Wirtshaus In Sendling in München

Lunch in the back garden under the plane trees was very pleasant and relaxing. Typical Bavarian dishes: München schnitzler with potato salad and roast pork with dumplings and salad. The dishes were generous and tasty; vegetarian options were also available. The service was friendly and fast, and the waiter spoke English.

Fish was delicious. Cozy and quiet place. Good for all kinds of visits (single, date, crowd gatherings, etc.). I would recommend making a reservation beforehand.

Good, reasonably priced food. Nice beer garden. Service varied. One waitress was great, the other was a flop...Tables weren't wiped down.

We spent a few days at the neighboring Holiday Inn and each evening we gorged ourselves on Bavarian specialties and salads in the beer garden. The food was always good and plentiful, and the service staff was attentive and friendly, even when things were getting hectic. The beer garden is a refreshing oasis in the city at 30-degree heat. There's no significant wait time for food or to pay. The weekly menu is very good.

A super nice pub. We go there regularly and are always happy. In summer, we especially like the small, cozy beer garden behind the house :)

To end our stay in Munich, we were looking for a place for a white sausage breakfast and found so much more than that here in the beer garden. The service was top-notch. Authentic, attentive, and very friendly. We had goulash soup, liver dumpling soup, white sausage, and a snack board. Every single component was excellent. We packed leftovers for our long drive back. The elderflower-lime-mint lemonade was very refreshing. Thank you for this memorable ending!

The long-established "Wirtshaus in Sendling" is located on Albert-Roßhaupter-Straße. Old photos hang on the walls inside; it has hardly changed over the years. I thought it was very good. The welcome and service on April 25, 2025, starting at 7 p.m. were friendly. It was quite busy, so we had to wait a while for orders and drinks. Unfortunately, pork knuckle is not a standard dish. And it gets very loud as soon as a third of the tables are occupied. The prices are mid-range: 0.5 l light or dark beer €5, wheat beer €5.30, cordon bleu €19, and very good meatballs €15.60.

I had dinner with my colleagues today on Carnival Tuesday and wanted to say a big compliment to the friendly and friendly staff. We felt very comfortable with you and will be back soon 🫶🍻

You don't want to go to a good restaurant here!!!! (be sure to read to the end) We had to wait 2 hours and the waiter had no idea about the internal system so we needed 6 approaches to place our large order. When we ordered something to drink there wasn't even a requirement at the bar?! Me and my son wanted to go to the toilet so I was sitting there on the normal toilet when suddenly a strange man burst into my cubicle - the lock doesn't work!!!! When the staff had an argument in front of everyone, I put two hundred euros on the table, wrote a note saying that the food was available to everyone and left?!!!!!!

Authentic Bavarian tavern with a great atmosphere! 😍 I often go to the Wirtshaus im Sendling and am always impressed. The food is excellent – ​​always fresh, tasty and authentically Bavarian. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. You just feel good. An absolutely recommendable inn – I’ll always be happy to come back! ☺️

A super super friendly staff who you can also joke around with. Plus delicious Bavarian cuisine in a great ambience! What more does the soul want?

Food was good, slightly expensive. The service was okay, however what was wrong with the situation is the server took it upon himself to add a tip of 5 Euros without asking. This was not appreciated and asked for it to be removed and will leave cash if chosen to. Be careful and check your bill! Can see in the photos where the server attempted to add his own tip versus what it looks like when asked for it to be removed! This ruined the dining experience.

The inn has been newly renovated with a new landlord. Friendly staff welcomed us Very beautifully and carefully designed and implemented with taste. We had excellent white sausages and will try more on our next visit The prices are normal Luckily it is just as good and friendly as before. Munich Schitzel is a must 👍👍👍

Love having a Sunday late lunch here:)

Unfortunately in this economy there is so little space that it is not possible to get through with a stroller. There are too many tables in a small space and the noise is so loud that even the waiters have difficulty understanding the order. As well as they have to make themselves heard loudly when bringing the food.

Great inn...not that common anymore.

