We had a delicious meal there, the service was very quick, the atmosphere is so typical of a brewery. We felt very comfortable.

Everyone gets that tavern feeling here. Very pleasant, although sometimes very loud when there is a lot going on. The service has been on point and has always been friendly. The beer garden is also pleasantly designed. The food is very tasty and the typical dish “Bockbierschnitzel” is definitely recommended.

Food was quite good. But organizationally impossible. We have reserved a table for a company party. When making the reservation we were not told that there was a follow-up reservation. At the end we were suddenly cashed in and asked to leave. It doesn't work that way. We will definitely never have a company party at Weltenburger again.

Sensational food and great ambience in the center of Regensburg! The Bockbier-Schnitzel is highly recommended, and the Weltenburger beer is also very good! Be sure to stop by when visiting Regensburg!

Despite the full house (on a Wednesday lunchtime) we received a warm welcome and friendly service. Antonia is truly a model of Bavarian hospitality! Super friendly, knows his stuff and despite the full house: always attentive, friendly and accommodating to all guests, on their toes and always ready with a smile. Really something very special!

A nice, rustic restaurant in the heart of Regensburg next to the cathedral, as the name suggests. We had Schäufle, schnitzel, soup and a children's meal. The service was quick, friendly and very fond of children. The food was very tasty and the portions were more than sufficient. The only thing we didn't like were the potato slices. These seemed more fried than fried. However, these were not declared as fried potatoes on the menu. If you like rustic Bavarian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere, Weltenburger is the right place for you.

Food (Schäufele) tasted ok, but unfortunately the smallest portion I was ever served......and I often eat Schäufele. Next time it would be better to go directly to the Weltenburg monastery.

We had dinner twice at the Weltenburger am Dom and, as hotel guests at the Achat, we didn't even have to leave the house. The food was excellent, good Bavarian cuisine and fast and attentive service. We were completely satisfied, because all the dishes were priced within the normal range, from €12 for a starter and €18-25 for a main course. A reservation was not absolutely necessary.

Antonia is a super-nice waitress who takes care of her guests quickly and with great care. Of course, all of this would be nothing without the fantastic food: the beef was super tender and the slip noodles melted away. First of all, the porcini mushroom soup is also very delicious: again and again!

I am posting as I saw the prior negative review. I also pulled up a second review he just posted on an excellent restaurant where he also trashed the food but did say they paid for his and his wife’s entire meal so he felt better. Unfortunately there are cheapskates who make a habit of complaining and are then happy when the restaurant pays for their meal. We had the Bockbierschnitzel which was fabulous. A special crisp breading using beer and some mustard. It was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly. Place is packed with Germans for a reason and they happily pay for their meal. Enjoy!

Nice beer garden, delicious meals, excellent service!

The entrance is quite hide, but once found we can say that it was a good choice. It was a rainy day, so unfortunately we didn't enjoyed the biergarten, but also the inside of the restaurant it's really welcoming and nice. We had a typical Bavarian lunch with spätzle, schnitzel and good beer. Good price-quality ratio.

After the whole day, I arrived completely hungry and was looking forward to having something classic. This restaurant directly encourages it. I started with potatoes with leek cream from the evening menu. The soup was absolutely delicious. Second course roast pork, cabbage, dumpling. I think whatever you order you can't go wrong. Absolutely great. Service: amazing, nice :). 100% recommendation

We were greeted very friendly and found a very well-structured and clear map. I had a small roast pork with dumplings and sauerkraut and my partner had the cheese spaetzle with fried onions. The food was a dream, beautifully crafted and made with high quality components. For dessert there was pumpkin seed oil ice cream with sauerkirchen and sour cream foam. That was delicious too! Overall it was a great experience to be here. 🥰

The Weltenburg monastery brewery on the Danube breakthrough in Bavaria is the oldest in the world (since 1050). If the journey there is too far for you, you are lucky enough to be able to enjoy the monastery brewery's very special beers at the "Weltenburger am Dom" in Regensburg. But it's not just the beers that are special here, the kitchen also offers delicious Bavarian delicacies and the service is super friendly (thanks Michael). I spent a very cozy afternoon here and enjoyed a Weltenburger Anno 1050 (caramelly, delicately hoppy), an Asam Bock (powerful, a dish in itself) and an excellent dumpling pan (potato dumplings, wild mushrooms, spinach, diced vegetables, cherry tomatoes, cress - compliments to the kitchen). To aid digestion, I allowed myself a shot of bloodroot. I'll definitely come back here!!

