Weltenburger am Dom in Regensburg

We sat outside in the beer garden. It was lovely! The portions were very generous. Luckily, we had some young people with us, who ate everything!

Very nice location. The food, schnitzel, was particularly delicious. And the 1050 beer first.😁 So cool.😄

It was a very pleasant stay, we were a group of 20 people, everyone was very satisfied. The service was quick and attentive. The menu is extensive, there is something for everyone, including vegan and vegetarian. The portions were generous and it tasted wonderful. Highly recommended!

Very nice, rustic inn. The staff was friendly and nice, but they often “forgot” us or didn't come for a while to reorder drinks or desserts. The food is very tasty. With the asparagus soup, we would have expected more soup for the hefty price. We just found the prices a bit too high.

We had the Bockbierschnitzel. 2 large but thin schnitzels and therefore way too much. . More breading than meat. The horseradish was not fresh and the bock beer sauce was over-seasoned. If you're paying over €20 for it, ONE schnitzel with enough thickness and at least a salad garnish would be appropriate. So nutritionally it was a failure. The service was very good and the atmosphere is very nice.

Very very small portions (pork knuckle) for a lot of money. Quality is okay but not worth the price.

Had Wallerfilet (fillet of wels catfish) and homemade Kürbiskernöl-Eis (ice-cream with pumpkin seed oil). The beer comes from a monastery nearby on the Danube where there has been a brewery since 1050 !

We always eat here when we visit Regensburg, it's a safe bet. The Schnitzel and Käsespätzl are spectacular. Their Weltenburger beer is very good. The waitress who served us in the biergarten was super friendly and friendly. We will repeat.

First time tried some Bavarian food and the taste was awesome. All the dishes look so interesting and a must try restaurant in Regensburg if you want to have authentic Bavarian food.

Among other things, we ordered the schnitzel with bock beer sauce, fried potatoes and fried onions - unfortunately the food overall was a disappointment. Everything seemed like it had come straight from the deep fryer: the schnitzel, the fried potatoes and even the fried onions were dripping fatty. I have never experienced a preparation like this before and was accordingly disappointed. Although the portion was very large, the taste was also overshadowed by a dominant pepper note. Unfortunately I can't recommend the food. The drinks should be highlighted positively - the beer was particularly good.

I was here for dinner with my colleagues. We didn't have any reservations and still got seats for 4 on a Thursday night. The restaurant was big and looked like a typical Bavarian style which is well preserved. I had their classic asam bockbeer schnitzel. The schnitzel was delicious with the beer sauce and on top of that the fried onion took the whole thing to another level. I had asam bockbeer which was delicious with a little sweet touch. Because of the taste I couldn't try any other beer from there. The service was great. Public parking is available next to the restaurant.

This is the place when you want an authentic Bavarian experience. You are welcome with a smile and every server responds to your needs. The uncovered wooden chairs and tables take you back to a simplistic time when people came together to just enjoy food and each other’s presence. Whenever you are visiting, this is a must stop.

We had lunch here with friends – two families with children. We ordered both the daily specials (business lunch) and dishes from the menu. The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. We would like to send our warm regards to the waitress – it’s truly a pleasure to be attended to by such a kind, smiling, and patient person. We strongly recommend visiting this place and enjoying their delightful dishes!

Meine Frau und Ich waren in Regensburg und sind zufällig auf den Weltenburger am Dom gekommen. Haben kurzfristig online reserviert, was hervorragend klappte. Bei der Ankunft wurde uns sofort ein Tisch zugeteilt. Von der Bestellung der Getränke und des Essen bis zum Servieren alles bestens. Die Speisen waren ebenfalls hervorragend und reichlich. Ein herzlichen Gruß an die überaus nette und freundliche Bedienung. ( Name ????)

We reserved a table online and it worked great. Unfortunately, my cheese spaetzle took on the taste and smell of the old iron mold in which they were prepared, which was a bit of a shame. When you mentioned this to the waiter you were looked at askance

We went to Weltenburger am Dom for lunch for the first time. The service was excellent, the food was simply great and the ambience was wonderful. Clear recommendation!

