Gutes Essen mit großer Auswahl und schöne Terrasse mit nettem Personal

Wir hatten dort ein tolles Erlebnis – traditionelles Essen, nette Kellner. Eine großartige Vorstellung von typisch bayerischem Flair!

Wir haben köstlich gegessen, das Personal war freundlich, und wir haben den Abend auf einer wunderschön beleuchteten Terrasse sehr genossen.

Nach einem schönen Spaziergang durch Passau wollten wir auf der Terrasse noch gemütlich etwas trinken. Die Gartenmöbel versprühten dabei den unverwechselbaren Charme eines Sonderangebots aus dem Baumarkt, und die Dekoration überzeugte durch ihre konsequente Zurückhaltung. Die Getränke waren erfreulich gut gekühlt und somit der klare Höhepunkt des Besuchs. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns jedoch der Service: Unser Kellner schaffte es, die Rechnung erst nach rund 20 Minuten zu bringen – eine bemerkenswerte Demonstration von Entschleunigung in unserer hektischen Zeit. Als besonderes Extra wurde das Thema Trinkgeld direkt selbst übernommen. So viel Eigeninitiative erlebt man heutzutage selten. Wer also kalte Getränke, minimalistisches Ambiente und überraschende finanzielle Entscheidungen schätzt, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Schönes Lokal an der Donau. Das Personal ist freundlich. Die gutbürgerliche Bayrische Küche bietet für jeden etwas. Die Preise sind moderat.

Ich komme wieder 😍 Haxe und 🍺 (Bild unten) für 16 💶 der Beweis das gut und günstig auch 2026 noch möglich ist. Muss man unterstützen, deswegen komme ich demnächst mit der Familie wieder. Bleibt so wie ihr seit 👍

Immer wieder schön. Wir sind regelmäßig dort.

Wir waren hier mit 6 Leuten und freuten uns auf gutes, regionales Essen, doch leider wurden wir weder vom Essen, noch vom Ambiente begeistert. Am Nebentisch eine Gruppe eines Junggesellenabschiedes, die ständig lautstark am grölen war und eine normale Unterhaltung leider nicht möglich machte. Das Essen war zwar passabel, aber leider überwiegend Convenience, was man auch geschmeckt hat. Die dann doch recht hohen Preise für das Essen finde ich daher nicht gerechtfertigt. Wir kommen nicht noch einmal hierher.

Die Terasse war schön, das Essen hat leider nicht geschmeckt.Selten so einen geschmacklosen Salat gegessen und auf Anfrage konnte ich nicht mal Salz und Pfeffer bekommen.

Essen war leider nix. Service und Ambiente echt toll.

Mittlerweile meine "kulinarische" Adresse, wenn ich Passau besuche. Wie immer, so war ich auch beim letzten Besuch sehr zufrieden. Nicht nur der Service, auch die Küche hat sich merklich verbessert, obwohl sie schon immer gut war. Gerne wieder.

Bei meinem steirischem Salatteller war leider Kartoffelsalat dabei, obwohl das in der Speisekarte nicht genannt wurde. Insgesamt leckeres Essen und gute Bedienung bei unseren heutigen ( 3.3.26) Besuch

Ausgezeichnetes bayerisches Restaurant. Schönes Ambiente, tolle Terasse. Die Mittagskarte ist der Hammer betreffend Preis/Leistung. Freundlicher fachkundiger Service. Hier gibts noch Original bayerische Kost, wo sonst gibts noch Leber sauer oder Kalbslüngerl? Ich bin begeistert und komme nun regelmässig. Das Kalbslüngerl ist schön sauer, toll gemacht und wird mit 2 Semmelknödeln serviert, und das für 10,80 €.

Leider hatte ich eine Spinne im Essen!👎🏻

Top! Wir waren als Familie dort. Kurz dazu entschlossen um 14.30 Uhr. Der Sauerbraten mit Spätzle und Blaukraut, Schnitzel mit Pommes und Dreierlei am Brettl mit Wurstsalat,Opazda und Kartoffelkas mit 2 offenfrische Brezeln waren sehr lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Seife im WC war leer. Wir kommen wieder!

Gediegene bayerische Braugaststätte. Essen eher einfch angerichtet. Nachtisch schlecht.

Tolles Essen. Die halbe Ente, und der Tafelspitz waren ganz hervorragend. Service auch Top. Empfehlung!

Essen war sehr gut, alles frisch, kein Convenience dabei. Service war auf zack und nett. Ambiente Typ "niederbairisches Wirtshaus".