We have literally invaded the restaurant several times after choir concerts with up to 80 people and at late hours. It is truly fascinating how friendly, calm and confident both the service staff and the kitchen master this situation. Even then, everything happens very quickly and is prepared with care. Cheers!

Typical Bavarian cuisine, honest prices. I tried the Munchner Schnitzel, very greasy and very good. Also worth trying are the Goulaschsuppe and the desserts!

The service is still quite friendly. We had schnitzel and duck on church fair Sunday. The schnitzel was fried very tasty and juicy. Unfortunately, the duck was a little burnt and dry on one side. Too bad. It was already 3 p.m. and the staff was changing shifts. The decoration in the restaurant is very nice.

Menu is simple yet offers plenty of options, even for children and vegetarians/vegans They have a great beer and liquor menu, and the ambiance wasn't loud, just the right place to have dinner with friends, as a couple or just yourself to relax and have great food and drinks.

Stayed at the holiday inn up the street while in Munich. Ate here the first night while our group was wondering around looking for a local place to eat. we sat outside, which was great because it was a comfortable night after the long day of walking around the city. I had the Currywurst, wasn't called that on the menu, but that's what it was. It was delicious! Beer was obviously good. Would happily go back if i make it to the area again ever.

The restaurant was packed when we arrived on a rainy Tuesday evening but we were able to get a table after a 5-minute wait. The waiter told us that it's always busy and reservations are recommended. My friend had the Currywurst and she said it was the best she's ever had. I had the Schweinshaxe (one of my favorites) with potato dumplings and thought it excellent too. I really liked the buzzy atmosphere but, if you've hearing difficulties, it may be challenging as it's quite loud with everyone chatting. Recommended.

Everything almost perfect. On September 19, 2024 we arrived in Munich and decided to spend it in the club. It was a great evening. Friendly and helpful staff in guiding two Italian tourists with little knowledge of German in choosing the dishes. My wife and I left the restaurant satisfied. Unfortunately the next day the staff changed. We were left at the table waiting for over an hour. After my polite request, a girl approached and finally let us eat something. Unfortunately it was already too late to change venues.

Today I was at the Sendlinger Wirtshaus again after a long time. Unfortunately it wasn't good at all. The best thing about my roast pork was the small piece of crust, the meat and the potato dumplings were just fine. The coleslaw didn't work at all, I've never had such a dry salad. No oil, no acid, no salt pepper. Just a little caraway and cress. My partner had the beer goulash, the bread dumplings were dry and tough, the red cabbage was almost tasteless. The goulash had two consistencies, one really good and tender, the other really tough. Were there today for the first time but also for the last time, and the food didn't look that bad.

Birthday dinner with family. Food for the price :-( not really that great. And afterwards we realized that we had been charged too much (a whopping 26 euros crappy). But we were already home by then.

Ordered a burger and salad before closing. The food was really good and the server was friendly and welcoming despite the late hour. I actually am glad I took a pic of the salad because I would love to recreate the combo at home, it's pretty genius. (Sissi) Tried the burger and chips and it was also amazing, well done.

This place does not deserve its 4.3 star rating. We walked into the place we were told outside because we did not have a reservation. Outside we went and the waiter outside told us no inside not enough room. We went back inside and then the three female waitresses were arguing and yelling about us. They didn’t attend to us and made us feel unwelcome and like a burden. Meanwhile the two male staff worked really hard to serve us. They were very slow with taking our orders and bringing out food. My meal was very average. It made me sick the night after. Not worth the wait. Then we waited a while again for the bill to come and a female waitress who avoided us all night to give us the bill and was off her face due to doing substances on the job that we witnessed while the males worked hard. If she did this in other parts of the world she would be fired or worse. I do not recommend this place, will not be back.

There were six of us in the pub in Sendling and we were served relatively quickly. The drinks and food came quickly. We all enjoyed the food very much. Unfortunately, I also discovered that it is very loud in this large guest room. You might want to put curtains on the windows to reduce noise or look for other options. It would be a shame that the charm of the bay. Local things are lost because of the noise level.

We've spent a few days in Munich and this place was by far the best restaurant we've been to. Prices are low compared to the ones in the centre and the food was excellent. We recommend this place if you're in Harras.
