Once again we had a good meal in the inn. Prices are reasonable. The service was again friendly and quick, so overall there was nothing to complain about. We'll definitely come back again.

The food was hearty Bavarian. The portions are large and tasty. The staff is quick, friendly and professional. Tomorrow we will probably go to eat Kaiserschmarrn again in the Löwen, because after the main course there was no more room for it

Charming place in the heart of the city offering authentic Bavarian delicacies. Huge portions! We had assorted Sausages plate served with sauerkraut, grated horseradish and fried potatoes + Bavarian starters plate. The food was delicious and freshly made, the brezel even warm. Open kitchen, spacious hall, relaxed vibes. Highly recommend.

Everything is good. Big dish with reasonable price

After a long day at work we were very hungry and decided to have something good to eat. My work colleague recommended us a guesthouse (near the main train station) and we were not disappointed. I ordered onion roast beef with fried potatoes and caramelized Kaiserschmarrn with plum compote. It's been a long time since I've had such delicious Kaiserschmarrn.

A good traditional Bavarian inn. Price-performance ratio is good. There are also only good things to say about the service. The ambience is ok...but not perfect. The drinks are a bit expensive, but the food makes up for it. Large portions and above average quality. We had a Viennese schnitzel, a pork knuckle, a salmon trout and pork medallions Waidler style. There is no shortage of food here... everything is very tasty. Clear recommendation from me. We will eat there more often.

The veal schnitzel was tough and the sauce with the mushrooms was very runny. We won't be coming back...

Great house with a rustic atmosphere

Classic Bavarian cuisine. But be careful - portions are very generous. We didn't make it and had leftovers packed up. The Kaiserschmarrn is also particularly tasty, rustic, and quite large) AH, and the delicious beer at Steinigung!

If you get a seat, you'll be very, very satisfied after your meal.

Cozy Bavarian inn. We ordered surbraten and beer. Even though it was very busy, we were served quickly and very friendly. Everything just fits here. Food excellent, service very friendly. Price-performance is right. We would be happy to come back on our next visit to Passau.

Number 1 restaurant in Passau! Beer was excellent! Service was great! Portions were huge. I mean huge, if you are taking the pork knuckle easy on the starters and beer. Trust me this thing is huge and so so delicious. Coming to Passau and not coming here is a sin. Honestly. Such an incredible place. Best part of our holiday.

Very nice inn. We got a seat on Saturday lunchtime and the food came quickly. The portions are generous, which offsets the slightly higher prices (most dishes between €20-€25). Nice service and no other complaints. Gladly again.

After yesterday evening I have to edit my good review from earlier. There were 5 of us and we went in and sat at a table. We got the menu and were wondering why the waitress didn't come anymore. Afterwards the boss came and expelled us from the house because guests from the left-wing camp had complained to him because we were there. It was enough that a guest was a regionally known politician. The innkeeper It was noted that it was uncomfortable for him, but he should read through the GG Article 3. I came there often in the summer because of the beautiful beer garden, but such discrimination is not possible. At the age of 42, I have never been turned away from a restaurant. Absolutely not recommended

We were only in town for one night and had dinner here. It was super authentic all around and the food was really great! We'd love to come back to you next time! Thanks Manni for the great service! :)

We have been to this inn several times. Always on vacation, both in summer and at the end of November. We are completely thrilled with the food, the friendly service and the cozy atmosphere. It won't be our last visit.

Honest Bavarian tavern In summer there is a very nice guest garden under chestnut trees in the middle of Passau's old town Price matches the performance, service could be a bit more attentive

So the meal was a dream, one of the best venison goulash I have eaten and the Cola wheat took me back to 1998 when I was at BW. Mani's service was great 👍 All I can say as a Central German is a really rustic brewery with traditional cuisine 👍👍👍👍

We went there on a recommendation and as you can see, it was great! Rustic, cozy atmosphere, just like you would imagine a Bavarian inn to be. The menu is varied, but not too big and everything reads deliciously. At the end we had beef broth, venison goulash and a sausage plate. Plus a Cola-Wheat and Dark. We couldn't have asked for a better dinner! Extremely tasty, everything is fresh and Manni is a model waiter that is rarely found anymore. 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

We had a successful evening at the Bavarian Lion yesterday. Started with getting a comfortable seat and a fabulous service employee named Samir, who accompanied us perfectly through the evening despite the huge crowds. We had a fantastic meal, always, fresh drinks and rarely laughed so much. Thank you very much for that!

