession of a cook. Actually, I don't believe in a trained chef in the pub, NEVER AGAIN.

Hatte gerade ein Telefonat mit der Wirtin die sagte ein Doppelzimmer kostet 94,50 ich dachte ich hörte nicht RICHTIG …. für diese Pension das ist doch wohl ein Witz diese Frau kam mir wirklich dumm da ich so erstaunt war… Im Intercity Hotel am Bahnhof hatte ich ein Doppelzimmer für 75 Euro … In Berchtesgaden war es sogar Billiger…. Einfach Weltfremd

Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Suppe hätte heißer sein können.

An und für sich ein schönes Lokal,die Zimmer sind auch in Ordnung...aber Vorsicht vor Abzocke...mit 2 Übernachtungen...einschecken Freitag 15.00 Uhr...auschecken Sonntag bis 11.00 Uhr...somit 2 Übernachtungen... berechnet werden aber 3 Tage.. hab derart Rechnung noch in ganz Deutschland nicht erlebt...kann man machen...aber nur ein Mal ..haben nachgefragt... Antwort wir rechnen das so... wirklich sehr schade...

War sehr gemütlich. Gastgeberin war sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Ziemlich teuer die Speisen 😕 Wir wollten es nochmal probieren (November 2023) .... das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist weiterhin ganz schlecht. Ich ganz dieses Lokal leider nicht empfehlen!!!

Wir waren im Restaurant und sind begeistert. Das Essen war super zubereitet, geschmacklich toll und reichlich. Auch die Wartezeit war angemessen und wurde durch vielerlei zum Schauen nicht lang. Freundlich und zuvorkommend wurde auch an unseren Hund gedacht und er bekam einen Wassernapf.
