I arrived early for my reservation. Lovely quiet table under the trees. Superb food and delicious bier. The pork two ways was amazing. My server was absolutely brilliant.

They forgot that they had made a reservation for a wedding, which is why it wasn't decorated and they were greeted unsympathetically. Not even congratulations were expressed. Very unfriendly service. Also to other guests. The menu mentioned salmon trout. The daily menu only said trout. Which is why I was surprised that I also got a salmon trout... In general we were really disappointed. The fact that we received such an unfriendly welcome really dampened the mood for the bride and groom.

Our food arrived quickly, was super tasty and absolutely fresh. The freshly tapped beer is a dream... Special praise goes to the children's menu with crayons and the prices, which make eating out with the kids fun again - RESPECT!!! And thank you “TONI”!!!

We were lucky and got a table on Sunday evening without a reservation. The staff was very friendly & attentive, the food was very good. You get traditional Bavarian cuisine with a modern influence, such as Bavarian tapas. The background noise is quite high when it's full, but that's what makes a pub cozy...

Very nice restaurant. Even at peak times you only wait 15-20 minutes for your food. Even though all tables were full, the waitress came to us several times and asked how satisfied we were. The portions are really good. Extra sauce was available free of charge. I recommend everyone to reserve in advance. Will definitely come again.

Nice beer garden for connoisseurs, not visible from the street but in a quiet location. Reservations are recommended for the beer garden.

Top service. Great food and an authentic Bavarian pub. Maybe a little noisy when it's full. But that's how it should be. The beer garden is also very big and good. Completely closed at the top with large umbrellas.

During the summer, only the beer garden was open. The food is delicious, the beer is good, but it seemed to us that it was less fresh than in the monastery.

We were introduced to the restaurant/beer garden by chance by locals. Perfect addition to our short trip to Regensburg. A beautiful beer garden at the back, nice and shady in sunny weather with a rustic atmosphere: beautiful table decorations with flowers in snap-top beer bottles. Generally cozy and inviting. The food was delicious, although it was difficult to choose despite the clear menu. (I would have liked to try everything.) Vegetarians also get their money's worth. Weltenburger beer in all variations and at the end a pumpkin seed oil ice cream with cream and cherries. Right next to the cathedral and yet relaxed in the backyard. I can only recommend stopping by. (We were there for lunch on Tuesday)

The four of us went to the beer garden today and had an excellent dinner. Excellent service, great ambience, fine cuisine. Great. 5* You really don't need anything more. We'd love to come back.

Beer garden very nice, even in the rain, food good. We were there with 20 people. Almost everyone was satisfied with the food. However, everyone thinks that the prices are way too high. A roast pork over 20 euros is outrageous and not worth it. So if you want to eat normally and have normal prices, you have to avoid this place. Just because it's at the cathedral and you can't see it from the beer garden doesn't mean you have to set excessive prices. The landlord just wants the best for us.

Schnitzel too dry. Received the wrong side dish and then charged extra for the right side dish that arrived is cheeky. It doesn't work at all. Nope. Once is enough.

5 stars very well deserved. We were lucky to get a spot in the beer garden early on a Saturday evening. The service was more than quick, really great praise for the service staff, especially the two ladies who served us in a very hospitable and warm manner. We had schnitzel Viennese style and Bockbier schnitzel, it was very tasty, rich and the food didn't take long to arrive. Gladly again at any time 🤗

Thanks for a very tasty burger. I can easily recommend the Burger with chanterelles. The meat is tasty and well prepared. Chanterelles give a unique taste. A whole set of sauces and mustards for the table dishes. Great idea. It was my first time in Regensburg and I will remember not only the monuments and people, but also your tasty burger. PS I also tried some of your white sausage. So delicious. I recommend

We had a reservation at 8pm, made our orders around 8:15 and got the main dishes about 9:20, the food was too salty and dry, like food warmed up in a microwave. We had forel, schnitzel, goulash and a pork shouder. Service was presumably overloaded and the waiting time was too long. Total waste of time and money.

When the weather is nice, the freshly tapped beer tastes great under the old grape arbor! Highly Recommended!!!

Best Schnitzel of my entire life, and I’m not even kidding! In one week that I was staying in Regensburg I went there 3 times! It became like a gastronomic guilty addiction. Every dish was amazing and we’ve got to even have a great German smiley waitress! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough

We sat in the beautiful beer garden. Service was very attentive and friendly and the food (Weltenburger Schnitzel) was very tasty. Smaller portions are also offered, which are completely sufficient to fill you up. The Weltenburger tastes very good anyway. The price-performance ratio is consistent.

