A good inn in Sendling. We'll be back. Highly recommended.

The food is not good, some of it is cold; the service is so-so, the waiters prefer to talk amongst themselves rather than serve.

We visited the restaurant again in April. The atmosphere is lovely after the renovation. The staff is friendly and the food was delicious. The price was also reasonable.

The inn is doing a great job! Modern plates with delicious food. The cordon bleu was good, and the potato salad wasn't from Kugler! It's nice when an inn attracts a mix of young and old guests. The salad was also very good, and the pretzel soup wasn't a sloppy, runny soup. We'll definitely be back.

Stayed at nearby hotel with tour group. Great set meal choice of chicken snitzel, roast pork, Mac n cheese with salad. Ended with a apple n ice cream dessert. Came with beer, wine or juice. Staff were excellent in taking our orders, serving it and provided good service.

A very, very good restaurant. They have a great vegetarian menu. The beer is fresh. We'd gladly come back. We were just unlucky that the staff was overworked. It's recommended to make a reservation beforehand. It can get very crowded, even during the week. Edit: Unfortunately, it's gone downhill. The food isn't as good anymore, and the service isn't pleasant either. You get yelled at or something. Oh well, what a shame.

Historic Bavarian inn with a lovely, shady beer garden. Good food at reasonable prices. Worth a recommendation. However, it's VERY loud inside (90-105dB) due to the walls and ceiling being entirely sound-reflecting. We had earaches afterward. Not really suitable for conversation at the table. Therefore, not recommended for babies, toddlers, or hearing aid users. Card games are allowed. The coleslaw was a bit stale this time.

A Bavarian inn offering Bavarian specialties. - Not exclusively. One point deducted - it used to be better under different management.

My wife and I shared a meal. It was the perfect amount. Food was good. Service was a bit slow, but I would recommend this as a good place to eat. You get your money’s worth.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and was pleasantly surprised. A trio of dumplings with creamy mushrooms, and my husband had a Strammer Max... Everything was incredibly delicious!

The Wirtshaus in Sendling is a pleasant place that I always visit on my visits to Munich. In summer, you can enjoy the shady garden; when the temperatures drop, you can sit in the traditionally furnished parlor, although it can get quite noisy with lots of guests. The selection of dishes is diverse, and the weekly menu offers additional delicacies, such as the Wirtshaus Burger or the less frequently available Krautwickerl (sauerkraut rolls). Today, the black pudding and liver sausage with cabbage and mashed potatoes was a real treat, followed by a wonderful Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancake). The draft beer (Löwenbräu) is easy to drink. The service is always prompt and friendly.

Typical German fare, great food the Obatzda is particularly potent compared to other beer Houses, but great 👍

While traveling from Vienna to Switzerland, we happened upon the Witshaus in Sendling. It was a real win! The ambiance was very sophisticated and stylish, the service impeccable, and the food excellent! We couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you so much! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

The redfish fillet was excellent. Unfortunately, the potato salad was watered down. A shame. The Kaiserschmarrn was excellent.

Friendly atmosphere from start to finish. The waiter helped us with a table eve we didn't have a reservation. Inside there were a lot of tables with families eating and drinking beers. Overall everybody was happy and nice so the Atmosphere was one of the nicest K have seen in a while. The tables were made out of quality wood and it was a pleasure to feel the texture of the wood. As for food it was very good and had some local touches we weren't familiar with. The schnitzel had some horseradish inside. The pork meat had a lot of gravy sauce (had to ask for bread - that was the only thought I had to eat it as it was very good). Wurst and beers were also amazing.

No visit to Munich is complete without a visit to this pub! The food is fantastic, the beer is delicious, and the staff are always cheerful. Thank you, we had a great time with you!

Very good food, friendly service, good price-performance ratio

We were passing through and were looking for a place to eat Bavarian food for the evening. Arriving at the restaurant without a reservation, we discovered that a large party was taking place. The place was completely full. But the waitress (super friendly) told us we could get a table in 10 minutes. And we got it. The food we ordered arrived quickly. And we were immediately impressed. Nothing was overcooked or too salty. There were five of us there, and we all agreed: If you want excellent food, this is the place. The service was excellent even though they were very busy. The ambiance: just how it should be. If we ever go back to Munich, we'll gladly come back. Many thanks from the people of Lower Saxony.

Thank goodness it's open again, beautifully and modernly renovated, food as good as ever, very friendly service. UPDATE 10/14/21 I can only repeat myself, everything is fine. August 2, 2025 everything is okay.

Good inn with good service, delicious food and a hearty atmosphere.

We arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes before closing time, ready to grab a quick beer. Instead, they told us, "That's all we can offer you," and poured us a draft beer, even though we'd ordered a regular beer. No one even bothered to ask what we wanted. We paid for that foam, but didn't drink it. Warning: They don't care about their customers at all.