Die Kulisse war sehr schön. Leider nur der Biergarten geöffnet. Durch den Lärm und Hektik wollte man nicht verweilen. Die Bedienung völlig überfordert und unfreundlich. Man fühlte sich nicht willkommen. Speisen wie sehr oft in Brauereigastatten 90% fleischlastig. Schade!

They forgot that they had made a reservation for a wedding, which is why it wasn't decorated and they were greeted unsympathetically. Not even congratulations were expressed. Very unfriendly service. Also to other guests. The menu mentioned salmon trout. The daily menu only said trout. Which is why I was surprised that I also got a salmon trout... In general we were really disappointed. The fact that we received such an unfriendly welcome really dampened the mood for the bride and groom.

Our food arrived quickly, was super tasty and absolutely fresh. The freshly tapped beer is a dream... We were lucky and got a table on Sunday evening without a reservation. The staff was very friendly & attentive, the food was very good. You get traditional Bavarian cuisine with a modern influence, such as Bavarian tapas. The background noise is quite high when it's full, but that's what makes a pub cozy...

Very nice restaurant. Even at peak times you only wait 15-20 minutes for your food. Even though all tables were full, the waitress came to us several times and asked how satisfied we were. The portions are really good. Extra sauce was available free of charge. I recommend everyone to reserve in advance. Will definitely come again.

We were introduced to the restaurant/beer garden by chance by locals. Perfect addition to our short trip to Regensburg. A beautiful beer garden at the back, nice and shady in sunny weather with a rustic atmosphere: beautiful table decorations with flowers in snap-top beer bottles. Generally cozy and inviting. The food was delicious, although it was difficult to choose despite the clear menu. (I would have liked to try everything.) Vegetarians also get their money's worth. Weltenburger beer in all variations and at the end a pumpkin seed oil ice cream with cream and cherries. Right next to the cathedral and yet relaxed in the backyard. I can only recommend stopping by. (We were there for lunch on Tuesday)

Beer garden very nice, even in the rain, food good. We were there with 20 people. Almost everyone was satisfied with the food. However, everyone thinks that the prices are way too high. A roast pork over 20 euros is outrageous and not worth it. So if you want to eat normally and have normal prices, you have to avoid this place. Just because it's at the cathedral and you can't see it from the beer garden doesn't mean you have to set excessive prices. The landlord just wants the best for us.

5 stars very well deserved. We were lucky to get a spot in the beer garden early on a Saturday evening. The service was more than quick, really great praise for the service staff, especially the two ladies who served us in a very hospitable and warm manner. We had schnitzel Viennese style and Bockbier schnitzel, it was very tasty, rich and the food didn't take long to arrive. Gladly again at any time 🤗

Thanks for a very tasty burger. I can easily recommend the Burger with chanterelles. The meat is tasty and well prepared. Chanterelles give a unique taste. A whole set of sauces and mustards for the table dishes. Great idea. It was my first time in Regensburg and I will remember not only the monuments and people, but also your tasty burger. PS I also tried some of your white sausage. So delicious. I recommend

We had a reservation at 8pm, made our orders around 8:15 and got the main dishes about 9:20, the food was too salty and dry, like food warmed up in a microwave. We had forel, schnitzel, goulash and a pork shouder. Service was presumably overloaded and the waiting time was too long. Total waste of time and money.

When the weather is nice, the freshly tapped beer tastes great under the old grape arbor! Highly Recommended!!!
