The staff were really friendly and attentive! Unfortunately, our food was lukewarm, if anything, and we didn't really enjoy it.

If you talk to the right waiter, everything is possible. The regulars at the table said we could sit with them, no problem at all, but the somewhat governess waitress (female) said we had to go. I said in short, if you're serious, that's the last time I come here. Her tall colleague, who noticed this, finally found us a seat in the shade. There's service and there's service. Guys, I don't sit directly in the sun when it's 35°.

We took a spontaneous break in the beer garden. Unfortunately, it's right on the street. The waitress saw us upon arrival and greeted us cautiously, but then it took a while, and she was also rather abrupt when taking our drinks (we just wanted something to drink).

Unfortunately, absolutely NOT a recommendation! In addition to the long wait and very unfriendly service, half the menu was unavailable! To top it all off, the food we ordered tasted burnt (not visually noticeable). If you have a lot of patience and nerves, you can still enjoy the traditional pub atmosphere! Won't be back.

A very nice, traditional Bavarian restaurant. The cuisine is traditional Bavarian and very delicious. It's very well located in the heart of the historic old town. All in all, it's definitely worth recommending.

Very uncomfortable, food large portion

Bräuhaus? Very good! Friendly service, good food – thank God they renovated it! The atmosphere? Rustic, rustic, rustic. It feels like being in a mountain cabin, but with German beer! Only thing: the bathrooms have no door… but that’s okay, it’s part of the “charm”. In the end, you eat well, you feel at home – and that’s what matters.

We were in Passau on Saturday and stopped in for dinner. The restaurant has a very cozy, rustic atmosphere. The server was very friendly and prompt, and the food arrived quickly and tasted excellent. The prices were also absolutely reasonable. We really enjoyed it and can definitely recommend the restaurant.

Ate sauerbraten and roast pork here. The former was juicy and good, as was the dumpling. Unfortunately, the dark beer sauce was almost cold and uninspired and the roast pork was very, very dry. Probably wouldn't come back. But the service was quick and very friendly.

Yum, yum, YUM! ✅️ Location - so.cute, right by the river ✅️ Service - we were mer and served by a very lovely lady. Prompt service. ✅️ Atmosphere - such a cute little Haus that is beautifully authentic Bavarian ✅️ Food - OMG!! We had the Weiner Shnitzel & Jägershnitzel. Both were phenomenal!!! Definitely recommend, I can't wait to come back next time we're in Germany!!

Good tradional german restaurant, reasonable prices

Here again after 10 years. Just like back then: delicious Wiener schnitzel, beer and shandy. All of us (4 guests) were very satisfied. Oh what a great service.

Quite conveniently located. We sat outside, which is right next to a small roundabout.

Unfortunately the visit was a failure as far as the main course was concerned. The beer is very good. Salad and soup too. The main course, a surbraten terrible. The meat was probably dumped. A very penetrating, strongly sour, salty, persistent taste with bad consequences until the next day. There are other locations in Passau, just keep looking.

We sat forever. A roast pork in a Bavarian brewery doesn't take more than an hour. You cut it down, sauce over it, dumplings on the plate, why you have to wait over an hour is incomprehensible. The recessions used to be good. I wouldn't eat there anymore at the moment. Dispatch in the lamest way. Food mediocre. I'm at home there. But I'd rather go to the Bavarian Lion. There's a world of difference. You get the food at coffee hour. Annoyed service. You don't have to do that. The time is too bad for that. I don't want to mention the toilet. Paper towels were out, basin broken, smell. Cheers meal.

Kurz, nie wieder. Kein Vergleich zum Bayerischen Löwen. Wir haben deutlich über eine Stunde auf den Schweinebraten gewartet. Den muss man nur herunterschneiden, Soße drüber und den Knödel auf den Teller, was da über eine Stunde benötigt ist unerklärbar in einem bayerischen Bräuhaus. Die knusperige Schwarte war auf einem Teller labbrige Fettschicht, die anderen 3 Portionen waren ok. Schnitzel Wiener Art eher klein, Kartoffelsalat war eher Kartoffelbrei und sauer. Gekochtes Gemüse als Garnitur hatte ich noch nie. Zucchini und gelbe Rüben eher ungewöhnlich zum Schnitzel Wiener Art. Aber Preiselbeeren! Nichts Besonderes macht keinen Spaß. Käsespätzle waren in Ordnung.

Die weibliche Bedienung war freundlich der Kellner etwas genervt. Essen ist etappenweise gekommen. Bier in falsche Gläser oder Krüge - bei Reklamation war der Kellner naja. Essen war OK aber auch nicht so das gelbe vom Ei. Einmal und nie wieder.

Delicious roast pork, gladly again

Wir kamen wegen Empfehlung. Essen dauerte ewig. Meine Frau hatte Würste, kalt, Sauerkraut, zerkocht. Mussten wir nicht bezahlen, aber so ein einfaches Essen sollte eine Küche hinkriegen. Ich hatte Cordon Bleu, Na ja, würde ich nicht noch mal bestellen, die Bratkartoffeln waren gut, mein Essen kam erst 10 Minuten nach dem meine Frau ihr Essen bekam. Ambiente rustikal und bodenständig !