The beautiful traditional beer garden, under the trees and so cool even in summer, is located right next to the cathedral. The service staff is friendly, attentive and quick, well trained and therefore pleasant. The food, a lunch menu, was very good and very plentiful, and also quite cheap. The soup was creamy, the salad was fresh, the meat was crispy breaded and the potato salad was perfectly seasoned. It came to the table very hot and fresh. The beer from the Weltenburg monastery brewery went wonderfully with it.

We had dinner with 8 people on Sunday lunch. Friendly and perfect service, very good food and great beer (baroque dark... super tasty). We were very satisfied with the Bockbier schnitzel (even the small portions are plenty) and the roast pork. Fresh onions, good fried potatoes and a delicious sauce. We sat in a small side room. That was perfect.

There were 4 of us. Age 63 to 89:-). 3 vegans, one flexitarian. Service and ambience nice. The restaurant was full and loud. Food traditional and simple. No whole plant-based food on offer. The Flexi was also dissatisfied with his meal/schnitzel. However, the majority of guests seemed to have a different opinion and enjoyed themselves.

Excellent German beer. We had the wienerschnitzel and pork knuckle, which came with potato salad and potato dumpling.. They had a choice of a regular or smaller portion, which was nice for lunch. Both entrees were delicious. Very friendly and helpful English speaking waitress. Nice cozy biergarten. Reasonable prices. 20 euro each. Highly recommend.

Beautiful pub garden in the heart of the old town. I don't like the new concept. Not suitable for a beer garden or tavern. The food is very nicely prepared but too much chichi with manageable quantities. Service is always top! Children (usually) receive crayons and coloring templates without being asked. In the past, you could still look through the gate into the beer garden and when you spotted a free seat, go through the gate to the corresponding table. Now you have to go through the house and then be seated

Typical Bavarian restaurant in the historic center of Regensburg, next to the cathedral. It is perhaps the oldest restaurant in the city, frequented by both tourists and local customers. Great beer, food...usually German. Superabundant portions. Questionable taste, at least in my personal opinion. Anyway worth trying.

The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. The meal takes longer when the entire terrace is full at 19⁰⁰. But it's better you have time for another beer. We will be back! Here again a month later. Top food, top service. A heartfelt recommendation. We will come back again and again!

I was there for lunch the other day. The selection is very limited. The schnitzel wasn't particularly tasty. The fried potatoes as a side dish weren't really fried potatoes... more like potato chips. I mean something different by Bavarian fried potatoes. The ambience is great. The service is also very friendly. However, it was very busy, so I had to ask to pay four times.

Unfortunately not like it was a year ago. Last year on April 29th We had an excellent meal with 6 adults and 3 children and felt very satisfied. That's why we planned a family trip there. First of all, I was very surprised by the greatly reduced menu. The selection was very limited. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the quality and the taste. Won't be coming back.

In the "Weltenburger am Dom" in Regensburg, you can enjoy really fine "regional, home-style" dishes in the rustic but very inviting vaulted cellar. Plus good, very tasty home-made beer from our own brewery (quite well known). “Culinary heart, what more could you want?” 😁 The staff is mostly very friendly and accommodating and usually quite prompt. A clear recommendation for all Regensburg vacationers!

We ate here after a trip to Regensburg. The food was very good and the service excellent. We had 3 babies with us, so the restaurant was also very child-friendly. They offered us high chairs, a children's menu and crayons. Even though our children were still too small for it, I found the offer very thoughtful. Our waitress Luisa was extremely friendly and immediately on hand. We'd love to come back! The only drawback: portions could have been a little larger.

We were very impressed by the shady and pleasant beer garden. The online reservation (including a reminder the day before) worked wonderfully and the reception and service was wonderful. Although a larger group arrived shortly after us, we were served attentively. The food and of course the beer were excellent! We'd love to come back!

Positive experiences first: the food was very good, the service was very friendly. Now the but: when I order an aperitif, they can't put the food in front of me 5 minutes after it was served. Wine and water were ordered with the meal, neither came, not even when asked, the waitress' quote: "We are still looking for the wine". Just ask yourself why you didn't at least get the water. The drinks came 5 minutes after the char was eaten. The waitress was offended that they didn't want it anymore (White Wine with the Fish, not after the Fish, James). The tip, which was significantly reduced due to these circumstances, was also commented on with insults. It's a shame, more could have been made of it, but the impression remains that instead of fine Bavarian cuisine, it's more about quick processing.

We often come to this restaurant when we have guests and they want to visit a typical Bavarian inn. We can recommend it for that. They are centrally located, very nice rooms. The food tastes okay and the portions are generous. Individual components were less to our taste, such as weak fried onions or a rather dry veggie patty in the burger. The service was good and friendly, but with more attention it could have sold more drinks, for example.