Very nice Bavarian inn, especially if you want to eat something creative, vegetarian or vegan beyond cheese spaetzle. The vegan cabbage roulade also delights non-vegetarians.

The quality of the food is good, the ambience is typically Bavarian, but a small point of criticism is the choice of dishes. You should check beforehand whether what they offer is personally sufficient. It was enough for us but please check first

Hierhin kommt man vor allem wegen des Bieres, aber das Essen kann sich auch sehen lassen. Der Schweinebraten ist geschmacklich gut, die Knödel hätten ein paar Minuten länger im Wasser bleiben können. Hervorragender Service.

I did not believe it, but the Bockbier Schnitzel is really to die for, together with a glass of the excellent Bockbier. Good quality, quantity and price. All supported by excellent and friendly staff.

Ambiente schön und ansprechend. Deas war's aber auch. Getränk kamen zügig. Auf das, gerade noch mittelprächtige, Essen mussten wir 45 Minuten warten. Andere Gäste die, nach uns kamen wurden früher bedient. Auch wurde eine Suppe komplett vergessen und ist aber dann trotzdem auf der Rechnung erschienen. Der Kellner lief mit den Händen in den Hosentasche durchs Lokal, die Bedienung aß, im Schankbereich,mit den Fingern aus einer Pfanne ohne diese danach zu waschen und ein anderer Keller genoss, mit Leidenschaft, in den Schankraum ohne sich die Hand oder ähnliches vorzuhalten. Wenn das Essen nicht so toll ist und auch die Bedingungen langsam sind..... Hygienemängeln, vor den Augen der Gäste geht, gar nicht.

We were in the Weltenburger am Dom with a group of 20 people. The food was excellent and the service was absolutely exemplary. We'd love to come back.

I think the menu is a bit small, but otherwise good

While the staff was super friendly, the kitchen left a lot to be desired - the quality of the food definitely doesn't justify the price. The soups were lukewarm and tasted mainly like Maggi. The salad was so sour and salty that it was barely edible. The main courses were equally disappointing: Käsespätzle didn't taste like cheese and was buried under a mountain of fried onion that was cold and not crispy. When it came to roast pork, the sauerkraut and dumplings were okay, but the meat was barely edible because it was so salty. The worst roast pork I've ever eaten. Staff and atmosphere were nice.

Bodenständige Küche mit großen aber guten Portionen, Schäufele war sehr lecker, viele Biersorten. Suppe hätte etwas wärmer sein können. Sicherlich auch viele Touristen

The tradition of German cuisine opposite Regensburg Cathedral: I ate a hearty and juicy Schäuferl with dumplings in the cozy atmosphere of the beer garden. The Weltenburger beer is excellent (the oldest monastery beer in the world).

Good food in a beautiful old inn.

We had lunch with cordon bleu and potato wedges. Both fried. It was served without sauce and was therefore so dry that it was difficult to swallow. The waiter was then approached and asked for sauce. This was then included in the invoice. The chef said the other 20 guests enjoyed it. He didn't want to comment on the menu because his boss had the day off. The managing director then understood and agreed with us. Either breaded cordon blue with something juicy like potato salad or a sauce with it. He took the sauce off the bill and even bought us a coffee. This is how customer service should be. This time we were dissatisfied, but we'll come back and eat roast onion, which looked very tasty.

We were there on New Year's Eve, it was very busy but there was food and drinks were served in a reasonable time. The only thing that bothered me was the noise level, which made it difficult for me to have a conversation with my table companions

Huge quantity of food at a good price and an amazing taste.

Das Essen ist nicht besonders hervorzuheben: Die Frittatensuppe schmeckte sehr nach gekauftem Wildfond, die Ente war recht trocken, das Rotkraut langweilig. Auch das vegetarische Essen glänzte nicht durch besondere Raffinesse. Insgesamt sehr durchschnittlich. Da gibt es sicherlich bessere Gaststätten in Regensburg. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.