Wir waren zwei Tage in Folge dort. Nach dem Wandern gab es einen Tee, Bier und Kaiserschmarrn. Und nächsten Tag zum Mittag, weil uns die Karte sehr gefiel. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet lecker. Zu den Käsespätzle gab es eine besonderen großen und frischen Salat. Die Spinatknödel wurden mit würzigem Ratatouille und Käse überbacken. Kaiserschmarren auf die Eins!!!! Einen Stern Abzug: Leider steht in der Karte, dass es Peschl-Hausbier vom Fass gibt, dieses aber nicht mehr gebraut wird. Die Gastgeber beziehen aus einer nahegelegenen Brauerei, was auch gut schmeckte.

Tolles Essen! Sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre. Leider grantelte der Ober mit uns. Dann kam Suppe und Hauptgang gleichzeitig und ein Gericht wurde dann erst auf Nachfragen nachgereicht. Vielleicht einfach Pech gehabt. Sonst auf alle Fälle eine Empfehlung. Das Passauer tellerfleisch war sehr lecker mit dem geriebenen Meerrettich. Danke dafür!

Ausgezeichnete bayrische Küche. Gute Preis-Leistung.

Typische traditionelle Brauhausstube, würde ich sagen. Das Bier hat mir geschmeckt, das Essen sowieso. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend, und ich musste auch nicht lange warten (könnte aber auch an der Uhrzeit gelegen haben). Die Portion war großzügig, sodass ich mir die Hälfte einpacken ließ.

The Peschl Terrace is located at Roßtränke 4, 94032 Passau. It's a fantastic place. The atmosphere is great, and the ambiance is lovely. I recently enjoyed several beers and a beef roulade there. Die Peschl - Terrasse ist an der Roßtränke 4, in 94032 Passau gelegen. Insoweit handelt es sich hierbei um eine phantastische Lokalität. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gut und das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön. Unlängst habe dort diverse Biere getrunken und eine Rindsroulade verzehrt. Beides war sehr delicious. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, sozial kompetent und sehr wertvoll. Ich darf diese vortreffliche Adresse gerne weiter empfehlen. Quaint inn with a traditional menu. I enjoyed the food. The beer was also very good. The price-performance ratio is good. The service is very friendly. A reservation is recommended.

During a city tour, we wanted to have lunch. We entered the quaint taproom through a somewhat hidden entrance across the street. From the menu, I chose the farmer's schnitzel and wasn't disappointed. The price-performance ratio is excellent, as is the quality of the food. The two naturally fried schnitzels were accompanied by fried potatoes that truly lived up to their name, with a delicious roasted flavor, and bacon that was just right for the crispy bits. Everything was piping hot and freshly prepared. We also enjoyed a good, aromatic beer. All this at a price that makes you wonder if you're in a touristy area. It must be even nicer on the terrace in the summer. We'll definitely be back.

We spontaneously decided to stop at the Peschl Terrace for lunch on a Tuesday. The waitress, a lovely lady, gave us a warm welcome. The food arrived very quickly and was a generous portion. The venison goulash with red cabbage and dumplings was delicious; the sauce had a hint of cinnamon and cloves and a hint of pre-Christmas flavor. If we lived nearby, we would definitely come here for a meal more often. Keep up the good work!

Beautiful Bavarian inn with friendly staff and very good food.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and we loved it. The food was excellent. The young waitress was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Delicious, home-style food with generous portions. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself was freezing cold, and many people were sitting there in their jackets. So we left quickly. A shame, really.

Thank you so much for your hospitality, the great food, and the fair prices. It was delicious, and we'll definitely be back when we're in Passau again.

Munich schnitzel and cordon bleu with wild garlic cream cheese are delicious, the service is a bit overwhelmed, the front tables are above the street, where posers often hang out.

Fine Bavarian cuisine. The Bavarian Cordon Bleu and Kaiserschmarrn are highly recommended!

You pay for the view. The food was subpar and the service was nonexistent. Water glass went dry and the waiter never checked on the table. If not for the amazing view view i would have given a 1 on my review.

Delicious Bavarian food at fair prices. Very friendly staff.

Beautiful terrace overlooking the river. The portions are generous, and you'll definitely be full. I had cheese spaetzle with fried onions and salad. The spaetzle are served with cheese and cream, just the right blend, allowing the cheese to drape beautifully; very tasty. A little more salt would have been good, but you can also adjust the seasoning yourself. I felt comfortable. The terrace is nicely sheltered and not overlooked. It's located above the pavement, so you won't be disturbed by the tourists on the promenade, but you can still watch the hustle and bustle. This restaurant is also impressive in terms of prices. You can pay in cash or by card.

A wonderful, old brewery on the edge of Passau's old town. Its terrace overlooks the Danube. The menu featured typical southern German dishes, but also a few culinary surprises.

Regional dishes, generous portions, very attentive and friendly service, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended if you want good, authentic food in Passau.

Very good food at reasonable prices! Children's schnitzel €7.50 Homemade venison goulash with dumplings and a truly delicious red cabbage, which also seems homemade (€17.50). One point deducted for the men's restroom, which smelled unpleasant and was partially broken. The women's restroom, on the other hand, was good. Hopefully, it'll be okay next time.

