Weltenburger am Dom in Regensburg

While the staff was super friendly, the kitchen left a lot to be desired - the quality of the food definitely doesn't justify the price. The soups were lukewarm and tasted mainly like Maggi. The salad was so sour and salty that it was barely edible. The main courses were equally disappointing: Käsespätzle didn't taste like cheese and was buried under a mountain of fried onion that was cold and not crispy. When it came to roast pork, the sauerkraut and dumplings were okay, but the meat was barely edible because it was so salty. The worst roast pork I've ever eaten. Staff and atmosphere were nice.

Real Bavarian restaurant. As soon as you enter you notice the typical smell. Service and food were very good. Thank you.

I was there for dinner today and it was really tasty, the food was traditional and very well seasoned, especially the meat was tender and the portions were large, the service was friendly and quick, the price is completely reasonable for the quality of the food and the location is also very central and overall it was a very pleasant experience

Bodenständige Küche mit großen aber guten Portionen, Schäufele war sehr lecker, viele Biersorten. Suppe hätte etwas wärmer sein können. Sicherlich auch viele Touristen

We had lunch with cordon bleu and potato wedges. Both fried. It was served without sauce and was therefore so dry that it was difficult to swallow. The waiter was then approached and asked for sauce. This was then included in the invoice. The chef said the other 20 guests enjoyed it. He didn't want to comment on the menu because his boss had the day off. The managing director then understood and agreed with us. Either breaded cordon blue with something juicy like potato salad or a sauce with it. He took the sauce off the bill and even bought us a coffee. This is how customer service should be. This time we were dissatisfied, but we'll come back and eat roast onion, which looked very tasty.

The tradition of German cuisine opposite Regensburg Cathedral: I ate a hearty and juicy Schäuferl with dumplings in the cozy atmosphere of the beer garden. The Weltenburger beer is excellent (the oldest monastery beer in the world).

We were there on New Year's Eve, it was very busy but there was food and drinks were served in a reasonable time. The only thing that bothered me was the noise level, which made it difficult for me to have a conversation with my table companions

Das Essen ist nicht besonders hervorzuheben: Die Frittatensuppe schmeckte sehr nach gekauftem Wildfond, die Ente war recht trocken, das Rotkraut langweilig. Auch das vegetarische Essen glänzte nicht durch besondere Raffinesse. Insgesamt sehr durchschnittlich. Da gibt es sicherlich bessere Gaststätten in Regensburg. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

The food was good and the location right in the city was of course great. It's a bit noisy in such a large cellar vault, but it's hard to avoid it. The staff is super friendly and it's quick because you have a certain time window but that's enough.

The service in the restaurant is very unpleasant, there is a long wait for everything, we even waited more than 30 minutes for the bill, after repeated warnings, an angry waitress came. The food doesn't quite match the price and was very very salty, the beer ordinary, which you can get elsewhere for a lower price. The restaurant has a nice interior, but I wouldn't go again. Lots of better businesses nearby.

Top evening!!!! Unfortunately the sauce from the Barrockschnitzel was a bit too salty. Otherwise it was a top dish. The black duck was also very tasty. Service was top. Ambiance was also great.

We had a little Christmas party. We reserved the table. We would be served like in the subway. Just about the next the next. The food was nothing special but the price was extremely high for the quantity. We were often asked to hurry up. There are much better places in Regensburg. In my opinion not a recommendation...

We reserved a table online at short notice and everything worked out great! As a starter we had the chestnut cream soup which was very tasty. The roast pork and the zander fillet were also very tasty. Unfortunately, Schäufele wasn't good at all. As if the Schäufele had been warmed up again and again for several days and not sold. Dumpling very soft, almost mushy. Hardly any sauce available. But as written, only the Schäufele thing wasn't good. Oh and the price for the 0.4 l beer is quite an announcement. Everything else was fine

We had onion roast, venison ragout and roast pork, everything tasted sensationally good and was served to us very quickly by the extremely nice Sarah. At the end there were valuable tips on what to do in Regensburg. Great restaurant in a cozy atmosphere!

Ten of us wanted to have a leisurely lunch here but unfortunately we were treated very badly. The food was good but when we toasted with a beer we were immediately admonished about the whole restaurant. A very depressing atmosphere for a brewery. Unfortunately not recommended for us

If you want to try something very typical Bavarian this is the place, we had a Snitchzel between two (a fillet per person and potatoes), a Beef Soup with cheese dumplings and a goat cheese salad, all very good. The service was fantastic, we were served by Antonia, a girl who had no problem assisting us in perfect English and then told us several things in Spanish, all with great kindness, a smile and quickly.

The food was okay, the waitresses were very unfriendly. You weren't allowed to laugh. This was expressly forbidden/unwanted. The female blonde waitress constantly warned us not to have fun. I don't expect this in a brewery/tavern.!!! Very disappointed.

Nice traditional place in the heart of the old town. It was quiet when we came around 5pm on a weekday, but got busier later in the evening. Fast service, decent food and some lovely house beers.

Nice restaurant in an old vault. The staff tried hard to offer good service. Unfortunately, neither in between nor when clearing up did anyone ask whether the food was tasty. That was only the case to a limited extent. The portions of the dishes are large. Both the potato and leek soup (€8.40) and the cheese spaetzle (€13) were salty and over-seasoned. The cheese spaetzle was relatively dry. I would have expected better for the price quoted. A positive thing to mention is that there is a vegan dish on the menu. Would like more of that.

Everyone gets that tavern feeling here. Very pleasant, although sometimes very loud when there is a lot going on. The service has been on point and has always been friendly. The beer garden is also pleasantly designed. The food is very tasty and the typical dish “Bockbierschnitzel” is definitely recommended.

Food was quite good. But organizationally impossible. We have reserved a table for a company party. When making the reservation we were not told that there was a follow-up reservation. At the end we were suddenly cashed in and asked to leave. It doesn't work that way. We will definitely never have a company party at Weltenburger again.