Das Essen war eine Katastrophe, hauptsächlich Massenabfertigung. Die Toiletten waren selbst für Männer ekelhaft und haben nach Urin gestunken. Die letzte Reinigung muss Wochen her sein

I was at the location today with a friend. We are both very enthusiastic when it comes to Bavarian cuisine. But what awaited us there was anything but Bavarian. First of all, I have to say that I'm not a fan of the arcobräu brewery, but that doesn't necessarily have to be an exclusion criterion. Rather, the roast pork that I was served, in combination with the non-critical service staff, gave me something to think about. The first thing I noticed is that there are 2 different cards. Once in English and once in German (signs of a tourist trap). As a concrete example, the rahmschnitzel which was listed as 50 cents less on the non-German menu, this not only shows bad management, but also leaves me, as a German speaker, in a worse position as a guest. When asked if it tasted good, I explained very politely that the roast was too dry for me and that it was difficult to cut it with the butter bread knife. I then got a rude answer along the lines of: the 40 people in front of me didn't complain either. All in all, I can advise against visiting this restaurant. I might have given it another chance, but with an answer like that I'd rather save my money. In every chip shop you are treated more friendly as a paying customer

Tourist rip-off. If you're looking for hearty Bavarian cuisine here, you'll find it in vain. Only a grim waitress awaits you here. At the entrance to the restaurant, an employee came towards us with smelly organic waste. The whole store also smells bad. In my (and my guest's) opinion, food is completely forgettable. More of a place for ignorant tourists or alcoholics who linger at the bar. No recommendation.

A stylish inn with friendly service. The roast pork and potato dumplings (grated dumplings) that we ordered were not okay. Despite the long wait, the roast was hard/tough and hard to cut, but the dumpling was excellent. Maybe next time...

Shkarny restaurant. DELICIOUS. ORDER is prepared quickly. Tastes good. I LIKED THE DARK BEER BETTER. I recommend.

We were just there to have coffee. It was a sunny day and we sat outside. Location is excellent, right next to the Danube. Now we wanted to smoke a cigarette with our coffee. This was forbidden to us by the waiter. We didn't get an ashtray, because the table was from the inside of the restaurant, we weren't allowed to smoke outside!!!! If we had been on a garden table we would have been allowed. Such logic! But they were occupied by non-smokers. Keep your eyes open when choosing a table!!!

We were recently on a short trip to Passau and stopped at the Bräuhaus shortly before 9 p.m. We received a friendly welcome from the service. Our dogs were also welcome. Despite the relatively late time, it wasn't a problem to get something to eat. We ate 2 x pork knuckles with dumplings, cabbage and an excellent sauce. Plus a dark Arcobrau on tap. Everything at a top price. If we're nearby we'll come back!

The food was good But unfortunately I was driven away from my table with the words "Sneak di" I then sat down at another table. Shortly afterwards the waitress came and said that this table was reserved even though there was no reserved sign on the table. I was offered to go to the counter. I didn't want to pay and left. Maybe it was just regular guests who thought the place belonged to them and they said who was allowed to sit where. I won't be coming back even though the food was good

Типичная немецкая пивная. Большие столы, очень шумно, официант в кожаных шортах. Обслуживали довольно быстро. Мужу очень понравилось его блюдо: шницель в грибном соусе, особенно сам соус. А мне мое не особо: мясной хлеб леберкезе оказался просто обжаренным ломтиком вареной колбасы, а картофельный салат был слишком уксусным, пожалела, что не заказала что-то другое. Еще не понравилось, что маленький бокал пива 0,3 литра стоит практически столько же, сколько кружка 0,5. Разница в цене всего 20 евроцентов!

I was here the summer before last and I must have put the experience aside because just like last time we had a terrible experience with the waitress with the black hair. We were ignored the entire time while the guests around us were being served and asked what was going on. We would have to draw attention to ourselves several times to get people to come to us. And even then we were treated hypocritically nicely. The couple who sat down at the same time as us had long since left while we (three people) were still waiting for our food. There was nothing wrong with the food, the prices were ok. When we paid we were asked if we wanted to give a tip. When we visited 2 years ago, we were treated unfriendly by the same waitress. The lady seems to have a problem with young women. The other guests were treated sensibly.

We ate on a Sunday at 1 p.m. with 6 people, everything was great, quick and very friendly service, is recommended for Bayer. Kitchen lover.

A typical Bavarian place with traditional meals. Been here a couple of times and will always visit when in Passau. Traditional atmosphere, friendly staff and genuine Bavarian meals. Visited it in summer and in winter and experienced both realities. In summer it can be packed with a lot of demand, though we were lucky to get a table outside, and in winter it is quiet with a local atmosphere, as most of the customers are locals. Great service and great local vibe. The food is genuine and I was lucky to visit it during their Schweinshaxe period (January to February). Tried it, loved it and will definitely try again.