Der Bayerische Löwe ist mein Stammlokal wenn ich in Passau bin. Uriges Gastzimmer und ein schöner Gastgarten, leider durch Autos eher laut. Gutes Innstadtbier, gebraut bei Hacklberg in Passau. Und erfreulicherweise noch unter 5 Euro die Halbe. Ausgezeichnetes Schweinsbratl mit 2 Knödel und gschmackiger Krautsalat mit Speck. Tagesmenü - genannt "Renner" - um 11 Euro. Flinke und freundliche Kellner. Summa summarum sehr zufrieden

We stopped by spontaneously and actually wanted to have a drink first. Since we liked the menu, the beer was tasty, the service was very nice and the pub was rustic, we decided to eat too. The food and the portions were very good, just as you would expect in a Bavarian inn. Everything was perfect, we felt completely comfortable. To recommend 👍

Eat the duck!!! We have tested several dishes here! The duck is outstanding! Crispy, juicy and tender. One of the best ducks I've eaten. The dumplings and sauce are world class too. The red cabbage was too sweet for my taste. Unfortunately the meatloaf wasn't to my taste at all. I can also recommend the venison steak. But if you like duck, eat the duck!!!

Friendly service, food and portions very good as always. Another real traditional inn where you can stop by. Oh yes, my wife and I come from Upper Austria where people still appreciate good cuisine.

Yesterday we had dinner as a family in the Bavarian Löwen. The food was excellent. What deserves special mention is the Seevice! Our waitress Sabine was great!! Fast, super reliable, attentive and sooooo fond of children! We'll be back :)

We ate and drank deliciously here. Only the “Schwammerl” wasn’t that tasty for our daughter. This is certainly due to the Hessian origins. Ambience is good, staff is friendly. We would eat here again.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

Unfortunately, the beer garden was already very crowded inside and the dogs were disturbing. The portions were very generous and at least the meat dishes were priced absolutely right. The salad was a bit too expensive. The children's meals should have vegetables and not just meat and chips.

It’s my second time to come this Restaurant. The service was expeditious, the food is good. The “Rind Gulasch” and “1/4 Bayerische Ente are so good. Recommended when you visit Passau 🧡

Spontaneous visit to Passau. Locally discovered directly opposite the Stadtgalerie and on the way back to the Lokal car park. Typical Bavarian tavern. We had the roast pork and the Pfandl with roast pork and 1/4 duck. 1x change to 2 potato dumplings without any problem. Service nice and quick. Huge portions and excellent taste. We were so full that unfortunately we couldn't eat any more Kaiserschmarrn - we had other guests and it looked very tasty - and also a huge portion! We'll probably have to come back to Passau😂. Price reasonable for the size of the portions. Highly recommended.

First impression great. Fast service. Map clear. At the time of the visit it was rather quiet in the house (4 p.m.) Food was very good and plentiful. A visit is definitely worth it. Mine was also rather spontaneous.

Rustic and cozy atmosphere. Service was very friendly, courteous and quick. We had Braumeister's grill plate and Bavarian antipasti. Both were very attractively prepared and very tasty 😋 We would be happy to come back next time we visit Passau.

We've been going to this inn for 20 years to eat something or drink beer. Today we were really chased away because we didn't want a menu and only ordered drinks... A disgrace...

Oh well. The napkin dumplings were dry and too hard and I could continue complaining. The food was okay, but nothing more. The service was significantly better.

An inn that has retained its true Bavarian charm. Duck and Böfflamot were perfect, very tasty house beer, large tables, simple wooden benches, nice and capable waitresses, Herrgottswinkel and deer antlers - what more could you want? Really recommended!

I ate duck with potato dumplings and red cabbage. I can't complain about the food. But the wasps made me give them my food without a fight. Strangely enough, they were no longer interested.