We had a quick bite to eat on the covered terrace. The food was delicious, but the waiters weren't very German in their dealings. They even told us to Google what we wanted...

Hospitality is a given here (whether from the chef, waiters, or kitchen staff). The servers are friendly, flexible, and quick. The food is fresh, well-seasoned, and served hot. The Bavarian Cordon Bleu is highly recommended. We've been coming here for many years and will, of course, return.

We sat for lunch on the beautiful Danube terrace. Great food (including an incredibly large selection of schnitzel and cordon bleu), extremely friendly and attentive service, and reasonable prices. A definite recommendation!

Beautiful views of the Danube from the terrace, a rustic dining room, delicious beer, and friendly service. The dishes are a cross-section of Bavarian and German cuisine. There are also good vegetarian options. Overall, the food presentation seems rather unambitious and old-fashioned, but the price is reasonable. The potato salad was actually just potatoes, which was a shame. Bottom line: It was okay.

The terrace is a pleasant place to sit. The service is friendly. The food looked good, but tasted marginal.

I can recommend Peschl. There is one caveat: the currywurst comes with a horrible-tasting, gritty sauce. I'd order it without it in the future and get ketchup separately. A friend also found the sauce too strange and wouldn't eat it again.

Discovered by chance with six friends. Great terrace to relax, tasty and affordable food, beer at a reasonable temperature, and a waiter in his lederhosen doing a great job. What more could you need?

We ate there yesterday, and it was so delicious and exceptionally priced. We were both thrilled: the waitress, a young man, was amazing, really on the ball, very friendly, attentive, and super nice. The beer tasted excellent, the portions were large, very presentable, and absolutely delicious!

One of the few reasonably priced restaurants in Passau. Delicious Bavarian food and good beer. Friendly service and a very customer-oriented approach. With a great view of the Danube and plenty of greenery, we were truly satisfied and would happily recommend the Peschl Terrace.

Delicious food and friendly service. We barely had to wait, yet the food still felt like it wasn't a convenience store. Price-wise, it's definitely a good alternative. Payment, including tips, is possible by credit card.

This is a super-great restaurant❣️ I was there on May 1st and my birthday. The terrace is beautiful—elevated above the street and with a view of the Danube. The menu is quite extensive. The main courses and desserts were delicious for all my guests; everyone was happy and satisfied with their meal. The service is very friendly. And the prices are reasonable, too. Thank you 😍

It's a shame we were there two years ago. Everything was delicious. Yesterday's visit was disappointing. Backhänl (a pork knuckle) with ice-cold potato salad and the knuckle of pork with dumplings and thick gravy, and green salad instead of sauerkraut. No, not really. I suspect a new chef.

Three asparagus spears, the smallest schnitzel ever and two small diced potatoes. No butter, no salt, not a lettuce leaf. The Styrian salad was absolutely watery and without any spice. The dressing was just on the side of the plate. The chicken was delicious. Honestly, it felt like an absolute tourist rip-off to us :(

Impeccable price-performance ratio. Visited twice on Easter weekend. On Easter Sunday without reservation/waiting time on the terrace with a view of the Danube. The only “criticism”: I would have liked a small side salad with the cordon bleu.

The place was empty apart from a party from a river cruise ship in another room. Friendly and pleasant waiter. Food was awful and I only ate some of it because I was hungry. I wished I hadn't as I later felt slightly queasy.vSuch a shame as it looked a nice, traditional place.

Cozy restaurant with delicious food and a very attentive and friendly waiter.

I come from Mainz and think it's great. Excellent cuisine, especially the sauces and the thinly pounded schnitzels. Great service, very nice location and very nice ambience. Always my pleasure. A very likeable young chef. I would happily recommend it again and again. The delicious tomato soup is very commendable.

Unfortunately it didn't convince us

I recently visited Peschl Terrasse and would like to share my experiences. The ambience of the brewery is definitely a highlight - quaint and rustic, just as you would imagine. It conveys an authentic atmosphere that invites you to linger. The service deserves special praise. The staff was very attentive and tried hard, which made the stay pleasant. You felt well looked after and welcome. As far as the food was concerned, unfortunately there was room for improvement. I tried the cheese dumplings, which didn't completely convince me. There is still room for improvement in the preparation or recipe. The beer was definitely a bright spot. It was tasty and met the expectations of a traditional brewery. You can taste the quality and care in the production. Overall, the Peschl Terrasse offers a cozy atmosphere with good service and delicious beer. There is still room for improvement when it comes to food. Nevertheless, it is worth a visit, especially for beer lovers and those who appreciate an authentic brewery atmosphere.

Great value for money, nice staff

You can eat delicious food there and the dog was allowed in. We were even given a special table where the dog could lie down comfortably under the bench. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