We came 20 minutes before closing and asked for one beer. At first, they refused to serve us, and then they poured us a glass full of foam, saying, “Here’s your beer, we won’t pour you a proper one – you should be thankful we even gave you this.” We never asked for a “schnitt” (half-pour). The attitude was absolutely awful. We paid for something we didn’t even want and didn't drink and just left.

We had dinner on July 16, 1925. My roast pork and dumplings were only lukewarm, as was my companions' food. The roast pork was tough, like old beef, and the dumplings tasted stale. Conclusion: The worst roast pork I can remember.

Best restaurant in the world! I've been a regular customer since it opened! The food is excellent! The staff is always friendly. The manager, Mrs. Biehl, is always nice to guests, too. I was there again just last Wednesday! A very, very good restaurant.

Lunch in the back garden under the plane trees was very pleasant and relaxing. Typical Bavarian dishes: München schnitzler with potato salad and roast pork with dumplings and salad. The dishes were generous and tasty; vegetarian options were also available. The service was friendly and fast, and the waiter spoke English.

Fish was delicious. Cozy and quiet place. Good for all kinds of visits (single, date, crowd gatherings, etc.). I would recommend making a reservation beforehand.

We spent a few days at the neighboring Holiday Inn and each evening we gorged ourselves on Bavarian specialties and salads in the beer garden. The food was always good and plentiful, and the service staff was attentive and friendly, even when things were getting hectic. The beer garden is a refreshing oasis in the city at 30-degree heat. There's no significant wait time for food or to pay. The weekly menu is very good.

A super nice pub. We go there regularly and are always happy. In summer, we especially like the small, cozy beer garden behind the house :)

To end our stay in Munich, we were looking for a place for a white sausage breakfast and found so much more than that here in the beer garden. The service was top-notch. Authentic, attentive, and very friendly. We had goulash soup, liver dumpling soup, white sausage, and a snack board. Every single component was excellent. We packed leftovers for our long drive back. The elderflower-lime-mint lemonade was very refreshing. Thank you for this memorable ending!

The long-established "Wirtshaus in Sendling" is located on Albert-Roßhaupter-Straße. Old photos hang on the walls inside; it has hardly changed over the years. I thought it was very good. The welcome and service on April 25, 2025, starting at 7 p.m. were friendly. It was quite busy, so we had to wait a while for orders and drinks. Unfortunately, pork knuckle is not a standard dish. And it gets very loud as soon as a third of the tables are occupied. The prices are mid-range: 0.5 l light or dark beer €5, wheat beer €5.30, cordon bleu €19, and very good meatballs €15.60.

I had dinner with my colleagues today on Carnival Tuesday and wanted to say a big compliment to the friendly and friendly staff. We felt very comfortable with you and will be back soon 🫶🍻

You don't want to go to a good restaurant here!!!! (be sure to read to the end) We had to wait 2 hours and the waiter had no idea about the internal system so we needed 6 approaches to place our large order. When we ordered something to drink there wasn't even a requirement at the bar?! Me and my son wanted to go to the toilet so I was sitting there on the normal toilet when suddenly a strange man burst into my cubicle - the lock doesn't work!!!! When the staff had an argument in front of everyone, I put two hundred euros on the table, wrote a note saying that the food was available to everyone and left?!!!!!!

Authentic Bavarian tavern with a great atmosphere! 😍 I often go to the Wirtshaus im Sendling and am always impressed. The food is excellent – ​​always fresh, tasty and authentically Bavarian. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. You just feel good. An absolutely recommendable inn – I’ll always be happy to come back! ☺️

Nice economy in Sendling. We were there for the Weißwurst breakfast and everything was perfect. All conditions were very nice.👍

Food was good, slightly expensive. The service was okay, however what was wrong with the situation is the server took it upon himself to add a tip of 5 Euros without asking. This was not appreciated and asked for it to be removed and will leave cash if chosen to. Be careful and check your bill! Can see in the photos where the server attempted to add his own tip versus what it looks like when asked for it to be removed! This ruined the dining experience.

A super super friendly staff who you can also joke around with. Plus delicious Bavarian cuisine in a great ambience! What more does the soul want?

The inn has been newly renovated with a new landlord. Friendly staff welcomed us Very beautifully and carefully designed and implemented with taste. We had excellent white sausages and will try more on our next visit The prices are normal Luckily it is just as good and friendly as before. Munich Schitzel is a must 👍👍👍

Unfortunately in this economy there is so little space that it is not possible to get through with a stroller. There are too many tables in a small space and the noise is so loud that even the waiters have difficulty understanding the order. As well as they have to make themselves heard loudly when bringing the food.
